I heard about Ebisu Life Store in Alhambra through many social media platforms and decided to check it out. This is such a fun place to explore if you love Japanese snacks, anime merchandise, and cute collectibles. I was surprised to find merchandise here that I saw in Japan last year! That's great that I can buy it locally now instead of flying to Japan to get it. The store is packed with a huge variety of toys and goodies including Sanrio plushies, blind boxes, anime figurines, Gundam models (lots to choose from with various prices), claw machine prizes, character keychains, and gacha collectibles. These gacha collectibles are directly from Bandai machines so you know it is the real thing. In Japan they were around $3 USD per toy but here they do it in tokens and the prices range from $9 - 12. Yikess! Too expensive for me to justify a purchase. They also have tons of Japanese snacks, drinks, skincare products, and stationery, so it feels like a mini trip to Japan. Parking was convenient with nearby free parking available, which made the visit much easier in busy Alhambra. The staff was friendly and the store was very clean and organized. Some makeup samples were avaible to try on, but I decided to pass on this as I am not sure if these areas or samples are frequently cleansed. Definitely a great spot for anime fans, collectors, or anyone looking for unique Japanese gifts and snacks. I will definitely be back to buy goodies for friends and family.

Had to come check it out!

I'm freaking out. The coolness factor of this store is stellar So much awesome stuff from Japan. My jaw dropped onto the floor. If you love Japanese snacks and culture, you've GOT TO check this place out. Just keep your shopping in check. Easy to drop a load of cash quickly. But you'll be smiling while you do. I miss Japan. Ebisu Life Store is one of those places you walk into "just to look" and somehow leave with a basket full of things you suddenly need. The selection is so good--everything from cute Japanese snacks to household items, stationery, and random little finds you didn't even know existed but now can't live without. It's giving organized chaos in the best way. The prices are super reasonable, especially for imported goods, and everything feels thoughtfully curated instead of overwhelming. You can tell they really lean into that authentic Japanese convenience store vibe. Also, if you're into aesthetic little things (stickers, pens, packaging, snacks that are too cute to open)... yeah, you're gonna lose self-control in here. Staff is friendly, checkout is quick, and the whole store just has a fun, low-pressure vibe.

The good: This was a nice refuge from the heat but also an amazing store full of snacks, toys, and Asian goodies (mostly Japanese). I got Hello Kitty crackers here, knock-off Oreos in caramel flavor and Pretz pretzel sticks (a toddler favorite). They sell beauty products as well. The bad: It's street parking mostly. Since we came during a festival, parking was blocked off in this area. The interesting: They had a huge arrangement of all the fruit-shaped ice cream flavors for $5.99 each. I think it's $8-10 for 4 if you get them at H-mart but they did have more exclusive flavors here than the average market. They had lots of anime figurines on display. I am not sure if they were for sale but you're not allowed to touch them (they should have a glass cover for them because I had to really ensure my toddlers didn't run toward there to touch all of them). They have a few locations in the US but they are also in Japan.

Great selection, friendly staff. We got Lulu blind boxes and they were well priced and good selection.

This store is very unique and has selections of items you can't find elsewhere! Ebisu Life Store specializes in Asian (mainly Japanese) goods like snacks, drinks, skincare products, blind boxes, figurines, and more! I come here often to try snack flavors I've never had before! Their blind boxes are also reasonably priced, and they have a wide selection. Although some of their other products can be a bit more expensive than usual, they usually have some good sales. Overall fun store to visit! There's also gacha machines in the back!

This place had me in awe of all the crazy imported items to snack on from Asia. Where can you ever find century old egg flavored potato chips? Or peach flavored Fanta!? They have tons of mystery boxes for those who are searching and beauty products that were all in a foreign language. If you spend 100 bucks with is quite easy.. you get 5 bucks VIP dollars. Go!

This place was awesome. It can also hurt your pocket because of all the goodies inside! So many different snacks and collectibles! We bought some modeling kits down the street and we didnt want to enter the location without letting them know we paid for it already and it didnt come from them. We flagged someone down and they gave each of our kits a "paid" sticker. I will be back.

They have everything From daily skincare essentials to unique kids' necessities, plus drinks, desserts, snacks, stationery, and blind boxes -- they've got it all covered. The place used to be a supermarket, so imagine how huge and fun this space is! The claw machines add even more fun Perfect spot for a weekend family chill day IG: socalhkfoodies

Ebisu Life Store is such a fun place to browse. If you enjoy Japanese home goods, snacks, and unique finds you didn't even know you needed, this shop is definitely worth stopping by. ::Experience:: The store is bright, well organized, and easy to walk through. Each section feels thoughtfully put together, from kitchen items to stationery and small lifestyle goods. It's the kind of place where you come in for one item and end up discovering a lot more. ::Products:: They have a great selection of Japanese household items, kitchenware, snacks, beauty products, and seasonal finds. Everything feels practical yet cute, and many items aren't easy to find elsewhere. It's a great place to pick up gifts or little treats for yourself. ::Customer Service:: The staff was welcoming. ::Tips:: - Garage parking available

The store is huge; they literally have everything. It was clean inside, and the prices were reasonable.

If you like Japanese snacks or anime, I would highly recommend this place. They have a wide variety of snacks from Japan (kitkats, Pocky, even Shin-Chan's favorite snack!) as well as everyday products like cosmetics, skincare items, household goods, and kitchenware. In addition, they have a claw machine section around the corner. Prices are mixed. Some items are reasonably priced, while others are quite expensive. However, they do offer some really good deals on items with shorter expiration dates. The store is clean and well-organized. There is also a parking structure right next to the building and a lot of street parking around the area.

Located off W Main St. in Alhambra. Parking can be tough is this area is mainly street parking there are some parking garages but check the signs and area as well as the street parking as well. This place is cool though it has anime stuff and toys, an arcade with claw machines, snacks like a convenience store , beauty supplies, cooking stuff and stationary. I mean to me it's definitely a store or shop you'll see in Japan. Overall a great store lots to see and buy lol.

Cute store, daughter likes the Kawaii stuff, and snacks and drinks are unique, but rude employee, specially the guy with glasses.

The place has been around quite some time and kids do tend to make a mess, but they keep up after it. Parking is for a fee, but sometimes you get a game card that comes with the parking. It can get crowded in the summer and on weekends. We go on week days and have been several times. Now, the prices in here add up fast so be mindful of that, but it is the same as other similar places. Miniature golf is about 16$, a go kart is about 12$, the arcade can really add up so get a card that you can use for the wide variety of games they have. The bumper boats and Disk Thrill Ride are about 12$ per person. We love their little train and that is about 5$. You can get a two hour wrist band and we do that and save a lot that way. All in all the prices are fair. The service there is nice and the place has a lot to offer, you don't have to do it all. There is a lot to do. They also have Birthday Parties there and that is great. It is super fun.

You're not cramped in here fighting for space. Game-wise... don't come here expecting anything crazy. There's nothing super serious for hardcore gamers, no rare cabinets or anything you're gonna geek out over. It's more like solid, familiar stuff. That said, it does work really well as a date spot because there's a lot of co-op games, so you're not just standing there awkwardly -- you actually have something to do. Now the food... I still haven't gone deep into it, but the wing deal is actually a good deal for these times, which is rare. That alone makes it worth pulling up on a Tuesday. Menu is kinda big though, and anytime I see a big menu like that I start side-eyeing the kitchen a little bit... like yeah some of this gotta be frozen But overall? It's a good spot for wings and beer without spending Ye Rustic money. If you're trying to keep it chill and not blow your wallet, this is a solid move. Not a gamer spot, not a foodie spot... just a good hang.
