Awful sloppy lettuce about a teaspoon portion soggy bun overcooked patty tough!!! Do yourself a favor avoid

Terrible experience the place used to be good continues to go downhill. Lettuce was old and the size of a teaspoon on a jumbo wet and soggy bun. Meat was overcooked and tough. Not sure who's in charge but there needs to be changes , I'm done !!

I have been to Hamburger Heaven more for breakfast over the years than for lunch or dinner. Mainly because I had a client that was close to the owner very close to this location. We usually met in the mornings and it made sense to come here. For the location and the tastiness. The location near me in Irondale does not do the breakfast. Very disappointing. So when I was over this way earlier in the day, I took advantage for the first time in years. The breakfast I remember, was still really good. This experience was not the best overall. But the tastes were still really good. I got a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast biscuit. The ice in the drink was still top notch. The hash cakes are what I remember. But there were WAY to few with four in my order. Not the best breakfast or best burger in the city with no hesitation. But really solid on both fronts. I will always enjoy a trip to HH.

A better than average fast food burger but by no means the best burger in town. The Jumbo Cheeseburger (minus onions) with Onion Rings combo is my favorite. When I am not quite as hungry or plan to have a larger dinner later the regular Cheeseburger Combo is a good substitute. If you want something different than the usual with your combo, try the cornballs. Today I tried the Slider Combo for something new. It was OK but will not take the place of either of my normal choices. The cheese on the slider was maybe half the size of the patty which barely was visible outside the bun. A little too much bread in the meat to bread ratio IMO. Had the patty been thicker and the cheese fully covering it might move to #2 on my list of choices. I have had the 3 Decker Club before and while very good, despite any intentions otherwise, I have a hard time not ordering a burger when I come to "Hamburger" Heaven. The milkshakes are very good and a large variety of flavors.

Really good burger! I stopped in to Hamburger Heaven and tried the #4 combo which consists of a Cheeseburger, fries, & a large drink. The place was really clean & the service was really fast ( got mine to go). It is decorated with interesting memorabelia from the University of Alabama & Auburn. All in all, it was a good meal - the drink was cold, the fries were average, but the burger was pretty dang good! BIG burger! The only drawback was that I paid a little over $8.00 for the combo and only realized after the fact that the drink cost me over 2 bucks! Nice place to get a burger!

There isn't many burger joints around that actually make everything fresh and some even try to cut costs by getting processed food. I've always wandering how good the food is and since I was in the area with my best friend, I'd suggested that we have lunch at Hamburger Heaven. They have more than just hamburgers for anyone that want something alternative. If you loved there special sauce,( I didn't care for it ) you can purchase a bottle to have at home. The ordering process is just like any other fast food restaurants where you place your order and they'll call your ticket number when it's ready. I ended up ordering a jumbo cheeseburger combo which came with a large drink and a small order of fries. The burger was a good size (which I'd devour the heck out of) and they could've given me more portion on the French fries. I admire them cooking everything fresh and the only issue is that the burger had too much toppings going on which was making everything slide off the bun, but it was a big burger so I should've expected that. I don't know about the other locations, but this one is a solid plus in my book.

This was my first time coming to hamburger heaven and overall it was just ok. I noticed how small the menu is nothing really to choose from at all its probably the smallest menu I've seen out of all the places I have been to in Alabama. I wanted to get something other than a burger so I decided to try their grilled chicken sandwich and it was ok I tasted no seasoning on the chicken at all it was to dry I've had much better sandwiches. The fires were not good either they tasted like they warm and were not fresh at all even though customer service was good and I didn't have to wait long for my food at the same time I want hot and fresh food just a big disappointment

Absolutely delicious and crave worthy. The burger was juicy and flavorful everything I wanted. The bun was toasted to perfection. My husband got the regular hand cut fries and I got the sweet potato fries. Literally the best SP fries I've ever had they were crispy and perfect balance of salty sweet. Yum! They have a few beer options and fountain drinks. Our food came out quickly and the whole place had a funky cool vibe.

