No pictures just the breakfast.. all hotels look the same.. the staff here if very friendly we meet 3 different people that worked the checkin desk all were super nice. The rooms were clean they all the soaps shower gel, shampoo and conditioner oh and lotion. Beds were comfortable except the bed was a little squeaky. Had a very good experience here right off the freeway and quiet. They also have a Tesla charging station.

I have stayed here several times! A simple quaint Mot. Nothing fancy, but everything you need. Clean, friendly staff. Within walking distance to downtown Virginia City and all the action. They are pet friendly, which is definitely a plus. Very reasonable rate too!

A little higher and the mask would actually cover the part of the face that contains the coronavirus itself.

Covid-19 train wreck. Most employees not wearing masks or not wearing the properly of when interacting with customers at the front desk. Staff seems oblivious to the raging deadly pandemic. As a first responder, I'm especially offended when hotel and restaurant workers do not respect my safety or the safety of those I might come into contact with. Two stars, not one because the pool and hot tub are very nice. The pool and hot tub were the main reason I chose this hotel. Also, earning them an extra star, the housekeeper was wearing her mask properly every time I saw her even when she did not know I I was noticing. Air conditioner / heater, even when powered off, comes on approximately every 25 minutes, runs for exactly 20 seconds, then shuts off. It does this all night long.

Clean, quiet and safe. Isn't that what we all want in a hotel? I appreciate the high shower heads too. Ask any tall person, ducking down to shampoo your hair is no fun. Not near as romantic when accompanied either. And in an era where neckties, shopping malls, and greeting cards are quickly disappearing, why do hotels still have bathtubs with the dangerous curved and narrow footing? Yes I know, to wash infants and corgis. Possibly to increase organ donation after catastrophic slip and falls. ~Star knock for the price: 300 clams for a 1 night stay at a hotel in Carson City for a room from which the ceaseless highway traffic and parking lot domestic spats are clearly audible.

Hampton 100% promised guarantee with horrible room.

Room provided was trashed by previous guests. Not cleaned at all, towels, garbage all over the room. And front desk said we are over sold and sleep somewhere else. No courtesy from manager or regional manager to reach out with an apologize.

The rooms are spacious, staff is friendly and helpful, they offer fresh baked cookies in the evening, free hot breakfast buffet in the mornings and 24/7 gym access (ignore the hours sign). However, there was an odor in my room reminiscent of spoiled milk. I thought it would dissipate over time but it never did. I requested another room, they offered to deep clean the room and if the odor didn't go away they would honor my request. Housekeeping came the next morning and only did a refresh, they didn't even vacuum as I noticed a previously created hairball still on the floor when I returned. So obviously, the odor was still present. I tried to move into a different room and that room smelled even worse. Therefore, I decided to just keep the room that I was originally in. The hotel in general, is very nice, but housekeeping needs to improve (I also had experiences with them not cleaning the bathroom mirror) and they need to do a better job of having hot water available just as they have coffee available. They have four canisters (decaf, caffeinated coffee, another kind of coffee and hot water); however, all three coffees would be out early in the morning for breakfast, but never the hot water. I made two complaints about that to no avail. Overall, I do recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Really solid stay. Wasn't expecting much as it's in Carson City, the more utilitarian town compared to it's more upstart sister-city Reno. Used the last of Hilton Honors points to book a 1 night stay. The inn is located on the northern edge of town, closest to Reno, and is about 2.4mi. to downtown. So, not within practical walking distance to Carson City casinos or the town center. This might be the only minor drawback? Check-in was a snap. The lobby is apportioned well and tastefully. Definite several steps above your average budget lodging. Of course, Hilton and sister Hampton have some of the most comfortable bedding in the industry, a fundamental staple of any successful stay. Well-above average morning breakfast served 6-10am. I mean, how many places serve egg white frittatas for their comp breakfasts, lol? 2 EV charging stations (Tesla branded?) on site to boot. It's a winner!

