For it only being my second tattoo, I was honestly pretty nervous. My friends had gone in a few nights ago to get helix piercings and that's when I decided that this would be where I got my next piece. Sometimes these tattoo shops can be pretty intimidating for a college student, but the staff was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome right away, answering any questions we had. I booked an appointment that night and went back two days later to get it. My artist was Sam. He made the process super fast and easy and I seriously didn't feel any pain. For those wondering about pricing, I'm sure it varies, but mine cost $75 (I got "opportunities." in typewriter font on my left arm and it's about 5 in. long), which I think is a pretty good deal. I made a mistake in using this tattoo shop. I was very clear in providing my design. The artist asked if I wanted it exactly as presented, I was explicit in saying yes. He proceeded to draw what he wanted which was a deviation from the design I presented. My tattoo is out of proportion and I hate it. I am remiss for not having spoken up. I should have insisted my design be transferred instead of allowing the freehand drawing. I have never left a tattoo shop (12 separate tattoos) without my new tattoo being covered, this tattoo shop handed me a paper towel! This is my fault and the purpose of this post is to warn others. I have no idea what it costs to have this removed but it is coming off. read more

Worst place ever, no communication. They told me to come back in 1 hour and 45 minutes. I came back and they're all "we're closing". I don't think they should take down a phone number if they're not gonna call. Horrible people, do not recommend. No they did not try to work with me, and I'd rather go to somewhere professional. Went in for my first professional tattoo here. First guy (I don't remember his name) did great, and the only problem was a small portion the letter "o" in "you" didn't take the ink for whatever reason. I went in tonight to get it fixed, and not only was it super rushed, but they were very rude. He not only messed up my tattoo completely, but now I have to plan a cover up. This tattoo was the last writing from my grandparents, and seeing how shitty it looks hurts my heart. I trusted this shop to do a very sentimental piece for me, but very easily ruined it tonight. I will not be going back, and below i have attached the reference, the first tattoo, and "the fix". I don't remember either of their names, but definitely will not be going back. Not only was I crying, hurt, and pissed off about this, but the way they didn't even care they messed it up entirely. Will be going somewhere else to get it somewhere else, and a planned cover up. I have gotten all my work done here, I watched all my friends and where they got theirs and hands down Hall of Tattoos always has the best artist!!!! Easy for me to pick them. They are not like a typical tattoo place there is no ego here, I always leave feeling so relaxed. I don't even get nervous before going in now!!!! Very unprofessional and extremely rude! Cash treats you like you are an idiot and doesn't care about customer service at all. While he was hesitant to do a finger tattoo on me because they tend to fade I went in knowing all the information he provided. And he said if I waited a month he would do a touch up. I contacted him after a month only to be literally yelled at via text and refusing to do a touch up he said he would gladly do! Regardless I still would have gotten the tattoo but I would have gone to someone else for my touch up and not have waited a month for Cash like he stated I could do. Got a septum piercing here from Derek and later learned that it was put too far back in my nose. He did not tell me he was aiming for an "unusual" spot, nor did he tell me that my nose warranted it. I can't speak to this place's tattoos, but don't go here for piercings. read more

Jesse is an amazing artist, easy to work with, and puts out quality work. He has been tattooing me for 6 years and I have never left unhappy. He is currently working on my second sleeve and my husband's leg sleeve. Brian did both my sister and I's nose piercings and did a great job and was helpful in explaining proper care. He also gave great recommendations for new jewelry and offered to change it for me when the time came. Both fantastic at their jobs and fantastic people. If you perceive the staff here as rude, you are most likely the problem. read more

My friend and I came here to get the same exact piercings: a conch and a flat. He pierced both of the conch piercings with hoops and they both did not heal due to the jewelry. On the flats, he pierced my friend with a straight bar and mine with a curved bar. I had to take my flat out because it was so crooked. There was also no aftercare provided. I would not recommend this place for piercings simply because whoever did ours clearly did not know what he was doing. read more

I got two piercings done here with Brian (conch and helix) and it was super quick and easy! They were both walkins and it took maybe 5 minutes to get taken back, tops. I've also gone a couple different times to switch other piercing jewelry out that I got done at other places. They switched them out with my own jewelry that I brought with no charge and super quickly. The time I went and needed a new septum ball, he put a new one on from the store and sent me how with 2 extras. Didn't cost a penny! Definitely recommend for piercings read more

Ignore all the hateful reviews! I got four piercings (my upper lobes, daith, and helix) and it went super fast! The piercer was also as kind as a teddy bear! He made me feel super comfortable, and at 100 bucks even for all of it including the jewelry, the price can't be beat. read more

i've heard really good reviews of this place but i got my helix pierced and two days after i got it done my ear was so swollen and it was so painful. i had to go to the doctor to get antibiotics because it was so infected only after 4 days and i cleaned it 3 times a day the exact way they told me. I eventually took the jewelry out because i was in so much pain. My doctor told me i need to go to the ER if the swelling doesn't go down in three days after antibiotics. read more

I'm confused with how many people have given this place such high ratings. I went in yesterday to get my helix pierced and was so disappointed. When the man called me to the back for it, I asked him several questions because I always get really nervous before getting a piercing and he ignored all of them except when I asked how long it would take, in response he said "as long as it takes, just lay down." Which did nothing to calm my nerves. After he pierced it, he basically just told me to leave and didn't provide me with any kind of cleaning solution or even how to care for it when I asked him. Definitely won't be going back ...plus he also had some KKK stuff hanging up in the shop which was just really uncomfortable and unprofessional in itself. read more

First of all I absolutely love this shop, I drive 2 hours to have work done here. My artist of choice is Ashley Primm who designed an amazing tree piece for me that I adore. Ashley has also done touchups both on her work and that of someone else. She was able to help revive a tattoo I got when abroad that was looking a bit rough. I don't remember who the piercer was but he pierced my belly button and once I stood up he goes oh that is crooked. As apprehensive as she was she was determined to get it done. Brian and Derek were so good with our princess. They made her feel so at ease. 3 weeks post piercing she lost one and I called today and they offered to replace the set. My mom, sister and I went in for ear piercings. Lobe, tragus, and a cartilage. Ryan pierced all of us and he was excellent. He was extremely concerned that we liked placement, knew after care treatment, walked us through all the steps of what he was doing for each piercing, and everything was extremely clean. I've been to Hall of Tattoos a couple of times for piercings, all of which have been walk-ins. I drove there (which was all the way across town) around 8:30pm to get my lip pierced. I walked up to the door and all of the lights were on, and two people were standing inside talking. When I tried to push on the door to see if they could spare 5 minutes to do a piercing while they were SUPPOSED to be open, all they did was turn the light off and walk away. Never dealing with them again. Every time I've gone in there they've seemed to have an "I don't want to be doing this right now" attitude, which isn't exactly the best in a tattoo shop. I would honestly rather ram a nail through my own lip then give any of them my money. I've never seen a tattoo from there that I thought lived up to my standard of a "decent" tattoo, so I can't personally speak on that. But... You get the picture. Spend the extra coin and go somewhere else. It's cheap for a reason. read more
