I was long over due for a sound bath and was recommended by a friend to have a session with Nicky. I did the 90 minute private sound healing where I first selected an essential oil to rub in my hands and inhaled to relax. As I laid on a comfy mat, Nicky then did guided meditative breathing for about 15 minutes to further get me into relaxation. She used Tibetan bowls, crystal bowls, and other instruments to work her magic. I felt as if things were getting unblocked internally and released. It also felt like I was getting a realignment. At some point I think I passed out lol. It was so soothing and peaceful. At the end she had me draw 3 cards from different tarot decks. The cards definitely resonated with me. Definitely will see Nicky again soon.

Is there a better way to destress & relax after a long day!? Recently went to the evening "Northern Lights" Sound Healing experience & walked out feeling so much more balanced. Complete with chakra oils & a brief guided meditation to start. She also had mats pillows etc that we could use to get comfortable. A fun solo event, date or girls night (& grab dinner or drinks at one of the many amazing spots in the area afterwards)

I can't recommend Dr. Kristine Williams at Kathryn Taketa-Wong & Associates highly enough. I first…read morereached out at the end of 2024 when I was dealing with complex and overwhelming health challenges that were taking a serious toll on my daily life. I wanted a holistic approach--one that combined lifestyle changes, nutritional support, hormone therapy, and supplements. What I received was so much more than I expected. Dr. Williams took the time to understand the full picture. She listened with care and compassion, giving me space to share what I was experiencing, both physically and emotionally. What began as a search for answers around perimenopausal symptoms soon revealed deeper underlying conditions, including POTS and PCOS--things that had gone undiagnosed for far too long. Dr. Williams created a comprehensive, science-backed plan tailored to my specific needs, based on lab work, ongoing testing, and consistent monitoring. Appointments are thorough, typically lasting 30 minutes to an hour, and every visit feels intentional and collaborative. Dr. Williams always makes sure I understand what's going on in my body and how each part of the treatment plan fits together. She doesn't reject Western medicine--in fact, she incorporates it thoughtfully when it supports overall healing. When I was prescribed anxiety medication, for example, she reviewed it carefully and helped me understand how it could help in my specific case. One of the things I appreciate most about this practice is the team-based approach. You're not just getting one doctor's perspective--you're benefiting from the expertise of the entire group. The providers consult with one another to make sure every aspect of your care is considered, which makes a huge difference. As with most naturopathic care, insurance doesn't typically cover upfront, but this office is extremely transparent about costs and offers a range of payment options. If your insurance allows for reimbursement, they even handle the claims submission for you--something I've found to be a massive help. The office environment is quiet, clean, and calming. The staff is welcoming and responsive, and parking is simple thanks to the attached structure (with validation included). They also use a secure app that makes managing test results, appointments, and communication incredibly easy. This is truly whole-person care--rooted in science, compassion, and a deep respect for the healing process. If you're ready to invest in your well-being and want a provider who will walk with you every step of the way, I cannot recommend Dr. Williams enough. This continues to be life-changing for me.

My scar has flattened some, and my skin is glowing! I used to have poking/needle like pain on my scar also when I touched it but that has completely disappeared for some reason. I also feel the tone of my skin evened out and my skin just looks healthier and more youthful. Although the session was a bit uncomfortable, recovery was so fast and I didn't have any discomfort afterwards. I opted for red light therapy afterwards to further the effects. My face was a little bit red for maybe 14 hrs but I wasn't uncomfortable walking into a store afterwards.. I continued with the herbal serum Dr. Diana gave me, stayed out of the sun for 24 hrs, and kept my skin hydrated with pure ingredients. Her office is so comfortable, easy parking (lot or street), vibe is so relaxing, the most unique and relaxing music playing in background, and the smells are soothing. I am looking forward to another session and can't wait to see how my skin looks after 2!

The Barefoot Ballroom is upstairs, and as the name suggests, this is a shoes off facility. The lobby downstairs is welcoming and has two restrooms, along with another room used for classes. The upstairs Barefoot Ballroom is where I took both of my class types. I was a little curious about the ceiling height for aerial yoga since it is a regular height ceiling rather than a tall studio, but it ended up not being an issue at all for the class. Everything was set up well and we had plenty of room to move. I also love that they offer virtual classes, so you can even take hula classes from home . That is such a fun option if you want to learn something Hawaiian while you are away from the islands. Overall, a welcoming studio with great instructors and a nice variety of classes. I would definitely take another class here if I am back in Honolulu.

The name of the temple means "Broken Ridge Temple.". What appears to be a flaw in the construction the roof was lowered because it exceeded the height limitation of the City & County. The temple is magnificent despite the roof's lower height. The grounds are beautiful and abundant with plants especially the variety of mango trees and coconut trees throughout the property. There are statues such as the Statue of Miruk Boddhisatava. There are lotus buds and lovely lotus flowers in bloom and pots of water lilies too. Water is saved in plastic containers and drums. The most interesting sight is the pots of aged miso and shoyu on the roof top below the temple. Highly recommmend a visit to capture the tranquility and beauty of the temple and Palolo Valley.
