This place blows my mind! I really appreciate this store because I am a total Halloween nerd! They are open 365 and have some of the most upscale Halloween home decor I have ever seen. 6 doors down is the costume store. Both stores have everything and then some. I'm really diggin the home decor store, some of the artwork they have for sale is incredible (and expensivo!). It's dark, cold and spooky and the employees are the nice kind of creeps. They have creepy baby onsies and some stuff for kids too. They play the Pee-Wee's Big Adventure soundtrack in the store. Haha! read more

Why oh why is this store not in my home state?? I am in love! We have the Halloween Warehouse in Beaverton which is basically the same cheap crap you can buy anywhere. Halloween Town has stuff I have never seen before and I wanted everything...From a Star Trek phaser to books I have never heard of...brain candles, and a raptor dog costume! Denise helped me and was very patient as I was torn between two wigs. I can't believe she was still so nice, because even I was getting annoyed with myself! I saw Dick Van Dyke here! How hard it was....not to follow him around, listen to his voice. Soon as you walk into this store, you smile. So many fun things to see, look out, fantasize about. Should I be this? Or, that? Should I wear this? Or, that? As with most things, you are only limited by your imagination and your wallet. It ain't cheap. The best costumes, you know the ones made of cloth, not vinyl, are as much as 180$!!! I was right next to a woman asking her boyfriend if he'd buy her that outfit. He hemmed and hawed. You're hot, but 180$ hot? I can relate. I may want to be BatGirl, but for 180$ before tax for one day......hmmm, I guess I'd rather spend that on....a hundred and eighty other things. This place is a must if you are in Burbank. It's Halloween all year round here and it's really a cool spot to walk in and charge your spooky batteries for the upcoming freight night. They have everything you'll need for a great costume party or pranks. I just love it because the decor is up and running at all times. This store is Halloween to the max! Traditional Halloween, too. Not just modern popular characters. It has a very spooky ambience and my kids loved it. (they are pretty morbid tho, so if your kid is a weenie, I don't recommend.) The only thing I would change is the pricing. I google searched some of the costumes and found them for half the price from retailers such as Annie's costumes, Star Wars Costumes, Spirit, and Electrique Boutique. All in all..... YEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! More year round Halloween goodness! This place is so much fun, I love shopping here! They opened up a new shop a few doors down for costumes as well! Two stores of amazingly Halloweeny goodness? YES! This store is jam packed with props, collectibles, DVD's, clothes, tons and tons of decorations, books, jewelry and art. The look of this place is the best, it's like a very rad mix of living in the Munsters house and a haunted Halloween attraction. I love the vintage inspired decorations from tin signs to curtains and garland, it's all here all year long. It's a tad on the pricey side but I am always happy to support a small business that loves Halloween as much as I do. Once a year they do the Haunted Mansion art show as well that is always a good time. It features art inspired by the Haunted Mansion Disney ride. Both Halloween town stores are neat... but grossly over priced. I saw the same rug I wanted for $10 more than the vendor site. Gotta pay the rent somehow I guess. Some stuff is cheap looking some stuff is ok. They're strict about not using the phone inside to compare prices and have signs posted saying so at the home decor one. You also can't try on stuff and take pics at the costume one... there are signs...even before covid. It's neat if I'm bored and need to look at stuff... but buying stuff there is a big nope. read more

