I was so excited to stop by the Strat Observation Deck. I was here in November 2025 for a wedding and glad we decided to return today to enjoy the beautiful views of the Valley. I'll start with the reason behind my lower score as the observation deck would have received 5 stars. We knew about the observation deck due to attending a wedding that we were part of a few months ago. We hung out on the top floor 109 and enjoyed the outdoors. Today, we decided to visit The Strat and hangout a little. There is a charge to go here so look up the prices. We stopped by to get our players card and asked about the free entrance for locals to the observation deck. My BF asked if we needed just our ID or do they have a locals players card. She said yes there's a locals players card and she will give 2 to you. Strange so I kept my mouth shut. She gave us our players card and said that was all. I'm so confused. But okay. Hoping this will help others. We went up the escalator and we tried to enter. We asked the person working who asked us for our tickets. Yikes? Tickets? Okay, we didn't have any. So the moral of the story here is what you need to do. For you locals-Go to the Box Office, show your Nevada ID and players card. The worker said it would $15.95 each and we're like no we are locals and we were told it should be free during the week. Well, the worker then says, if you don't tell us, we won't offer it to you. So since you mentioned it, it will be free. Yikes! Okay, so make sure you tell them you heard the entrance fee is free to locals with ID and players card during the week Monday - Thursday. Overall, great spot to hangout. The views are amazing and it's very spacious. I will definitely return again. read more

You can't get higher unless you're planning on jumping on a helicopter or plane. This is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the states. You can come up just to see the view or eat, drink, hangout, or get on a thrill ride. We were here because we had dinner with some friends and if you dine up there you don't have to pay an additional entrance fee. If you aren't dining the fee ranges from $25 - $35. Local discounts are occasionally available as well. Always check online or call the hotel directly if you're looking for a discount. It's fun for sure and it can sway at times when the wind picks up. The elevator ride up is very fast and we always have a good time up there. read more

After eating at the Top of the World restaurant on a Saturday evening with my family, the team at the restaurant had mentioned that we had free access due to our dining reservation to the indoor and outdoor Observation deck. There were dedicated elevators inside the restaurant that went up to the Observation deck. The pair of observation decks are located in levels 108 and 109. Level 108 is the indoor observation deck and the level 109 is the outdoor observation deck. My daughter had wanted to go to the outdoor observation deck first. We waited about 10 minutes for the elevator and then went up to level 109. The SkyPod is the tallest free standing observation tower in the United States! Both the indoor and outdoor vantage points offer 360 degree views of Las Vegas! You'll see the cityscape, the surrounding desert mountains, and the beautiful Las Vegas city! The indoor deck features the floor to ceiling glass windows and climate controlled comfort which is nice! The outside deck was cold when we went out! I was also really nervous about going to the edge. My daughter and husband used the viewing observations to look at some of the city features up close! I couldn't walk too far from the building walls! I did see the Big Shot operating and the SkyJump while we were at the restaurant and outside observation deck. The Big Shot hurls riders 160 feet upward at a high speed! You could hear the people screaming while at the outside observation deck! I had trouble looking up since I was a little scared from the heights. The SkyJump has a controlled freefall descent from more than 800 feet up at the Stratosphere. It was great to experience once and to see the beautiful Las Vegas in the evening from the top of the Stratsphere. My daughter and husband enjoyed it. I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it again! Funny though, while we were driving to the Stratosphere for the Top of the World reservation earlier, and saw the Big Shot in the distance, I was thinking that I could totally do that ride since it seemed similar to the Guardians of the Galaxy at Disney's California Adventure. Been up here many times and it is a great thing to experience in Las Vegas. The do have restrooms, shops, bars, etc. on the observation deck. You can stay inside or go outside, and even watch people jump off at the SkyJump. The staff here on the observation deck are friendly and th3 elevator attendants are especially friendly. It's been over a decade since I have been up here. In fact longer. When I came here before, the children were still pulling at my dress hanging on. As you gaze out into the skyline of Las Vegas our city has grown up in the last decade. The newest addition of technology as been added as you can see the glow of the sphere. All those colors dance in the background of the image of our universe. We are standing here startling images and views flash and pass through our mind. Our hearts race. Being this high up. Then over the top of you is the scariest thing ever. A roller coaster that makes your heart come crashing out and thump till your breath leaves your chest. Then it does it over and over again. All the screams can be had here. Are you brave enough to take the challenge. Let life pass you by. Walk on the edge, or not! So, do your dare come up the elevator. To compare in heights around the world the strat tower is an epic 1,149 feet high. Epic right! It's taller than the Eiffel Tower that's only 1,063 feet . The elevator ride is so fast that in a blink you're here at the top. Depending on the elevator that you take is the view you get off. There is a bar and snack station shop up here and gift shop. The redo of the prior hotel cannot be found the new brilliant blues dance all along the walls. The art murals are a nice addition. As a local, the Strat does love us! We are staying here tonight! We went and picked up a players card, even if you don't gamble. You get free admission to the observatory deck. Residency pays off here at the Strat! You will have to show your players card and drivers license together when you go through the entrance to the elevator. Have them ready! Worlds will always collide and make us think about life and what has come of it . Come and continually remind yourself that this concept is good for the soul . Look out into the universe and see how truly small you are. Wonder how and why? So many have fallen, they will continue but today is not that time. It's time to celebrate and remember always. More of a 3.5* review truthfully...the views are amazing and you can stay up top as long as you wish...the cost is definitely on the overpriced side at $37...if you aren't planning on spending extra $$ to ride the rides then you can easily plan on spending an hour or two on the top...there is a bar and small cafe on the observation deck to purchase food and drinks as well as a gift shop...more on the pricey side as you would expect...the exterior food options weren't even open on a Saturday at like 1 pm, pizza place and noodle place, closed for whatever reason...the rides weren't even open before noon as well...somewhat disappointed truthfully...a lot of potential but seems like an after thought almost...probably better off riding the observation wheel at the Linq truthfully...if willing to spend the $$$ for a short period of time then it's worth it, otherwise it's a pass.... read more

