How would you like it if your travel agent just plain dropped the ball and forgot you? That's exactly what happened with Kelly Hyatt of Welcome Abroad Travel and us. Both Kelly and we invested a good amount of time discussing a potential vacation trip to Mexico. Kelly promised to email us particulars within the next day or in two days at most. About six weeks later, we still have never heard another thing from her. Hopefully she is not terribly sick or passed, but if not, she would hardly inspire us to put our time, money, and more in her hands if she is unwilling or incapable of carrying through. (Yes, we could have called her, but we also wanted to see how reliable this agency is.) We ended up planning the trip ourselves. read more

Just requested a quote from Barbara and I had mentioned I tried booking with Expedia but they had no transfer at the airport. I had to call back after a day, and she stated she did not want to waste her time quoting me because she cant compete with Costco Travel. I was upset because, it was Expedia I looked at and she did not quote me anything in the meantime. After talking to her she decided to quote me and she gave me the incorrect information and had a unprofessional approach. Eventually, she disconnected the and said this is not working for me. I am appalled with the service from this travel agency. I have booked multiple trips with Kelly and Kim. And NEVER got this type of customer service. read more

I recently booked a trip of a lifetime through Kim at Welcome Aboard Travel. I wanted to see the Mediterranean with as many countries as possible. I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing Kim was. She booked my flights, transfers, the ship, and the itinerary. The flights were great. She made sure I had ample time between flights so I couldn't ever miss a connection. She got me the best seats and if I wanted premium seating, she got it for me. I was pampered the whole way. She took care of all of my transfers. This was my first time international traveling, so I was a little intimidated. She handled all the things that worried me, like getting rides from the airport to hotels or to the port. Kim got me a great room, mid ship, on a perfect deck. I saw Barcelona, Toulon, Florence, Naples, Rome, Mykonos, Athens, Istanbul, Kusadasi, and Venice. Nothing went wrong and the travel was on point. Had the most magical trip to Orlando, Florida that was booked by Angie. It was 10 days at the happiest place on earth...DisneyWorld and Universal Studios to see Harry Potter park. Angie spent so much time with us making our trip so special. She helped us book reservations at restaurants, special places to visit in the park and even got us scheduled on rides with Fast passes. The only reason I called Welcome Aboard was because I had referred to a specific agent, Angie Klinke. Upon learning Angie was no longer with the company I proceeded to work with Sarahgrace Walsh. I had to do all the leg work, sent multiple e-mails, could never get a straight answer and she ended up booking us at two different hotels for our trip to Disneyland. Luckily for me, I found Angie at Deluxe Travel and asked her to take over our reservations. Upon contacting the owner at Welcome Aboard, Leonard Wohletz, he insisted that I deliver a hand written letter to their office (I live 1 1/2 hours away) and pay a fee of $100 to compensate them for "all the work they already did." Furthermore, Sarahgrace called me and said "so Angie gets the credit for everything I did the last 5 days?" To say that they are unprofessional is an understatement! read more

Less than bankers hours make it impossible to reach them when you really need help - like when your Sunday flight is canceled...Slow to respond during business hours and zero discount from expedia prices. I could have booked the trip myself for the same price, less their booking fee. read more
