I received this message from Dr. Milani and it proves my valid concerns about her and yet one more reason she should not be allowed to practice medicine: "I am writing in response to your review, as I am concerned by several inaccuracies in your account. This type of evaluation focuses specifically on medical clearance for a planned procedure. At no time was infertility counseling either provided or billed. Your appointment was accommodated promptly, and your evaluation was completed within 24 hours of your request, with all necessary documentation forwarded to your surgical team in a timely manner. Our practice has served patients for over 20 years and maintains affiliations with major medical centers, with a strong commitment to professionalism and high-quality care. While we take patient feedback seriously, it is important that public statements accurately reflect the nature of the services provided. I saw her only once - on September 16, 2020. Not in 2025. And, I saw her for a physical, NOT a preoperative medical examination. How fitting that she would get the wrong date and procedure. I've included in the screen shot the things I was billed for - infertility counseling among them. My first review was taken down by Yelp and I didn't think to write a new one but now I must because Dr Haleh Milani personally called me on the phone yesterday to tell me that she is suing me for defamation. This is a fact and I have proof. So I won't repeat my first review, I'll just stick to the facts here: my experience with her was horrible and I was traumatized for days because of her misdiagnosis. She was rude, dismissive and tried to subject me to unnecessary tests no one asked for as I only came in for a referral as directed by an ER doctor. Yes, I brought in my ER discharge papers but Milani wouldn't look at them. She made me take my clothes off in front of her and examined me without gloves on. Later on she tried to bill me more but I disputed that bill and didn't have to pay. She also scheduled unwanted further visits without my consent that I had to cancel or be charged. I now worry because she has my medical and credit card info. She is harassing me and I'll probably need to hire a lawyer. Oof, if only I'd read these reviews (and unfortunately similar experiences) before visiting Dr. Milani for the first time. I first sought her out for a very specific reason: to get a referral, and only a referral, for an endocrinologist for what seemed like possible thyroid issues. (I had taken 3 different blood tests over 3 months with very inconsistent results.) When I arrived, while I made it abundantly clear my main reason for visiting was a referral for a thyroid specialist, I was immediately asked by the receptionist when my last physical was. I was pressured into getting one during this visit. (It had been about 1.5 years and since they told me my insurance covered one physical per year, I thought, sure why not. Spoiler alert: my insurance did NOT cover physicals with Dr. Milani and I would later have to pay $580 for it.) My bloodwork results with Dr. Milani remained inconsistent (my T3, T4, and TSH were vastly different in every blood test, information she was given and even discussed with me) but instead of simply handing my case over to a specialist (THE REASON I WAS THERE), she had the gall (not to mention the dangerous unprofessionalism) to tell me I have hypothyroidism and prescribe me medication for it. Hilariously, on my way out from that first visit, I still had to hound reception for that referral letter. I finally did go to the endocrinologist and it turned out my inconsistent thyroid readings were not to be ignored. The culprit was the Biotin in the multivitamin I was taking, and cutting Biotin out entirely resulted in normal readings. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my thyroid. Imagine if I'd listened to Dr. Milani's incorrect assumption and wound up regularly ingesting hypothyroid medication! But that's not the end of it: I returned to Dr. Milani's office (fool me twice, shame on me) to get medical clearance for a minor but elective facial procedure. The surgeon provided a letter with specific tests that would need to be done, and I would need a written letter from a doctor saying I was physically healthy enough for anesthesia. I arrived at my appointment, politely brushed off her judgmental remark about getting an elective facial procedure done, updated her on the thyroid situation, and had my blood taken. A week later, I finally got my clearance letter (with a LOT of hassle with the front desk, but we got there in the end). Here's the cherry on top: Weeks later, I get a bill from Quest Diagnostics for the tests I had done for medical clearance, and lo and behold, thyroid testing had STILL been done. I had NOT asked for this and it was not on the list of tests required by my surgeon. This test alone is over $130, but the real kicker is Dr. Milani not only didn't inform me she would run this test, but she also clearly didn't listen to me when I said I had seen a specialist and gotten things under