I went to this hotel as part of a group tour. Although the hotel looks great, looks can be deceiving. The bed was not that comfortable; shower was not that great. Did wake up calls-3 times-came through as saying it was done. Never got a wake up call. So, on the 4th day, I mentioned this to desk clerk and was advised it does not always work-if you know that something does not work--why don't you fix it? Our welcoming meal food was lukewarm, waiter forgot sodas, and made zero accommodation regarding dessert-i am allergic to dairy products and waiter made zero effort to see if there was an alternative offering. Breakfast buffet was limited-potatoes over salted, and nothing to write home about. Staff is friendly. read more

Very nice Hotel on the waterfront, appears to be new. Well designed and maintained both in and outside. We had a lake facing room with a large covered balcony. Hotel had a large fitness room and both indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs. We had a very good meal at the onsite restaurant of grilled chicken with an asparagus mushroom sauce along with a large salad. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. read more

I love staying around the Chautauqua area, and by far, the best place to stay is the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel. It's situated in Celoron right on the water. The views of the lake and the boats are simply lovely. There is plenty of lawn area, good parking, a great restaurant with both indoor and outdoor patio dining, and a bar. As it is all entirely on one floor, there are no stairways to climb or elevators to wait for. Harbor Hotel exudes a delightful atmosphere enhanced with large open spaces and a classy décor. Everything is spotlessly clean and the service is top-notch. The rooms are of modern design, extra spacious and each with good views. read more

This hotel is situated on a beautiful piece of lake frontage and has an outdoor bar, fire pit and sitting areas to enjoy the wonderful scenery. The hotel rooms and facility are well maintained and styled in an upscale coastal color and decor scheme. The pool area is very nice, both indoors and outdoors. The indoor area is decorated with old postcard art from Celoron in the Victorian era, which is charming and speaks to the history of the area. Rooms are clean, although many times I have stayed, rooms were only cleaned at check in and check out due to staffing and covid issues. I have stayed in both village view and lake view rooms and can say that the village view room savings is significant and there are plenty of opportunities to see the lake from the public areas of the hotel. Overall, this is my preferred hotel in the greater Jamestown area and often the highlight of my trip. read more

Wonderful accommodations! I loved my room...fresh, modern and clean. The mattress was comfy too! The property is on the lake and really lovely. There's lots to do. They have a small indoor pool and a small gym. Both are adequate. The meeting room was great! Large windows, actually doors, that let in light. Comfortable seating and good technology for our slide shows. Marcy, waitress for the meeting room, was so attentive. We had a colleague who made special requests that she graciously fulfilled. My only negative observation is that the front desk staff wasn't especially or friendly or enthusiastic when I arrived. They needed pep and to at least fake a little happiness when a new guest arrives. read more

This hotel is gorgeous. The rooms are spacious and the views are incredible. I stayed on the water view side and I loved my room. I had a table and sitting area in my room with a great balcony too. The hotel food was good. A little difficult with a gluten allergy but not bad. The hotel is clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Lucille Ball Park is next door. There are plenty areas to walk and sit to enjoy the view of the Lake. I look forward to returning. read more

Cannot possibly recommend this hotel enough. I have stayed here twice now and have enjoyed my stay both times. Loved the hotel so much that we chose it as our wedding venue!! The hotel has a resort feel to it - with two different bar/restaurants on site, an indoor and outdoor pool, putting green & indoor and outdoor spaces to relax. The fire tables outside are one of my favorite things!! And the view of the lake just can't be beat. The rooms are modern, spacious and feel luxurious. I loved the large shower in the standard room & on my wedding weekend, the two room suite was incredible. I was able to take a jacuzzi bath and relax the night before with a lake view. How can you beat that!! The hotel is pretty quiet and doesn't transfer much noise. Definitely go for a lake side balcony if you can. It's just so nice to relax out there and take in the views. Also the free coffee setup each morning on every floor is such a treat. The food and drink service is great. I've had a few meals here and have always found it tasty. If you're considering this spot for an event or wedding, look no further! The staff was absolutely INCREDIBLE. They were so helpful and accommodating with every question and request we had. Our wedding went so smoothly because of them. The food at our event was delicious and we had a lot of options to choose from. Highly highly recommend this spot for a regular stay or for an important event - they do it all so well!! read more