Spectacular views of the Vegas Strip and probably better at night! It's interesting to note how the Strat is taller than the Macau Tower and Tokyo Tower as it really didn't seem that tall but the elevator said floor 108 so I believe it haha. I like how the elevator worker gives you stats of the elevator going 3 floors in 1 second. The observation from inside is super nice and can hold events and parties. There's a bar, coffee shop, and food inside if you need a snack. Once you go up some stairs to get outside to the deck you'll have an unobstructed view of the strip. The sphere is honestly the best thing right now with all of the different designs it displays. Don't try to jump though, there's signs and cameras everywhere, be smart. If there's one thing to improve on would be the price. As a local, $35 to go up and see the views with the family is expensive. $10 less would probably get more ticket purchases and also a military discount should be offered which we didn't get. read more

My best friend & her husband were in town visiting me & had wanted to go and check out the Stratosphere to see what was up on top levels. I had inquired on the cost of tickets @ the ticket counter and asked about a local's/military discount. I was quoted $16 for either one and found out that a non-discounted price was $27. We agreed that wasn't a bad discounted price so we bought tickets & headed up. You do have to walk thru a metal detector and you can't bring any food or drinks upstairs. Then you wait for an elevator to take you up. The elevator wait wasn't long as it wasn't crowded when we went on a late Tuesday afternoon. We were told the bar 108 up there was having happy hour (HH) with BOGO drink special. As soon as we got off onto the floor where the 108 Bar was their gift shop caught my attention. Not that I needed to buy anything but I always like to take a look around. I did buy a cute snow globe of the top of the Strat with the rides on it. Figured it would be nice whenever I would look @ this it would remind me of their visit & our trip to the top of the Strat. Price was about $17. I also picked up a cute cat face sticker. There were several things with Las Vegas & Stratosphere logo on them. There is also a small cafe outside of the store called 108 Eats. Seemed to be pastries & coffee drinks but I didn't buy anything from here. Then I had to take in the gorgeous, breathtaking views. Man, it never gets old & you can just sit there for hours enjoying it. We did stop in the 108 Bar to grab some drinks & after walking around close the bar area we grabbed a high top table. We weren't far from where you can jump off the building & watched as some people bungee jumped off, down to the bottom level of outside the hotel. That was scary, I could never do that. These people made it look so easy that's for sure. Living in Vegas it was fun to try to figure out where I lived from the strip & what some buildings were that were far away. Just seeing all the hotels on the strip, the hotel signs that are lit up & all the traffic down below. They also had some screens inside with areas that are further away & you're able to get a closer look on these. We ended up going to the level just below the rides on top of the Strat when it was dark out. Yeap, we stayed there that long.....lol The city view all lit up is gorgeous. They have those binocular things on a pole that you can look thru. We didn't do this so I'm not sure if you had to put some change in there or if they were free. It wasn't too cold up there. My bestie & her husband didn't want to go up to the top or ride any of the rides. My friend said she would do that ride that you sit in & it dips you downward then back up but the sign on the level we checked in on said it was closed. I was like "are you crazy? Do you even know what that ride is all about?!?!?" LOL I've been on the on that shoots you up & then drops you down a few times. I've done that ride 3 times total & the last time I got on it when another friend was in town I was like "OMG what the heck was I thinking?" I was so scared & said I would never do that one again.....lol Anyways I'm thinking about trying to get a group of people to go back up here for the view & the BOGO drinks. After dining at a restaurant in the casino, we were given certificates for a discount on the SkyPod and Observation deck. I'm a sucker for a deal, so I talked my wife (who's afraid of heights) to