I've been coming to this place for years!!! It's by far the best fast-food hamburger in Birmingham. I've been known to knock down the Holy Cow Special from time to time but do be warned that it's a lot of food. The overall hamburger is great but what really sends it over the top is the special sauce they put on their burgers. No idea what it is but it's awesome. As for the aesthetic, it's very clean and tidy. Service is always fast and I haven't ever had my order come out wrong. If you've already knocked out your workout for the day, get a strawberry milkshake but get it after your meal. I just ask them to make it when I'm done eating which they will do for you. I have been to this Hamburger heaven a lot of mornings. At first they was really good but as time went by they have gotten worse. I ordered the breakfast bowel and once you know the grits was cook. But, now the grits Is so watery that it is like they just put it in the pot and it shouldn't be sold to customers. So I give them another chance because it could just be that one item. So I ordered the breakfast Item from the menu which was the Breakfast Burger and Cinnamon Roll. I got a Breakfast Burger with NO BURGER and a Cinnamon Roll SO HARD that you could play BASEBALL with it. For this Bad Service and Food cost me $10 Dollars. They showed me that they didn't want my money. So I will take it some where ease and get a Breakfast that can enjoy instead of JUST THROWING IN THE TRASH!!!! read more

I have been to Hamburger Heaven more for breakfast over the years than for lunch or dinner. Mainly because I had a client that was close to the owner very close to this location. We usually met in the mornings and it made sense to come here. For the location and the tastiness. The location near me in Irondale does not do the breakfast. Very disappointing. So when I was over this way earlier in the day, I took advantage for the first time in years. The breakfast I remember, was still really good. This experience was not the best overall. But the tastes were still really good. I got a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast biscuit. The ice in the drink was still top notch. The hash cakes are what I remember. A better than average fast food burger but by no means the best burger in town. The Jumbo Cheeseburger (minus onions) with Onion Rings combo is my favorite. When I am not quite as hungry or plan to have a larger dinner later the regular Cheeseburger Combo is a good substitute. If you want something different than the usual with your combo, try the cornballs. Today I tried the Slider Combo for something new. It was OK but will not take the place of either of my normal choices. The cheese on the slider was maybe half the size of the patty which barely was visible outside the bun. A little too much bread in the meat to bread ratio IMO. Had the patty been thicker and the cheese fully covering it might move to #2 on my list of choices. I have had the 3 Decker Club before and while very good, despite any intentions otherwise, I have a hard time not ordering a burger when I come to "Hamburger" Heaven. This was one of my first stops for lunch at my new work location. The burgers are fresh and juicy!!!! Heaven? maybe... but the corn balls are great.. Who would have thought you could deep fry cream corn.... I know it sounds like it would not be good, but trust me these were great!!!! Really good burger! I stopped in to Hamburger Heaven and tried the #4 combo which consists of a Cheeseburger, fries, & a large drink. The place was really clean & the service was really fast ( got mine to go). It is decorated with interesting memorabelia from the University of Alabama & Auburn. All in all, it was a good meal - the drink was cold, the fries were average, but the burger was pretty dang good! BIG burger! The only drawback was that I paid a little over $8.00 for the combo and only realized after the fact that the drink cost me over 2 bucks! Nice place to get a burger! read more

There isn't many burger joints around that actually make everything fresh and some even try to cut costs by getting processed food. I've always wandering how good the food is and since I was in the area with my best friend, I'd suggested that we have lunch at Hamburger Heaven. They have more than just hamburgers for anyone that want something alternative. If you loved there special sauce,( I didn't care for it ) you can purchase a bottle to have at home. The ordering process is just like any other fast food restaurants where you place your order and they'll call your ticket number when it's ready. I ended up ordering a jumbo cheeseburger combo which came with a large drink and a small order of fries. The burger was a good size (which I'd devour the heck out of) and they could've given me more portion on the French fries. I admire them cooking everything fresh and the only issue is that the burger had too much toppings going on which was making everything slide off the bun, but it was a big burger so I should've expected that. I don't know about the other locations, but this one is a solid plus in my book. read more

I noticed how small the menu is nothing really to choose from at all its probably the smallest menu I've seen out of all the places I have been to in Alabama. I wanted to get something other than a burger so I decided to try their grilled chicken sandwich and it was ok I tasted no seasoning on the chicken at all it was to dry I've had much better sandwiches. My late husband and I ate here a lot, and I decided to go today. I always loved their burgers, however today mine was overcooked and actually dried out and hard on one side. Cons : Chicken fingers - I had their chicken fingers today and I think they are the worst I have ever had. I know this is primarily a burger place but chicken fingers should be an easy base hit. Size - these things are huge! And that's not a compliment. It makes them hard to handle like holding an entire chicken breast. I prefer smaller fingers like Trump, Hardee's and zaxbys have. Dry - they seemed a little over cooked and not very juicy like at zaxbys. Breading - too much and and too crunchy-ish for my taste ; again I prefer the new milos or Hardee's style. Burgers - pretty good but there are many other places to get a better burger in the area that I rarely come here for a burger. Fries - OK. I much prefer milos and zaxbys fried. Pros : service - great staff. Always friendly and polite. Clean - great job in this area! Okay I will start off saying that the Triple Decker Club I order today was soooooooooo delicious. Everyone on my team has been bragging about this Club for weeks so I decided to give it a try. I was already given far warning that the club was going to be $7. So I thought this must be a good sandwich, I must try. I drove over to the Homewood location to place my order. However, while trying to place my order in the Drive-Thru the order taker on the other end was loud, rude, and had the audacity to tell me not to change my order once I got to the window. Now, this shocked me because I have never, ever experienced this at any fast food place. Once I got to the window I informed the drive thru worker that what she said was rude. My tone was nice, and sympathetic because I know it's fast food and everyone has an off day. But as she responded in a even ruder manner, with her head rolling. As she kept on with her BAD ATTITUDE & NASTY DISPOSITION. I realized it was the same girl from Saturday morning breakfast that when I said good morning to her. She responded back in a nasty manner and an eye roll. I blew it off as her not being an early morning person. But as she kept on and on and on I realized I should just give her a piece of my mind b/c it's not just a bad day for her it's her BAD, NASTY, DISRESPECTFUL ATTITUDE.