Fantastic place to stay, even in the dead of winter, we enjoyed the beauty of the hotel and the lakeside location. Situated a couple miles outside of Jamestown, it's close to the National Comedy Center and anything you might want to do in town, but feels so far removed on the shore of the beautiful Chautauqua Lake. Located next to the Lucille Ball Memorial Park and on the grounds of Celoron Park, the hotel is full of photos of the old Celoron Park and its amusements. There is a bar and restaurant on site. We didn't eat there but the bar was quite crowded on a Monday night and the food smelled great! Very reasonable rates, especially mid-week during the winter like we did. They also offer AAA discounts and a comedy center package that includes tickets to the National Comedy Center and the Lucy museum. There is even a little preview of the Comedy Center in the lobby. Our room, a king with lake view and patio was wonderful, they actually upgraded us from standard lake view to the patio room. We didn't take advantage of it as it was too cold, but it had a table and chairs which would be wonderful in warmer months. I loved the colors in the room and throughout the hotel, very relaxing and pretty. The artwork was nautical in theme and looked great. Nice sitting area with a desk with two chairs as well as a couch and table. We found the bed to be very comfortable and loved the thick comforter. Loved the shower, very roomy. One of my favorite things about the room was the mirror outside the bathroom. It had a little stool and light up mirror, my own little vanity, it was great! They offer Starbucks coffee stations on each floor, I'm not sure what time they start the coffee in the morning, but it is out until 8 pm. It was a nice set up and as anti social as I am in the morning pre-coffee, it was actually nice to chat with the ladies I met there. The turn down service with chocolates on the pillows were a nice touch also. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they greeted us every time we came and went from the hotel and did a great job going over the amenities. We will definitely be staying here again, can't wait to take advantage of summer weather to enjoy the outdoor pool, fire pits, rocking chairs on the patio and sitting on the benches on the lake soaking in the sun! read more

We spent the weekend at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel and it was great! We had a king lake view balcony room and it was worth paying more. The Shower was huge, the bathroom was nice, and I loved the vanity area outside of the room bathroom to get ready. The balcony was so so nice to have each morning and evening to relax. Coffee every morning on every floor. We got room service breakfast one morning and the latest delivery time was 7:45 Am which I found to be really early still. The breakfast wasn't anything special, the eggs are typical hotel mass produced buffet eggs. It was a special experience to spoil my boyfriend for his birthday though. The bed was really firm, too firm for us to be really comfortable. The putting green was fun and the firepits were only open in the evening if it was dry. There was a wedding while we were there so it was really busy and there were a lot of people. We watched the sunset on the pier. The carousel bar and the outdoor pool weren't open but they open May 25th. Wish there had been a full length mirror. read more

Stayed here for work and extended the hotel for the weekend. Best decision ever! The hotel was amazing. Rooms were pristine and spacious. The grounds outside were stunning with the view of the lake, fire pits, and putting course. While we were there a rib fest was going on in the park next door. I was amazed by how well the sound drowned out. I was worried it was going to be super loud. Hotel is in a great location with so many places within a short driving distance. I also ran most mornings and was very comfortable running around the neighborhood. I would definitely come here again with the family. My daughter was obsessed with the putting course! read more

There is no place like home ... but some aspects of this hotel are better than home. I was travelling for work. I stayed on both the villlage and harbor sides of the hotel. The hotel opened August 2018. My rooms had a king size bed, a couch, and a desk area. I had a balcony in the harbor view room. The huge walk-in shower is at least 7' tall ... wonderful water pressure. Turn down service every night ... jazz music plays on the TV and chocolates. This is a beautiful hotel even in the winter it's pretty! Spacious very clean room with a great view of the lake. You know it's classy when you come into your room and there's musicplaying . Okay maybe this is not important to some but it's a nice classy touch when the TP is fan folded on the roll. Nice sitting area to catch a movie after dinner in your room. Nice information pool and hot tub to relax in after a long drive here. Up scale restaurant in the hotel as well. Room service breakfast is available as well . I expected more for the price point. My family stayed in a 2 room lake view king suite and found crumbs on the floor when we checked in. The patio had spiderwebs and dead flies everywhere. We also found dead flies on the floor and in the toilet of the half bathroom. The outdoor pool was pretty small and was not very clean. The property itself was fine and the lake views were nice, but definitely not what you would expect for the cost. read more

Where do I start....VERY disappointed in the Harbor Hotel and their employees..We are scheduled to visit relatives For Thanksgiving in Jamestown and I booked 2 rooms on 6/19/23 using the Government/Military Discount cause we are DOD and Military... I received a phone call from a male employee a few days ago asking me if I knew I was booking under that discount...And I did...He asked me if I had my travel orders I said no, they said we only needed our gov/mil Id...Which we have...He then got rude and told me that his manager told him to call me to tell us we could not get that rate any lo nger cause we need travel orders.. I said 1st off nobody said anything about travel orders, only ID and why didn't someone say something BACK in June when I booked...He said idk I'm just telling you what my manager told me...I asked to speak to her and he transfered me and she didn't answer so I left a message...2 days went by and no call back...I called again and talked to a girl and she said her manager was available and I asked to talk to her...She REFUSED to take my call...I left another message and then called back, the female employee even told me she was with her manager and still yet the manager refused to take my call...At this point I am LIVID!!!....now several days later and still NO call back and she still refuses to take my call...You employees need a serious lesson in Customer Service and your manager needs fired....30 years Military and DOD and they refused to honor the original rate I booked in June and tries to put rules on that is RIDICULOUS!!!...Then to refuse to take my calls so we can discuss this is insane....I have since canceled our rooms and asked for a cancelation email TWICE and still yet to receive one and also had our other party call for an email and was told they would send one...This was last week and still NO email...UGGG what a horrible way your hotel handles Customers.. We will NEVER book any of your establishments again and will make sure everyone knows you refuse to honor Military and DOD discounts once they are booked... HORRIBLE BUSINESS read more