go up to the top with me. We didn't have a lot of time, since we had a show to see a little bit later, but we had enough time to wander around and enjoy the views. The elevator ride up was quick, then we found ourselves at the top-looking out the glass windows at the city below. There are views all the way around, so you can see all sides of the city. There's a bar upstairs too, so you can grab a cocktail and a seat and enjoy the view. There are rides and a restaurant up there, but we only had time and interest in a quick glimpse, so we didn't check those out. Next time, maybe. For the discounted $10, it was worth the visit. I'm not sure I'd pay full price just to ride to the top, however. read more

I have stayed here on a couple occasions. I was here when they first opened in the 90's and just recently for the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon. The STRAT Hotel & Casino & Tower was formerly called the Stratosphere before they rebranded. It is located on the north end of the strip and is known for its 1,149 ft observation tower (tallest in the U.S.). The views of the Las Vegas Strip are pretty amazing from the top. They have a skypod, bungee jumping and a free fall ride on the top of the tower if you are into thrill rides. There is also a revolving restaurant, lounge area and an outdoor observation deck. The rates here at the STRAT are pretty affordable compared to other hotels. I had nice stay here on my last visit. They had just recently completed a $100 million renovation project a couple years ago. There are a number of restaurants and lounges that you can dine or grab a drink at throughout the STRAT. Admission to the observation deck is a separate price if you want to visit the top. The STRAT offers discounts for their attractions if you stay here. read more

After having dinner at the Top of the World restaurant, we decided to come up here and maybe have some nightcap. Going up the lift is fast but not smooth. The lift needs some work done. The lift operator suggested we stayed indoors as the weather isn't favorable that night. It is windy. There are relaxing seats around. We chose one that isn't occupied and enjoyed the amazing view. We've been wanting to go to the SkyPod for awhile now, but always made excuses why we shouldn't. Well, Black Friday was finally the day. It was a last minute decision, and boy I'm sure glad we went. My only regret was that we didn't visit sooner. We purchased tickets from the box office in the casino, then made our way upstairs. Once upstairs, we waited in a short line and were ushered to take a quick souvenir photo. Then we were told to go up one of the escalators and wait by one of the elevators. The procedure reminded me of a past visit to the Space Needle in Seattle, but lucky for us the line wasn't nearly as long. I think we waited a total of 15 minutes to take the elevator to the SkyPod. I'm not sure if it was slow because it was Black Friday, but I could imagine how busy and packed it can get, especially during the peak season. The elevator ride didn't last long, and the doors opened to a beautiful decorated Holiday tree. The lights inside were very dim, and there was music playing, it was very cozy. They had comfortable couches, tables and chairs scattered around so you can sit, relax, and take in the amazing views. There are a couple of Kiosks where you can see the views during the day and it also points out the major landmarks in the Valley. They also have a souvenir store, a bar, and a cafe where you can buy a variety of drinks and snacks if you get hungry. We had some hot coco and it really hit the spot. When you're done relaxing, you can take the stairs or elevator to the upper level. Here you're able to walk outside, get some fresh air, and literally find yourself eye-level with flying helicopters, it's pretty amazing when you think about how high you are at this point. If you're a thrill seeker, you'll love the rides they have at the top. Overall, my family and I really enjoyed the SkyPod, I plan on coming back again soon to see the view in the daylight. Oh, one more thing for the Locals, make sure to ask for a discount and show your Nevada ID. We were able to get almost 50% off of each ticket for being locals. That savings really adds up. Overall, the staff was friendly, the facilities were clean, and the experience was one of a kind. I highly recommend you see it for yourself. read more

