Do not waste your time with this group. We were highly recommended here from a group that was…read morerespected in our neighborhood and told they were the best and that are complaints with our current hospice company would be resolved w/o doubt if we switched. The sales lady was always late but reassured my mother who was in distress 24/7 that she wouldn't disappoint her and that they were staffed to be able to handle my father's needs. I won't write a whole saga here but it boils down to the fact that despite knowing intimate details of the issues we were trying to improve with moving hospices and the reassurance she gave us that she would take care of us, we got WORSE service in every way.... My father has Lewy body dementia and they changed his nurse and aid every couple of visits bc they were understaffed (even though she promised they weren't). My dad is nervous enough with everything going on and having constant delusions to have to deal with constant new faces bringing him more anxiety! The nurses didn't answer their hotlines even though we were promised there are multiple people on call and my mother had to deal with issues taking him to emergency and calling for lift assists from Fire dept bc hospice wasn't responsive, the equipment if it was delivered was always missing something, took hounding and came between 10pm and midnight!!!! Who in the HECK services elderly people on hospice in the wee hours of the night. The stories are endless and the switch to a new hospice was within a few months bc despite all the people you beg to help who promise to... they don't. Don't get me started on the paperwork. They caused my dad to lose more benefits than he should have switching hospices bc they didn't transfer him properly and weren't responsive to our old hospice forcing them to drop him instead of doing a transfer like it should have been. Just horrible... the only reason for a 2 is bc they have some good ppl but they don't stay so it's not worth it.

This was the first visit for our new born with follow ups after being released from the hospital…read more The staff was super friendly and Dr. Julie was kind, gregarious, and knowledgeable without being condescending. We absolutely LOVE Dr. Fischer…read more She has been my son's pediatrician since the day he was born, and now--four years later--we're still with her. Even after moving to Austin, I continue to make the drive back and forth to San Marcos just so my son can remain in her care. That's how much she means to us. Her presence, her heart, and her dedication are irreplaceable. From the very beginning, Dr. Fischer has made it her mission to care not only for my son but for me as a mother. That kind of care is rare. I'll never forget one visit when my son was still a baby--I was sitting in the room, completely overwhelmed and silently crying. When Dr. Fischer walked in and saw me, she didn't hesitate--she came over, gave me the warmest hug, and comforted me like she had known exactly what I was feeling. It was a moment of kindness I will never forget. She listens--truly listens. She validates my concerns, never makes me feel inadequate, and gives reassurance in the most compassionate way. There's no condescending advice or rushed appointments--just warmth, gentleness, and care. My son gravitates to her, and it's no surprise. She's so loving, patient, and thoughtful. She remembers the little things, the big things--everything. To this day, if she's not available, I will reschedule or skip the appointment altogether. That's how much we value her. And honestly, we plan to continue seeing her until we physically leave the state. No one else compares--she's set the bar so high that I'm not sure we'll ever find another provider quite like her. If she ever left the practice, I'd follow her without hesitation. Dr. Fischer, thank you for being the kind of doctor who doesn't just care for your patients--you love them. You've made a lasting difference in our lives, and we're forever grateful. With heartfelt appreciation, Genesis' Mom

From the minute we entered the ER until discharge today, the staff was attentive, friendly, educated, informative, and personable. They took time to answer all the questions we had which were many. They made sure that we were always taken care of, always asking what we needed. We felt like we were VIPs and we wanted for nothing...well except better fold-out cots for the family to sleep on, but considering my husband's life was at stake, that even was not enough to complain about. There's Nurse Bob who went over and above every step of the way. Dr Lee was wonderful and spent so much time with us instead of rushing off to do something else. The food was very good especially as far as hospital food goes. Even those that came in to take vitals or clean or bring our food, everyone was upbeat and polite. But I really enjoyed more than anything else was that every day began with a prayer for staff and patients! Of you have to be in a hospital, this one is a great choice. The doctors were attentive and did not make you wait hours and hours to do things or to talk to you or to follow through with tests. I just can't say enough good things about this hospital!

I came to Daniel to get a vertical labret a few years ago, and after he approved that I have the right anatomy, he talked me out of it after noticing I have a habit of chewing my lips. I cannot explain enough how grateful I am for that, and he explained that I could possibly hurt myself and even mess with the piercing as it heals, and cause it to migrate. We ended up doing my second lobes instead and the experience was extremely quick and easy, and probably the most pleasant piercings I've had done in my life. I just saw Evette today, as I was having a bit of a piercing emergency. A month ago, I had my third lobes done at a different studio and that piercer used these rubber/silicone backings instead of the standard flat backs, and had them shoved so far up the piercing my ear had no room to heal or swell properly. After 4 weeks of agony (even compared to a blackout sleeve and nipple piercings), I came to One and Only today to see about getting these changed out. Evette managed to pry the balls off, and I mean they were on so tight that at some point she had to yoink that shit off like King Arthur, and after about 45 minutes of working on them both of the bad, old piercings were off and I felt comfort for the first time in a month. This whole time she explained what she was doing, and was extremely sweet, professional and empathetic. Her daughter (I believe her name was Emily) was with her training and I don't know if I could've gone through that experience with anyone different. Ultimately, we couldn't save one of the piercings as the pressure wound was so bad Evette did not feel comfortable with the risk of putting another earring in. (pics of the wound below, trigger warning as it is gnarly) I was given very clear and explicit instructions on after care and invited to come back to repierce it once the area is completely healed. Evette and Daniel are both honest, and it's so so clear that they care and have a passion for the people they work with, as well as the art of piercing. They could've easily sold me a vertical labret and a second piercing, but they cared for my well being more than the money they could've easily got out of me. This level of honesty and integrity is something I have yet to come across again in the industry. I don't think I'll visit another piercer again as long as these two are in business. Evette and Daniel, thank you. Yall are angels

I'm sure the tons of graphic design students at TXST could've made a flier for an affordable price...or you could've just used Canva. Legit no excuses when you charge people $91 for seconds... Also not their bio on here written with AI... it doesn't feel sincere at all. EDIT: Nice to see they'll also respond with whataboutism and AI generated responses too LOL. Turns out you can't be mad at two things at once! As a small business owner myself funnily enough, I make use of my own personal creativity and do not cheapen my work by using shortcuts. Two or three years ago we weren't using AI to this extent and everyone was just fine. Canva may use AI, but there's a thing called OPTING IN. All in all, as someone with integrity and appreciates genuine artwork from real people, I won't be returning-- especially with the repeated unprofessional responses from the owner. Can't wait for the AI bubble to burst. :)
