What a nostalgic blast from the past to enjoy a smaller venue on the water! I do have to say I knew nothing about this place until catching a pair of Clint Black tickets and making the trip. Quick online search and this has been a venue for many notables over the years and sad to say this venue will be demolished in the fall of 2026 for replacement of a newer facility. Sometimes the good things have to come to an end to make way for progress! Staff was quick for processing through for entry, seating was mainly fold out chairs on main floor, some high tops and bar seating towards the back. The concerts here are always a blast. Small venue, you can get really close to the artists as all tickets are general admission. The mixed drinks are typically NOT good, I opt for something in a can. Service is always quick, bathrooms are clean. Only downside is I have been to several concerts here and there is ALWAYS at least one fight. Security is usually quick but I always feel bad for the children/teens that are there. I wouldn't bring kids to this venue. read more

Bravo, HBCB! Attended the Jo Dee Messina concert last night and had a great time! The line to get in moved incredibly quick, there was staff everywhere helping people find their seats. I was VERY pleasantly surprised by the new(to me) massive fans on the ceiling, I'm always hot, but not last night! Badfish concert was so fun. Ive seen many great concerts here. Security is hit or miss. Sometimes theyre jerks, sometimes theyre ok. Venue has a smoking area outside down a staircase. Weird no drinks in the bathrooms policy but literally no where to set down a drink besides the dance floor. Very odd setup. No free parking options that i know of. read more

We recently saw a show at the Hampton Beach Ballroom. The entrance is kind of hidden away in a row of storefronts. Once inside it's really big and a very cool spot that's been there since the '70s. This may sounds strange but the thing I appreciated the most about the venue was that it had a wood floor which was a much appreciated break from cement floors at shows. The concession prices while not cheap, weren't crazy expensive, and the bathrooms clean. One thing I will say is that there was a strange vibe. It was pretty fun in the circle / push pit, folks were cool and there were no crowd killers. There were also a bunch of soccer parents that you know rage in the car to Fred Durst hahaha. It was an interesting mix. For part of the show I was towards the rail and security did a very good job of pulling aggressive people out that were rushing the stage through people and their kids. It was super packed. I'd go back to see a show here. read more

I came upon her curled up in the fetal position on the floor in front of the bar to the left of the entrance. She was immobile and curled in tightly. Not one fucking casino employee opted to intervene! This young teen could have been dragged off by anyone for nefarious reasons. I sat with her for ten minutes before her incompetent parent finally showed up. Ten minutes? What the fuck is the policy in this shit hole? You let fourteen year old girls lay around on the floor and no one comes to help? Yall gonna get fucked on your insurance premiums over this one" Then a half hour later I see the mother coming out of the crowd and I ask about the daughter and she says she's fine in The pit! Husband & I went to see the AC/DC Experience last night. This was our first time at the Casino Ballroom. It is very organized! Staff are guiding you through entering so you know exactly where to go. There are plenty of staff also helping with finding your seats. The seats are not your typical metal fold downs, they are nice & padded (not that you'll be sitting once the show starts!) amazing fog/lights for the show. Food & drinks are available. We only got a Diet Coke while there & it was $6. They sell merch as well. Two exits to leave. Also parking behind the casino was $20. Overall great experience & we will now look for more shows to see there! read more