A excellent place to look over the Las Vegas Valley. We went at Sunset and it was absolutely beautiful you get to see the Strip when it's still bright outside and then you get to see all the lights across the Valley. Prefect to take your family or even for a date. Parking is free at the Strat hotel/Casino if you have a valid Las Vegas ID. There is an outside deck that is very windy, bring a light sweater, and a hair tie just incase because us girls hair was flying every where. There is a snack/sandwich/dessert cafe and a Full Bar. There is also gift stores with sweaters, cups ect. Highly recommend and if you're a resident purchase the Pogo Pass you get to visit one time on the pass!!! Great deal! read more

My son and I went here after we used our Go City pass to access the sky pod. I think the lounge is on 107 but the cups say 108 either way it's high up there and great views of the city and strip. We arrived around 4pm because we were told by a tour guide that they offer 20% the rides between 3p-5p during the week for the rides and sky jump. It was too windy so most the rides were closed but the bar was open for happy hour 2 for 1 from 3p-7p. We enjoyed drinks with views of the city and strip for sunset and night. Comfortable couches and chairs face the views with a chill atmosphere with light music. Reasonable snack bar with sandwiches on the same level along with the restrooms. Excellent bar service. I would definitely make this a stop during happy hour if you already have a ticket to the sky pod. read more

Even though you are a hotel guest, they still charge you $10 to go up to the 108th floor to have a drink that you pay $14-$18 and they serve it to you in a plastic cup! They don't even have a cocktail waitress that takes your order, you have to walk up the bar and order your drink. What kind of "World Class Service" is this? read more

In Las Vegas at the Convention Center for work for a day, my hubs decided to catch a deal at the Strat. Normally when we were in Vegas for a mini vacay we would book a place more on the strip for few days , but this was cool for one night. One thing for sure is, you can't miss seeing it! They offer some renovated hotel rooms, refreshed casino floor, nice dining options, the best adult entertainment show, and an exhilarating SkyPod features the internationally acclaimed Top of the World restaurant, famous for its award-winning cuisine and 360 degree revolving dining room; winning 2020 Traveler's Choice Our time at the hotel was cool. Our room was decent and clean , bed was comfy for relax time. We did go downstairs and mingled for a little while which was cool, but also trying to stay clear from the clouds of nicotine smoke. We didn't have time to do the Sky Pod and Observation Deck, since we needed to leave early to drive to Cali. Four sure next when in the area we certainly will partake in those features. I did noticed this place have definitely changed for the better since 10 years ago, definitely a more modern vibe. I must say, it was quite busy with people checking in around mid September weekend of the 16th, so it seems this hotel/casino is a good option. I didn't see many kids, so it may not be " that kid friendly" The location is a little sketchy with some " stragglers" ...But that is mainly at night. There's a lot of entertainment the strip offers, but they don't compare to Strats if you're a daredevil who likes jumping off the side of the building attached to a large elastic cord. Yes, risky along with the risky business of gambling. However, it's all how you play your cards. I give this one 3.5 only because there's more to experience. read more

