We spent one night at this hotel and had a truly wonderful experience. When we arrived, a guest was already being assisted at the front desk, so we patiently waited behind them. To our surprise, the manager came in and immediately welcomed us and took care of our check-in. It was especially meaningful because, as the front desk associate later shared, he had already finished his shift and gone to rest, but returned when he saw us waiting. We are traveling and he give us is so many recommendations. That level of care and dedication did not go unnoticed. We had an excellent stay overall. The entire staff was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming in every interaction., specifically the lady in front desk, funny and kind. The hotel offers both cold breakfast options, such as fruit and yogurt, as well as hot items, which we really appreciated. The coffee wasn't quite to my taste, but everything else was excellent. I have been a Hilton Honors member for many years, and am very loyal to the Hilton brand. I have stayed at dozens of Hilton's, Garden Inns, Hamptons, and Home2Suites all across the country. Our current travel brought us to the Hampton in Carson City, Nevada. I found the property to be clean and well maintained, with an exceptional team. I believe Hank is a GM, and he definitely deserves acknowledgment for running a clean operation. The first front desk clerk I interacted with is a young lady named Nicole. She is extremely congenial and conscientious, handling her guests with care and expediency. Second up was another front desk clerk named Andrew. Young and enthusiastic, very congenial and appears to bond with the guests. Bryan is another front office employee (although it appears he wears a variety of hats) who is very affable and just a pleasure to interact with. Stayed here while in town for work. The hotel is conveniently located off the freeway as you enter Carson City. They offer complimentary breakfast, an indoor pool, and a gym. The rooms were clean they all the soaps shower gel, shampoo and conditioner oh and lotion. Beds were comfortable except the bed was a little squeaky. Covid-19 train wreck. Most employees not wearing masks or not wearing the properly of when interacting with customers at the front desk. Staff seems oblivious to the raging deadly pandemic. As a first responder, I'm especially offended when hotel and restaurant workers do not respect my safety or the safety of those I might come into contact with. Two stars, not one because the pool and hot tub are very nice. The pool and hot tub were the main reason I chose this hotel. Also, earning them an extra star, the housekeeper was wearing her mask properly every time I saw her even when she did not know I I was noticing. Air conditioner / heater, even when powered off, comes on approximately every 25 minutes, runs for exactly 20 seconds, then shuts off. It does this all night long. read more

Clean, quiet and safe. Isn't that what we all want in a hotel? I appreciate the high shower heads too. Ask any tall person, ducking down to shampoo your hair is no fun. Not near as romantic when accompanied either. And in an era where neckties, shopping malls, and greeting cards are quickly disappearing, why do hotels still have bathtubs with the dangerous curved and narrow footing? Yes I know, to wash infants and corgis. Our dog Jack and I stayed in your hotel this last weekend. Thursday to Sunday. 1) Very clean and well decorated public spaces. 2) better than average daily breakfast. The gals making this happen were so warm and friendly. 3) I stayed here because you are dog friendly. I would suggest you put some grass in the areas designated for pets. My dog did his business there but he was very hesitant. We actually took our dog to a nearby grass area as our dog did not like those rocks. Well done Hampton Inn. read more

Had a great stay at this hotel. The reservation and check in is simple, the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and modern, nice rooms, beds and TV. Pool is huge, didn't use. The dining area , common area and office area are clean and modern. The breakfast was great, sausage, eggs , really good sesoned potatoes. All kinds of other stuff juice, milk, cereals and waffles. Fruit too! I had some businees to do in the morning. felt comfortable setting up laptop and working while eating breakfast. Nice place. read more

Traveling for my husbands work we spend lots of time in Hilton hotels; they are consistent, comfortable, and easy. However this particular Hampton Inn was a tad below our expectations... First off let me start with the positives...Alecia, Cory, and Robert at the front desk are fabulous! They are so friendly, remembered our names, attentive to our every need (especially our midnight snack cravings) and do their jobs very well! The rest of the housekeeping and maintenance staff also work tirelessly and are very friendly. Free breakfast in the morning is lovely and fills the tummy for the day, the rooms are clean, and the hotel itself is comfortable enough. However, this Hampton Inn has some issues... One of the best things about these hotels is that they have gyms (a necessity for me), but the treadmill was completely broken and they were unaware, the elliptical was shifty, and the room itself was microscopic. Unfortunately this meant I had to trek out into the 36 degree snow to go for a run and discovered something else...Not their fault, but the location of this hotel is in a very shady neighborhood. I felt uneasy the entire time, and never got so many cat calls in my life I would not recommend walking around this area. This Hilton property appears to be older and not had many upgrades lately, it needs a facelift and some repairs. Overall this is a hotel that will do in a pinch and for a decent nights sleep, but it's nothing special and needs some work. Still would like to commend the staff on being so wonderful despite what they have to work with. read more

