We stopped here for dinner on our way to our hotel in Maysville. It was highly rated on YELP (we use YELP wherever we travel and it has never given us a bad recommendation). M's is definitely a little local gem. We had the chicken and sausage grits and it was terrific. For dessert we had the berry / cherry cobbler (not to be missed!!). Great little place and we would love to go back again.

Really like the shelf for makeup below the mirror. AC in room, dresser, windows fit fresh air, and chairs outside the door to enjoy. There is a nice gazebo with picnic tables, gas, and charcoal grill for use. Nice area and we felt very safe here. The owners live on premises and are the nicest and most accommodating people! Area recommendations were spot on and appreciated. Perfect location for the area. Short drive away to the National Comedy Museum, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz Museum, Chautauqua Lake, a number of beaches on Lake Erie, perfect for sunrise and sunset, beach bonfire, fishing, or swimming in season. Lake Erie wine trail starts a few miles away and continues into PA. Why pay 2+ times the rate at a name brand hotel? We know where we will stay when in the area!!

We couldn't have been more pleased with the ambience, comfort, food, and hospitality offered by Martin and Phillip. This is an elegant, first class, traditional Bed & Breakfast with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The mansion is less assuming on the outside than the White Inn, which I've stayed at many times before, but is much classier, far more comfortable, and much higher quality. Martin and Phillip create a peaceful and cozy home away from home with glowing fireplaces, soft music, bottomless cups of tea/coffee, and impeccable and creative Farm to Table meals that alone make the stay worth your while. If you are looking for an elevated experience to rest your soul and lift your spirits, you need not look any further than this quaint and charming treasure.

The beds were comfortable and soft. The shower water was super hot. The entire house is filled with Victorian period antiques. Downtown Fredonia and its National Registry twin commons has a variety of pubs and eateries an easy three blocks away. Highly recommended for a Fredonia Village stay.

Terrible stay…read more First, the good. The front desk staff was kind. That's it. They were unable to refund any of my stay however, and thus ineffective. Now I've seen dirtier hotels, but therein lies the problem. This hotel is sneaky dirty. The rug looks vacuumed but feels like it has a film on it. The room looks clean but it stank of body order. The door inside lock had clearly been banged off before suggesting we were in the ghetto. The sheets reek of bleach so much you'll wake up with a headache (assuming you can sleep). Speaking of smells, the chlorine smell is so strong when you enter the lobby it blows you over. Clean pools don't smell that way. Dirty pools they are trying to pretend they are clean do. Now our biggest issue was there a couple rooms on our floor occupied by a dance team of maybe 10 year olds and one "parent". "Parent" however did nothing of the sorts. Thea kids ran wild until midnight. The girls ran up and down the halls, screeching, laughing, hollering hours past quiet hour. Newsflash, I stopped here right off the highway to sleep, not party. They were slamming doors and knocking and making it impossible for anyone to sleep on that floor. When we called the front desk they told us others had called too. Eventually the noise stopped but we should have been compensated at this point. We got maybe 3 hours sleep before having to hit the road again. At this point I realized I can't stay in this chain again. Their client service model is not good enough. I'm too old to save a buck on dirty rooms in systems that don't care about their customers. Buyer beware in this one.

Starting with the uncomfortable bed which you can feel the springs on the mattress. As far as housekeeping is concerned, it is not done regularly like most hotels. You have to request it the day before. Even when you request it, they don't come. We had to request clean towels at the front desk because they never came to our room. Never tried their breakfast as this place doesn't look clean enough for me to eat whatever they had. To top it off, I totally understand marijuana is legal but I shouldn't have to smell it when I'm walking towards my room. This place looks like a shelter than a hotel. Do extensive research if you're visiting your college kid b4 booking here because this place is just not good.

The only thing positive is they don't have bed bugs! The pictures shown were all left over after housekeeping supposedly cleaned the room before we arrived. Mold doesn't form over night! The rooms are filthy! The hot tub has been closed for years, despite it being listed on their amenities. We come out here often to see family, after continued filthy rooms at all the hotels in the area which mind you are owned by the same family so they are all the same! We have decided to stay in Buffalo NY or Erie PA and drive the hour in! It suck but at least you will have a decent stay and won't be staying in squalor! Shame on the owners and the staff for letting the only hotels in this town look like this! Mind you the owner has pulled up in a Lamborghini to fill vending machines! So money isn't an issue! Don't take this with a grain of salt! Visitors beware!

We arrived right at 3 for our check in and received a warm welcome from Lesley complete with a review of the property and tour of the space. Very helpful to know where everything is right away! Plus - a welcome cocktail and sweet bread was waiting for us! Delicious! The room: we stayed in La Due, which had an amazingly comfortable king bed, ceiling fan, and tub/shower combo. No detail goes unnoticed in the room, the towels are soft and match the floor rugs beautifully. Robes are available for guests and plenty of outlet space for charging is around the room. A note to visitors: the shared refrigerator for guests is only a mini-fridge, so there isn't much storage space. We'd suggest planning ahead and bringing a cooler for any larger items you wanted to store - or calling ahead to see about options. When we wanted to chill champagne, Lesley was wonderful to assist us with an ice bucket and two glasses! I highly recommend a trip here - friendly, relaxing, and so comfortable!

Hand sani at every turn and I didn't see a single unmasked person throughout my stay. I should also note that the hotel was only at a third capacity, so we really didn't see much of anyone other than the staff throughout our one night stay. We felt safe and at home throughout, and this hotel put cleanline at top priority even before the pandemic. Onto more fun stuff! The staff here is top notch. So friendly and helpful and a pleasure to interact with. We brought our dog, Freddy Sue, this time around, and I would absolutely recommend this hotel to fellow dog owners looking to take their pup to a dog friendly town. It is a $70 charge which is steep, but was worth it to us in terms of peace of mind, especially with the off peak rate of this hotel on a Saturday to Sunday being $140. The beds are SO comfortable and I had such an awesome night's rest. Of course, the location cannot be beat. In the non-COVID times, we bopped from restaurant to restaurant drinking our way through the town and it was amazing to be able to come right back to the center of town as home base. For the price and guaranteed positive experience, I doubt we will ever stay anywhere else when we come to visit Ellicottville. Happy exploring!

The room was laid out wrong with a tv above a fake fireplace and a couch about 6 feet away meaning you had to look up to watch tv. As for the breakfast, it is cool food like vending machine muffins and bulk cereal. No hot food or waffle maker. Even the orange juice was little per-filled sealed cups like it came from a hospital cafeteria. They are remodeling the lobby but they should be doing something with the dated rooms. No charging stations and the couch was old and ratty. We will not be back to this place. UPDATE: I complained on my survey and was contacted by a customer service representative and they gave the company response "sorry for your bad experience we will try hard" which I replied, typical response, I don't believe you even read my additional comments. I said that there was a time when customers were compensated for bad experiences but now it is , we got your money, sorry. About a hour later a got a reply that half my money was being refunded. So at least they are trying so I changed my rating to 2 stars for the effort.

Kids playing knee hockey in the hallway and running up and down the hallway until 1am!! So much for the quiet time from 11pm to 8am! It's unfortunate that this is the ONLY place to stay for a hotel in Edinboro but I've decided it's worth the drive to Erie or South to have better accommodations. Could be a very nice hotel if it was cleaner. The lobby itself is very nice minus a broken boarded window in the front. Staff is very friendly and overall it isn't a bad place. Please just clean the mold and recaulk, would make a huge difference. Also the elevator being sketchy isn't practical when people are traveling with work equipment. I would stay again, but I would feel more relaxed with a clean bathroom.