The lack of daily housekeeping shows. We had cobwebs in our room. The free electric charge station was a plus.

every time I stay it's been fine. I know what to expect - and it's a generic Hampton which is fine with me. cheaper than staying in Reno.

    Do they accept dogs?

Reno Hampton-yes. Carson City-not sure. Didn't see any clues on property suggestive that they do (i.e. dog run areas, water bowls, signage, etc). Might wanna call the property direct? Nevada's a weird state in that select inn owners will refuse even… Read more

We were greeted by a young man at the lobby who checked us in promptly. We went to our rooms and like some of us, first thing we wanted to check was the condition of the room. It gives off simple charm but we peeled back the layers of the bedding and were instantly met with disgust. There was a sheet that had dried blood on it and there was no mistaking what it was. There were other stains on each sheet as well as the comforter. We checked out the second bed, and while it wasn't as bad, it still had random stains all over the sheets. We had friends that took the room next to us and upon informing them of what we found, they looked at their bed and had similar experiences. The floors also were in desperate need of replacement as they have dark stains all over. I can understand that hotels will have some stains from time to time, but it was a bit excessive. The hallways also are in very poor shape but they at least hung a sign saying that they were aware of the carpet and were in the process of replacement. I guess I don't know exactly how long those signs have been present but I guess they don't need to be in any rush as "there is a sign". We went down to the front desk and they young man did offer a new room or new bedding. We just took the fresh linens and changed the bed ourselves. Later on, we went to take a shower and couldn't help but notice that there were only two full towels even though we have two full queen size beds and 4 people, but I guess it's assumed that you only need one towel per adult? I'm not certain, but once again had to call the front desk and they said they would come up and provide additional towels. Sure enough, in 10 minutes there was a knock at the door and the young man was there with additional towels. I jokingly looked at him and said, "Are you the only one working here in the hotel tonight?" as he was the only one that helped us several times and he said, "basically yes I am the only one here and I get off at 10 where another person comes in to replace me". Mind you, he was young and I would guess about 22 years of age, but to be running the entire hotel on his own seemed just unfair. The best part of this experience is that on their sign outside of the Inn, they actually say "Impeccably clean rooms", which really couldn't be further from the truth. Sadly, you get what you pay for and these rooms were very affordable but I don't think anyone wants to lay their heads down on someone else's dried blood.

This has been a family owned Business since the very first day I walked through the door and this visit I finally met one of the brothers who owns the place, Tedsh. He has a twin brother Dominick. The owner informed me their cousin who use to run the front desk who was my absolute favorite, Gurnay is going to nursing school! I miss her so much! She and I had a special connection and she was always so welcoming and made my stay extra special. The brothers are trying to update the Hardman House and make it authentic and not a Holiday Inn! They want to keep the prices at good value for all travelers. They have started on the remodel which has begun from the top slowing working their way down. Every time I stay there, I see improvements, all new bedding, custom mattresses exclusively for the hotel, Egyptian linens same as the Landing at Tahoe. Brand new roof and internet upgrades for Wi-Fi and televisions. They're in the process of remodeling the 3rd floor which is my favorite rooms. This time I stayed in Room 217 and it was different than my usual room. It was nice and roomy with a view of the buildings next door and not too noisy. Yes, the place is a bit run down and they have signs saying pardon our carpets in the hallways which are super old and unpleasant to look at. I can't wait for the new carpets and drapes!!!! In with the new and out with the old! You will have the comfort of your bed which is a beautiful thing and you will be well rested. They do have wine and cookie hour in the evenings and a small continental breakfast. The breakfast could be more appealing, maybe supporting one of the local bakeries in town would be a nice touch and moving the breakfast choices back to the table instead of on the end of the countertop. I look forward to my next stay this summer, hopefully on the 3rd floor with a nice fresh look and feel. I do love that they have underground parking which is a plus! You need to be mindful of the removal of old toilets, beds, and microwaves as they make improvements to the property. They be gone soon enough.
