Can't comment on purchasing experience but service experience been terrible. Slow. Very slow. Recall service, oil change or tire rotation can take more than 3 hours. Whats the point of having an appointment. Don't they know how to organize work orders. Might as well just do basic maintenance yourself instead of wasting time here. Save money and time. I do not recommend this dealership at all!! I tried my best to be nice but I've had issue after issue with them starting literally a WEEK after buying a used car here. First check engine light said electrical issue, dealership says it's a sensor we will order the part it'll take 3 hours to fix and had it fixed on Friday. Monday check engine light came right back on (after them saying it's fixed) stating electrical issue, went back to the dealership they said it's the purger valve (or something along those lines), had it fixed, check engine light came on the third time on the way home from having it fixed, took it back up there the next morning they say our tool is saying it's the same thing so we want to send it somewhere else for them to look into it further. Finally get my vehicle back 3 months later and the air conditioning isn't working. They added Freon and that lasted a little over a year and now they are saying I need a new condenser that the warranty they sold me won't cover. They want $1700 to fix it knowing they sold me a faulty car to begin with. I also took my car in one morning for a tire to be replaced and it sat there the whole day. When it was finally finished I was leaving out at 6 (closing time) and once I was on the interstate I realized they didn't balance my tire. So since they were closed I had to drive an hour home and back again on an unbalanced tire and now that same tire's rim is cracked. No compensation on my gas or discounts for not completing the services that are standard with getting a new tire because the service worker "forgot" at the very end of the day. And I have receipts and screenshots backing up all my claims. They have done nothing to remedy the situation and I'm tired of this. Buyers beware! read more

Complaint submitted to Hyundai USA I am submitting this second formal complaint regarding Hallmark Hyundai in Ridgeland, Mississippi. This complaint builds upon my prior concerns and reflects what I now believe to be a clear and ongoing pattern of misrepresentation, non-performance, and failure to honor written commitments. In August 2025, I brought my 2013 Hyundai to Hallmark Hyundai due to repeated engine stalling. Prior to bringing the vehicle in, I spoke directly with dealership personnel and was assured that a full diagnostic evaluation would be performed to determine the root cause of the stalling issue. These assurances were repeated at the time of drop-off. The dealership retained my vehicle for approximately two weeks. During that period, I received no updates. When I began calling repeatedly to inquire about the status of the vehicle, I was suddenly informed that the vehicle had allegedly been completed several days earlier and that I had been contacted. I have no record of any such call. Notably, two days prior to that claim, one of the dealership's own service agents confirmed to me that the technician had not yet reviewed the vehicle. This inconsistency is deeply troubling. Before retrieving the vehicle, I was informed that the cause of the stalling had been narrowed to a faulty or clogged catalytic converter. However, when I arrived to pick up the vehicle, Service Manager Crystal Ward admitted that no substantive diagnostic testing had been performed. Specifically, she acknowledged that the vacuum system, fuel system, and other related components had not been tested and that only a visual inspection had been conducted. This directly contradicted prior representations that "all necessary systems would be checked during diagnostics." The dealership kept my vehicle for two weeks to conduct what was ultimately described as a visual inspection. Despite this limited review, I was presented with a proposed $4,000 catalytic converter replacement. Subsequently, independent exhaust and repair shops questioned why fundamental diagnostic steps -- including vacuum leak and fuel system checks -- were not performed first, as those are considered standard preliminary evaluations for stalling issues. Additionally, the dealership failed to properly diagnose a recurring gear shift malfunction. The vehicle repeatedly became stuck and required manual gear adjustment multiple times per day. Ms. Ward herself acknowledged observing the gear issue during her test drive. However, the dealership's mechanic later claimed he could not replicate the problem. When I attempted to drive the vehicle off the lot, the malfunction persisted. This sequence of events reflects a troubling pattern: Assurances of comprehensive diagnostics Extended retention of the vehicle Contradictory statements regarding work performed Admission that critical systems were not tested Recommendation of a $4,000 repair without completing basic diagnostic procedures Failure to accurately diagnose a transmission/gear issue observed by management Following this, I filed a complaint with the Mississippi Attorney General's Office. In response to the AG investigator, Robbie Gross of Hallmark Hyundai stated that my diagnostic fee would be refunded and that he would contact me directly. He did not contact me. Over a month later, the AG investigator followed up with me to confirm that I had not heard from him. I then reached out to Mr. Gross, who stated that a refund check would be mailed. Weeks passed with no check. When I requested confirmation or tracking information, none was provided. I was later told the check had been mailed to an incorrect address and would be reissued and mailed on a specified Tuesday. Again, no tracking was provided, and no check was received. I subsequently attempted to contact higher management, including individuals identified to me as Bennie Channing and a Mr. Vanderstip. Multiple messages were left. No one returned my calls. At this point, the issue is no longer limited to diagnostic quality. It reflects: Repeated contradictory statements Failure to perform represented services Failure to honor refund commitments made through the Attorney General's Office Failure of dealership leadership to respond This conduct raises serious concerns about Hallmark Hyundai's operational integrity and compliance with Hyundai's service standards. I am formally requesting: Immediate confirmation of refund issuance, including verifiable proof of mailing and tracking. Review by Hyundai Corporate of this dealership's service practices and customer communication protocols. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will be exploring additional legal and regulatory remedies. I am requesting corporate intervention at this stage due to the dealership's documented pattern of non-response and misrepresentation. read more

