This is a letter I wrote to Dr. Jung. It pretty much sums it up:…read more September 1st 2011 Dear Dr. Jung, It all began in September of 2010. I noticed my right foot started to go to sleep. Over the next year it increased to my other foot, up my legs, all the way up my spine and into my head. It felt like a vice on my head, creating numbness on my chin and into my ears. I was getting vertigo so bad that I couldn't do my normal day to day activities. My only relief was lying in bed and not moving my neck or head at all. I first went to my primary care doctor and she sent me for x-rays. She also sent me to see a neurologist. The neurologist then sent me for an MRI. After the neurologist evaluated my MRI and x-rays he sent me to physical therapy. I followed his instructions and completed 6 weeks of physical therapy and it did more harm than good. My primary care doctor sent me again to another doctor. This time it was a neurosurgeon. He also examined my MRI and x-rays and told me to go back to my doctor, continue taking my medications, which were making me sick, and to just persevere. When I asked him if my neck was causing any of my symptoms he said "No." At this point I was devastated. My primary care doctor had to put me on blood pressure medication and anxiety pills because my entire nervous system was under stress. This had affected my whole being. A close family friend who had both been a patient of yours as well as worked for you urged me to come and see you. I had been apprehensive in the past about chiropractic but was willing to try anything to improve my quality of life. My primary care doctor was also apprehensive. However; after my first appointment with you, you offered to write my doctor a letter about treatment. She was so impressed with your letter. She said all of the questions she would have asked you were explained in the letter and told me "by all means go see Dr. Jung." Not only were her questions answered but so were mine. In our initial consultation you looked at my MRI and x-rays and found the problem immediately. You showed me on the films where and what it was. It was right there on the films. My primary care doctor never saw the actual films just the reports, but I can't for the sake of God understand why those two other doctors never addressed the problem you have been able to fix. I started treatment in your office in January 2011. We had our ups and downs, but improvement started coming and I knew that when the curvature was corrected it would all be better. The first improvement I felt was with the vertigo. Then the numbness in my chin and ears started to fade. Before coming to your office the nerve endings in my shoulders were so damaged that they would make my whole body shake. But as we ventured down our long journey I began to see more and more improvement. Getting my head back over my shoulders proved to be more taxing, but we got where I needed to be! You helped me to not get discouraged and to stick with treatment. It's amazing the difference this has made on my life. Dr. Jung I can't thank you enough for giving me my life back. I really do feel like you have saved my life. My condition was so horrible because it affected my body, my emotions, and my whole life. You are a wonderful and kind person on top of being a great Doctor. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me regain my life.

My experience during an OWCP second opinion evaluation with Dr. Welborn was extremely disappointing…read moreand left me with serious concerns about the thoroughness and accuracy of the examination. I arrived prepared with medical records, imaging history, surgical information, restrictions, and documentation regarding bilateral hip injuries and recovery. I attempted to explain the chronology of my injury progression, compensation history, surgeries, rehabilitation delays, and ongoing limitations. I did not feel those concerns were meaningfully considered. Several statements and conclusions in the final report do not reflect what I reported during the examination and I dispute them. The report also contained conclusions regarding restrictions and work capacity that conflict with my treating providers and ongoing rehabilitation status. I was especially concerned by findings suggesting no left hip restrictions despite continued recovery, bilateral rehabilitation issues, and ongoing treatment. The examination felt rushed, and I left feeling that conclusions had already been formed before my full history and records were considered. Patients deserve a careful review, an opportunity to explain their condition, and an evaluation that accurately reflects what occurred during the appointment. This was one of the most frustrating medical evaluation experiences I have had. AVOID this Doctor at all cost. He is arrogant and unprofessional. His examination of my hips left me with pain and discomfort from aggressively manipulating my leg for his FADIR test. My treating surgeon Dr. Sean Robinson is very respected in his profession with only 5 star reviews. He is hands down an outstanding surgeon who is very knowledgeable. It's unfortunate Dr. Welborn made in visit comments like "The surgeries don't seem successful if you still have pain" or "I would've been disappointed if I were you." His report to deny my consequential injury is false, inaccurate and misleading. I don't know if he is contracted to deny cases but this is outright negligent.

Their auto text and email send me at least a dozen or more reminders and confirmations. They wanted me to email them my health insurance card, and when I tried, it kept giving me an error message. I Called the owner, and he said oh yeah, we have been having trouble, just bring it with you. When I got there, I gave them the card while I completed an intake form. When they found out I was on Medicare, they wouldn't honor the promotion even if I paid cash for the treatment. They don't want you as a patient unless they can really bang your health insurance. The doctor is methodical and the treatment plan is clear with milestones. We are in "maintenance " and still go every two weeks so we can keep our bodies healthy for our activities (he is a golfer and I am a walker 5k+).