Went to the Mitchell Tenpenny concert on Thursday. First time there. All of the staff working the event were amazing. Band obviously was OUT OF THIS WORLD! But a special shout out to a lady working security out near the windows, I believe her name was Nancy (short blonde hair) so kind & caring! I had an unfortunate family emergency happen, and she allowed me to pop out to door and contact my mother while she watched over my drink. Enjoyed the band. Venue was good from any angle. Think next show I will get general admission- it was a nice view from the front with freedom to move around - basic bar seats. I am writing to simply explain the "Big ass fans" they use to keep the temp cool. The entire show I felt like I was under a turbine windmill, it was ok for about 30 mins- then my eyes hurt and I was freezing the entire show. This was the seat I paid $240 per v.i.p ticket to see Aaron Lewis tonight, and never actually got to see him perform due to the audience that stood through the entire performance. Gone way downhill since Covid. Security consists of a bunch of teenagers too invested in their phones and not on the safety and security of the patrons. They don't seem to have any training whatsoever. During intermission the other night, I watched 4 people sneak in through the smoking area. None of the security even noticed. After seeing that, I'll never buy another ticket, when I can hop over the barrier. Great Venue I love the whole setup. Dark lighting, old school playhouse atmosphere. Great sound and intimacy. Comfortable seating with waitstaff, easy access to the bar. Very affordable drink prices. One of the best venues to watch a show in New England. Tip: Don't buy the expensive tickets, you don't need them. Extremely dissatisfied, not only with the venue but with management. I tried to deal with the Casino by email but they decided to stop responding. Be very careful if you choose this venue to see an artist. Seated options in particular. I followed the chart. Selected what I thought would be good seats in the middle of a section. When I arrived I found out we were the first row on an isle. All night people continued to walk by. It was like watching the show through a slow strobe. Asked to be moved, asked to speak to management, asked for a refund. No response. This venue does not care about the customer experience. They only care about keeping your money. I have been to this venue many, many times. Always had a great experience. It's not the same at all. I believe it's under different ownership. The staff is not friendly. I tripped and fell down unlit stairs and took a hard fall. Not one staff member asked if I was ok. The owner is nearly impossible to get in touch with. The website lists one phone for the box office, no customer service or email. They claim because the website was hacked. A night out with my s/o has turned into days of missed work. Eddie Money was fantastic but not the total experience. 32 days later it was discovered I got a mild concussion from the fall. read more

I've been to countless shows at the Casino Ballroom and it honestly never disappoints. It's a small, intimate venue on the New Hampshire sea coast in Hampton Beach. It's capacity is around 2,200. It can get hot and crowded during a sold out show, but isn't that part of the fun of a concert? But even when it's a packed house, there is plenty of room to move about. There are a few different places to grab beverages and they offer a full array of alcoholic treats. The merchandise booth is usually located to right as soon as you enter the venue and is easily accessed when you enter/exit the show. The bathrooms are typical of any venue and are what would expect. The staff and security are always friendly and easy going. The sound really depends on the band and how good the sound engineers they use are. I've seen plenty of shows where the sound was fantastic - most recently, Sammy Hagar "A Journey Through the History of Rock." The sound was loud, crystal clear and on point. The concert season normally starts up in April and goes into November, with the majority of events from late May to September. They get everything from big name, chart topping musicians to top name comedians. It's a great place to check out one of your favorite bands and have a fun night out. You can even turn it into a mini vacation and spend a night or two and hit the boardwalk and beach! read more

Honestly, after reading all the negative reviews I was a little nervous about what we would find. However, we were pleasantly surprised. We went to a seated event- not general admission- and really enjoyed ourselves. Staff was very courteous and welcoming. At seated events you can get 2 drinks when ordering (not offered during General Admission shows). There were lots of bars and no waiting. There was also staff who would serve to the seats. Some seats have cup holders- but they are really only useful if you are a small person- and seats could be just a tad wider. We moved to seats without them and were much more comfortable. We had great views of the stage from both locations. We were especially happy that there was enough space between rows that people could get in and out of the row without everyone else having to get out of their seats to let them pass. We had no issues with anything- the show sounded great and we had a terrific time. I'd definitely do a seated show again. read more

We traveled and hour and 1/2 to SEE a Kenny Rogers concert held on 4 November 2017. However if you are sitting at the "high top" tables (aka the "cheaper" seats) you have a 50/50 chance of getting obstructed view and SEEING a pole in your field of view. This is EXACTLY what I got and especially true with an aging Kenny Rogers where he had to sit through the entire concert right (in one spot) where the pole was for my view. If Kenny had moved around to different parts of the stage it would of been a better experience for me. His duet partner did. I saw more of her than him. It was quite disappointing. Fortunately my wife was was able to enjoy the entire show as she sat across from me moving the pole out of her view and captured highlights from her phone. I'll watch the concert online with the rest of her FB friends later on! The bar areas and standing room only was excessively busy and VERY NOISY that several of us in our section was getting annoyed. The one bright spot is that our waitress serving drinks was very friendly and attentive (and she had a big crowd to sponsor). If you sit in that high top area and need to get out to use the facilities be warned it is very packed. I would probably watch a concert here again but only in the center stages. BTW - Kenny Rogers was great! The concert was 90 minutes long and had a beautiful and talented side kick that sang the duets with. read more

