I waited for maybe a half hour to start my appointment, but that's not unusual for other doctors I see. Then I was called back and I started my testing and all the initial health questions were asked since I guess I was a new patient. Then I met Dr. Smith and we discussed my concerns with my left eye. He was thorough in my testing and discussed everything he saw. He showed me the pictures of my eye. He made me feel very relaxed. I now have a new eye doctor.

The girl behind the counter didn't even look at me and my two children. The man who was cleaning up didn't even acknowledge us. I asked if it was ok if I looked at the glasses. I was asked if the prescription was from there and I said no and immediately asked if they didn't take other prescriptions. He said yes they do, but he was not happy about our choice to be there and he made that very clear. All the glasses were locked up behind glass. When my son found a pair that he liked, NO ONE asked if they could open the case so that he could actually put them on his face. After looking around waiting for someone to at least offer to help us and actually put the glasses on, we walked out. Not one person was friendly. All they cared about was going home. I have NEVER been treated with so little respect in a place of business. Like I said before, I understand that it was almost quitting time, but at least be friendly and at least act like you want our business, even if it's Friday afternoon. If you want to be treated with respect, go to BJs for your glasses. At least they care. This business should be ashamed of how they treated a mom and her two kids, one of which really needed glasses. If I could give zero stars, that I what they would deserve.

Since getting these tests done is critical to rule out things so I can get the correct treatment for my autoimmune condition. Despite me saying I do not react well to the dilation and I get severe headaches and light sensitivity they did not care. I should have refused but I really needed the tests done so I agreed, then they only completed one of the two tests as they said I didn't need it despite what my rheumatologist requested, I was not provided tissues to wipe my eyes nor dark glasses to protect my eyes. I had to take an uber home as my vision was so blurry I could not drive.

I was told that I had to have immediate surgery for a hyper-enlarged cataract and that my glasses needed a major correction. Well guess what? Shortly thereafter I went to an ophthalmologist and I was told that the cataracts in my eyes were insignificant and that I didn't need a prescription for glasses. If I had the time I would report her to the Delaware Board of Examiners in Optometry. Heed my words, otherwise you will jeopardize your health.

I find this to be an outrageous abridgment to free speech and quite alarming. There are fabulous ophthalmologists in Philadelphia affiliated with world class facilities. Therefore, I don't understand why anyone wouldn't pursue having their cataract surgery there and not from someone like Dr. Caruso.

I was treated like a VIP while I was there and the procedure itself was 7 MINUTES.
