Visited the store the first time today. Looked like it needed be restocked but has a lot of neat items from Europe. Was looking for the super rare Fanta Shokata, a Eastern Europe Fanta flavor that is Elderflower Lime that's hard to find in the US, but they had it in stock on sale for $3.00. Looked for German Beers and browsed the store looking at the teas and for Pierogies. No German beer so I grabbed some Czech and Polish Lagers for the parents to try. As for the Pierogie front, I would need to go back and double check but they might have ran out of premium flavors and only had Pulmonies left, but even that had interest flavors, like beef and veal. They carry Milka chocolate in several different flavors so I need to come back for a super snack haul with other interesting things to try. They have a nice selection of tinned fish, but I wasn't able to find any shellfish. The store had all sorts of sauces, seasonings, soup bases and ingredients for cooking and baking. They carry a wide variety of meats that looked good as a snack, for a charcuterie board or as a breakfast food item for rice porridge with the tinned fish. All in all, it was a good chance to browse some of the stuff that places like Super King might not carry or that Aldi or Trader Joes doesn't have. read more

Located in the bustling main street of Alhambra, I've unfortunately missed the chance to go here since until recently, so I'm glad I was able to catch them when they were open. I could have sworn that they used to have more limited hours, but either way, it's a solid European market. Aside from being a market, I think they also do shipping services to Europe too if you have friends or family there. Sizeable market with lots of snacks, sweets, dried goods, some ice cream, frozen food, drinks, alcohol, cooking and baking goods, and much more. You can easily spend a good amount of time perusing the wide variety of food that they have here. Great place to get tinned fish, chocolates, or crackers and cookies or candies if you're trying to find a quick gift. My boyfriend got some alcohol and some canned goods here. I got some caramel vanilla ice cream. Reminded me of the drumstick ice cream, but creamier and less "heavy" tasting if that makes sense. A juxtaposition, I'm sure. Shop had customers come in and out the entire time, but it was never super busy. Worker was on the phone I think with other customers, but was friendly either way. So with our interests perked, we decided to venture over and check it out. When we walked it, I didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised with seeing all the racks and freezers with different products from countries around Europe. I was excited to see the variety of tinned food, jars, desserts, pastas, drinks, etc. as we walked up and down the aisles of the store. I guess other people were curious too about the store since about 8 more people walked in as we continued our exploration. I ended up grabbing three different sardines and my husband grabbed some instant coffee packets to the as well as Bulgarian Delight, which is similar to Turkish Delight. It's such an interesting store and seems almost misplaced in the city of Alhambra. Lots of interesting packaged and frozen items from mostly Eastern Europe and the Balkans. There were some Italian and German food items. Hamilton is fun to walk through to brag items you wouldn't elsewhere in Los Angeles. Noodles, sodas, wines, coffees, sweets, just random things. This place is going under. No customers. All packaged food. Constantly closed. Just another Alhambra grift on Main Street. I tried to buy ice cream there once. Nasty and rude checkout woman doesn't greet me. Isn't friendly. Super expensive. I ask for a bag. "10 cents." Right. Because now my ice cream is going to melt without the upcharge. Save your money. The clerk was very nice. She was the only one there but was able to help even when on the phone. The store was clean and organized. It didn't feel cramp or too congested. The main reason why I visited was to see if they had kataifi (shredded fillo dough) for the Dubai bar. Yes I'm late on the band wagon, but better late than never! I found it behind all the sheets of dough! I think I got the last box! The selection of chocolate is a dream. I'm so glad I don't have to drive over to East Pasadena to world market for some of these items. I couldn't take a picture but they also have a good selection of Fanta sodas and they have Orangina there. I'll be back for more chocolate! read more

I drove by this market when in the area and found it very interesting. It mainly has Eastern European specialty foods. I am not too familiar with some of these items but enjoy trying new things. They had a vast selection of pates, including vegan pate. I tried a fish pate and some of their crackers, which was tasty. I would be willing to go back to try more things. read more

Hamilton European Market is a great spot for finding imported goods and unique European products you don't normally see in big grocery stores. The selection is solid, the prices are fair, and the staff is generally friendly and helpful. I always enjoy browsing here and usually walk out with something new to try. I'm giving it four stars instead of five because a few times they've closed about half an hour earlier than the posted closing time, which can be inconvenient, and I've occasionally come across items that were past their expiration date. Aside from those issues, it's still a wonderful neighborhood market and definitely worth visiting. read more

A market that is bigger on the inside specializing in European products. Even though we weren't familiar with 99% of these Central/Eastern European brands, the two times we visited Hamilton Euromarket, we were like kids in a candy store, excitedly grabbing and throwing various things into basket, from chocolate biscuits and canned fish, to taramosalata, and fantastical looking bottles of liquor. In an area that is largely asian and Mexican, it's nice to have something a little different. Hamilton is a cute corner store with an small collection of snacks, jarred goodies, pastas, canned fish, sheep cheese, salamis and other goodies. We got a variety of treats from Nutella flavored Kinder Bueno ice cream cones, condensed milk flavored Dadu cheesecake bites, Bananko chocolate, Davidoff instant espresso, Zele fruit snacks, Damla, Tortica chocolate wafer, roasted jarred red pepper, jarred green tomatoes, a spicy eggplant spread, and more. There were so many yummy treats, but in general we just loved exploring and trying different things. My top items were the jarred roasted red peppers that were just slightly vinegary tasting, and the Zele candy. I also love how they have so many single serving treats for under a dollar, so you can try out a bunch of things. I'll definitely be back. read more