Very unique place for a concert! Lots of history, going back to 1899, though the first performer they profile, as significant to the Ballroom's timeline, is Duke Ellington in 1936. Not sure if the hardwood floors are original, but they, as does the rest of the ballroom, scream vintage (So does the sticky beer residue on said floors.) Love the old brass lighting, particularly the massive chandelier over the stairway. Entrance is on the lower level, next to the casino and arcade; the ballroom is on the second story, so be prepared to climb stairs. I didn't see an elevator for wheelchair accessibility, but according to the FAQs a staff member will escort attendees to the elevator to get up to the Ballroom. Wand security before reaching the stairs, empty pockets. You are told to have ID ready, along with your tickets, as liquor is served. Wristbands applied (one alcoholic beverage per wristband - not surprisingly, that didn't prevent people from overimbibing) and tickets scanned at the top of the stairs. Staff were very friendly and the wand master even cracked a couple jokes. Lightens the moment when he's getting up close and personal. Once inside, it's a big, dark, cavernous space seating about 1,800 people, with support pillars creating slightly obstructed views for some people in the back rows (I suspect there was a viewing balcony in prior times). Stage is about midway down on the right side, with a souvenir kiosk and washrooms flanking it. Looking backward on the left of the stair wall is a food counter, featuring Sal's Pizza. Then along the left side of the room is the bar. Beyond the bar, farthest back from the stage, is table seating on a raised platform. Gold seats, nearest the stage, get food/drink table service. Floor seating is an upgraded version of typical folding chairs, with padded seats and backrests, linked together with cup holder/arm rests. Not too uncomfortable, though we spent most of our time on our feet, along with the boisterous standing-room-only crowd to our immediate right (we were at the end of Row OO). Several beers landed on the floor, which everyone walked through, before a staff member came along with a bucket and mop. And being at the end of the row, we nearly got splattered a couple of times. On this occasion we were going to see one of our favorite groups, Barenaked Ladies. Opening act was soloist, Gary Jules. People wouldn't stop talking/yelling so it was very difficult to hear him. What a din! And disrespectful. I recognized him when he sang his cover version of Tears for Fears' "Mad World". The Ladies were fabulous and acoustics were actually very good once people stopped trying to holler over each other. Seems fans have outgrown the tradition of tossing dry Kraft Dinner noodles during "If I Had a Million Dollars". Glad I didn't bring any. ;) They have a big variety of musical and comedic artists that are coming up on the schedule. I can see another concert here in our future. :) read more

This place holds approximately 2000 people and the best they can do is FOUR fans? The floor was sooooo sticky and security was non-existent as far as I could see. 2 stars for the sound system as that was the only plus. My Husband and I went here for a Styx concert. Styx was AWESOME! Unfortunately there were several rude people in the audience that had attitudes because people in the audience were standing. They were rudely yelling at people to sit down and calling them names. I think that was very uncalled for. Hello it's a concert!!! That's what normally happens! I paid good money and drove over an hour for a comedy show, on my way in with my wife a bouncer whispered a comment to the young lady taking tickets she then repeated to me that was very insulting while he stood there laughing, comment was about physical appearance, I'll leave at that but I don't think insulting and embarrassing your customers on their looks while we enter your establishment is a wise business model. Ballroom was very crowded but everyone seemed pretty respectful and behaved( probably the generation) I really enjoy the size of the venue. Makes it feel much more personal and up close. Honestly, this is one of the worst venues I've been to, and I've been to quite a few. Actually, I've even performed at this place, but that's another story. And frankly, I'd much rather be on the stage here than in the audience. Horrible. Went to see Yes here, my favorite band, and thankfully the music was so damn good I eventually got over my anger at this place, but that was no small feat. We went looking for our seats and couldn't find them. One of the staff tells us "oh, we had to move those." Huh??? At $60 a ticket I damn well expect my seats to be there when I arrive. The manager came out and tried (emphasis on "tried") to help us find some other seats. We did eventually, but had to climb over a table to get there and ended up right on top of some other people. As others have mentioned, the chairs are so close together that there is literally no moving once you're seated. Then the waitstaff comes around to take your beer order and that's another distraction. Maybe it's just me, but if I want a beer, I'll go get it myself. I'm there to enjoy the show, and don't really want the waitress blocking my view. This is it for me, I won't be coming back. read more

