Hamper is awesome! I remember the old days when I'd have to drive through rush hour traffic to either drop off or pick up laundry from a brick & mortar store. Hamper does all that for you, and picks up / drops off to the location most convenient for you (whether that's your house or office). Nijoel is really friendly and always engages in some small talk when picking up or dropping off clothes, and Safir is really thoughtful and detail-oriented as well. I question whether they even dry cleaned my clothings!! As shown in the pictures, stains still remain on many of my dresses. On the white dress, I was able to quickly wash off the stain with just water! They probably did not even wash that dress! It's one thing to not be able to remove stains, but it's another to not even send an apology or explanation for their failure. This is completely unacceptable. Also, some of the dresses are still wrinkled, which makes me wonder if they even pressed the dresses! What did they do exactly other than pick up and deliver the dresses back to me and then charged me? read more

UPDATE: Hamper finally responded (probably after seeing this review) with a completely condescending, snarky text, accusing me of putting my own cashmere sweater in the wash. Imagine getting a text from the owner saying: "there is absolutely no way garments can shrink in dry cleaning (that's kind of the whole point of getting garments dry cleaned.)" So.... I guess between the time the clothes were worn, sent to Hamper and then returned, they just magically shrank all on their own!! Of course it wasn't their cleaning process, where my clothes even SMELLED BURNT FOR A WEEK. They are magically shrinking clothes!  Obviously this owner couldn't care less about his customers or reputation. I sent videos of me trying on the too-small blazer, photos comparing the silk blouse to an identical style/size blouse, demonstrating that it is several sizes smaller. I even said I was willing to try on the blazer for the owner in person! Their response? Radio silence. No call, no text, NO RESPONSE. They haven't even refunded what I paid for their service! I moved to Houston from NYC not too long ago. It is stressful to find professional service providers to trust and this was my first dry cleaning experience here. My trust has been eroded and this has been an incredibly anxiety-provoking experience. I will be filing in small claims court to recover some of the $1000+ that the garments cost me. Great customer service, they picked up and dropped off exactly as promised. However, they do misrepresent their prices when you place the order. I had 3 dresses, which per their online and even order estimate were 6.99 each for dry cleaning. However, what they don't tell you, is that they can change this price if they think the dress is too long or has too much material. (One of mine was a normal dress, but a midi in length). So that doubled the prices for 2 of my dresses and they don't inform you if they do that until it's delivery. I think this company is great for convenience but I would not use them again due to their deceptive billing practices. read more

Horrible service for wash and fold. All the clothes come back wrinkled and full of "white dust" on the clothes. False advertising for wash n fold service which is "we fold your laundry and return it neatly folded and stacked!" The dirty clothes I gave to them was in a better folding than what I received. And perhaps looked cleaner without all the white dust on. Your services was running out of laundry sheet or what? Extremely disappointed. read more

Finally a good landry service. This is the one. No, for real. From start to finish it was a pleasant experience. The online system had an issue, however the customer service was so spectacular that the staff walked me through it (without hesitation). Sean took my initial call and explained everything in detail regarding what to expect. He sold me on the service within seconds. He shared everything from the type of bag, scents and detergent used to the turn around time. He even listened to my fears about trying out a new place and assured me they would take proper care of items. Nijoel, picked up and dropped off my clothes. Wow! I just got my first completed order from Hamper, and I don't think I can go back to regular dry cleaning shops. They pick up, launder/dry clean, and deliver your clothes for the nearly the same price as going to a standard shop. I just felt the overall experience with Hamper was much more positive than the experiences I've had with other laundry service companies. I'll definitely be using them again! The service has been great and the costs are comparable. There is 4.99 charge for the service and a minimum of $25 for the order. But I love the convenience and fact the driver just picks up the garments from the front door which makes it contactless. The dry cleaning has been great, and they put buttons for free (which is an added plus). The texts are informative and help me keep track of when the driver is coming for pick-up. I would give zero stars if I could. I signed up for the service. I included my address, phone number and everything else on their website. I haven't received a $10 coupon. I scheduled a pick up service and waited for them to show up. About an hour into their "show up window," I got a text message saying hey we are running behind; we will be there soon. I responded with thanks. After another half hour, I received a silly message stating "Hi Bibi, this is Sean with Hamper! We just noticed that you're out by Katy and we no longer service that area since we only service inside the loop. My apologies about that." If you no longer service Katy, why didn't you indicate that on your website. Why was I allowed to schedule a service? And why did you text me stating that you are running behind? I am not one to usually write reviews, but I absolutely LOVED my experience with Hamper this week. I was looking on Yelp for nearby alteration shops for me & my husband's jeans that both had a hole in them & stumbled upon Hamper. I clicked the 'request quote' button on their page & within literally minutes, the owner personally messaged me with helpful answers & price estimates for our clothing items. They were super reasonably priced & definitely comparable to other quotes I was receiving from nearby local alteration stores, BUT Hamper picks up & then delivers the clothes to you making it totally hassle free. Nijoel & Jacob had excellent customer service & communication. We don't use dry cleaners very often, but whenever we need to next, we will for sure be using Hamper!!! The first and only time I used Hamper for my dry cleaning/laundry service they "lost" around 8 button down shirts which were never recovered. At the beginning they were responsive and I thought that at the very least they would work with me to resolve the issue, but now after months have passed it has been radio silence. I have not been able to get a response or update regarding my missing items. I will not be using Hamper again due to their poor customer service and handling of this issue. read more