My wife and I don't normally vacation at resorts like this but I have to say we loved it! We had a room overlooking the lake and loved the view from our balcony! The room was spacious and well equipped. The bathroom had a large wonderful shower. We are at the restaurant three times during our stay band really enjoyed the food and drinks (great wine list with local, domestic and imported choices). The staff was polite and helpful. The concierge was extremely helpful with information on local wineries and local history. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area read more

I randomly stumbled upon this property after deciding on Chautauqua Lake for a quick, early summer getaway and am so, SO glad that we decided to stay here. Everything about this hotel was amazing and it's practically brand new, having only opened in August 2018. The staff are helpful and courteous, the facility is clean, modern, and bright, and anything we wanted to do was a mere 5-15 minute drive from here. I'd imagine this location is pretty busy once the peak summer travel season hits, but we were here early on and during the middle of the week which allowed for some quiet relaxation, extensive pool time, and a beautiful waterfront location to take in the nightly sunset. I thought someone was going to have to pry us from our Adirondack chairs! Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with modern hardwood floors and tasteful décor. Cushioned rugs are strategically placed in the room so that your feet aren't hitting a cold, hard floor first thing in the morning. Complimentary turn-down service each night was such a treat, and the toiletries were high quality. We especially loved lounging in the fluffy robes after a long day at the pool. We greatly enjoyed the outdoor pool, indoor hot tub, outdoor fireplaces and aforementioned Adirondack chairs, and the putting green. Unfortunately, I can't speak to the hotel dining as we dined off-site during the entirety of our trip. Additionally, the Carousel Bar was not open during our stay which was kind of a bummer. It looks pretty neat from the photos I've seen, but I am assuming it was closed due to the days of the week we were there and that they're open later in the week for the summer. I've lost count of how many people I've recommended this hotel to since getting home. The value in this property is outstanding, and my only regret is that we didn't stay longer! I hope to be back soon to enjoy all that this amazing hotel and the Chautauqua Lake area has to offer. read more

I was very surprised by the poor Quality of the food. There were five of us for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Two of us ordered roast beef sandwiches, two people ordered Rubens and our last person ordered a hamburger. The roast beef sandwiches were on very small buns the beef was over cooked and gray looking and very difficult to chew. The Reuben sandwiches were dry in fact one of us asked for extra thousand Island dressing though it turns out it wasn't actually thousand Island dressing it was something very spicy. So the price of $17 for each of those items was Wayover done and while we went through the one time will never go again read more

Horrible expensive on Mother's Day . We were seated right next to the door, so all the servers had to walk by us. Everyone was on their 3 rd and main course before someone took our drink order. We were served bread and salad with no silverware. Which did not arrive until our cold main course showed up. Never got our drinks until after the main course. They were seating the next round of reservations at for their meals. We never got our dessert which was not correct until table next to was served their main course....,,,,, So we thought we would give them another shot. Nope had dinner Friday night. Hands down THE BEST hotel I've ever been to! The Harbor Hotel more than delivered this past weekend. We had our wedding reception here, and with almost all of our guests from out of town, they hosted many of them in their beautiful rooms. We had the perfect reception thanks to the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel's staff. From the very beginning during the planning stages, everyone was so helpful, kind, and organized! Karen and Diandra were excellent! I can't even imagine what the reception would have been without them! They brought every single vision I had to life. The food...incredible! I don't know how many people came up to us telling us that the pork was the best they ever had. I know I'm biased, but I think it was the best wedding food I've ever had! During the cocktail hour and reception, we, our bridal party, and our parents had a personal server named Rose. She was amazing!!! She made sure everyone got their drinks/enough food; she really ensured that we were all taken care of and had nothing to worry about. She also packed an extra plate for both my husband and I, put it in our hotel room, and filled the refrigerator with our favorite drinks and extra wedding cake so we could enjoy it later! Karen and Diandra also wrote us a handwritten letter congratulating us and made a charcuterie plate to enjoy! We will forever be grateful to Karen, Diandra, Rose, and everyone else working for making sure our reception was perfect. But beyond our wedding reception, our stay here was wonderful! The rooms are gorgeous. We love that there isn't carpet; instead, the floors are laminate and heated! The bathrooms are beautiful too. The restaurant and bar at the hotel always produced delicious food and drinks. I highly recommend coming here for a date night to enjoy a cozy dinner with a beautiful lake view. Second Visit. This was for my Husbands 50th Birthday. This time, we booked a two-room lakeveiw suite. Excellent room, tasteful, spacious, two bathrooms, two televisions and an electric fireplace in the bedroom. Also it was fully furnished. Two chairs, ottoman and sofa (sofa bed), dining table for four, desk, etc. Excellent Room service and like last time, genuinely friendly likable staff. My only slight disappointment was the balcony. It looked out on the lake, but was situated next to a roof that blocked part of the lake view and noisy refrigeration units to the left. If I book a suite in the future during balcony weather, I would request a different location read more

Took my mother to breakfast today. The hostess seated us immediately. She was so friendly and helpful. However, after over 15 minutes waiting for a server, we decided to leave. Three tables came in after us. All three tables had been waited on. so disappointing as we love to go to breakfast there. We will never be back. read more