Solely for music/performances it's a great venue. The sound is good, the stage is big and the floor is wide, great for seeing bands or live shows. Looking for a beer or two? Either do some pregaming before you go or liquidate any investments you may have because a simple Bud Light here is just shy of $8. I didn't see how much mixed drinks were but I assume nothing short of a second mortgage or organ trafficking would make it financially possible. There is also a stand inside there that advertises "Sal's Pizza". It is not, by any stretch of the imagination, Sal's pizza. The slices are tiny and the crust tastes like an overcooked sponge. Door prices were no treat either, their shows consistently costing quite a bit more than the same shows at other venues. We came here to see Eddie Izzard this summer. While I love him and will go anywhere to see him, this will be the last time I come to this venue. I did not enjoy it. Getting into the show, I felt like we were all cattle being rustled into a pen. If I were to come back, I would do an assigned seat (my husband arranged these tickets, if it were me I would have gotten the arranged seats to begin with but he did not think it necessary). If you do come here and do not have arranged seats, do not come late expecting good seats. We were all the way in the back to the side. It could have been worse but it still was not great. Have been going to the Casino for years. Last nights Beach Boy concert may have been my last. The seats were set up so all I could see were the people walking in the aisle. I purchased best available tickets early on day one of sale. If I wanted to watch the asses of people walking by, I could have stayed outside and saved the aggravation. Have you ever considered once the show starts of restricting this constant traffic during a concert. In any event, it was an extremely disappointing evening. I am not very excited about the Ballroom, but I have seen two fairly interesting/good shows there. I went up a few years ago to see Constantine Maroulis (from American Idol) - tickets from Stub Hub for about a $1.50 a piece and the place was relatively empty which was nice. It still looks like a high school gymnasium, regardless of how many people are packed in there. Last night I went to see Jeff Dunham, which was amazing and much cheaper than seeing him closer to Boston in a larger venue. We had to wait in a LONG ass line to get into the joint, the show started about 30 minutes late. It was really rough, started to rain. But other than that, once you are in and the show is good enough you can kind of forget how shitty the place is. The drinks I have had there were no more expensive than drinking in a bar in Boston, the waitresses no more attentive. The only way you can really get a good seat in the place as far as I can tell, is to go REALLY EARLY and wait in the front of the line forever. Or somehow get your ass into one of those weird sky boxes. Do you need a membership? How much do you have to pay, do you get into all the shows if you do? Curious things those boxes. read more

This is my absolute favorite place to see rock shows!!! I've seen Bily Idol here at least 3 times here!! I love it here! The staff is always super nice here and they're never rude! The venue is awesome..The only negative things I can really say about this place is it's always scorching hot..It seems like there is never any AC...so be prepared to sweat your ass off.. I'd wear a tank top in the summer to a concert here! Also..I'm one of those people that wait in line for Billy Idol at noon to get in front row..They now have this thing where people pay a certain amount where they can cut in front of you and get in before you..I think that sucks..after you wait in line for hours and they still get to cut you..It's totally NOT FAIR! It's a joke! They should give wrist bands to the first 10ish people, too...We stand there in line for hours...in the rain or the blazing heat and these people walk right in front of you...SO NOT RIGHT!! read more