The place is horrible and some people that work here probably have mental problems. Specifically the store manager. She clearly needs to work with her communication with customers. They point blank lie. Two days ago, I made a purchase in this store and no one asked me or required an ID from me to make a purchase with a debit card. I came back here today and spent an hour in the line and when the time came to the payment, one of the workers told me that I need an ID. Keep in mind that i've spent approximately two hours in the store. I politely told her that no one demanded my ID two days ago from me. She told me in a rude manner, almost shouting at me that she won't sell me anything without an ID. Although I didn't say that I wouldn't bring my ID which was in the car I still went and brought the ID. The manager was already there and she began to protect his cashier. They apparently thought that I would not return and I have an ID. Since they were in a bummer. the manager said that she would not sell anything to me any longer, since I am lying and that no one sold me anything without an ID two days ago. I just lost 2 hours of my time in this place. Very rude and dumb customer service staff. It is a pity that I had not read the reviews before going to this store. After reading the reviews, I realized that I was not the only one who faced this type of unprofessional, childish, and outrageous behavior in this store. The owner of the establishment can himself conclude that he has some serious problems with customer service. This doesn't come from a couple of people only. There are many customers who faced the same problem and I highly recommend people to stay away from this establishment for their own safety. read more

This place is amazing. I am so incredibly jealous that we do not have one of these in my home state of Utah. I have never been to a costume store like this before. They of course do carry your standard costumes, but they also have so much more. Their mask selection is very impressive. I have to say that the mask section is my favorite part of any Halloween store. Halloween Town's mask section was like nothing I has ever seen before. They had funny masks, scary masks, and just about everything in between. My personal favorite was the turkey mask, which I have uploaded a photo of for you guys. Enjoy. Now onto the costumes themselves. They have rows upon rows of costumes waiting to be tried on (over your clothes). Everything is organized neatly by category, but there are plenty of nice employees to help you find anything that you may have missed. I ended up taking a Walter White meth cook costume home. Wow. If you love Halloween like I do, this place is heaven. It's got all of the props and decor you could ever want. The range is from inexpensive and cute to major bucks and super high-end. They have it all. there's also a nice selection of t-shirts and hoodies. They have now separated the costumes into a different location across the street. That just means more room for good stuff!!! read more

Went here today so the wifes' son could check out the selection. Not bad. Seem to have most everything covered - except that they don't have a Ben Bernanke mask (which bummed me out). Yes, it's a bit spendy. But specialty shops always are - and a Halloween costume shop fits that mold. A "Chainsaw massacre" costume - that consisted of just an apron made to look like it was stitched-together with human skin (with some ears and fingers attached), was ~$40. The mask was another $60+...and NO chainsaw to be found at all! Said he'd be better off scrounging a used bloody apron from a meat-cutter @ a deli (with REAL blood all over it), and spending a few bucks on a real chainsaw from a pawn shop. At least the chainsaw could ACTUALLY be of some use, someday. read more

Came back today to replace a really fun ring with the third Eye in it! They have stocked up for Halloween at the original location. Headstones, nightmare before Christmas, smaller tchotchkes some T-shirts. It's always fun to stop in here. Don't bring your phone because you can't take pictures. It's a fun neighborhood stop! Especially at this time of year I also purchased some rhodium bat earrings! They have three stores for you to shop at one for children, one that is mostly just costumes and make up and accessories, and this one which has rings and goodies like I said. Having never worn a wig before, I Made the rookie mistake of purchasing a wig here to learn (after trying their model version on in the store) that I am allergic to whatever materials are used in synthetic wigs. Brand new in box, unopened, unworn the manager onsite was incredibly rude and non understanding of my situation when I returned less than an hour after purchasing to return the item with visible allergic reaction from the store's floor model. I would have also accepted store credit. She was totally unapologetic and short in her responses. To my credit no one explained to me at the time of purchase that all purchases are final... Lesson learned. Never again. read more

This place is awesome!! They actually have 3 stores; this one, a kids version, and a props version (which is also pretty cool). This one though has everything you'll ever need for a costume, good quality and at a reasonable price. I was scouring all the vintage shops nearby for a specific prop (certain shape/color glasses) and they had exactly what I was looking for, and more. Even being busy 10 days before halloween, the people working there were super nice and patient. They did an excellent job managing the crowd and check out. A+! read more

