Quiet pretty rv park. The manager is so welcoming and friendly. Our spot was right next to the bathroom and laundry room. We had water and electric hook ups. We enjoyed our stay!

Just came back from a weekend at Half Moon Bay RV Park. We had a great experience staying there. Was able to pick up a cancellation and stay for my birthday which was awesome (have always wanted to RV camp in HMB and Lori made it happen!). Lori was extremely sweet on the phone & via email and gave info on what was nearby to the campground. The sites are clean and wide. Yes, it's parking lot style camping but they don't have you piled on top of each other. Yes, there are full time people camp/living there but their RVs are new, their areas are decorated super cute and kept neat and orderly. Lisa the owner made sure to come around & let us know there was a brief power outage and came back to inform us it was back up. We had a great time and now I have decided this will be my annual birthday destination. Thanks HMB RV Park, Lori and Lisa for a great experience!

Well....... How do I start? Hmmmm let me just get to the point. It's Thanksgiving Day and I come to camp here for the first time, as I am backing up my camper, I hit the water pipe/post and broke it. Water is going everywhere...... I freak out and go grab Lisa (manager) she as calm as can be starts to handle business. Lisa had to shut everyone's water off and before I know it, there six people helping me out and trying to fix the problem. As I was standing there she told me they have everything covered and go enjoy your camping in Half Moon Bay. I am happy I chose this RV park to spend our annual family Thanksgiving. Thanks Lisa for all your help and giving me a great experience........... I am also sorry about this dumb mistake I made on Thanksgiving.

Wooded area near the campsite. Trail to the ocean.

This place is well maintained and a great place to stay for short or long term. We were here with my mom's fifth wheel but we also stayed outside in the tent. The ground is all gravel or wood chips so it can be a little dusty.... The bathrooms have individual toilet/shower stalls to yourself. They're clean, but you need to bring your own body wash etc. and there is no where in the bathrooms to put your stuff down (which is always helpful). Cameron's inn is adjacent to the park and a great place to grab food and drinks, and to buy some nice British treats. There is also a great trail down to the beach that takes about 15 mins.

    The lovely private bathrooms!

The bathrooms are located close enough and far enough away so that no odorous smells drift into the campsite. The bathrooms are basic, with no flushing and a bit rough. You can access the bathrooms with the same key as the gate. The space is well-kept, level for tent placement, and large enough for big groups. April 18-21, 2025…read more Thought I'd update my review, since it's been almost 8 years! since my prior review. We stayed in one of the sites with water and electricity. I believe there are only 10 or 11 sites with hookups; the rest have no hookups. Even though they don't have hookups, I prefer the sites on the bluff overlooking the ocean, but those are almost impossible to get these days. It's competitive out there when trying to make reservations. We were very happy with our large grassy site with beautiful trees and lots of birds. The sites at this campground are a nice size; it's great to have your own space. Unfortunately, our luck was that there were several big groups of campers here together, and they tended to gather at the campsite near ours. Lots of kids, scooters, bikes, barking dogs, etc. Just families enjoying each other, but it was rather lively. The campground seemed like a different world after these groups departed. Peaceful, even. There is a bit of road noise that you can hear from some of the sites depending on their location; but at night it is quiet enough to hear the owls hoot. There are two trails down to the beach; the one that was closed on my prior visits was open. It's quite a climb, but worth every step. Dog-friendly beaches are always a huge plus in my book. Also a plus is that there are four dump stations ($10). I'll definitely come back--I'll keep trying; someday I might actually get one of those premium sites on the bluff again. Note of caution - if you have a tall rig, some of the trees on the road to the campsites were in need of trimming, so you need to watch carefully. Easy does it. Also, the garbage trucks come through at 6:00 in the morning. Really? At a campground? ....... So if you like to sleep in...forget it.

I will state a few things before this visit. We checked out reviews, videos and called before booking. We also came after hours and the completed checked in by phone to advise of our late check in. We were able to find our spot immediately when we arrived. The Sf rv is older and has basic amenities of a heated pool, laundry on site facility and on staff day management M-Su. There are long term tenants at this location mixed with Thousand Trails members and public bookings. This is a older resort with limited space in each site and it can be a tight squeeze due to the size of someone's rv or trailer. People keep to themselves and it's pretty low key. You can walk right out to the gated fence to see the ocean and smell the sweet breeze. You are right off the freeway HWY 1, next to a grocery store and several restaurants. Management was extremely attentive and always smiled and checked in on us. I forgot her name she worked the weekend of our stay, she gave great recommendations for Pacifica and beaches to take our little one, we took her up on a suggestion of Pacifica State Beach. We will definitely be back to visit this summer because we have a Trails membership and it is close to SF and the beaches. We deducted a star as they do not have the open recreation room as it was closed due to repair with no estimate date to reopen. They removed the child play structure. Parking is extremely limited and hard to find parking so normally will park in you're alloted space if possible.
