    1/2 Combo

Late night eats, we dropped in "Al Cuisine" one of the 300,000 halal kabob joints brightly lit with 4 foot fluorescent tubes missing a few letters. That's why we couldn't find "Royal Cuisine." Bare bones ambiance with a LCD menu screen that highlighted pics of protein plates and platters showing the same exact garnishes of rice, beans, cuke salad and flatbread on each plate. Almost everything is under $20. The one staff was pleasant and patient explaining the best he could what was included in the combo platter: 2 of each kabob, salad, bread, rice, beans $32. Ordering it to go we opened up the heavy parcel and saw 2 exact containers wondering if we ordered 2 of each. But no, it's the combo of marinated chicken, beef and lamb that were separately marinated and charcoal grilled. Great clean flavors, not overly spiced nor overcooked. Beans and rice were cooked correctly but a little bland, that needed yoghurt or chili paste for moisture. Good sized portions that were actually lean in nature, the cucumbers, tomatoes and dill helped bring the moisture together. Flatbread was serviceable but no oil or seasoning.

Coke, I bought. I get the Chicken Kabobs every time.

I love their food! Service is good and the best part is the freshness and quiet you experience when going in. Love it! I buy every time the chicken kabobs, but it's all good!

The restaurant is very basic from the inside but the food quality is top notch! Everything tasted phenomenal. Chicken kabobs were tender and flavorful and chapli was nicely cooked. Meal included bowl of soup and bread. Portion size is pretty decent. Waiter also served us tea free of charge. Would recommend 10/10 for taste and hospitality.

Great place for inexpensive Persian/Afghan food! We ordered the mixed grill platter, lamb shank, eggplant, and ghormeh sabzi. Our favorite was the beef koobideh! They brought out a huge bowl of bread which paired well when dipped with the eggplant and sabzi. The lamb shank was tender and juicy. Service was friendly and welcoming. The place is a little hidden. The restaurant was clean and open. We would definitely come back again!

Item from their website and also in store.

I ordered the chicken wings and did not get what was pictured and was overpriced in my opinion. The menu sayid that the chicken wings comes with a salad and bread and a side. They said it comes with fries or rice only, even though their menu of sides was a lot of items. Also from the picture it looks like you'd expect six whole wings. That's not what I got. I'm pretty dissatisfied.

this is to order and this one is $12

I ordered two dishes and they gave me one dish. I told the cashier that this was two dishes. He said yes, but it was one dish. No good customer service. I am very upset.

    Lamb kebab

Stopped here on a whim with my bf. They were making meat outside and the smell was great. Very warm and friendly place with genuine hospitality you don't encounter often. I got the lamb kebab and my bf got the chicken kebab. Both dishes come with salad, bread, and beans. Before we started, we were given some tea which, although not something I'm accustomed to, was quite fitting. Highly recommend.

Hot Saffron Tea - lovely with the lemon inside with sugar to taste. Perfect for a rainy day!

Absolutely delicious! My partner's parents recently discovered this place and came back multiple times in one week - and I have to say I understand why. While the decoration and look of the space is simple, the food and service is top-notch. We made a point to order both lamb and beef kebabs, eggplant and then dessert. Each dish was delicious, and a good balance between freshness and flavour. While both beef and lamb were tender and juicy, the family vote was towards the lamb, with the eggplant order also being a crowd favourite at our table. A big portion for me, so I had leftovers but my partner nearly cleared his plate. Definitely coming back, we even got some food to go for lunch tomorrow! Highly recommend if you're in the neighborhood. ((Bonus: The staff gave us a small preview of what's to come on the menu, so lots to look forward to. They were also kind and accommodating, especially when we had specific questions about the dishes.))

We usually come here as a large group during the holidays, and I always have a great time!!!…read more The service is really good, and the food is top tier for authentic kabob, the steak kabob is really realllly good! I'm not vegan but if I was I'd eat here daily, their olive salad (not sure of the name at the moment) is absolutely delicious, grilled veggies are cooked perfectly. I'm making it my New Year's resolution to eat here at least once a month. The prices are very reasonable also. 12 of us just ate there for just under $400 with drinks.