I, like half of Burbank and surrounding areas, waited until Halloween Eve to go shopping. With the help of friendly staff, I found everything I needed. Despite a line that seemed to go on forever strategically placed in the shop, I managed to get in and out within 30 minutes!! Loved the fact that as it was happening, the staff seemed to be in great spirits - even when dealing with a few customers that I overheard giving one of the staff a hard time. Was a procrastinator's dream! Their efficiency as a team was phenomenal - definitely deserving of kudos. See you next year! read more

Halloween is my favorite holiday! OF ALL TIME! I first learned about Halloween Town when my girlfriends and I came by for a book signing with the illustrator Gris Grimly a couple of years back. Since then, I have come to this store when in need of some items to finish off costumes for Halloween, or for plays, etc. They have everything from wigs, to full-on costumes, makeup, props, etc. They are also open ALL-YEAR-LONG! So you don't have to wait till September when a slew of other Halloween stores come cropping up. read more

Dropped by a couple of weeks ago to look for pirate-related paraphernalia for a friend's pirate-themed birthday party. I had already purchased a whole bunch of little pirate trinkets online (eye patches, hats, bandannas etc) and wanted some special 'pirate chief' accessories for the birthday man. Unfortunately, prices were quite steep for my intended purpose (one-off use). Pirate hats were $29.99 and up and any other accessories cost even more. I really just wanted stuff that look kinda cool & fun for pictures, not too concerned about quality or durability. You know, the cheap-o $5 felt pirate hats kinda thing? None of that here. That said, if you want to have a kick-ass costume / themed party and don't mind paying for quality, this is the place to be. I have to say that there isn't really anything substantial that costs less than say, $15. Steep prices, but insane variety and authenticity (many licensed products such as Pirates of the Caribbean and other Hollywood movies). If you're bored, just pop by and browse. If you love horror, you have to visit this place! Huge selection of T-shirts, art, costumes and other knick knacks. So, if you're shopping for a lover of horror you'll find plenty of unique items here. Also, the interior is unique. You'll find a castle with Frankenstein and Dracula, a haunted parlor, and even a wall of body parts! Every once and a while, I'll swing by to see the latest art (they also have plenty of art exhibitions), especially the Bob Lizarraga prints. I own a Lugosi White Zombie Caricature print he made and noticed he just printed a new Lurch one. When payday comes, you know where I'll be. Prices can be a little high on some items, but overall fair. There's plenty of street parking, but should you not find any, there's a parking lot around back. read more

I won't lie, you can find the same costumes for $10-20 cheaper than what this place sells them for, but the selection of EVERYTHING they have is just so amazing, that you can basically just get your epic costume from here instead of driving anywhere else. They have an endless amount of costumes to choose from and they have so many accessories, so you're basically able to build your own costume also! The staff was very unprofessional, I just left my outfit and left the store. I refuse to spend my money at this place or with these people. Very rude and unconventional in customer service. I'm a huge horror fan so when I found out about this place I had to go. It's extremely dark inside which adds to the spooky vibe. They have so much from toys to books to clothing to Halloween decor. I love this place! The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's spendy...however, if you were a year-round halloween store, wouldn't you be too? The kids LOVE going here and the backroom which used to be a lot scarier, still freaks out my little boys...but they still love it anyway...and like to pick up props and freak each other out. I enjoyed shopping here with my family and had always thought itd be awesome to work here. I finally get employed and it turned into a nightmare! Management is shady as f***, that store has to be your life. The owner is never around and has the assistant relay every personal message to you like it's such a secret. They talk shit behind your back and plan on firing people without any acknowledgement, people just vanish all the time in their minds "laid off" and then they hire new people... The owner doesn't give a shit about her employees, she has microphones everywhere so they can hear everything you say. Employees forewarned me about the owner and manager and I never believed it. She is petty and paranoid about every thing. The place is over priced and if you work their your banned from every store on Magnolia because the owner has paranoia and personal issues with those store owners.... and they are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. You can find most of these items online oh and you aren't allowed to make suggestions for other places you just have to play dumb.... ridiculous..... read more