control. Her refusal to listen and retain information, especially with results quite literally in her hands, is reprehensible for someone in her line of work. Finally, like the others here, I too have received confirmations for appointments I never made and certainly would have been charged for had I not gone out of my way to cancel. Everyone else here is right: this office is sketchy, they do what they can to squeeze hundreds more out of your visits, they make claims they know nothing about (eg. what my insurance would cover), and worst of all, Dr. Milani herself will tell you you have a condition you don't have and prescribe you medication for it. Dr. Milani might seem very nice at first but at the end of it all, she is quite dismissive and rude. She says things sweetly, but I didn't feel heard or cared for. And when she was asked questions, she didn't give informed or helpful answers. Her bedside manner to her patients is lacking (if existent). I didn't see her for long but reading these reviews, I am not surprised. And the way she replies to the negative reviews here speaks volumes. It's not as helpful checking her out in other sites where obviously they would showcase the good reviews. Do not go to Dr. Milani. At my first visit, she seemed kind and attentive, but her quality of care quickly declined and her mannerisms became not only rude but very strange. When I came to her with symptoms - no matter what they were - she would tell me it is anxiety and refer me to one of her psychiatrist friends. She would not listen to a single thing I said, and would not even do my blood work since I already had it done a year ago. When I failed a breathing test for asthma, she said to her assistant "it's fine, she is healthy just say she passed". She is quick to prescribe medications without giving an actual helpful diagnosis. I also agreed to one telehealth visit with her, and her office started charging me $25 monthly for some subscription program that I never agreed to. I am extremely frustrated with this practitioner, the feeling of being scammed, and never having any of my concerns addressed. read more

Dr. Milani was my PCP for over two years. Initially, I really liked her, but then I had my annual exam and mentioned I was struggling with weight loss. She asked me how my "new baby" was? I do not have a baby. I'd been seeing her for over a year at this point. I was speechless. She laughed it off. RED FLAG. In May, she suggested I start taking Ozempic to lower my BMI. For some reason, my insurance filled a prescription for a 1mg dose pen. In person, she said the typical starting dose was .25mg but "let's just see how you do"? Rather than pause and discuss, she injected me with the dose and there was no turning back. Hours later, I started throwing up every hour and could not keep anything down. I called her offices at 9am in panic and the desk said I had to come in person, otherwise Dr. Milani couldn't do a televisit until 7pm. After 3 calls, she finally called me back and prescribed anti-nausea meds. I was violently ill for another four days and considered going to the ER. It was incredibly traumatic. I never heard from her again. No follow up. Just a $400 bill for the phone call. read more

Her staff is welcoming and nice and the check-in process is super easy. You can even check-in on your phone before going. I have never waited more than 30 minutes maximum. This doctor's office was terrible, do not recommend. I had an extremely long wait time when I came in, and Dr. Milani was just OK; did not resolve my initial issue. They rescheduled me for an appointment a year later that I didn't know about and then reminded me of this appointment a couple days before when I was out of the country and could not receive messages. They then charged me a fee for missing the appointment, which I had called to reverse and they said they would, but billed me anyways. First of all this one star review is not for dr Milani. If I was reviewing her alone it would be five stars. The one star comes from the rudeness and ignorance of her front line staff. I received a prescription that turned out to be the wrong medication (not a problem, mistakes happen) I know the wrong prescription was sent to the pharmacy because it was recorded on the healow app under 'current medications' When I tried to speak to to the receptionist to get the situation rectified I was loudly spoken over while i was trying to explain the situation and told variously "it was my fault" "It was the pharmacy's fault" "It was the insurance at fault" Every time I tried to speak, the person I was speaking to just talked louder to the point of shouting until I eventually gave up and decided to call back later. Seconds later I received a call. The receptionist had made a point of calling me back to berate me for "not showing respect" by hanging up. I had trouble booking on a third party site so i called the office directly and Amanda was nice enough to accommodate me with a same week appointment. When i arrived i was greeted with a smile from the receptionist in a calm, clean and