Kinda creepingly charming... If u will
    Brandy D.

Hotel is older style but charming, very quaint. Pros: The room was updated and had granite counter tops, refrigerator, coffee pot, nice furnishings, gorgeous views, private, and relaxing. Cons: Shared balcony, Ice machine was in the water heater room. No Bath tub. Nobody was around town. We were the only occupants in the hotel at the time. There is a nice park across the street. A country store is located in the hotel below the rooms. There is one historical bar a little ways down the road which had two people in it. The town is very small; nearest gas station is 10 minutes away in Minden. (We didn't plan on staying here....long story how we ended up here)

Good price, well decorated, good size rooms with a good location for those doing anything in Genoa. We spent our anniversary here in the middle of Winter, after having dinner at La Ferme. Great option instead of driving home on icy roads!

    Beautiful room

We would highly recommend this Inn. It is in a very historical and quaint community. Check in was very easy and we were pleasantly surprized with the size and quality of our room. It also had a little balcony to seat and view the town. It is not a bed and breakfast but there are enoungh nice restaurants to choose from. The Inn has recently be renovated and they have done a excellent job.

Bre went above and beyond showing me where everything was, I'm actually suprised she isn't a manager. Bre took time to listen to the concerns and made sure we got a call back the next morning and literally is an all star. Holiday inn isn't holiday inn with Bre to our family from now on. The cabin is amazing and extremely clean, it has a full on washer and dryer built in and all cooking utensils. It's a big resort and has had new management since and honestly it all for it. The marketplace and jacuzzi were extremely clean and there's plenty of parking and very very quiet. Only con is that it's a resort away from a resort in Lake Tahoe itself. You have to drive through a treacherous snake-like road for 10 miles before finding the resort. But hey, it's the best bang for the buck and honestly I didn't want to leave a review because of how great it was and didn't want prices to go up. I would have to minus one star though because my Priceline resort fee was suppose to be $38, but I was charged $79.10 at the counter.

There were some weird things happening in our unit during our stay. The fire alarm went off at 4:20 am one of the mornings- completely woke us up from a dead sleep. We didn't see people evacuating or hear any announcements. Apparently it wasn't the whole building/ not sure exactly what happened. We talked with some ladies in the hot springs who were a floor above us- they never hear the alarm. The jacuzzi in our room wouldn't turn on jets when I tried it. This was during a thunderstorm-so the hot springs were out of the question. The front desk was caring and offered to send maintenance- but I had already added my essential oils and soak mixture- so I just needed to soak at that point. I'm sure they have resolved these issues after we checked out. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the room- as well as the large deck for sunrise, sunset, and watching the stars and clouds. Plenty of parking in the lot The hot springs were cleaner in the mornings- so not sure if that happens 1x a day, We went in the first night- but lots of debris in the tubs Cleaner next morning. We also had red about different temperatures on the different hot spring pools/ did not find a difference in temperature Also, the jets are not turned on for the hot springs. Apparently this happened years ago. There is a morning water aerobics class Monday and Wednesday at 8. This seems to be popular. We enjoyed eating at the restaurant on the property the first night. We had to sit in the bar area due to a large party booking the whole dining room- this was one of the best meals we had while in the area- just wish they were open more days. They are closed Monday and Tuesday. Easy checkout- we were able to do it from our phone and leave our wristbands in the room

The townhomes are beautiful and have 3 levels. I see they've made some improvements- probably based on families. The stairs are steep, so with two kids running around, it can be nerve wrecking. I saw they added nice child gates to the top of their sets of stairs. In the townhomes, you have 3 levels and 2 patios: one patio on the second floor (living area with a half bath) with an egg chair and table setting. The third level is the bed space and that patio has the soaking tub and a little seating area. Their main bathroom is huge- beautiful modern shower with a huge soaking tub for two. The soaking tub takes some agility getting in and out, but is nice and deep and has jets. It takes a while to fill up, but once it does, it's really relaxing. We love how both walls next to the sliding glass doors on both levels have a see thru fireplace. Such a cute, romantic detail that's nice to have running while you're relaxing. The heated floors in the bathroom are an added perk. Oh! And you get your own garage- even though you still have to access the home from outside the garage. They are incredible accommodating. They have a list of things offered on request like kids toys, hygiene kits, ironing board, etc. They get added points for having those really expensive amazing Dyson hair dryers as their hair drying option too It's one of our favorite places to stay!

I haven't stayed ay this Minden location for a few years, but it looks all about the same. It's a little trick to find exactly unless you've been here before. Coming south on 395 turn right at 88, the first stop light in town. Then turn left right away towards the Mavrick gas station and go straight all the way back. Lots of parking. Check in is easy and all the rooms are ready. I make sure to get a room on the first floor, cause it makes it way easier coming and going all the time like we do. I'm a rewards club member so I got my points posted right away. My room was nice and the AC was on already. The room was clean and everything worked, especially the WIFI is important. The bathroom was stocked and clean and the hot water pressure was great for some long showers that my little water tank at home won't let me do. I one gripe is, I love to just fill my travel coffee carafe full of hot coffee at the lobby coffee supply. Holiday Inn Express used to have the coffee available in bu holding carafes that held a lot of coffee. I just filled up and it was great. Now, they have these "fresh" brew as you go machines that only make one cup at a time, so if I wanna fill my carafe and bring it back to the room, I have to use both machines and brew single cups on each and then pour it into my container. Way more pain in the butt then it used to be. But I guess, that's just me, everybody else wants a single cup fresh ground and brewed. Other wise this stay is going just fine. Still look forward to those cinnamon rolls in the morning!

The first night we were there, someone got sick in the parking lot.
