I would advise against using this dentist. I was misled by my bill, which cost me over $300.00. She is rude and condescending.

terrible. After having a cavity filled, I complained that my jaw was hurting me. At the time, I was going thru a stressful time in my life. I didn't know that I was grinding my teeth at night. Staff didn't recognize the signs of bruxism (sp?) They said my filling must me sticking up and causing my bite to be off, and ground the filling/tooth down. This caused me to have an abscess, and need a root canal. Also, my daughter needed her tooth repaired after falling on the playground at school, and they had her in tears. Kept injecting her with novacaine, thinking she was in pain...she was crying because the needles frightened her. Just assumed she was in pain, didn't ask.. read more

Dr. Hallman and her staff are amazing. We were on vacation and our daughter fell off of her scooter and cracked both of her front teeth significantly. We were able to call Dr. Hallman and she saw us first thing the next morning, working is into an already busy schedule. The staff made our daughter feel safe and comfortable and she came out with brand new teeth and her beautiful smile back. We can't thank her enough for the care she provided us. I give this practice a one star rating because of a few reasons. In the twenty years that I have had my insurance plan, my family and I have never had to pay a copay/deductible for our semi-annual dental visits/cleanings. I could never understand where the charges were stemming from, until I phoned BC/BS to review our coverage. It turns out that this practice has figured out a way around the minimal fees that BC/BS agrees to pay and is billing the check-up portion of the dental cleaning visits separately from the actual cleaning. Reason number 2, my daughter and I had teeth filled. In the weeks following, the teeth that were filled bothered us; we were unable to chew without pain. I rode mine out until the pain finally subsided. My daughter, however, had to go back to have the tooth looked at. She missed her first appointment out of fear, as she has always had a mouth full of perfect teeth, until we went to Cross Roads, and never had to have anything other than cleanings done. She was charged for this missed appointment. When she finally got the nerve to go back, It turned out that the filling was not done properly and was fixed at no charge. Finally, whenever I questioned the charges, I was met with an attitude by the front desk. I am paying you, I deserve to be talked to with understanding and respect. We decided to search for another dentist due to loss of trust for this practice. I, also, reviewed this business on her Facebook page, only to receive a phone call from her husband with a voicemail stating that the information left is wrong and that I don't understand insurance. I was licensed in the State of Michigan for several years to sell Health and Life Insurance, and I am familiar with billing procedures of insurance. I understand. The phone call left me highly uncomfortable and threatened. The Facebook review tab on her page has since been removed, to hide unfavorable customer reviews and dissatisfaction. Very unprofessional! It, also, should be noted that I replied to the comment left below, however, that hasn't been made public. None of the statements that I have made above are false or misleading. Insurance companies have contracts that physicians agree to, and physicians cannot charge outside of what is agreed upon. This doctor bills separately for the check-up portion of your dental cleaning visit, something that no other dentist I have gone to does. I have never incurred fees for our dental cleanings in the past, and nothing in our insurance plan has changed. read more

Worst dentist ever! I decided to have some old fillings replaced and wound up having to get a root canal, that according to my old dentist (who I went back to despite moving more than 30 miles from) was completely unnecessary. On top of that, I've had to have my current dentist fix each filling she replaced, as all of the edges are sharp and cut into my tongue and cheeks. She has absolutely no bedside manner, unless you consider discussing the newest pair of shoes you purchased with your assistant bedside manner. She doesn't even deserve one star but that's the lowest I can give. read more

Dr. Hallman is very good, especially with patients like me who are fearful of dental work. She is nice and funny and makes every effort to make me feel like I was family or a good friend. She and her staff use modern techniques and tools (like digital X-rays). My dental hygienist (Candy) was wonderful and very friendly. Both she and Dr. Hallman were very prompt. I drive over an hour to see her and I wouldn't go to anyone else. read more
