We came here for dinner. Our server, Summer was a delight, she was attentive and friendly. Our drinks were very good and the food was delicious. It was a little cool so we ate inside by the windows. The food and drinks came out very quick. I ordered a ceasar salad and it came out with iceberg lettuce and no romaine. I was not informed of this. The ceasar salad with chicken costs $24 and it was not worth it. I got the same dish at Purple Urchin and JBs on the Boardwalk, and they were both much better and cheaper. The ambience is very nice. Spacious. Island music plays in the background and most staff seem to work hard. But be careful. Our server was humorless, ineffective, and just a downer. Ok. Fine. Perhaps the young lady was having an off day, or had some other baggage bringing her down. We all can look pass that. Nachos were okay, and the guacamole was great. Entrees were crap. Soggy lobster roll. Over cooked or reheated scallops. Pedestrian tacos. My clams and linguine were...nearly tasteless. Okay, fine, it's damn hard to get experienced cooks. Haven't been here in a few years. Food did not disappoint. Outside bar with music is a great addition. The outside bar don't expect to get quick service. The clam chowder was great, thick creamy full of wonderful chunks of clam, potatoes. The seafood casseroles didn't disappoint either !! read more

My fiance and I went to breakfast at mcclurks this morning ! The food was horrible my sausage was not even cooked inside I asked for no hash browns and no toast and they put it on the plate I had to ask for silverware I also got pancakes that I had to ask for the syrup twice from two different waitresses! I asked to speak to the owner cuz he was there and he said he was too busy to come out and talk to me so they gave me a bill of $45 so I pay for my fiance's breakfast which was funny and left six dollars for two iced coffees that had five ice cubes in them the service was absolutely horrible and the food was the most disgusting stuff I've ever eaten I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there it's a horrible place and the owner not to come out of his office I think it's a ignorant gesture so it goes to show you what kind of read more

We made a reservation, but they didn't have it when we arrived. We were seated indoors where it was actually muggy. I asked for a substitution and instead of checking the waitress just said no. So I ordered something else which was tough and tasteless. Another person at our table ordered a stuffed burger, which it was not. Just a slice of cheese on top. The scallops another ordered were dry and when we requested melted butter for them she brought butter packets. A couple friends and I went here for dinner, and I have to say, it wasn't so good. The water tasted really... strange, for starters, it sort of had a plastic taste. Maybe these next couple things aren't so bad, but they're still not what you want at a restaurant. One of my friend's wanted to try the clam chowder, and when it came, well, let's just say it WASN'T the texture of clam chowder. Also, when my other friend got their burger, the bread seemed different- almost like plastic looking? She tried it and thought it was really bad, and she's not a very picky eater. The same friend who ordered the burger also got a side of fries. There was only like, three fries on her plate and when she tried to bit into one, it was pretty hard. Then, I got my Caesar salad, or just a pile of lettuce? There was a huge mound of lettuce on my plate with just barely any cheese and one crouton. Had tickets to a show at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom and thought we'd grab a bite before the show. I would rather have starved to death. Honestly the worst meal for $100 dollars (for 2 ppl) goes to...McGuirk's Ocean View Restaurant & Lounge. Congratutlations! Shameful. I felt like I had been robbed and violated after dining here. The food quality was shameful. Jarred salsa, really? It's tomatoes, onions, peppers and cilantro. Can I send you a recipe? Chips and guacamole with Old El Paso Salsa -- $14. I was too embarrassed to tell my friend that the price alone was offensive forget about what it looked like when it arrived at our table. My friend ordered a "cocktail". She is a professional bartender...the server made the drink and I don't think she's a professional bartender. It was apparently as good as the food. So, lesson of the day (yesterday) -- 1. do not eat or drink here. 2. staying hungry it won't kill you but dropping $100 on garbage will. 3. Go to the Ballroom to see music! It was EPIC! read more

so, my only child turned 30, and we all spent the weekend at HB. it was fun. but for this place. seriously horrid. there were 7 of us. the outdoor patio was practically empty. we got seated and ordered drinks. they came. only one of us was having an alcoholic beverage. (it was 1:30 pm) we waited a long time to order. most of us had empty drinks. we ordered food and more drinks. We sat for (timed it) 1 hour and ten mins for food. No drinks came. 5 out of 7 got served. We were, at this point too hungry to wait. About ten mins later the other 2 got food. We reminded about drinks. They never came. It was busier now, I guess that was the problem? My burger was literally incinerated. It was horrid. My friend requested no cheese and a side of mayo. She had cheese but never got mayo after asking twice more. I could go on, but don't want to bore you. Anyway, 20$$ for a charred bit of meat with cold soggy fries just does not work for me.
