Ebisu Life Store is an all-in-one Japanese lifestyle store and it opened the first two stores in Flushing and Denver in 2021. Think of this store as a steroid version of Daiso and MINISO. They are currently rapidly expanding across 20+ states plus Washington, DC. As of April 2026, there is another location in Anaheim and another location in Rancho Cucamonga. [Parking]: There is a free indoor parking garage behind the store. [Merchandise]: Plushies, blind boxes, claw machines, anime-themed utensils / cups / mugs, body care products, clothing accessories, Japanese snacks, Gundam figures, etc. They place a strong focus on Sanrio characters. The plushies in the claw machines were not as impressive as their blind box selection, but it only costs 1 coin per play ($1 per coin). There is also a display of anime action figures near the store entrance. [Gift card]: Load $100 and get a $5 bonus. Load $300 and get a $20 bonus. Load $500 and get a $50 bonus. There is also an exclusive membership that earns 1 point for every $1 spent. Redeem 50 points for $1 in savings. [Conclusion]: I like Ebisu Life Store much better than Daiso and MINISO as I get the best of both worlds in one shop. I would not recommend trying the claw machines here as all 5 of my attempts ($1 per attempt) failed miserably. read more

I heard about Ebisu Life Store in Alhambra through many social media platforms and decided to check it out. This is such a fun place to explore if you love Japanese snacks, anime merchandise, and cute collectibles. I was surprised to find merchandise here that I saw in Japan last year! That's great that I can buy it locally now instead of flying to Japan to get it. The store is packed with a huge variety of toys and goodies including Sanrio plushies, blind boxes, anime figurines, Gundam models (lots to choose from with various prices), claw machine prizes, character keychains, and gacha collectibles. These gacha collectibles are directly from Bandai machines so you know it is the real thing. In Japan they were around $3 USD per toy but here they do it in tokens and the prices range from $9 - 12. Yikess! Too expensive for me to justify a purchase. They also have tons of Japanese snacks, drinks, skincare products, and stationery, so it feels like a mini trip to Japan. Parking was convenient with nearby free parking available, which made the visit much easier in busy Alhambra. The staff was friendly and the store was very clean and organized. Some makeup samples were avaible to try on, but I decided to pass on this as I am not sure if these areas or samples are frequently cleansed. Definitely a great spot for anime fans, collectors, or anyone looking for unique Japanese gifts and snacks. I will definitely be back to buy goodies for friends and family. read more

It's a fun store but you can find more than half the stuff on Temu or AliExpress for waaaaay cheaper. If you don't have time to find a gift then this is your place. They do have Korean and Japanese skincare but like the gifts, you can find them cheaper elsewhere. Parking is shared with 85 degree Bakery. Honestly what we need instead of this store is a genuine small Japanese market or a large one like Tokyo Central but at a different location. read more

