Went there for some pressure treated 2x4 lumber thinking it has to be better quality than what I could get at HD/Lowes. Wrong, I picked through a pile of junk all stamped with "#1 Select". A week later I looked through what Lowes had to offer and it was much better. Buyer beware, don't assume this place is good just because it is a lumber yard. read more

Went in to get estimate on new exterior door. We didn't have any measurements, so Rick gave us an estimate with some standard measurements that he plugged into the computer. He said that once we got the measurements of the door, we would have to come back and put down a deposit. I asked if we could do all that over the phone, but apparently they lack the technology to take a credit card number and door measurements over the phone? So we went back in with the original quote in hand (with the correct measurements written in ink on the quote) and gave him the measurements. He said he'd update the information and order the door. It would be delivered in a few weeks. We gave him our deposit and left, and the door was delivered. Hired a gentleman to install it for us, and he came by and removed the old door, then went to install the new one, but it was not the correct size; it was too small. He asked what we wanted to do and I asked if he would be able to retrofit the opening to accommodate the new door. He said he could, but would need more supplies, which he went out and purchased. (No, we couldn't have returned the door as it was "special order", and we had a door size opening in our garage now, and it would take several weeks to get a door in the correct size-you know, the one we thought we ordered?-since this is New England, and it was November, we didn't want the garage open to the elements, so we told him to go ahead and install it). It ended up costing us an additional $200 because of the additional materials and labor. Called Brock's and asked them if they could cover the difference of $200. They said no, because we had signed the order form. The order form showed that he was ordering us a 2/8 X 6/8 door. I asked if those were the new measurements, and was told yes. So I assumed that a 2/8x6/8 door was what we needed, and I also stupidly assumed that they knew what they were doing when they placed the order. This is why we went there in the first place, as they have been in business forever, and have lots of experience. So we went in and spoke to Connie, the manager, and she said she would look into it. I got a phone call back saying they would give us a check for $50. I explained that it cost us an extra $200 for a mistake that they made, but they felt it was my mistake because I signed an order form that was incorrect. Since I'm not a carpenter, and assumed a 2/8 door was correct, as was stated to us, I signed. Bottom line, they felt they did nothing wrong. And here's the thing; Rick had given us a card for one of their designers, as we were going to be renovating our kitchen and wanted them to do it for us. A job worth thousands of dollars to Brock's. But in their penny-wise, pound-foolish way of thinking, it was worth more to them to deny us $200, than it was to keep our business. read more

I had an addition done on my house in Ossipee, New Hampshire.and i can't say enough about the service and advise i received at Brocks. Evan the contractor was someone they referred was excellant and made the building experience fun watching the new work unfold week to week. the quality of materials were first class and Brocks also provided the structural engineer that was need for the roof design . All and all i had a very pleasant experience with this company and will do more with them in the future read more

I ordered carpet for 2 rooms. The installer came and said I only have carpet for one room. My husband and I decided to take our business elsewhere. I am very disappointed in the quality of the carpet I had installed. Brock's I give you 1/2 a star! I feel for your installer. read more

Brock's Building Supply delivered some lumber.. They ended up running over my mailbox and my neighbor's mailbox and my neighbors newspaper box with a 40 ton truck..Instead of fixing it RIGHT..They "mickey mouse" fixed it..Calling me a liar saying my post wasn't concreted in (I installed in originally 11 yrs ago)..Instead of installing the new poles that were in back of the Brocks pick up truck..They used the same poles that were run over by the 40 to truck...Long story short..I had to make it RIGHT..New everything, and concrete cost me $115..Beacuse of this Ill never do business with them..Disgusting.. read more

Very disappointed with my experience. Had purchased materials for new metal roof shortly after beginning a new job, and did not review my quoted bill of materials before purchasing due to stress. That was my fault. They ordered EXACTLY the amount needed to cover the roof, with 0 backup panels. Every panel needed to be cut to fit, and No touch-up paint was provided to seal the fresh cut edges. One piece of trim was an entirely different color, and no panel layout plan was given. they were NOT DIY friendly in the least. I will be going with a different supplier to finish the rest of my property. read more

Brock's installed 2 bathrooms, both the same size. They measured both and upon installation I found they over estimated one by 40% then refused to take it back saying there is no returns on special orders, even though it was their mistake!! I also ordered cabinets to match some I purchased from them that were on display. The new cabinets were a completely different color. It took me 3 months to convince them of their error. They said they would order new ones, now 7 months later, I still don't have the correct cabinets!! Connie the owner, has yet to pick up the phone to call me to try and rectify this. STAY AWAY! They are only interested in getting their money and have no sense of customer appreciation. read more

VERY disappointed with Brock's and I DEFINITELY won't be going back! I redid my bathrooms and was told to have one of their professionals come out to take measurements b/c if there were any errors it would be on them instead of me. Well, not so much! My wall outlets weren't taken into consideration when taking measurements and now I have to pay an electrician to move the outlets. The Brock's "professional" should have taken into consideration everything in my bathrooms when taking measurements. That's a rookie error! Somehow this is not Brock's error and they won't give me any refund. I would have been better off taking the measurements myself! read more