The owner is knowledgeable and helpful and is happy to assist you in finding items you're looking for. The store recently opened 3 months ago and is located diagonally across the popular Lunasia dim sum. There are candies, cookies, soup packets, spices, canned goods, refrigerated dairy items, frozen meats like Romanian skinless sausage mici. There's also a dessert freezer with ice cream and popsicles. They already have the Easter bread cozonoc with walnut. Overall, a wonderful market addition to the community. Welcome to the neighborhood Hamilton Euromarket! Previous beauty supply shop and salon that was long been vacant. We were stoked to see new signage and have been impatiently waiting for the grand opening. Opening during Veteran's Day weekend when a lot of people are out celebrating their servicemen and women...smart! The shop offered 5% discount during the first few days of opening. Hamilton is a bright, open market offering smoked meats, sweets, drinks, pastas, sauces, alcohol and a huge variety of cheeses from Eastern Europe. We perused each and every aisle, a couple times if I'm being honest. Tons of options, it was a little hard to choose. We purchased a couple snack food items and beverages. Had a nice conversation with the older gentleman who might be an owner. He explains a couple items in the store and advised that they would be bringing in a lot more inventory. I'm looking forward to discovering a couple authentic Eastern European recipes and coming back to Hamilton to stock up on the ingredients. I have high hopes for Hamilton to be a thriving corner neighborhood market. Especially because it's on my corner ;) read more

Awesome little European market. I'm still on a travel "high" from visiting several Balkan countries so when I found out about this place from a facebook group, I knew I had to beeline over. It is located across the street from Lunasia, on the opposite corner. Theres street parking and a lot in the back. The store is pretty well stocked with a wide variety of European items. Found my spinach and cheese burek (tasted even better than the ones I had in Croatia) and also some cevapi. They had some many types of fruit jams, pastas, condiments, canned fish, milka flavors...tons more. I can't even remember. I was most excited to find the fructal fruit juices. LOVEDDDD THEM. The store owner (I'm guessing) was super sweet. Offered me a piece of her orange chocolate to taste test. They also check on customers while you're browsing to see if you need help with anything. I was once devastated that my puny carryon couldn't fit all the food I wanted to bring back, but this place really made me happy again. I could get a little bit Europe right in my neighborhood. I hope they will last long cause this is where i get all my omega 3/ fat supplements aka tuna/sardines fish cans food. They have variety type of can fish different sauces. Good place with not too bad price. But be aware some of their stuffs are expired while on the shelf like someone mentions. Make sure check the expiration date before you buy. Luckily most of my fish can are new and have far expiration date. read more

It's funny how the owner is trying to say that if the lady is glued to the phone, the store wouldn't be clean and organized. Well, guess what, the store is literally filled with expired items. Left the google review but decided to leave it here as well. We used to love this store and recommend it to everyone. But after we visited this store yesterday, we will no longer visit this place. I had to check expiration date every single time because guess what: beer is expired, salmon appears to be WHITE , literally white! If you check waffles and stuff like that they are almost expired.. such a disappointment! The "hardworking" Asian lady who works there didn't check that milk was placed in the shelf next to dry/canned foods which caused milk to spoil, package is literally puffed up. We tried telling her but she literally didn't care. The owner should be ashamed. It is understandable why he wants to defend his own employee but if you defend them, make sure they actually do their job. She didn't say hi, didn't ask if we need help, ignored our complaint about expired items. For the prices they have there, the least they can do is to have fresh products. If you shop there, MAKE SURE TO CHECK EXPIRATION DATE! I hope they take feedback seriously and will try to improve, otherwise can't imagine them staying in business. read more

Hamilton Euromarket hails from San Jose but they just opened this (2nd? shop) a couple of weeks ago in Alhambra! We were curious what was in this unassuming shop, so we had to drop by - and was so pleasantly surprised by the inventory they have in here! Tons of stuff from all over Europe. If you're looking for teas, candy, drinks, meats, condiments, they have a lot of variety! Each product has a label for where it comes from, and if you want something that isn't offered here, you can ask and email the owner to see if it's something he can get for next time around. I dropped my car off to get serviced nearby and since it was going to take 45 minutes, I decided to take a walk to burn some calories. This store happened to catch my eye so I immediately crossed the street to check it out. At the time I was hoping it would be a Russian and/or Ukrainian market so I wouldn't have to drive to Valley Village to get my Eastern European products however that was not the case. The store is mostly filled with Bosnian foods. From what I could make of it there are also bits of Polish, Russian, Ukrainian and other European foods, the majority of which is imported while some are made in the US. It is a wonderful little store filled with many delights, both savory and sweet, and is totally worth a visit. I'll be back for sure. read more
