If you want the world's tasteless chicken ever come down to this nasty A$$ truck back in the day this place was golden but definitely fell off due to the fact they been there so long so they really don't care *& i should have went with my gut feeling when he showed me my salad *& the chicken looked freaking white af! Worst part they have the nerve to raise the price to 8 dollars now I'm home trying to season this tasteless shhh *& its still nasty never again !

If you say goodbye, I say halal. Halal, halal. I don't know why you say goodbye, I say Halal. I grew up on Sammy's, so everything else is a step down. Okay, no, I didn't grow up on it at all, but I may as well have, since I eat it seventeen times every time I'm in New York. I also love Zaiqa near Flushing. Compared to those, this is not the place for me. But even compared to the behemoths like Halal Guys, it still falls short. The combo at HP was just okay, not the best ever. Service was okay, but there was no drink with combo. I didn't really eat too much of it but the chicken was better than the bland Gyro. Still, I'd rather eat mediocre halal food than a good version of most other dishes. And they have buy one get one free on dice right now, so you can get a "paradise" for the price of 1.

    Combo Platter $6

Tuesdays are considered date night for my husband and me. We are by no means well off, so date night usually involves eating in and watching TV or a rented movie. Tonight, after looking for winter boots at the Atlantic Terminal Mall, we were getting really hungry. We ventured outside and started walking towards all of the restaurants on Atlantic. Instead of stopping into a sit down place, this huge truck caught my eye. For a mere $12, my husband and I enjoyed the lamb on rice platter and the combo plate off of this truck that isn't actually located at 450 Union St even though that's the address printed on the side of the truck. It's actually a huge, green truck parked in front of Attar Monir on 4th Ave near Atlantic Ave. You can get to this place just by coming out of the Atlantic Terminal. OH MY GOODNESS! The meat was perfectly spiced, grilled, and juicy. The yellow rice was fragrant and fresh, not dried out like some other carts. The cucumber, tomato, onion, green peppers, and lettuce for the salad were crisp and fresh. The yogurt dill sauce aka white sauce and the hot sauce were so flavorful and complimented the meat, rice, and veg so well. A $6 dinner fit for a king. The man making the food was very kind. The amount of food he fit into the foam trays was eye-popping. See photo. I urge you to stop by.

What a bargain for $6-7 range at this food truck. The combination plate came with chicken and lamb gyro, rice, salad and a tangy white sauce and spicy red harissa sauce. The flavor was incredible! It was very filling and a total bargain for how much food you get. Service was quick and friendly.

Combo plate ;) chicken & lamb, yummmm.

I love halal. Probably the one thing I was more excited for about coming back to NY! This truck is near my friends place so we came here twice during our trip. SOOO good. So so good. Be careful on the red sauce though, it's hella spicy! Not as spicy as halal guys red sauce, but its still spicy! Haha. After trying both this and halal guys, I think I'd have to say I like this one better. Until next time NY, I will be dreaming about halal plates until then!!!

Super fresh ingredients. $5 for an excellent chicken gyro and $6 for the chicken platter. Best of all for me who loves spicy food is that their hot sauce is actually very hot! They give a ton of food for the money you pay and it's cooked very quickly. Location moved. It's a lime green cart on corner of Atlantic and 4th avenue, right in front of Dunkin donuts across the street from P.C. Richards.

These guys rock. It takes all my strength not to get chicken and rice every single day. Good service too.

None of the Americanized Mexican Trucks and Restaurants have that specific cut of meat and frankly, it's my favorite by far so when I saw it on the menu in this truck as I was passing by, I had to give it a shot. It's honestly really easy to tell whether or not the tongue is done well because it's either tender and delicious with a slight bounce, or it's excessively chewy and bland, and I'm glad to say that this is the former. Everything else is just baseline good quality, from the wrap to the rice and beans and all the fixings inside as well. While definitely not the biggest burrito I've ever had, it's a pretty good size overall so I can't really complain.

But anyway, it's now Morelos (one of my favorite spots from Sunset Park). My friend and I were turned away from late night pizza, so this was our consolation prize. Scratch that, this should've been the first place prize. Like so many taco places in NYC, they've leaned into making birria tacos. We asked if they were any good, and they were wishy-washy about it, so we didn't order them. Got some al pastor and cochinita pibil tacos instead. While we were waiting for them, the guy we spoke to actually gave us a sample of the birria. I know it was the end of the night, but super nice of him! Also... he was right. Don't get them. The al pastor and cochinita pibil ones, however, were pretty solid. Never had cochinita pibil before, but it might be my new favorite. Will definitely be back on another one of my drunken escapade nights!

The empanada was not like the usual closed off empanada, it was like open like a taco but instead of a taco shell, it was like the empanada dough. I didn't try the mulita yet but it was huge. Filling between two tortillas and I saw some guac filling as well. The consome was good! Not too salty - and has general pieces of meat inside the soup. The tacos were good but I felt like it lacked a little depth. I added some of the mango(?) it was a sweetish salsa and that gave it a nice little kick.

Whenever friends visit my area, I consider this place one of the staples that I'll bring them to. In the summertime, I have even made use out of their limited seating outdoors. Usually, the service is fairly straightforward--you order, get your receipt then move down to the window and wait for your name to be called. Not much pleasantries but they get the job done. However, today I had an experience that left a poor taste in my mouth and honestly will put me off from going back for at least a while. When I went up to order, I asked for "the combo with birria tacos and consome", the cashier confirmed with me if I wanted "just Birria tacos? Or the combo?", I replied, "right, the birria taco combo." I think trying to be overly explicit led to the misunderstanding, because I got my order with only 3 Birria tacos. When I asked about the missing consome, she repeatedly insisted that I said no to the combo. After prolonged back and forth, she asked if I want consome, and when I said yes, she proceeded to ring it up on its own for $4. The thing is, I had already pulled out a dollar to cover it, as it's only a 50 cent difference between the combo and 3 tacos alone. I pointed this out, to which she shoved the consome at me with a look of disgust and told me she didn't want the money. I left the dollar in the tip jar anyway, but I felt uncomfortable from the exchange and also that it held up the delivery drivers and other patrons waiting in line to order.
