I was in Vegas for a wedding on Saturday, July 6, 2019. In early July 2019, we were only 3 dates in our relationship all in late June. So, it was me without her, and I stayed with my parents at Treasure Island. From the wedding, rehearsal dinner, etc, I got to know various people and saw people I hadn't seen in a long time. One of the couples (one I met a couple of times long time ago) & her husband (who I had never met), we built some good rapport. He said he had extra ticket to Aerosmith backstage pass here at Dolby Live, which I enthusiastically agreed. I think he sent the pass to me electronically. The next day Sunday, July 7 was the night of the Aerosmith concert. My parents dropped me off. I went in the designated entrance. Staff was cordial, but we are having a hard time accessing the tickets or the scan wasn't working. It was very strange. I explained to the staff about these being backstage passes that my friend sent me. It was a bit of back & forth, but ultimately, they said go that way to stand in line to get in. Wow, this was a magnificent large modern theater. Seeing Aerosmith on the side stage was incredible! Conclusions: So, we don't know for sure if those "friends" (who I barely knew) actually gave me real tickets or sent me some fake thing that wasn't supposed to work to play a trick on me. I will say when I arrive (late because of the hecticness with the tickets) I saw them saying thanks for the ticket, so cool! His face seemed to turn a paler shade of white, and he seemed stunned I was there like it was a trick. So, I kind of think the staff felt sorry for me with this ticket not working giving me the benefit of the doubt. In summary considering the staff was nice & helped me out, I got to give Dolby Live a 5-star! To be fair, I still would've given them 5, but even more-so in this case. In summary, I honestly believe the tickets were fakes, and he had no actual extra ticket and wanted to play a cruel joke on me. If I hadn't gotten in as they had intended, I would've been very depressed that not walking around MGM Park casino by myself until the concert was over. I'm not sure I would've mustered up telling my parents what happened and pretended seeing Aerosmith was cool. After that trip, I didn't see those people again, I live in Maryland, and they live in Arizona.

I can tell you two things, It wasn't funny, at all, but I can also tell you, Comedy ain't easy. I've done it, and even though I absolutely killed it at multiple open mics, I quickly learned, unless I wanted to keep telling the same jokes, Comedy would have to be some I attempted maybe once a month instead of once a week. So for that reason, I am going to give these guys a little slack. We should have known better, because in the history of attending comedy shows, this was the first show I attended where the comedians name did not appear on the tickets, at the venue or on the website. We probably should have stayed with our original plan to go to Jimmy Kimmel's, but we decided to support the little guy and quickly understood why so few showed up. I didn't laugh once and can tell you all four comedians decided to engage me. I responded to two of them and those without a doubt were the biggest laughs of the evening, so despite their claim that no customer would be the funniest person in the house they flunked around and found out. Thought I might find a new comedian to follow, but I doubt I'll be seeing any of these guy online or on TV in the future.

The theater is not very big and they were at about 25% capacity, so everyone had pretty good seats. On the site, the $20 tickets were shown as the back quarter of the theater, but when we were seated, we were in the front third. Burton's show is almost like a variety show. It is fast paced and he mixes comedy with disappearing acts, escape artistry, mentalism, and close-up magic. He performs most of the show by himself, but with a few assistants for the stunt work. Pictures are allowed. Video and flash photography are not. Quite a few of his acts have a very familiar feel to them and we knew how at least half of them worked. That being said, it's a pretty good value for the money and we were definitely entertained.

We worked with a team of others and had a fun time going from site to site (I won't give much detail because I don't want to ruin the fun!) to complete the mystery of the Mastermind and his grand getaway! The actors were all very funny and always remained in character to keep us on our toes - we were close to following strangers at one point because we were suspicious of everyone and everything! Everything is light-hearted and all in good fun! We had drinks included and some good snacks to boot... My only hope was that for out of towners, especially (since we're locals) where would be more iconic Vegas scenes thrown in either from movies or more well-known places around the strip to keep us outside of the mall area and unknown places we were at. I would've loved this to stay on Fremont to learn more about that area since we were in a quieter part of the actual strip.

My daughter, my friend, and I were literally rolling with laughter at the host , he had us laughing so hard! I especially loved the magician and the performer who put masks on audience members , such a hilarious moment. The theater is small and cozy, so the seats are close to the stage. Sometimes the stage felt a bit tight for some of the taller stunts, but being so close also made it more exciting. The hosts were full of energy and really got the crowd involved. Just a heads up the show uses strobes and flashes, and there's a strict no camera policy, which actually helps you just enjoy the moment. Some seats are just okay in comfort, but overall it was a fun, relaxed experience. I'd go again for sure, it's a light, high energy show that's family , friendly and a different kind of Vegas night.
