I waited for maybe a half hour to start my appointment, but that's not unusual for other doctors I see. Then I was called back and I started my testing and all the initial health questions were asked since I guess I was a new patient. Then I met Dr. Smith and we discussed my concerns with my left eye. I was fortunate to have contacted Heather Seiver who was instrumental in getting me an appointment. On that very first appointment I met very professional individuals at this office who made it easy to decide and move forward. I had my first right eye surgery on 4/19/23 and the next today 5/3/2023. Both surgeries went very well. In a few more days I'll know more but it appears I may not need my bi-focal glasses anymore. I decided to go with the Multi-Focal lenses although they have more advance light adjustable lenses too. During my first visit and subsequently I also met Amber a Lead technician here for 19+ years who explained the various lenses as part of my early education. I highly recommend this practice especially Dr. Smith. Everyone is highly trained, very professional and totally dedicated to making patients feel at ease. Since getting these tests done is critical to rule out things so I can get the correct treatment for my autoimmune condition. Despite me saying I do not react well to the dilation and I get severe headaches and light sensitivity they did not care. I should have refused but I really needed the tests done so I agreed, then they only completed one of the two tests as they said I didn't need it despite what my rheumatologist requested, I was not provided tissues to wipe my eyes nor dark glasses to protect my eyes. I had to take an uber home as my vision was so blurry I could not drive.

Shortly thereafter I went to an ophthalmologist and I was told that the cataracts in my eyes were insignificant and that I didn't need a prescription for glasses. If I had the time I would report her to the Delaware Board of Examiners in Optometry. Heed my words, otherwise you will jeopardize your health.

I find this to be an outrageous abridgment to free speech and quite alarming. There are fabulous ophthalmologists in Philadelphia affiliated with world class facilities.