Yuck. Some people have mentioned the Strat has been remodeled and has a new vibe. Parts, yes. But the Select Tower, where I was lucky enough to stay since I didn't want to pay the upgrade fee, is still the old Stratosphere. Stale cigarette smoke, yellowed walls and furnishings, outdated bathroom. Housekeeping staff is awful. Both mornings of my stay I was woken up by their yelling and laughing in the hallway. I'd be laughing too if I was paid for the job but never once had to vacuum or clean the hallways. On my checkout day, I paid for a late checkout. I was interrupted no less than 6 times. "Are you sure you have a late checkout?" Yes, quite sure. Annoying, impolite, and didn't actually do their job. Will happily pay more to never stay here again. I have written letters to management with no response, so I am making reviews on every platform so everyone can beware. Was in town 2 years in a row at a convention and we had the worse experience we ever had at a hotel in Las Vegas. I am in hospitality so i realize things don't always go perfect, but the STRAT has many issues that they dont care about obviously. I will go into much more details in my next correspondence but let me outline what went wrong. 1) Took over an hour to get checked in - only a small number of check in stations were open 2) The elevators broke down in our tower and had to wait 20 minutes just to get on the elevator. 3) I reserved a room and then online kept on upgrading more and more. Finally i got to check in and they said do you want to upgrade further and i said yes, like to have one of the nicest rooms you have. He said it was and i would be very happy. The room was the worse room I have ever stayed in. Reaked of smoke. 4) Called and left messages for manager and nobody called back. Then came down to talk to someone and they said i had to get back in the same line that took an hour just to talk to manager. UNBELIEVABLE. Afer waiting in line they said the manager was not available and would call and never did. This was the most disappointing experience ever. I own restaurants and bars and never would I ever even imagine the kind of bad service we received not including the room that i kept on upgrading too. The world should know never stay at this place, you will regret it. read more

After buying our tickets and waiting in line to go to the top. Security stopped us and would not let us go further because we had some pastries with us from the hello Kitty café we purchased earlier that day. We asked them if we could leave them at the bottom and pick them up afterwards and they said no. There was no signage posted saying anything about not being able to bring outside food to the top, not to mention, we weren't even going to eat them up there. They were my daughters that she wanted for tomorrow regardless of that we had our two young children with us who where looking forward to seeing the view. Also we had walked to the hotel and everyone was tired and we were planning to have dinner at the top!! it's just ridiculous to me Not to allow us to go up because we had a couple of pastries with us. Too many annoying time share people all over this casino. If you see the employees with black suits making eye contact with you and just dying to ask you a million questions, all you gotta do is give them a thumbs up and they will leave you alone. How do I know? After a million times of them constantly stopping me throughout this place , I finally told the last one that they keep bugging me with the same shit and he told me what to do the next time they try to stop me. Lol. So just remember to give them a thumbs up. You're welcome :) The stratosphere itself is a decent casino. Plenty of places to eat and drink at. And of course. A bunch of shops to spend your money. Free self parking and valet available. My fave part of this place is the skypod. I'm unsure of the cost to go up there because I had free tickets. I just know that it does cost money and is NOT FREE. There is an outdoor observation area (109th floor) and an indoor one (108th floor) Personally I enjoyed the indoor one the most because you have a better view of all of Las Vegas. There is seating all around as well as a bar and gift shop too. On this floor is also where the sky jump is located for all you brave individuals. Be sure to visit at night of course because this is when you can see the best views of all the pretty lights. They are open til 1am I believe. Only reason I would visit this place again would be for the skypod or if I was given more comps. Other than that. It is not a casino I care for. read more

We got stuck in 5 hour drive due to construction only to stand in line for 2 hours for our reservation. Then to come to a room that wasn't cleaned the sink was clogged the trash hadn't been taken out from the previous customer there was wet towels left in the bathroom. I visited the SkyPod way back in 2009 and went on the rides. This time, I skipped doing so but I still enjoyed the views. The inside observation deck seemed much nicer than I remember, now with a bar, cafe, and comfortable seating. Additionally, since I was a guest at the hotel, I was able to purchase a weekday pass for $7.00 after taxes, which allowed me to visit during the day and at night. If you're visiting Vegas for the first time, I think it's worth a visit. read more

