Stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago/Aurora the weekend of 8/2/24 -8/3/24. Woke up on Saturday morning with very itchy legs and some welts that looked like mosquito bites. Didn't think too much of it at the time. Woke up Sunday morning to more - many, many more. Monday morning had a video conference with my doctor and she confirmed Bed Bugs based on the number of bites, location, and pattern. Plus the obvious unbearable itching. Called the hotel Manager and reported the confirmation. They said that protocol is to "put that room out of order" and have Orkin come out. They found "nothing". So My Daughter is getting Married in May. So I booked a room here thru Expedia as they had an excellent rate. Come to find out they made an error and booked it for March, when I called to get it corrected they said to late! No refund/ credit as it's considered a " NO SHOW"! of course, it's for May. Numerous calls to Hampton inn never returned...Shame on Expedia and Hilton for not trying to make it right for my Daughters special day and to spend time with the Family, how sad. read more

We just stayed here for 4 nights and we were so impressed! We are a family of 5 and the kids loved the pool. My husband and I enjoyed the pool, hot tub and the gym. We rented a room here for the day since we were getting some home remodeling and needed to be out for the day. This place was one of the few affordable ones that had a indoor pool. Which the kids pool was amazing....other then the fact it was soo loud with all the shooting water. The frog slide was cute too, but some of the caulk has been removed so hurt the little one when he would go down. Overall the whole pool area was loud and very hot and humid so just a heads up. Now let's talk about the room itself which looked very nice but smelled freshly painted. Also, the room never got cold persay, just had a weird moist feeling to it... But we weren't going to sleep there so guess that was okay. Everyone at check in and out was nice, just didn't like when we checked in the price shown was differently then what we were told. They then explained how the Triple A discount would show at checkout, I dont know just weird. Overall, for what we needed the hotel for it met our needs just wasn't WOW. read more

Nice place for a pool party! They have nice size suites for parties and you can get extra wristbands for the kids. The prices are reasonable and the value is worth it. My only complaint however is a big one, the lifeguards aren't really lifeguards. I saw a little boy jump in the pool alone and the mom went running but the lifeguard did not move an inch. read more

Fine hotel! Very clean and service was good. Would definitely stay here again. I stayed in a suite. It was very nice and well appointed for this type of hotel. I also paid for the hot tub upgrade, which I would not do again. It was located to the side of the bed in the large bedroom. Not exactly the atmosphere we were looking for. Loved it here. Stayed Sunday August 7, 2016. The room was a big suite so it was very comfortable. Everything clean. They had such an awesome pool environment for the kids. They had a section just for kids and even my 1 year old could walk through it without a fear of drowning with a cute slide and buckets dumping and sprinklers. Then they had another pool just for swimming which was big. Then they had a huge jacuzzi with 3 big sections so it wasn't uncomfortable to be in with a stranger. The breakfast in the morning was great. They had Danishes, waffles, bacon, omelettes, bagels, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, and so much more. My family loved it here and I can't wait to go back. Thanks for such a wonderful experience and I'll be sure to tell my friends. read more

Best Hampton Inn I have come across, and one of the best values too! I'm from the area, but I've travelled about 700 nights for work in the last 6 years. I used my points to put some family members up here and also went to the hotel myself, and was really suprised to see how nice this particular Hampton Inn was. Newer, clean, friendly desk staff, and we really enjoyed the pool and hottub area, which is much nicer and bigger than most hotel pool areas in the same category. This is my goto hotel now in the area anytime I need to put someone up for a night, or provide a recommendation! read more

Stayed here on business, very nice room. Clean and quiet. Plenty of room to move around the room without bumping into walls and other furniture pieces. Nice size bathroom and sink area. Coffee maker, fridge and freezer in room too. I make a point to be a rational and very understanding person. That being said, the customer service was some of the worst I have ever experienced and that is no exaggeration. We were scheduled to stay for two nights. Upon arrival we were told that there was a booking issue with a third party vendor. We specifically asked that this issue be cleared up prior to our checking in so that we could enjoy our vacation. After about half an hour, Rhonda at the front desk assured us that it was taken care of and checked us in. After breakfast the next morning, our keycards were disconnected with no notification whatsoever and with our belongings (money, identification, car keys) still inside. Rhonda and Carmen at the front desk laughed during their explanation of a mistake made again by the third party vendor while we waited to be allowed back into our rooms. We were assured that we could rectify the situation later that day as we were on a schedule and our keycards were reactivated. We return to the hotel after our day and our keycards are, once again, disconnected with no form of notification. Rhonda had gone home for the day and was replaced by Jonathan and Ric. Both of these gentlemen began their explanation with aggressive attitudes towards us and refused to let us back into our room even to get the payment which they were requesting right that moment. Carmen decided to jump in at the moment and yell if we were going to pay yet. This was completely humiliating- especially in a lobby full of other guests. Finally, Ric reluctantly tells Jonathan to let one of us into the room but to accompany us and make sure only one person goes in. We make the payment as we had originally tried to do the moment we checked in. We enter our rooms and see that there has been no housekeeping done to either of our two rooms, no new towels, no trash taken out. We ask that it please be taken care of and Jonathan informs us that, for some reason, it can't be done. In an established hotel for paying customers who had been locked out of their rooms which were booked over a month in advance, this simple task cannot be done. Jonathan makes a comment that money comes first to which we replied that we just finished paying and he continues to argue with us about it. Jonathan was more understanding afterwards and said that he was frustrated as well with the third party vendor. He apologized and gave us his card. My issue, however, went beyond the payment problem, there was a complete lack of communication between anyone at the service desk and ourselves. The way we were treated, especially by Carmen and Ric, was despicable and I sincerely hope that no other paying customer is treated with such disrespect. read more

