All in all, its a beautifully put together historical account of the native peoples in the area, their struggle, their acheivements. Everyone in there is simply polite. The museum is put together very elegantly. Its a diamond in the rough in that area. The presentations, information, and displays were so artfully presented. I would say, if you are in the area, then pay this gem a visit.

It felt like they assumed we came to a cultural museum to start trouble, which is a very weird assumption for people coming to a cultural museum. I'm typically understanding of staff being tired/frustrated because guests can be entitled and disrespectful ,but we were met with rude comments from the start. During our Temecula visit, we wanted to check out a museum or artsy attraction. Searching Google, I…read morestumbled upon the Ricardo Breceda Art Gallery; a collection of metal sculptures. The gallery is located 16 miles east of Interstate 15 on the 79. Not hidden, but a mini adventure drive to get there. Once you are close, you will see silhouettes of dinosaurs and other creatures along the hillside and you are there. Enter a world of welded art creations of all sorts. I wasn't sure about parking when I arrived, but I accidentally drove into the gate. Luckily I turned around and noticed that parking was just all the gravel in front (unmarked). Not sure what to expect, there were two gentlemen under a shaded tent welding together more metal art. One of them was Mr. Breceda. Super friendly guy, and welcoming. The land is decorated with literally hundreds of art structures from hand size to dinosaur size. They range from anything from historical figures on horses to transformers. The entry fee is only $10 and ricardo even gives you a gift. This place is so cool and worth the visit.

I mentioned that the weather will be very warm not quite as hot as it can be during the summer. It was a steady at 94° and reached up to 97°. We went during the month of May. So if you don't do well in the heat I suggest visiting in early spring or during the fall. This would be a great place to take someone who is visiting from out of town or from another country. The sculptures are pretty spectacular. We didn't get to visit all of the sculptures, but enjoy taking photos of the ones we were able to get to. With the sculptures being far apart from each other it's great for photos because you won't see the other ones in the background. I think it's a great place to visit and to get some fun pictures afterwards you can visit the town which has a few restaurants in shopping stops. There's also a museum in town that would be cool to check out. I will be out here in November camping. I went camping here last November and the weather was very windy and we had a beautiful storm for one day with rainbows shining everywhere last year. It was beautiful. I look forward to coming back to this area.

The building is mid century with terrazzo floors and detailed outside shutters. The gift shop includes the original bank vault. I saw some items that I didn't see in the main museum shop. My family and I attended the opening performance of the historic play, Ramona yesterday afternoon…read more They bragged a great deal about a new director they have employed for this season, but we believe he didn't do the show or the tradition any favors. Rather than the historically accurate and moving drama of the past, the new director seems to have changed the act into one heavily permeated with frivolity and foolishness. There was a great deal of what he called native dancing that was nothing more than many kids simply kicking their feet in the air. And the girl they have playing Ramona this season does not sing well yet they had her struggling to carry a tune more than once. The show was lightly attended, and I doubt that it will do much better for the few performances remaining.

What a cool experience walking through this air museum and seeing planes from different eras,…read moreincluding a stealth bomber, with the kids. It's both fun and educational, and there is a lot to take in. My one tip is to give yourself plenty of time to explore. We showed up about an hour before closing and easily could have spent a few more hours walking around, taking photos, and learning the history. I believe it's $25 a person, but it's so worth it. To start, everyone working here is extremely kind and passionate about what they do. We were greeted with big smiles and directions telling us where we'd want to start off. The museum itself is amazing. There is so much history here and it's amazing to think about what these aircraft's were apart of prior to their retirement. I think you could easily spend a few hours here! We will definitely be back, if you're in the area be sure to check this place out!