This review is for the Skypod. What a spectacular 360 view of Las Vegas with rides for the thrill seekers. A great place to just chill, relax, take selfie's or whatever and or have a romantic date. I suggest making a reservation to lock in your spot. There's a checkpoint before you ride the elevator, so leave your unnecessary items at home. A host will be waiting for you at the elevator to take you up. It's definitely the place to be for some sky high views and intense rides. The ONLY (decent) hotel benefit seems is it's right next to IHOP (across the street) for cheap eats, and giving its hotel clients (a room CLIENT, not by using the casino) FREE access for the Stratosphere Tower that offers a GREAT view of the City and surrounding area. One visit per day + each registered hotel guest can bring a single non-registered guest. No advance ticket required BUT to get to elevator you need to pass thru metal-detector so either pocket everything inside a baggie OR leave in room. At the spot where people turn in their pre-paid ticket, you give them instead your room key-card and that is swiped, and you pass through!! How simple!! Then you have to quickly get through the crowd after passing thru security to the elevator which is actually quite FAST in its travel UP/DOWN, but I give only 3 stars as ONLY ten people can fit inside. Coming down it can be a long wait with impatient mean people.... Vegas residents get a discount and pay only $12 per person!! Best time: sunset but many tourists also means slow return to sea level as each elevator ONLY carries TEN so may be long wait up/down! Hand-holding your camera at very slow speeds necessary for night captures but not impossible. PHOTOGRAPHICALLY SPEAKING: No tripods allowed in the tower. Don't use any on-camera flash or external flash for your pixs looking thru the windows as that flash is only good for so many feet. You'll see others using flash, and recommended for your people pixs but for the scenic shots, just forget it (trust me). You can take long shots (getting close) or wide views (getting the whole area inside of just one closeup) by using a higher ISO. In some areas there are tables and ledges you can use to brace yourself but caution as there are rides above your head, and you'll find when those are active, the tower shakes. I found myself sitting on the ground and getting as close to the windows that way, and some of the pixs are displayed here. There are signs up everywhere stating DO NOT LEAN AGAINST THE WINDOWS, and I can understand why - I won't be the one who tests window integrity by leaning against it and some guy behind me grabbing my camera as I fall out and to the street below... HA!!! If you DO want to get to the tower for the sunset, better to start the process (security and waiting for the elevator) at least an hour before time of sunset as there may be lots of people in line already. I'd rather be up there already waiting for the set than downstairs still waiting while the sun sets ~ incidentally, you will NOT see the actual sunset but the colors due to the elevation and the surrounding mountains. At the time of my stay (first 3 days of June), the sun disappeared behind the mountains about 20mins before sunset. It was nice when it slid behind the mountains and better still 20-40 mins later. enjoy! read more

The Skypod is a wholly disappointing waste of money. First, the only way for locals to get the 1/2 price ticket is at the Box Office, and they charge a $4 convenience fee, so it's $14 instead of $20. The view is great for about 5 minutes, then it's time to go back down. The decor is old and thoughtless. If it's even slightly windy on the ground it will be much windier up high so you won't be comfortable on the outside deck. I'd hoped there might be a restaurant where I could have lunch with a view, but they just have a snack bar selling junk at strip prices. read more

This was one of several freebies from a timeshare. The Paris tower was closed and we looked down and saw this as an option. So glad we picked it. Such wonderful views of the city including the mountains in the background. The video screen showing facts about the town was helpful. The staff were friendly for the most part at the top and very kind at the box office. Multiple elevators were closed off when we got there so it took us a minute to figure where we were going. The gentleman on the elevator was great going up. The lobby of the hotel was beautiful as was the exterior. This looks like a nice place to stay, but we were here for a presentation ourselves at the Trump. If you are a thrill seeker, I can't think of better rides than the three up top. I would've had to clean up afterwards hanging over the sides on those things. They looked amazing. It's worth checking out if you are in town. read more
