Cannot say enough amazing things about this restaurant. The food and drinks were excellent with a great menu selection, great brunch menu, and good happy hour. The service though is the real star. Absolutely love it here!!! I try to take every opportunity I can to go hang. Love the outside lot. So fun and such a cool vibe. Majority of my visits though have been to the restaurant and the food is outstanding. My favorites are many!! But if I had to narrow it down, the jerk wings are amazing, the burger is delicious, the monkfish is always a fave of mine, I could go on and on. And the drinks are even better!! The owners are so nice and you can tell they are dedicated and working hard!! Special shout out to owner Jen who is just the sweetest every time we go. Checked this place out while exploring the neighborhood. Nice ambiance, liked the by-the-ocean feeling. Asked the host if we can sit by the window but he immediately said no because there's only 2 of us. The table was for party of 4 though they can adjust it to 2. That time there weren't a lot of customers. A couple with a baby in a carrier came. Immediately sat by the window, in a table for 4. So yeah, felt like we were not equally treated, Food was okay but only had brunch. Had croffles - croissant made as waffle. I'd rather have croissant or waffle. Drinks were good. Our wait staff was nice. Would I go back? Not sure! I'm okay with average food. I can always go for simple salad or soup or sandwich with a cocktail. But there is no alternative on a good experience. love their happy hour specials - both food & drink. they do it everyday! i stopped by on a sunday & they had a live band outside. happy hour is only inside at the bar and hightops. parking has about 8 spots in a small lot , i personally wouldnt bother here - i parked on the side street. great service. i grabbed the happy hour fish butty which was 1 large piece of fried tilapia on 2 hawaiin buns. for $6 this was great. fries were very good too! my drinks were a bit on the weak side and just a whiskey ginger, but for the price of $6 for a beach spot, ill take the deal. looking forward to coming back, this place has great views, good deals, and has a lot of fun activities going on every day. read more

I have never gone out to eat in Keansburg but Half Moon opening necessitated that I make my way up there. Probably a mistake to come on a holiday weekend in the summer, so we had to park a ten minute walk away, but it wasn't bad. There was ample seating so we were able to sit out on their patio/deck. Cell service sucks there. The cocktails are a bit sweet and they are a little light handed with the liquor. But the staff was very kind and the food was great! We got the chicken sandwich which came with breaded fries, which I don't usually like but these were so light and fresh, I enjoyed them. The chicken came with the coleslaw inside of the sandwich, which added a nicer creamy crunch to the bite. We also got the mushroom bolognese with ricotta and zoodles. Im glad they had the option of zoodles, as I wasn't that hungry and wanted something light. I also wasn't missing any meat in the sauce, as the mushrooms made up for it! Classy on the inside, it's also more casual at the parking downstairs, where you can grab drinks and boardwalk type food. And okay some pool or ping pong and listen to live magic! read more

My husband went for our date night during the soft opening. You can tell they are new and getting everything figured out, but regardless the food was good and consistent. My favorite for sure was the lobster arancini and the mussels. My husband did enjoy his fish and chips but definitely the other two are highlights. French onion soup way too salty. While lobster bisque should primarily taste like buttered lobster, it lacked dimension. The crab cake appetizer was tasty however all three of our entrées lacked flavor. We had the lobster mac n cheese, flounder and a steak strawberry and goat cheese salad. We ended up at Half Moon while vacationing for a friend's bachelorette in Keansburg. The restaurant was extremely accommodating and service was excellent and fast! We loved the seaside vibe of the restaurant and it's menu. Several members of our party got drinks while others opted for mocktails and every beverage was phenomenal. I got a Rose Dawson and loved it. Our meals consisted of several different apps and entrees and not one person had a complaint. Portions were perfect, food was delicious and the menu was creative and interesting but comfortable enough for every kind of taste pallet to find something. Macaroni and cheese was creamy and had big portions of lobster in it. Shrimp had great flavor. Mahi tacos were a crowd favorite. NY strip steak was cooked to perfection and members of the party loved the coconut rice. Tuna nachos had great reviews. Pricing was fair, so no complaints at all. read more

I can't speak for the food, but this place always has events going on that make it seem so lively! They're menu is pretty decent I'd say, and they help brighter the town up! It's right next to the beach too which makes for nice scenery. And they even occasionally have a vendor thing going on. We were looking for a place to have our daughters engagement celebration and the moment we walked in and spoke with Diana, we were sold on half moon. We sampled several dishes for lunch and everything we ordered was simply delicious! In fact everything on their menu is made from scratch using locally sourced farm ingredients. They even source several of their beers from breweries in the area. We were so impressed by the owners, the service, the chef and the wait staff who were all wonderful! We've been dying to get over to Half Moon for months and finally made it in tonight for a belated Father's Day dinner. We started with happy hour at the bar then moved over to a table for the four of us. Everything was excellent. We started with the Brussel sprouts, spinach dip and olives for appetizers. Perfect sizes for sharing and all delicious. For dinner we ordered the fish and chips, flank steak, chipotle chicken sandwich and the melt sandwich between the 4 of us. Discovered that this place was dog friendly and decided to stop by for Happy Hour. What a lovely local gem. A beautiful dining room and elevated outdoor deck. We sat outside and were offered a hearing lamp. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Dip and Warm Olives. Both were incredible. We then ordered the Melt Sandwich and Tomato Bisque special. The Melt was delightful, though I wish I ordered it with the beef patty and the tomato bisque was excellent, the grilled cheese bites in the middle totally make it. The drinks we ordered were exceptional, the F.I.G. Is the ultimate Fall drink. Overall, a great place for drinks, good for doggos and delicious nom noms. Wish I had found it in the summer. read more

My wife and I just visited while on a trip to Sandy Hook and had a great dinner and enjoyed the sunset as we dined. The food was excellent, the cocktails were delicious and creative (and not overly sweet - yay!), and the service was friendly, helpful, and efficient without being pushy. We enjoyed warm olives with lemon and rosemary, their autumn salad, sautéed clams, carnitas tacos, and the lemon bar and some espressos for dessert. All were flavorful and excellently prepared and they were happy to accommodate our allergies. We would definitely go back the next time we are in the area. read more

The food is simply amazing and will leave you wishing you had enough room for seconds, thirds, etc. The staff is so professional and more importantly eager to serve and move with a purpose. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners and I can tell that they care about their customers and overall service. I strongly urge and suggest making reservations. The atmosphere is sooooo comfortable especially with the restaurant having a proximity of being five seconds away from the beach. I wish they were open 24/7 lol...
