Some great things at the shop and the customer service by Nayell was great! Thank you

What a nice little thrift shop. I came to donate some clothing and of course I had to check out the place too. Once you walk in there is a shelf of books and novelties for the home. The clothing is organized by color and type (ie dress, long sleeve, etc) to make it easy to shop. There's also furniture that isn't broken and absolutely reusable when you walk out of the store.

Really nice guy in the donation center today! We came here because the Good Will bins were full and the guy there recommended this place. There is plenty of parking in the back and a gentlemen greeted us immediately. He offered us a receipt too. The donation center is open from 10-5 PM. We will be back when we have more to donate. :)

Some of the items were a couple dollars more than the usual thrift store finds, but it's worth it because of the time I save. Some highlights: - They have fitting rooms! The fitting rooms' curtains are also made up of up-cycled material which is another plus! - You can donate your clothes and receive a small discount. I don't remember the exact amount, but you can find the information printed near the cash register. - They sell unique and appealing up-cycled clothes and bags! We were very impressed with the organization and cleanliness. There was so much to go through! The selections on the first floor were ok -- most were goodwill and souvenir type of clothing. They were not that old, or quality vintage (IMO). We found the best selection on the second floor. The smaller racks had several curated items and repurposed pieces. Prices are very reasonable. We didn't find anything worthwhile at this first visit but it's definitely a place we would come back to.

Okay, I've had some time to chill out and I think I can more eloquently express my issue with this…read moreplace, and why I will never, ever go back. First, they claim this is a boutique, yet I've found more fast fashion here than anything else, including old Forever 21. The clothing is not curated whatsoever, or really even organized more than the basic long sleeves together, pants together, etc. Boutiques curate their clothing, display and merchandise it, and usually pay for their clothing (though not in all cases). This place is a small thrift store, but filled with women from a local church who give church ladies the reputation we all know about. Judgy, holier-than-thou, etc. I was here when they got a large donation - yes, donation - from the Johnny Carson Estate, including a ton of his wife's clothing. The pieces were vintage and in great shape, and all designer. That's awesome, good for them! Why did they fill the store with only those items, and attempt to sell them at the highest possible point in the range of their retail value? Because typically their clothing is actually pretty reasonable, this was a super surprise to myself and MULTIPLE other people in the store, all of whom were commenting on it. When I asked what was going on and if someone had lost their mind pricing items in a thrift store at $2k plus, a woman who didn't work there started attempting to belittle me for 'not knowing fabric' and not knowing the value of things. Lady, I worked in a wardrobe department for years, and resell high end vintage clothing. Further, even if I didn't, who on earth speaks to a stranger that way, and especially in a thrift store? Belittling people for not having money or knowing designer clothing is bad enough, but doing so in a store that is supposed to be for those people to be able to cloth themselves is just plain disgusting behavior. The woman in question was absolutely friends with all the women working there, and I already know that birds of a feather, so I won't be coming back to this place as I don't want to ever support women who behave like this. When I called the woman out for her behavior, she denied it, then said 'this conversation is over' because that's what narcissists do when they can't defend their actions. That woman was a disgusting jerk, and she gives that place a bad name - a name I believe it deserves, unfortunately. Avoid if possible!

Tierra's Treasures embodies what a great thrift shop is all about: interesting finds & bargain prices. While I wasn't looking for anything in particular, I was WOWED the moment I set foot inside, as each section of the shop felt like a perfectly organized little time capsule. From fun holiday items, flatware with quirky stems, well-preserved vintage & antique photos (yes, antique photos) & baby shoes, to an impressive collection of Pillsbury Doughboy kitchen items (who knew he had his own tea kettle?), I was beyond intrigued. None of the clothing & shoes were my size, however, the prices were great...FOUR dollars for a fancy cocktail dress that would then get reduced to $2 because of the day's surprise sale? Say whaaat?!?! The rear wall was dedicated to children's clothing on the left & toys on the right. And then, as I slowly made my way back to the front of the store, I spotted vintage vinyls! To me, record albums are hallmarks of a true secondhand shop & it's been nearly 10 years since I've seen old records in ANY thrift store; this one housed albums from Gladys Knight, Barbra Streisand & the late, great Lena Horne. I ended my little adventure with a pleasant conversation with one of the employees. All in all, this was one of those rare stores that I'll keep thinking about until I return!

Walked in yesterday mid-evening and got a nice welcome from Ivette and Destiny. Sweet young ladies who were putting some stuff away, stocking their shelves, and hanging some clothes back on the racks that people dump on the floor and expect others to clean up their mess. Before I forget, their shopping carts were nicely lined up. This homeless man kept coming in and messing with them. How lonely and bored are people? Overall. Not only homeless people. I had a full bag of clothes and shoes to donate. Aisles were very well organized and easy to navigate. Few things here and there were misplaced, but the ladies were on it. Since it was a little late in the evening, the donation center was already closed. Ivette said she would take it and put it in their bin when the store opens the following morning. What a nice gesture! :-)) As I was browsing the aisles, I noticed some cute blouses on the racks. Saw this yellowish, mustard neon color blouse that I really liked and decided to buy it along with 3 other used CDs, and two books. 2 of the CDs were $6.00 (together), the other CD was $2.50. The books, one was $5.00, and the other one was $3.00. Great bargain. The blouse had 3 small stains on it, & was size small, but I think it will fit me. It was $6.99 and they don't charge you for tax. Unfortunately, they didn't have dressing rooms. This Goodwill honestly has everything from toys, to books, to hats, luggages, to clothes, shoes, glasses, blankets, household items, beverages, socks, & more. 85% of their stuff looked brand new and the store was somewhat clean. They brought in a lot of their fall items along with Halloween items. There was good energy/vibes inside with fine music playing overhead. As I was getting ready to check out, Fabiola, the cashier in the front even gave me an extra $2.50 off, when I mentioned to her that one of the CDs had a small scratch and the blouse had 3 small stains on it. But today there was a different manager there and she treated me as if I was stealing something when I was trying to make an exchange. I don't understand their system with labeling things because sometimes it makes no sense but I was exchanging a little kids tent I got for my cat (and she wanted nothing to do with it) and it was labeled as toys & games, I guess because it is a little kids tent? She almost didn't do the exchange because she said it wasn't toys or games.. Then when I was done with her being hesitant each item I exchanged, I went to put all the things I bought away, intending to shop more after the exchange was done. I almost didn't want to come back because she treated me so weird. I returned anyway and I found 5 more things I wanted to buy and I still had 2 shirts I wanted to exchange and the lady who rang me up was very nice but she too had a problem with my exchanges. I guess someone tagged my shirt as long sleeve when it was a poofy blouse with short sleeves and she was instantly investigating everything saying the tag looked like it was removed because the hole wasn't tiny? It looked exactly like the other shirts tags I was buying, where the hole had some amount of wear on it because so many people lift the tag up to check the price. I spend a CRAZY amount of money at goodwill (it's out of control) and the blouse I was returning was the brand "bp." and is normally around $40 at nordstrom, it just didn't look good on me when I got to fully try it on so I was exchanging it to continue to give them my business even though I could easily just sell it online. Also, if they had actual dressing rooms and more than one mirror in the store that everyone has to share (I get shy especially when a guy is watching me try things on) I wouldn't be exchanging half as many things as I have. Why do I get treated like a thief? It's embarrassing. I've spent thousands of dollars at goodwill this year because I wanted to feel better about where my money was going. I don't think I want to return there anymore :(
