The food is crafted daily and so delicious. Yesterday's special was carne asada with street corn, fresh tomatillo sauce, and pico de gallo. It was fresh, healthy, and flavorful. The rotating specials are a reason to keep coming back. I also had a maple almond latte (freshly made almond milk!) and the lavender honey latte because I had to try! I went back later for the Chaga Chai. It was a lot of beverages and by the end of the day, and I was so full but it was worth it. So good. I'm going back again today to pick up some goodies for the road, and when I'm traveling again, I will 100% make it a point to stop in.

You will get several full filets in a hot dog bun - no bits and pieces here! The poutine gravy is my wife's favourite. She saves some of the hot dog bun to dip so as not to miss a drop. The poutine curds are from St. Albert's (Cheese Factory). They have won a 'World Champion'ship' from Cheddar, England - the home of (aw! you guessed it) - Cheddar. We have met many folks there who, like us, will drive an hour for a great perch roll! We always get the same thing and our order is started when we are seen arriving. Can't say about the other many food options; but, judging by the responses we have seen - they are just as good! Enjoy!

These squares haunt my dreams, that's how good they are! There's a layer of brownie, then a thick layer of gooey marshmallow then a peanut buttery chocolate spread on top that has crisped rice in it. It's heavenly, and only $3 for a good sized piece. I had a chat with the man manning the stall and he said he was the owner's dad. He was super nice and we chatted a bit and I asked him where the bakery was, and he said Chesterville. I asked him where that was and he said 45 minutes southeast of Ottawa, and told me a bit about Chesterville. He also said they are frequently at the Farmers' Markets in Westboro and Lansdowne. If you are in Chesterville, I would definitely recommend checking out the dessert squares at The Rite Bite. Or if you are an urbanite like me, check them out at the Farmers' Markets, lol. Can't wait to get more squares! ;)

We ordered a birthday cake + smash cake for our son's first birthday. It was more than we would…read moregenerally spend on a cake, but as we couldn't have a party due to the lockdown, we wanted to splurge. The cake wasn't ready when we went to pick it up as something had fallen off of it, but the shop had the cake delivered to our home a few hours later. Ultimately we were quite disappointed by the fact that we didn't get the flavour we had ordered for either the main or the smash cake. When we reached out to discuss this with the shop, they were reticent to accept responsibility before ultimately offering us 25% off toward our next purchase at Fairy Sweet. Considering our experience this first time around, we will hesitate to order a cake from them in the future.
