After the guy "fixed" our fireplace, our logs crumbled after a few days, rendering our fireplace completely unusable until we could get new logs (which cost $700) and took over 6 months to arrive. Even after new logs, our fireplace wouldn't work. Because it was more than 90 days after the service tech came out, they want another $200 and 2 more months wait for a tech to look at it. Service rep is rude, and none of their employees communicate. We're over $900 and almost a year into this thing and all we are left with is frustration and and a non-working fireplace. Take your money elsewhere.

I had no choice but to pay for the service call to get the unit working - they refused to schedule the service until I agreed to pay. Not once did they contact the manufacturer and try to make this right with me - the customer. They had no problem taking my $4600 when they sold it to me, but showed zero support or effort to make this right for me when it didn't work. I spent hours/days going between them & the manufacturer and am still waiting to be reimbursed for the service call by the manufacturer as they promised. Also, when they sold me this unit, they sold me a log kit for $300+ that didn't even fit the fireplace unit so I had to drive back and return the logs, which they did refund me for. I will never return to this store nor would I recommend to others.. it was a really bad experience on several levels and a big waste of much of my time. I am grateful that the unit is now working and just pray I don't have to call for service again!

Bonding started to detach from brick due to thin, 1.3mm, application and water intrusion from poor reconstruction of chimney cap. Industry standard ASTM C887 states properly applied bonding application has a life span of 15-20 yrs. This application failed at 6 years. The rating of 1 star is generous. Should be -2.
