I got what I came here for! Last year I got one of these journals, and I don't know what happened to it... if it was stolen, if someone hid it as a cruel joke? I don't know why or by whom, but I've searched my entire room multiple times, I've had other people search, I've searched the living room, I've searched the guest room, if for some reason I was writing in there.... Nothing. It's just gone. This journal is important because I would write to a deceased loved one in it, and to have it taken from me by unknown means was very upsetting! I tried other journals but it feels like reading a book before you finish another one. I need to finish this journal before I go to another journal. So when a friend of mine who was working at this Spirit Halloween had texted me that they had stocked them again this year, I was very pleased about that, and that is the reason I went to the store today, and what I was hoping to acquire, and what I did indeed, acquire. With its beautiful silver lining on the paper edges, each page adorned with filigree and a skull in the outer corner to accent. It's black script on the back so faded look like the lost writings of a madman, and a removable sticker stating the price as $14.99, and for some absurd reason, recommending it for ages 14+, the front is imprinted with THE ARCANE BOOK OF SHADOWS and a glyph with symbols that I can't quite describe, and an animal skull with a pentagram on it. The bottom lets you know this is a journal, and not a actually a book of shadows I'll be quite pleased to return to the store when it's of hours, and I can view more of their merchandise. I would love to peruse some tshirts and throw blankets. Although a quick scan tells me nothing is too new from last year, the Halloween store is always lovely, isn't it? A seasonal treasure. Besides, aren't all of our fishnets a little worn out by now???

I don't come here often but they really do have most everything you could think of to put on every…read morekind of party imaginable. The employees all seem very friendly except for one who was very rushed and short when I asked her a question. She seemed like she didn't have time for me. With covid and everything, I might have just caught her/them on a bad day. I found everything I was looking for and then some. Waited in line for about 10 minutes, which felt long, since they only had one person at the registers and I wished it would have gone a bit faster. My experience was nothing to write home about but still glad to have a place like this to go when hosting a party!
