This is quite an interesting place. Facility is owned by Araceli Barrera and it's more of an event place than a regular restaurant. Check their website, they do a lot of Pop Up dinners with various chefs and I understand there is an occasional Happy Hour. The place is small .. only seats about 18 people comfortably. The house was full last night as we enjoyed a Seafood Summer Night, celebrating Donna B's 60th birthday. It was the start of a long weekend of celebrations created by Debbie P. Last nights dinner was prepared by Araceli Barrera, Chef Jonathan Chapin and Darlyu Butterfield of Reno Recipes. You usually have to register online to attend, but once you are there you have the options of adding the full tasting menu of wine, or if you prefer you can share a specific bottle of wine. Do not believe they serve by the glass, but they did have a few non alcoholic options. We had five courses last night: 1st : Crudo-Nectarine-Agua Chile (very thin sliced raw scallops) 2nd: Crab Salas-Kaluga Cavier 3rd: Hamachi CollarGreens-Truffle Beurre Rouge 4th: Crusted Halibut-Corn Jus-Basil Oil-Potatoes-Roe 5th: White Chocolate Ice Cream-Fruit-Caviar (yes, there was truly caviar on top of the ice cream). Everything was excellent as were the wines they were paired with (misplaced my wine list .. but it should be in my photos). Looking forward to another visit. We went for Raclette Friday - or was it Fromage Friday? We were there for a few hours enjoying CHEESE and more CHEESE and great wines in a pleasant atmosphere. I cannot wait to go back. Enjoy oozy, melty French Raclette cheese with baguette, cornichons, roasted potatoes, apple, and charcuterie. Such a great meal!

If anywhere took covid in stride, it's this place!!! They used to do large hosted fabulous dinners with pairings galore!! Now, since none of that can happen, they figured out an amazing way to stay afloat and thrive in those wacky 2020 world!! Sign up for their emails! Weekly they will post what their meals for the week are, you can purchase a meal for your family, pick it up and enjoy! The meal comes with all the sides, and even suggested wine pairings(that they will sell you too if you want!) Everything is fresh and fantastic, the menu is constantly changing! And they selections are always unique!! Perfect for a romantic at home date night!! Weekly they include a rib meal, if you don't know what to order, get the ribs! They are amazing! Oh and as an added bonus, they have an insane rotating cheese menu!! You remember all the artisan cheeses from wedge cheese shop... this place gave them a home when their landlord kicked them out!! So get ready for all the best cheeses in the world coming straight to your living room! While I can't wait for the hosted dinners to come back, I love the to give options they invent weekly! You must order in advance, so sign up for their emails, and get ready for your weekly drool fest.

I recently ordered one of their Vietnamese grilled chicken to-go meals for dinner. The ordering process was so simple, if you subscribe to their email list. They send me the monthly menus, I respond to order, and Laurel usually responds within a few hours or less. When I arrived to pick the food up, they had a table setup and my wine ready for me, I just paid (added on a few cookies for dessert) and the food was brought to my car hot and ready a few minutes later. When I got the food home and dished it out, the portions were extremely generous and everything looked and smelled beautiful. The Asian salad was simple yet delicious with fresh crunchy lettuce, almonds, and noodles and a light Asian dressing. The chicken was grilled to perfection and the rice was cooked perfectly. I would have liked the veggies cooked a little longer with a pinch more salt. But overall the meal was delicious. Laurel and Mark made a wine pairing selection for me and it paired PERFECTLY.& never would have thought to Pair red wine with Vietnamese food but it was absolutely divine. And the COOKIES. The cookies that I added on at checkout were moist and delicious, I wanted to eat 3 more! Overall, the ordering, pickup, and dining process were all pretty seem less and I've been excited to order another dinner ever since!

One of the reasons I drive to Reno. Despite the loss of Laurel the quality remains high. Picked up some great wines on this visit too.

We were in the area and saw the big black widow spider and thought what a large Halloween store. But we were pleasantly mistaken - What used to be a bowling alley has now been repurposed into an absolute wonderland of an experience. It's a full blown kid friendly adult friendly haunted warehouse. My 4 year old son had an absolute blast, it starts of with a bit of trick or treating as your making your way through the adventure, then turns into a full on experience as each and every room has a theme from Jurassic park, aliens, robots, clowns, skeletons, a mirror room that I conveniently banged my head into, all the way to the super psychedelic tunnel. Which leads you to the Macabre mansion - for adults and children too. THEY ARE EXTREMELY ACCOMMODATING- asking how scary you'd like the experience to be. Seeing as my Little guy is 4 we asked for no jump scares. And made it through enjoying every bit of the way. My little guy hugged the zombie, high fives leather face and complimented his chainsaw, noting it looked like it could use some oil, but the blood would do. We had an absolute blast. They are doing a Christmas themed experience as well. The owner has a dream, retired and sunk all of her savings into an experience we can all appreciate. I hope to see them sound for many many more years to come. Do yourself a favor and check them out! You won't be disappointed.

What a beautiful and quaint venue with both inside and outside space. Located inside the Rancho San Rafael Park and bordering the Ranch House grounds is the Wilbur D. May Arboretum. If you want to have a sit-down meal the space is limited. The weather was nice which meant a lot of people took advantage and were seated outside in the courtyard. The full house not including the kitchen is $90.00 an hour with a two-hour minimum and a maximum of 150 people along with a $500 cleaning deposit which is refundable. This was the second place we checked out and I immediately fell in love with this place. We had two other places we were going to tour but ended up cancelling because we just knew the Elm Estate was where we wanted to celebrate our special day! Why? Many reasons but for one - this place has it all! Not to mention the property is just absolutely beautiful! Ceremony, reception, and even lodging onsite- which not only made it convenient but unique too. Secondly what really stood out was - you truly feel the Elm Estate is invested in making your day one to remember! When you book with them, you have 3 detailing meetings, including an opportunity called "mixology" to sit with the bartender and customize your cocktails. We mostly worked with Emma and Shannon and they were very responsive and accommodating throughout the entire wedding planning process! Bridget was our day of onsite coordinator and she too absolutely made our day flow smoothly and beautifully. They add so many special little touches that make your experience feel VIP! If there was one downfall -I would say it was not being able to access the bridal suite (which by the way is stunning and everyone girl's dream aesthetics) until 2pm and having to do makeup and hair offsite instead- it made the logistics a bit challenging, but I guess that's what booking the cottages was for. It also always means a lot to me- when the owner of a business, personally comes and introduces themselves and checks in with you to make sure everything is good! All our guests loved the venue and we know we picked the best one! Elm estate and the staff truly exceeded expectations and helped make our wedding day a perfect one!!

The food was much like the service. It was just ok. I ordered the "spicy" pasta dish with grilled chicken added. Flavor was pretty flat on both the pasta and chicken, and there wasn't much spice to speak of. My wife's club sandwich was decent...leaving the fries as the stand out between the two meals. My opinion, the food and service doesn't match the cost. This was a $100 meal. Yes, it's in an airport so you can expect inflated pricing. However, I don't feel it's worth the price.
