She had to deliver food to customer outside. As she went outside an older woman came out from back looking like she'd been wearing same clothes for weeks and playing in flour. She was bot at all polite and had an attitude. I asked if they still had the $5 special which is supposed to include 2 piece chicken, 5 nuggets and a medium soft drink. She hands me a box with no drink and after I asked she said no drink is included and its an upcharge. I showed both of them what supposed to be included and she said they do not honor that. I asked for a refund and she said they do not give refunds. I asked to speak to manager and she told me there was none then she said she was the manager. I tried explaining that as part of a franchise they have to honor their contractual obligations but it was like speaking with a 2 year old. After just finally leaving, come to find out she gave me 2 drumsticks, a mashed potatoe and a biscuit that looked like it been out in the sun all day affer falling 30 stories to its demise. Never again, will I go there! ​

When we found out that Dave's was opening a franchise in South Jersey we were so excited since that is where my family is from! We hyped it up to them and told them that they were going to LOVE it! When we were just home visiting, we got to finally try it out since they opened last year! The restaurant is very cool, plenty of tables, very open, and they even have seating outside as well! One thing we love about Dave's is the different art in each location, it's so cool to see how it changes wherever you visit! We also love that in every restaurant you can find a bit of their story from how they started in a parking lot in LA! We ordered the 2 slider meal with fries, one extra hot and one medium with cheese. We also ordered a side of mac and cheese as well as 2 drinks. The order came out pretty fast and the food looked delicious as always. We loved how fresh the chicken was and the perfect seasoning of the chicken to make it the correct spice level! The fries were amazing, as always and the mac and cheese was creamy! One thing that makes the slider the most perfect is the crunch of the kale slaw! It wraps up the flavor profile so perfectly! OH! And we can't forget to talk about the Dave's sauce. Get extra. You won't regret it! Overall, this is out favorite restaurant to get hot chicken from! This chicken sandwich was SO good. SO crispy and flavorful. Even when I reheated the rest of it for lunch today, it was still so crispy. The tater tots aren't really my style. A bit too crispy for me and not enough potato going on inside, but the side of honey mustard with it was great and was it's saving grace. I of course got a cornbread muffin and that was good too, but the honey butter really made it great.
