The event was held on Oct 20th which we thought was very convenient as it allowed the locals to enjoy the weekend visiting a local flair while the actual more popular Halloween weekend was still to come (hooray just another reason/excuse for more celebrations and to get out and enjoy the cooler Fall weather). Volunteers had decorated the park including setting up booths, a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, moonwalks, a food station and covered eating area where we enjoyed hotdogs, chips, fruit and a drink FREE of charge. This festival gets more popular and bigger each and every year and is a fabulous community based event. Oh and kids get to take home a FREE pumpkin. Did we also tell you there is no entrance fee and that every thing was FREE FREE FREE.

Enough about that. this little park is a gem, with a 1/3 mile paved walking trail that winds around. It's got lots of trees, bathrooms, water fountain, and a drink machine. The playground is lovely, and there are two or three picnic benches. The trail is marked in 1/10 mile increments. There is ample free parking. Just a lovely little oasis right here in the city.

It's close to Costco and H-Mart, and near H-Mart you'll also find Paris Baguette and Tous Les Jours. There's an 85°C nearby as well and with Costco right next door, you could easily spend half a day hopping between all these places. On weekends, traffic can be pretty crazy and parking isn't easy since everyone shops then. However, if you come on a weekday especially outside of lunchtime--it's much easier to find a parking spot. Inside 99 Ranch, there's a food court with options like San dong noodles, dim sum, stir-fry dishes, and Chinese barbecue. On the other side of the plaza, there are also several restaurants, including Korean spots and Vietnamese crawfish places. As for the store itself, there are always clearance items near the Kung Fu Tea area, which we usually check out before heading in to shop for fruits, produce, vegetables--pretty much everything. I found my favorite Japanese soy milk but this was banana flavored. Way too sweet for me and it was $4/carton. It's a large store and they offer a loyalty program. If it's your first time visiting 99 Ranch, you could easily spend an hour just roaming the aisles. There's so much to see--it almost feels like a little field trip every time we go.

There was zero communication, zero courtesy, and no accountability. Watching someone intentionally skip you after you've been standing there waiting is beyond frustrating and disrespectful. Customer service like this is unacceptable. If you don't want to help customers, you shouldn't be working in a customer-facing role. Management seriously needs to address this behavior because it reflects terribly on the business. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they enjoy being ignored and treated like they don't matter. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Ended up going to H-Mart down the street. Much more professional.

I also bought some chocolate bars that the group has raved about and my son and I baked the pizza. They have some of the best items at good prices. Even their meat selections and frozen food sections are good. I have my quarter handy to get a shopping cart and my recycle bags because they do not give you a bag.

They do not have a ton of staff members; but ones they do have are more than eager to help you when needed. The wine selection is quite large and have great prices. The Import chocolate candy from Aldi's is always nice to get for yourself or give as a gift. Some people do not know that they sell brand name items under their name at a cheaper price. (i.e. large bag of chips for .99) If you don't like something you buy from their store brand you can take it back and get your money back. They have pasta sauce for .89 a jar. That is regular price not a sale price. Eggs & milk are a great buy. And many, many more. Aldi's also sells specialty items, house-ware items, tools, holiday items and more. But, once you see it, buy it right then because you will not see it again. They do not get the same items over and over. Two things I would like to tell you. You need a quarter to use a grocery basket. When you return the basket you get your quarter back. (You will never find a stray grocery basket in there parking lot!!!!) (I love this idea) The other one is: They do not bag your groceries. You need to bring your own bags and bag them yourself on the long counter they have by the exit door. Aldi's does have bags you can purchase, but I'm not sure the price of them because I have always brought my own. The store was clean and well organized. They had plenty of stock on some popular items with my group. Found the chocolate chip cookies, the chocolate candy bars with almonds and bought more sweet cantaloupe. Also found some street tacos that really came in handy for a quick dinner tonight. I bought some Mediterranean dressing and tomatoes and cucumbers to try. They had some other items that are popular in the group and I was happy to see a well stocked store. This location is on the way home for me and I will definitely put on my list to swing by from time to time. Checkout was fast and efficient.

My heart is so happy seeing the maple lose leaf then growing back leaves this past month. My magnolia I don't think ever lost leaves. Money well spent here ------ Easy smooth process and honest place. This place was actually my second place of choice to buy trees. I previously went to another tree farm originally but that place was not open according to their business hours so we left. I remember driving past this huge place on the way home one day a few weeks back and decided to check it out to see if they have what we want. Uh yes they do. This place is huge! They have everything! Prices are much lower than Big Tex. Only discount on planting charge if you buy multiple. We wanted 2 45-gal of 2 types of tree, Patrick recommended that 35-gal and 45-gal for one of the trees is not much of the difference in size but big difference in price and that we should go with the 35-gal. I appreciate the honesty. Schedule date to have them planted and that was it! They show up early and planting 3 trees took them approximately only 1-1.5 hour. P/S: The place is dirt and gravel and can be muddy after rain so don't dress to impress with your best shoes when you shop here.

Read their clauses in their contract carefully…read more In hindsight I feel a full service provider such as Hogue Landscape or similar companies may make more sense as they grade, do a free design, install, check your irrigation rather than show up with a bunch of trees of debatable quality & wish you luck. If you read their response, you will see the onus they put on the buyer as in daily monitoring their trees, keeping a log etc. Well, most people have a job, kids etc & do not sit in the backyard with a journal all day recording each leaf that falls. bottom line - Verdant installed 28 trees of which 26 died in a month!! Ignoring their loooong list of excuses, if that makes sense or is acceptable, then i guess that's that . I blew $15,000 with them and had to redo my backyard with someone with experience and my yard now looks terrific. dm me for pics or lessons learnt. Good luck with your project!