Horrible customer service! Don't answer the phone, don't return calls. My bad, they did return one out of 58 calls!! They had my car for 5 months and could not diagnose why the engine had excessive oil consumption!! I went through 3 service technicians during that time!! Don't buy Hyundai and certainly don't waste your time taking your car there!!! read more

Hallmark Hyundai North and Hallmark Hyundai Flowood have damaged 2 Tucson's in the past 1.5 years. The North dealership service department tried to hack into my infotainment system but was stopped when the service advisor abruptly retrieved my vehicle when I told them I wasn't leaving it for 5 days for a defective seat cover replacement. Photo attached of the attempted file log hack. When I took the Tuscon back the next week, the repair turned into a 3 or 4 hour repair with the operational manager's assistance; however they seriously damaged the driver's door, threshold, and facing surrounding the door. Pictures attached. I reached out to the C.O.O. with photos and he said he could get it repaired. My response was I would never step foot in a Hallmark Hyundai dealership ever again for them to cause more damage to the vehicle. I traded the vehicle in less than 48 hours and will never buy a Hyundai again. My best suggestion is to stay far away from these Hyundai dealerships. Many insurance companies won't even insure a Hyundai anymore because of the theft issues with the 2011- 2021 models. The Tuscon that was damaged this week is a 2023 model. The service departments are horrible and have no regard for anything or anybody's property. If a zero star rating was possible that is what they would receive from me and many others. This is a public service announcement. If you are ever in need of a new vehicle, DO NOT EVER PURCHASE FROM HALLMARK HYUNDAI. We had a small chip in the clear coat on the bumper of our 2022 Tucson and took it to get fixed. To make a VERY long story short...4 months and 7 trips to the dealership later, we still don't have it repaired. Not only did they not fix the clear coat on the bumper, they have damaged the front passenger bumper, driver's door and interior of our vehicle. They sent it to Imex Paint & Body and then Barnett's in Flowood where it has been for months. We have reached out to Hyundai North America and the dealership won't respond to them either. The entire experience has been a complete nightmare and I see no end in sight. Do yourself a favor...RUN, do not walk away from this dealership! read more

I would like to give NO STARS AT ALL!!! My grandson took his car to them to have them find out what was wrong with his car. Found out there was a recall on his car that the former owners didn't get done. Because of that his engine blew up, so he needed another motor. it took them 2 weeks to to even approve the repair, then had to order it, got it in and it has been sitting there ever since! Amost 3 months later! They told him numerous times we will be starting on it next week, then tomorrow, on and on they told him they will start on it! I know how dealerships work, the technicians aren't making any money his car so they don't won't to work on it. My grandson has to be back to college in 3 weeks, too young to rent a car and they know all this!! But anyway we are going to get a lawyer and sue, it has been past the 30 days allowed. I recommend never ever buy a car from this place!! You will be making a big mistake if you deal with them!! read more