She provided extra towels and pillows in our room in advance, offered us gold member items, a late check out, and texted asking how we were doing in the evening. She was very responsive and kind. The rooms are spacious, staff is friendly and helpful, they offer fresh baked cookies in the evening, free hot breakfast buffet in the mornings and 24/7 gym access (ignore the hours sign). However, there was an odor in my room reminiscent of spoiled milk. I thought it would dissipate over time but it never did. I requested another room, they offered to deep clean the room and if the odor didn't go away they would honor my request. Housekeeping came the next morning and only did a refresh, they didn't even vacuum as I noticed a previously created hairball still on the floor when I returned. So obviously, the odor was still present. I tried to move into a different room and that room smelled even worse. Therefore, I decided to just keep the room that I was originally in. The hotel in general, is very nice, but housekeeping needs to improve (I also had experiences with them not cleaning the bathroom mirror) and they need to do a better job of having hot water available just as they have coffee available. They have four canisters (decaf, caffeinated coffee, another kind of coffee and hot water); however, all three coffees would be out early in the morning for breakfast, but never the hot water. I made two complaints about that to no avail. Overall, I do recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. read more

Really solid stay. Wasn't expecting much as it's in Carson City, the more utilitarian town compared to it's more upstart sister-city Reno. Used the last of Hilton Honors points to book a 1 night stay. The inn is located on the northern edge of town, closest to Reno, and is about 2.4mi. to downtown. So, not within practical walking distance to Carson City casinos or the town center. This might be the only minor drawback? Check-in was a snap. The lobby is apportioned well and tastefully. Definite several steps above your average budget lodging. Of course, Hilton and sister Hampton have some of the most comfortable bedding in the industry, a fundamental staple of any successful stay. Well-above average morning breakfast served 6-10am. I mean, how many places serve egg white frittatas for their comp breakfasts, lol? 2 EV charging stations (Tesla branded?) on site to boot. I picked this hotel based on Yelp reviews and price. I was on a road trip with my son and had never been to Carson City before so really didn't know where to stay. I booked this room and was told I could get a cheaper price if I called back and "pre-paid" so the next day I tried to do that but the young woman who answered the phone said she didn't know how and to call back, so I did that the next day and spoke with a young man, with the same result. I gave up. I wasn't going to ruin my trip over $15. Upon check in I asked to speak with a manager and Robert said he could help me so I explained what happened and he made the correction without a moments hesitation. My only reason for a 4 star is because the front desk staff, on two occasions didn't assist me and seemed unconcerned. The hotel is way on the outskirts of Carson with only a Taco Bell nearby. Robert gave us some recommendations for restaurants that were nearby and they were great! We actually lucked out on the location as we were headed to Reno the next morning and this hotel is right off the 580 and it couldn't have been easier. The room was nicely decorated with a modern look and very clean. No complaints! The breakfast was a bit better then I expected with lots of options. The area was very clean and the staff was always refilling and wiping the area down. The parking lot was clean and well lit with easy entry to the front door. EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED - We stayed at the Hampton Inn, Carson City on 8/15/22. The room rate was supposed to be $158 but when we checked out the morning of 8/16/22 the copy of the bill showed $242 which included a $75 pet fee. I explained to the manager on duty that the dog is my wife's service animal. He apologized and said we should not have been charged a pet fee. He said because they were having computer problems that he would call me and send a new invoice for the $158 and not the $242. He never called and the new email he sent showed the same $242. When I got home and checked my credit charges, he had charged an additional $83 for a second pet fee. So, I had to call him a second time and explain all of this to him AGAIN. He said he would get it resolved and send us a credit. 9 days later, a credit for the $83 was sent to our account but the original $242 was not corrected nor was a refund of the original $75 given. Then to top everything else off, I noticed when I reviewed my credit statement that Hampton had actually charged my card SEVEN times for close to $700. Are these people idiots or what. So then I got to call the complaint department for Hilton, spent over an hour on the phone with people I could hardly understand only to be told the complaint department would contact me in 24-48 hrs. Some customer service right! So now I am trying to resolve all of this through my credit card company. Strange thing is, my credit card had a fraudulent charge on the same day Hampton charged (1 of the 7) my card. Now I am wondering if an employee at this Hampton didn't make that charge. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HAMPTON EVER AGAIN. I have a pending stay at the Prescott Hampton that I am cancelling and will never stay at another Hilton/Hampton Inn again. read more

Loved this place!!! The room had everything we needed including a microwave (and I mention this because another Hilton we visited not long ago did not have a microwave in the room). The beds were clean and comfortable (I slept better here than I do at home on my temperpedic), there were extra blankets and pillows in the closet, the bathroom was well supplied, and the TV had some great options. The refrigerator had enough room to hold our snacks for the next day. We had more family in the room next door so we hung out in the lobby utilizing the longest table they had to play our board games. It was so nice to have the hot water and coffee/tea bar right there so our cups never went dry as we played games. The kids were sad that the pool was closed, but we understood. The girls got some time in the gym so they weren't too upset about the pool. All the staff was very accommodating which helped us have a great time!! This is definitely a place I would return to and would recommend. :) read more

This review does not reflect the nice people who work here. They were professional and very kind. However, from the start, this hotel is subpar. The hallways looked like they haven't been vacuumed in weeks. Dirty walls in our room and a dirt line in our bathtub. We came a couple days after they received snow and the parking lot was iced over because no one plowed it. I've never seen anything like it. If they don't have enough help then they shouldn't open to full capacity. I would not recommend this hotel if you're coming here for anything special. If you need a place to sleep and you don't mind it not being clean, then go for it. read more

