About a month ago, I took my Shih Tzu to Pup Town for a bath and haircut. I gave clear, simple instructions: a teddy bear face and a specific blade length for his body. About an hour later, I received a call from the receptionist saying my dog had "accidentally been shaved." At first, I thought there had to be some misunderstanding, so I called back. That's when I was told that the wrong groomer had taken the wrong dog from the wrong kennel and completely shaved my Shih Tzu. When I say completely shaved, I mean everything. His signature teddy bear face and his long tail were shaved down with the shortest blade. I barely recognized my own dog when I picked him up. Before arriving, I told the receptionist that I wanted to speak with the manager, but I was informed the manager wasn't there that day. Initially, they said they would only charge me for the bath, but I made it clear I wasn't willing to pay for any service because my dog was groomed without my authorization and completely contrary to the instructions I had given. The receptionist was incredibly kind, apologetic, and professional. She told me she had spoken with the manager and that all charges would be waived. She also assured me the manager would call me the following day. That call never came. My poor baby was shaved so closely that, in the middle of summer, he had to wear a sweater at night because he was shivering from being cold. It was heartbreaking to see him so uncomfortable because of a mistake that should never have happened. I understand that mistakes happen, and thankfully my dog's hair will eventually grow back. However, what I can't overlook is how poorly this situation was handled afterward. A sincere apology and a follow-up from management would have gone a long way. Because of the lack of accountability and customer service, I will never return to Pup Town, nor would I recommend them to anyone. read more

My Cavapoo recently had his first professional grooming; unfortunately I was very disappointed. I explained several times that I had never had a dog groomed before and asked for guidance. We discussed the available length options, and I selected the middle length with a typical teddy bear style. When Flynn was returned to me, he barely appeared trimmed at all and looked closer to the longest length option instead of what we had discussed. After I expressed concern, they took him back to adjust the groom. Unfortunately, the result looked uneven and choppy rather than blended and polished. His face was cute, but his body, neck, and back looked unfinished and boxy, with uneven areas throughout the coat. To their credit, management did offer to have him come back in for another correction after I sent photos. However, during that visit I could hear Flynn yelping multiple times, and I heard the groomer loudly telling him to "stop." This was especially upsetting because the original groomer had told me he behaved like "a perfect gentleman" during the first appointment. I understand puppy coats can be more difficult to groom evenly, especially with Cavapoos/doodles, and I was not expecting absolute perfection. However, I did expect a more professional finish and a calmer, more reassuring experience for a puppy's first groom. Another issue that really bothered me was the cleanliness outside the shop. When I first arrived for the appointment, there were three piles of dog waste on the sidewalk directly in front of the business, despite signage asking owners to clean up after their pets and offering waste bags. When I returned approximately 2.5 hours later, the waste was still there. Three days later, when I took him back, one of the piles had been stepped in and smeared across the sidewalk while the others were finally gone. I understand pet owners should clean up after their own dogs, but leaving waste sitting outside the entrance for days in a shared shopping center reflects poorly on the business as well. Because of the overall experience, I do not feel comfortable returning, and I now worry that Flynn may associate grooming with stress rather than a positive experience. read more

This was the first time I had taken my dogs here. I had the best experience. I loved how they followed the instructions I gave them on how to cut their hair. Marcelo and Jennifer did a great job. I loved my dogs hair cuts. One of my dog is 13 years old and kind of grumpy at times. The other one is 10 months and learning that grooming will be part of her life. They were able to manage them perfectly. I made an appointment online. Check in was super easy and they were very nice. They gave me a report at the end just to update me on how they did. Prices were reasonable. They were quick too. They were done at 2 hours. They also sell other stuff for your dogs in case you want bows, flea medication, Etc. I hope this review helps others make better decisions. We have used groomers for ten years and not once has our dog had this many nicks and razor burns all over her body. She nicked all over her body and nicked her nipple, butt, arm pits and private parts. When I emailed the owner she first said I was informed by the groomer about the nicks which is a lie then later in a text said the nicks were already there. If you tell the truth yoy don't have to worry about keeping your stories straight. She was really nasty about bringing what her groomer did to my dog, to her attention and no sympathy but defended what their groomer so the owner thinks this result is normal and good and I guess their idea of papering your dog by torturing them .. I wanted to share my latest experience with this company. I thought it would be easier to have a mobile grooming company come to do a cut for my 17-18 pound Multi poo. Before booking I asked for the most experience groomer who can do poodle cuts because there is a certain way you do their cuts and have to have a lot of experience. They recommended two people and I chose Carmen due to the time she was available. When I got him back, he was all shaved off his groin has an infection and big Cuts, his paws are all red, his tail is completely shaved and destroyed. I mean, when I tell you my dog was unrecognisable I literally had to check his personality a few few times to make sure this is my dog. I have never had this happen to me. Would not like any customers to experience this because not only my dog is experiencing a lot of pain and discomfort. This is causing more bills. I paid $162 with change which included a tip for a small dog turbo experience, my dog is traumatised, and this is the ugliest I've ever seen in my life. I have an Australian Shepherd Golden Retriever mix and they butchered her hair. They shaved her after telling me, repeatedly, that they are well trained and know how to do a proper Australian Shephard cut. Also, she is a service dog and when it came time to trim her nails they cut only two, the first she yelped, and after she yelped the second time with the second nail they put a muzzle on her AND started to tie her down. And my mom was watching the entire time and saw EXACTLY what happen. Chelsea did an awesome job with our 12wk old puppy, Cash. It was his first grooming, and he's a Zuchon (Shih Tzu + Bichon Frise) with a silky coat. We'd given him a bath a couple days prior, so I just asked for trims around his face, paws, and sanitary area, as well as a nail trim. It only took about 10 minutes and he came back looking so clean, smelling good, tail wagging.