The good: This was a nice refuge from the heat but also an amazing store full of snacks, toys, and Asian goodies (mostly Japanese). I got Hello Kitty crackers here, knock-off Oreos in caramel flavor and Pretz pretzel sticks (a toddler favorite). They sell beauty products as well. The bad: It's street parking mostly. Since we came during a festival, parking was blocked off in this area. The interesting: They had a huge arrangement of all the fruit-shaped ice cream flavors for $5.99 each. I think it's $8-10 for 4 if you get them at H-mart but they did have more exclusive flavors here than the average market. They had lots of anime figurines on display. I am not sure if they were for sale but you're not allowed to touch them (they should have a glass cover for them because I had to really ensure my toddlers didn't run toward there to touch all of them). We bought some modeling kits down the street and we didnt want to enter the location without letting them know we paid for it already and it didnt come from them. Being a self-proclaimed Japan-o-phile, I was getting Japan withdrawals after my recent trip to Japan and stumbled upon this spot after researching Japanese markets. While this spot isn't really a supermarket, they do have tons of Japanese snacks, drinks, and goods here albeit with a little mark up, which is expected. It almost feels like a mini Don Quijote as they carry a wide range of goods including various Japanese hygiene products, snacks, candies, ice cream, drinks, alcohol, toys, blind boxes, crane machines, and other goodies. My kids love to come here for the snacks. They are priced on the pricier side though and they are not consistent in what candies they carry. So it can be hit or miss. They're not exactly like the ones from Japan, but they are quite similar, and I really enjoyed them. My first impression of the store was excellent. My friend and girlfriend were hanging out in downtown Alhambra and I was like we have to go to this store! There's a lot of Japanese snacks here, anime figurines, claw machines , blind boxes, drinks, liquor, and much more! They had a special promotion here that if you spend a certain amount of money, I believe it was at least $60 worth you get to draw from a raffle. We didn't notice until the cashier told us. It was hilarious because we got some prizes where we decided not to get. Claw machines were at least 2+ tokens to play and the gashapons started at 7+. One token = $1. Cash only to get tokens. The place is a Japanese lover paradise because it has just about everything you could possilby want from games and toys to drinks and ice cream to beauty products. However, this place could seriously makee a dent in your wallet. Bright and well-organized, you can definitely browse here for a good hour just looking at all the exotic snacks and beauty products on display. While a lot of things had English tags on them for explanations, some didn't and I was puzzled at times on what this thing was in my hand. The collection of anime figurines on the wall across from the registers are not on sale, so sorry collectors. Still, this place is a neat way to kill an hour or two just looking at all the exotic stuff you can't find in a Japanese market. Parking is around the corner on S 3rd Street underneath the building and is free. I highly suggest if you don't iive in the area to eat your ice cream there. There's a parking structure beside the building. The store looks so organize and neat. You can see a section with all the vending machines. One coin costs $1.00. There are a lot of unique items that I saw here like the Starbucks instant powdered drinks, KitKats, mini figurines, etc. There are also some displays (for photo ops) like Pikachu, Doraemon, the guys from Dragonball Z, etc. Great customer service too! This store has been popping up on my feed pretty frequently and I finally got the chance to visit. Unfortunately, I don't really think this place is worth the visit. The store carries a variety of things like snacks, skincare/beauty, hobby collectibles, and a small arcade area. While it all looks great, it's overpriced. The discounted items aren't really cheap either. I'll admit that it was pretty cool to at least look around, but I'd find these items at a better price at DuoDuo or ResCo. My husband found this place on Instagram and we decided to check it out today. It was fairly easy to find and had plenty of parking. It seems to have recently opened as some of the aisles are still being stocked up but you can tell they're taking their time to organize all the products really nicely. We were hoping to find some of the viral fruit ice creams but had no luck although they had some interesting snacks I had never seen before. This store has a variety of home products, cosmetics and skincare, snacks, beverages, toys, stationary, baby products and just random, unique, and fun finds. They didn't have a large food section like H Mart, but they had plenty of unique sweets and a large selection of beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic (coffee, soda, etc.). What a fun store! I love a foreign grocery store. This one is like a cross between Daiso and I don't know what. They had candy, sake, sodas, snacks, ice cream, pens & pencils, stickers, Hello Kitty & Pokémon bowls and plates and a whole wall of skincare products, a whole aisle hair dye, stuffed animals, Anime characters and a side of about 20 Gotcha capsule game machines. What a pleasant surprise! This definitely feels like a million Japanese products under a single roof! Yet, well organized, aisles are spacious and they even played Japanese music to boot! The gachapons and claw machines easily kept my kids entertain while I enjoyed some peaceful shopping through all the aisles. I can seriously spend a few hours in here, this store has everything to fill your home, except furniture and full sized kitchen appliances. I would say maybe half the products in the store can also be found in your local japanese grocery store but the other products you can't find are amazing! They sell few variety of kit kat. Not a big selection but so thankful they have some! $15 each per box and i bought several. It's expensive but better than flying there and filling up your limited suitcase space when you can't just get it here. They sell japanese cosmetics as well. Surprised to find pokemon hand cream cause i only saw them at the poke center in japan. They sell bunch of charms, keychain, anime figures as well. Came across this wonderful store while in the area. Glad I discovered this place. If you are a fan of any cute Japanese products, this is the place to be. There is a parking lot behind the store, which is nice, and it is shaded. There are two entrances to the store, one in the front (street side), and one from the parking structure, which is perfect. I am very impressed with the selections here. They got everything. They have toys, figurines, drinks, snacks, personal items, kitchen wares, ice creams, make-ups items, and they even have an area dedicated to the claw machines. The store is bright and clean. You are free to roam around and browse all you like. Staffs do not bother you, unless you have questions. I really enjoyed the experience while I was here with my family.