Other hotels we've been to have paused the complimentary breakfast for now due to COVID (understandably). But this hotel managed to offer breakfast in a way where guests like us felt totally comfortable partaking. They even offered breakfast to go in paper bags as an option. honestly, this was the worst place I have ever stayed save your money and go to the Marriott. I don't even think that they changed out the sheets because they really smelled bad when I open the window. My door would be slamming back-and-forth. It was really annoying all night I couldn't sleep every time, my neighbors got up. You can hear them walking, even though they were trying to whisper walls are way too thin no privacy doors are slamming shelves are slamming. not even worth coming here for the breakfast. It looked like they were just missing everything and they didn't restock couldn't hook up my HDMI to the TV. They couldn't do anything. The lady at night was probably the only one that was nice and gave me some extra towels, other than that, really disappointed this place is falling apart. Elevators are scraping really bad it almost hit this lady when she was trying to come in. Wow, where do I start? As a Hilton Diamond member, I have the opportunity to visit a lot of hotels. The cleaning crew likes to start cleaning at 8am, without warning, walks right in for a not to pleasant wake. Th pool and hot tub has enough chlorine to kill just about anything, including your skin. Don't go after 7pm, because there will be no towels. It's 17 degrees here, the heater in the room is very sporadic and annoying when trying to sleep. Apparently, the fireplaces don't work either. One of the great things about Hampton Inn is the free breakfast. We were here for 4 nights and every morning, the breakfast was gone. We had to pay for our breakfast elsewhere. read more

Very comfortable beds, workout room has 1 treadmill, 1 elliptical, stationary bike, free weights, weight bench, scale, exercise ball, water, towels, view of pool & hot tub. Pool is rather large & the hot tub is clean & relaxing. Coffee in the lobby is delicious. Breakfast doesn't offer many healthy options, but that was minor compared to the other quality amenities. My family & I took a 3 day trip to South Lake Tahoe & Reno, and wanted to stay somewhere affordable & comfortable...and the Hampton Inn was everything we wanted and more. From checking-in to checking-out, everything was a breeze. The hotel staff were great - they were all very friendly , welcoming, accommodating,& informative. They always kept a smile on their face and always greeted us as we walked by. Our room was perfect. We had: 2 comfortable queen sized beds Night stand Sofa Mini Fridge TV (but no DVD player or movies to order - womp womp) Desk w/ a Mirror Gigantic Mirror w/ a closet behind it + Iron/Ironing Board inside Spacious bathroom w/ a strong water system Plenty of towels & A Large window w/ lots of lighting Other amenities we really appreciated were: 1)The indoor pool & Jacuzzi - both are a good size and there are lounge chairs & clean towels provided 2)The gym - it's a bit small but it has everything you need: a treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, weights, a TV, drinking water & clean towels 3) Free Breakfast - the food is surprisingly good! Like they actually provided really good food such as: breakfast burritos, pizza bagels, regular bagels, scrambled eggs, muffins, croissants, cereal & milk, toast bread, waffles, fresh fruit, etc. There was also a juice machine (OJ, Cranberry, & Apple Juice), a coffee and tea station, and refreshing iced water. Everything was also neatly organized and well maintained by the staff. We saw them consistently cleaning up after others, restocking needed supplies, replacing garbage bags as needed, etc.. They were definitely on top of their game. I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this place. It's conveniently located right off the freeway and across the street from an AM/PM gas station & local hospital. It's also just down the street from many restaurants, a CVS and many other stores. It's about a 30min drive from Reno and a 60min drive from South Lake Tahoe, and although a bit far I think it's definitely worth the drive. Thank you Hampton Inn for an AMAZING stay. I stayed here with my family while we were in town to ride the V&T Railroad train to Virginia City and back. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the place was bright and quite clean. To rooms were on the cheery side of adequate, but really, in such an out-of-the-way town with so many alternatives, the price should have been in the $80s rather than $120. The pool was fun. Standing in the parking lot of the hotel, you get a very strong sense of the starkness of the desert surrounding the property. The chintzy faux poshness of the building tucked right up next to the freeway with vast emptiness surrounding feels a little absurd, like a David Lynch film. The coffee machine in the room was like a kick in the shins from a smiling oaf. I would have laughed, but its plain unworkability required me to hoof it downstairs first thing to get coffee from the lobby. Again, for $120, in this town, one should get more. read more

Large showers with room enough for two- we had a very nice king room with plenty of space to stretch out. A nice touch was the AC and USB "charging station" on the bedside table. We stayed one night (12/27) on our way to San Francisco. The hotel is convenient and clean. There is a swimming pool and a gym. A major problem was that the clerk at the reception desk (older female with yellowish hair and blue/green jacket) was just terrible. She complained to us that the hotel was not working (hint: it's not our responsibility). Very cranky, borderline aggressive. Later, I sat in the lobby for a while and noticed she was very rude to "minority" customers. Some racially motivated attitude here? They'd better be careful. read more
