It was more like seasoned ground beef on top. I felt like it needed a special sauce... or something. But overall I spent a total of $9... so, still worth the try. I typically order the patty melt from The Standard. They have one of best in the city and only have competition from the Waffle House after 3am after a night at the club. Today, I tried their chilli dog. I prefer mine with mustard, onions, and chili, of course. I think they use a beef hotdog, I should have asked but I don't care. Beef, pork or even turkey dogs are ok with me. They have a pretty good staff and although not overly friendly, they get your order right and do not make you feel like you're bothering them.
