We entered the shop and greeted right away with friendly staff, the shop is bit small and have couches and table to sit, and has fancy interior light, lots of wood frame with picture of Sacramento Bridge , and others places. Which is very unique and local feel likes, We line to place the order, has menu in front with you to easy to browse, we order beef kebab. we waiting around 10mins to deliver our food. The have very comfy chairs and tables. The food is delicious, which Is we love it. We always be our spot for kabab food in this area. This place is a nice spot to have dinner or even lunch. Today my husband surprised me with lamb kebab plate. First and foremost, we love their food but we have not been here in a while. It's not the same. We love the way they cook the rice before this. I do not like the vegetable in the rice and it doesn't taste the same like it use to be. It's not bad but it's not the same. The salad is good, with a piece of bread probably a table spoon of hummus to eat with the bread use to be4 pieces/quarter of a bread now only half of a bread. Went in on a whim with a friend, ordered the gyro fries and the Greek salad... the food was served to us very quickly, and the food was very noticeably fresh. The salad and vegetables were super refreshing and the fries came out hot. The extra tzatziki and hot sauce they gave us complimented everything well. I'm not one to write reviews, but after waiting 30 minutes for our food (no one else was in restaurant dining in) we got our food and brought it home only to find hardly any meat on it at all. Been here in 2019. Decided to try them again for dinner this Wednesday, 9/27/2023. When we arrived, there were only 2 other patrons eating there. The table we sat at was dirty. Again. So I cleaned it myself. Again. That part didn't change. the gyro was still good. The tiziki sauce is still more mayo-ey and not enough cucumber flavor. Not sure what happened. It's been a while since I ordered from here, but the food used to be very good. Maybe there are new owners? The chicken gyro I got tasted like shredded chicken from a can -- the texture was more like flavored canned tuna than fresh chicken. Also, I didn't get any fries with my order even though the Yelp picture showed them included. There was no one else in the store, and the only worker there seemed very unpleasant. I got the beef and Lamb gyro and it was saucy but not too saucy and the meat was tender and juicy. All the portions are generous and the fries were seasoned, hot and crispy. Ordered medium spicy and the jury is out on the flavor the spicy adds. Loved the fries, perfect salt & flavor and I normally don't like any style of fries except shoestring. Perhaps it was a combination of food ready and steamy in container upon pickup, and my transport in an insulated bag, but if I did a next time, I'd order from my car in the parking lot. It was soggy. The baklava ($1.99) seemed not the freshest. I'd skip next time. Maybe they don't sell them as fast and they sit longer. Maybe it was my stomach rioting about no food all day and I ate too much, or maybe it was the baklava, but I needed a couple of tums. Came in here to give em a try and wasn't really impressed with anything here. First off we had questions and asked about substitutions and they weren't really accommodating for low carb so we just told them to hold the pita bread and then they charged us an up charge to do a salad instead of the rice or bread! Ok well we were expecting the meat to be wonderful at least but no...very small portion on a small Paper plate (we ate in) and just a bag iceburg salad mix which we got charged extra for. Ordered delivery and the food was delicious. We ordered samosas, lamb and beef gyro meal with gyro fries and mango Lassi. The white sauce has a lot of flavor and you can add it to anything. The fries have some spices to them that give it a special kick. Only thing I would chanfe is the Mango Lassi was really thick and sweet. I ordered a combo platter and a side of hummus and pita. My platter had so much rice. The salad was mediocre at best. I didn't feel like this was traditional, I felt like it was less flavorful to accommodate more people maybe. But so much rice, and no sauce. Called early to place an order for 10 chicken kabobs for an event. If you want to make adjustments I'd recommend doing it in person because it was extremely difficult to understand/hear them over phone. I confirmed the total was $100 multiple times and told them I'd pick it up at around 7pm. Unfortunately, I was running late to pick up the order since there was an emergency at home. But they wouldn't stop calling me while I was driving even though I told them my situation and reassured them I was on the way with an ETA the first time. I arrived at 7:30pm and immediately took my card out to pay (I was in a hurry since I was now late for the event too), and the guy rang me up for $160. I can usually tell when ppl make an honest mistake but I felt like he was taking advantage of me being in a hurry and also how apologetic I was. I almost tapped my card, until I saw the total and told him it was $100. He pretended like he had a memory lapse and corrected it, but that just didn't sit well with me. I thought I'd just share this story so they don't upsell you on "accident". Food was alright. Quite salty though. Regardless they've lost my trust. read more

UPDATE: Although their food is always delicious, I always need to call after I confirm my DoorDash order. When I specify in the notes that I want no veggies or a certain veggie, they still put it in there.... also, try have really lessened their french fry portions for the sandwiches. Lastly, I never had a problem asking for an extra sauce packet because I like to pour extra white sauce on my gyro and fries-- (they already give just one) but when I request just one more, they demand a new charge for it. Unnecessary in my opinion. This is my favorite Gyro spot in all of Sacramento!!! Their beef/lamb gyro is so good! Especially when spicy! The workers know my order from when I walk in or call in!