Kolbeh Kabob serves Persian and Mediterranean cuisine…read more Language barrier issues with our server affected my ability to order what I wanted, led to an upsell, and prevented me from separating or splitting the bill. Server did offer to let us choose 2 different meats for our two #41 Koobideh plates (2 beef skewers for $25), but I think we would have been better off just ordering one #61 All Koobideh plate (3 different meat skewers for $34). One plate has plenty of basmati rice for two people to share. She suggested the two #41 orders, instead of answering how much an extra order of rice would cost. Maybe you can't order a side of rice? Rice comes with each entree. By ordering the 2nd plate, she offered or included the $8 Bread Basket for no extra charge. It was my friend's birthday. I wanted to pay, and she wanted to order extra to go, so I wanted two separate bills, but it seemed too complicated to explain or disallowed. After the food was delivered to the table, server didn't check on us anymore. I guess the restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays. My friend thought all the koobideh tasted the same. I liked them in this order: 1) Lamb, 2) Chicken, and 3) Beef, but they're the same texture, so they aren't all that different. I should have ordered a different 2nd entree, instead of two Koobideh plates. The #18 Bademjan Borani eggplant appetizer was yummy. It did come with some bread, so you don't have to order the bread basket. The bread is served warm. The basmati rice was light and fluffy, but not flavorful or buttery. You can pay a $4 upgrade to switch the rice to salad or a fancier stir fried rice. Read the Vegetarian Dishes menu section to learn about the various fried rice or polo preparations. Our server suggested the Fava Bean Rice or Baghali Polo because it is a Persian New Year dish. Yelp reviewers recommended the Zereshk Polo, which includes barberries, a fruit similar to currants. $10 to add a skewer of veggies. $4 to add a salad is mentioned under the Vegetarian Dishes menu and Seafood & Combination Plates menu. I didn't like how the sugar cubes for the Persian Tea were served. It looked communal and exposed to the elements. You could see sugar dust on the serving bowl. Other Persian restaurants serve the sugar in a smaller covered bowl. Formal dining room. Lunch specials are Monday to Friday, 11 am to 3 pm, excluding holidays. Lunch prices range from $16-$20. 3 different $8 soup offerings: chicken barley, ashe reshteh, or green lentil.

The lady who was serving us (and I think the owner?) was so sweet, she helped us decide on what to order. Everything made to order and the price was really good. We got heaping portions for two people and it was less than $30 for lunch including drinks and dessert! We split the combo ($17.99) and added pita (2.99), two drinks, and a baklava. The baklava was huge, shaped like a rose and had hints of rose. The meat was so tender and juicy, the rice was aromatic. The hummus was so good and the fire roasted tomatoes. The pita was the only thing I was meh on. There were plenty of parking in the strip mall. We'll definitely be back!

Staff are very kind and welcoming. Our order: Lamb Shish. A classic kabob skewer cooked to order, served with basmati rice, hummus, grilled onion, onion, and grilled tomato. Gheymeh. A stew of split yellow peas, and small pieces of beef. Tomato based, it's also flavored with orange zest, and served in a bowl, alongside basmati rice. Zereshk Polo. Saffron rice cooked with. barberries. Served with four pieces of dark meat chicken, tzatziki and pita. As the kabobs are cooked to order, our food took about 15 minutes to come out. Fair enough! Lamb shish is ONE skewer consisting of six pcs. A bit misleading as the menu describes the dish using the plural "skewers". The lamb pieces are of a decent size, each the size of 1.5 or 2 bites. They aren't super tender, but good enough unless your dentures are loose. The rice is done well, and the char on the onions and tomato is good. The hummus is a nice touch. This dish is 3 stars (A-OK). The Gheymeh stew was the star of our meal. Perfectly seasoned and quite flavorful. The orange flavor and aroma is enticing. The bowl of stew didn't need any of the accompanying rice. We could have eaten several bowls each. NOTE: this isn't a thick or hearty stew per se. It's more of a thick soup, like a gumbo. 5 stars (as good as it gets). Our Zereshk Polo was a large serving. The chicken was an unexpected part of the dish (we missed it on the description). The rice was very good, but the stewed chicken was well overdone and had lost most of its flavor. The tzatziki and pita were nice. 2 stars (we've had better). This would have rated higher if the chicken was as good as the rice. Here, it detracted from the dish. We must have ordered this on a bad day as other Yelpers enjoyed this dish. FOOD: 3 stars. We'd return if in the area, but would skip any dishes featuring stewed chicken. A late lunch for two hungry people with a lot of leftovers; out the door, with tax, 3.8% credit card service fee, and tip: $73.

When you walk in, you feel immediately welcomed by the staff. There is nothing pretentious about this place at all. For an appetizer, we got the Bademjoon- an eggplant dip served with naan. To make it vegan, asked for the kashk on the side. The dip by itself was good, but with the hashk, it took it the whole new level. They also gave us an oil and mint dressing, which was phenomenal. For my main course I chose to have the beef Koobideh with rice, salad and a roasted tomato. I could eat those roasted tomatoes all day long. My friend shared a secret with me- cut roasted tomato, mix it in with the basmati rice and top with sumac. What an amazing combination? Throughout our meal, staff would pass by and see how we were doing. Not intrusive, it didn't feel like a server asking you if you need anything. All in all my meals here have been great. If it was a little bit closer to home, I would probably go more often. Parking is a little touch and go sometimes there's parking and sometimes there isn't. The lot is very small.