organized waiting room. I waited no more than 7 minutes before meeting Dr. Milani. Her bedside manner was caring, attentive, and knowledgeable in regards to my situation. I did not feel rushed by her like I do with other doctors. On Medicare, I was billed monthly for more than a year for a 'check-in' phone call that I received only twice, and, then, only after handing them a letter saying I hadn't been called. I was gaslighted, told that I forgot or that I was called. I am an LCSW--an experienced clinician, and I know what calls I got or did not get. There were numerous violations during the time that I saw Dr Milani, but this is the most serious: Dr Milani made clear, unmistakable racist comments to me. She somehow thought that, because I am white and educated, I would agree with her. She claimed there is ample data not being released that proves that African Americans are less intelligent. I'm writing a review to support the other one star reviewers, who are being gaslighted on here as they write about their experience. Roughly the same thing happened to me. Dr. Milani and her entire staff are the worst. And it was their treatment of me during this pandemic that sealed the deal for me. The front desk staff is horrendous and unbelievably unprofessional. And Dr. Milani, herself, is very unprofessional and is a bully. My first impression of her was at my first visit years ago. She told me she voted for Trump because she could never vote for "that woman". Can you imagine? When I had an issue with something not related to my heart, I told her I was seeing a specialist I knew and trusted and she told me that going to that person was ridiculous and I should see her recommendations. But when I called the person she recommended, their office was just as disorganized and unprofessional as hers. Dr. Milano was clueless about my needs. There is a money grab element to her recommendations and a lot of scare tactics(I also had to give a credit card just to get an appointment and then after my first appointment had a bunch of lab and test fees that needed to be paid). I'm now wondering if I needed them. The waiting room is always backed up and you'll need to give yourself a lot of extra time because you won't be seen on time. I'm leaving out detailed specifics about the seriousness of their ineptitude because I see how they respond to people and I don't want to be harassed. Dr. Milani has been sending me bills claiming that I owe money and threatening to send me to collections. They claimed that the insurance said I was supposed to be charged. The office worker was extremely rude and incompetent. She could not explain the charges on the bill except that it was for a routine visit and said it was my responsibility to figure out what THEY were charging for. I simply asked for an explanation of what the charges were for (on a regular PCP visit) that were not covered by a regular visit. How can you add random charges onto a patient's bill that you don't even understand? I had to call my insurance, who told them the correct amount. She told me in order for me to see my results on my online portal, she has to have a televisit and release them first. So she called me and said I have strep. And charged me $70 for the phone call-which is what normal doctors call for free to tell u your results! How else would a patient know what they have after lab tests???!?!!?! When u called her office, the receptionist was rude and hung up on me after I was explaining how nobody ever told me I would be charged for a PHONE CALL of my strep throat results. Dr Milani misdiagnosed me and I have to suffer for a long time because of that. And she kept insisting that I wait to see how I feel on her medication. When I finally saw a surgeon they were surprised that I hadn't been sent to a surgeon immediately since the only way to fix what I had was surgery. Because she let my condition persist I have way more complications and have to deal with multiple surgeries and my quality of life has gone down drastically. It was her responsibility to send me to a specialist right away and not let it fester and grow. I had a fine experience getting a physical at this doctors office. Then, a few days after the appointment, I had two odd experiences: (1) The doctors office sent me the wrong results files via email. They sent over files for another patient, which makes me nervous about who may get access to my information. (2) I got an email saying "Congrats! Your appointment has been confirmed for March 12, 2018". I did not schedule this appointment, and did not ask to have an appointment scheduled for me. I called the office to cancel it, and the receptionist that I spoke with did not seem at all concerned or apologetic that an appointment was scheduled on my behalf without my consent. I have blue cross blue shield which fully covers yearly physicals and I received a bill shortly after my visit because the doctor miss-coded my exam. She explained that it's for cancellation/l ate fees. I asked her a follow-up question which made the front desk girl beyond rude and snappy.