This location has the best Hampton Inn & Suites I have ever stayed at. It is just as nice as you could want a hotel to be, spacious, new- appearing, clean, quiet, roomy suites (much better than average in my estimation). The breakfast area is very large, and the prefabricated food and coffee is okay. The internet service is reliable but kinda slow - no video streaming is really viewable and downloads take a long time. Otherwise, I'd call this place a nearly perfect hotel. If I could rate this place a 0, I would. Absolute worst customer service my family and I have ever received. Booked two rooms online, got to the hotel and they claimed no payment was made. A few minutes later, they say ok there was a payment made, go ahead. Next day, our room cards are disabled and we can't enter our rooms anywhere. We didn't get a phone call, nothing to let us know what's going on. Lady at front desk once again says there was no payment made and we can't enter the room. This was after the hotel taking out two different payments from our credit cards. After several minutes of going back and forth, because she obviously had no idea what to do or how to handle the situation at hand; we were issued new cards to go back in. A few hours later after coming from a waterpark, we once again can't go into our room. Cards disabled again. What do they say at the front desk? The payments couldn't go through, so you guys can't enter the room. Mind you, all of our belongings are IN THE ROOMS. Every person we've spoken to in this hotel says a different thing about policies and how they take care of payments and third party payments made online. The customer service has been absolutely terrible and the most unprofessional business I've ever seen. I don't like to think it could be because we're a Hispanic group of nine and majority of its customers are white; but I can't think of any other reason we would be treated this way. Either educate your employees on how to handle booked rooms made through a "third party service" or don't put them in the front desk. Not only is this incredibly frustrating because we came here to have a good time; on VACATION. but It is so unprofessional to have our belongings locked in two rooms and tell us we can't go in. Don't come to this fucked up hotel unless you want to experience complete frustration and disappointment. read more

So my dear girl (10yrs old) really wanted a hotel sleepover party so her and her friends could swim. We booked a room at $140/night at the Hampton INN on Orchard & 88. Her and 4 friends, my husband and I and our 2 other kids show up and check in. Now being that we live so close , we only brought our other kids to swim, then the lucky hubby got to go home leaving me and 4 girls. The hotel upon check in then informs us that as a franchise they only allow 5 people per room to swim, each person gets 1 wristband which is only valid for tonite. I was livid, since when do hotels without an attached Waterpark limit the amount of guests that can swim?! They wanted me to buy another room so I could get more wristbands @ another $125/ night or cancel my reservation all together. At this point I had 4- 10yr Olds, 15 yr & 2yr old in the car as if I could just cancel her birthday. After pointing out that it does not state that anywhere on their website the clerk relented and gave me the 4 extra bands I needed. Then he had the audacity to tell me if there was a single complaint about the kids we would be escorted out. We were also told we could not swim in the morning before checkout. To boot, My 15 year old daughter was bringing in the cart full of stuff from the car and a small glass jar fell and broke. The front desk clerk told her "this is what I warned your mom about". (Thankfully for him, I was parking the car and didn't hear this.) She apologized and even started cleaning it up. We were also given the impression the pool was overly crowded so there may not be much room for us... to our surprise we were the only people in there for the 1st hour. Needless to say, never again will I stay here and will inform the other parents in my neighborhood close to this location. I wouldn't want another little girl to go thru this embarrassment. read more

We had 20 rooms rented out for our wedding...we like to come once in a while for the kids to play in the pool area...after all the stays we asked if we can have a simple room upgrade and they refused...go with choice hotels...they are just as nice and go out of there way to give you upgrades when rooms are not being used...so frustrated how much buisness we gave them.. read more

We chose this hotel because of it location close to family, reasonable rates, gym, and the pool for our toddler. The pictures of the pool do not do it justice! It was so much fun and our son loved all of the interactive spouts, slides, gysers, etc...The staff was fantastic, the hotel was clean and the amenities was good. We went there for a dinner event one evening and were impressed with the decor, restrooms, cleanliness, etc. It appeared to be elegant and nice. It seemed odd then that the bar would only serve drinks in plastic cups. Even wine was served in a plastic cup. Really? This isn't a college party. It felt very cheap. When dinner was served the plates and silverware were also all disposable. There was no salt or pepper on the tables, no water service, actually no service as all. It was a buffet style with employees managing the buffet but no one ever came around to the tables. If you needed something you'd have to get up and get it yourself (i.e. salt), and you had to clean up after yourself to keep your table clear for a plastic cup cocktail after dinner. Just seemed weird. Wouldn't it be cheaper to use real dinner and glassware that is washable than to purchase and throw away disposables? It was a beautiful first impression demoted by low class service. read more