The highlight of the meal was definitely the burgers. The Wagyu beef patties were excellent--juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. We also tried one of their hot dogs, and it was very good as well. The bun was soft, fresh, and really complemented the toppings. The fries were crispy and tasty, making for a solid side. For our meal, we ordered the Chili Ray Cyrus burger with fries ($13.29), an Al Capone hot dog ($8.79), a Blueprint burger ($11.29), and two fountain drinks ($2.79 each). Our total came to $48.69, including tax and tip. The only thing keeping this from being a five-star review is the pricing. While the quality of the food is undeniable, almost $9 for a hot dog felt a bit steep, especially considering it's just the hot dog without a side. If the prices were a little more reasonable, I'd have no problem giving this place five stars. Overall, the food quality exceeded my expectations, and I'd definitely return when I'm in the area. If you're looking for a well-cooked Wagyu burger or a quality gourmet hot dog, Whiskey Foxtrot is worth checking out--you'll just want to be prepared for the premium pricing.

Because of the intense Alabama heat, we chose to sit inside, though they have a really nice screened-in patio available. The restaurant is intimate but well laid out, featuring a couple of distinct dining areas and a bar. Since it was our first time, our server, Daniella, recommended the candied bacon bombs to start. They came with a side of cheese curds, and both were absolutely delicious. Even as small as the curds were, they had a perfect cheese pull! For our mains, I ordered the cowboy burger with an added egg and a side of sweet potato fries, while my son chose the shrimp and grits. My burger was incredible, a solid 9.5 out of 10. My son rated his shrimp and grits a 7, though he has a lot of experience with that dish to compare it to. Daniella provided fantastic service, checking in at just the right times without hovering. I later realized I forgot to ask if they do anything special for birthdays, but honestly, my son was probably glad I forgot! Overall, it was a great meal, excellent service, and a very cool environment.

Located across from Planet Fitness and beside Davenport's Pizza, they share a fun common area with Taco Mama and Paneras. There's plenty of tables outside with artificial tuff and kids toys for entertainment. There's also comfortable indoor seating if you want to keep away from the outside heat or cold. The tables are bare so you have to head to the cleanup kiosk by the entrance to get your napkins, cutlery, cups of ketchup and packets of mustard. In another corner is a large upright cooler that houses the bottled water and canned drinks. Finally there's a large counter to place and pick up your order with a large viewable kitchen directly behind. The Standard is owned by a Korean couple, Young Shin and Kookie Kim. This the second Standard with the first being in the Pizitz Food Hall downtown across from the McWane Center. They make their beef fresh from scratch every morning and want to be "honest" with their food. Being newly open, the dining room is immaculate. There are not many decorations on the walls as two walls of their dining room are clear glass which makes the dining room look much bigger and brighter. Their menu is the definition of simplicity. 3 categories: Under Burger & Sandwiches they have: Cheeseburger, Black Bean Veggie Burger, Double Bacon Cheeseburger, Patty Melt, Fried Bologna, Pilly Cheesesteak & Chicken sandwich. Under Hot Dogs: Birmingham Dog, Grilled Cheese & Plain Dog. Under Add-Ons: Fried Egg, Bacon, Smashed Avocado, Pickled Jalapenos, Grilled Onions, Sauerkraut, etc. Paul and Linh both got a Cheeseburger. It looks Yuge and must've been good because they both finished it. Matthew got the Patty melt. It was also big with 2 burger patties mashed together between 2 buttered slices of bread, pimento cheese and onions. Tammy tried the Philly cheesesteak. The slices of meat were smoothered with white american cheese, grilled onions and drizzled with garlic aoli. It was pretty good. I tried their Chicken sandwich. My piece of chicken was Yuge! It was nicely breaded and fried. It's nice when the chicken is larger than the buns which were buttered and lightly toasted. With the mayo and pickles, it was one of the better chicken sandwiches I've eaten. Finally we all shared a large order of their tater tots. I love tater tots and these were hot out of the fryer Yom Yom good! A prickly afterthought was the fact they add a 3.5% non-cash fee. So if you're paying with anything other than cash, you will be billed an additional 3.5%. So for my total of $34.50, my fee was $1.21. No big deal. So if you're planning a date night, stop by The Standard for a quick bite then walk ove to the AMC for a nice movie. Welcome to Vestavia, Standard.
