First room that was given to us smelled so bad. Smelled like mold and like 10 wet dogs stayed there. My sinuses were actually irritated. 2nd room they switched us to was an occupied room. We opened the door and a man asked us what we were doing entering his hotel room. Could have been a very dangerous situation. 3rd room smelled as well just not as bad as first room. We actually propped the door open and tried to air it out. Let's not forget the ice machine that didn't work. We would have stayed else where but hotel across the street was booked and it had been a very long day traveling. Never again. read more

I am only staying in this hotel for one night, so my review may not be beneficial or reliable. What I can start with is how low the rating of this hotel is. It is not a good first impression. Now, with the rooms, the cleanliness is neutral, though it is not how I would prefer it to be. There are a few dirt stains on one of the bed's blankets, the inside of the sink in the bathroom is dirty, the rack where the towels are folded has unidentifiable stains on them, and the shower floor has what seems to be some dirt stains although that will wash off once the shower is turned on. There are also holes in one of the sets of blankets on one of the beds, as well as MULTIPLE random specks of black. More emphasis on the bathroom, the tub spout sounds and feels broken once you pull up on the diverter, and the shower head is at an angle where you have to wash your body a little tilted to the side. There is no way to fix it, although the sink is clean as well as the towels, and it is very spacious. The hair dryer does not work in any way. If you shower with warm water without turning the fan on, you WILL sweat. It gets VERY warm, so don't forget to turn the fan on. The room I am staying in is overall pretty clean other than the things I listed, but just not up to my standards, yet that also depends on the person. There are no overhead lights other than one above the front door, so you have to use lamps at night. There is a microwave and a fridge, and the only outlets are on the lamps other than in the bathroom. The room also includes a handy ironing board. Overall, I would have given the room a 2.5/5, but there's no option to halve the stars. So it's a 3. I may be being too critical, but it is just my opinion. I don't have any say on the kindness of the workers because I haven't interacted with them enough, nor do I have any say on the breakfast because I have not tried it. Currently staying here for 3 days for a wedding. Have never been more disappointed in a Hampton then I am with this one! Let's start off with the arctic temperature of the halls and common areas. My wife had to wear a coat to breakfast and there were people with blankets sitting trying to eat. The stone table in the center of the room could be used at Cold Stone to mix the ice cream!!! The breakfast was of poor quality but even if you try, it's cold before you can eat it. The room is clean but as for water pressure, it's dismal at best. The sink faucet is of poor design and the water flows like a 90 year old stream! The shower head has settings that just don't work. There is s cone setting where you can get in the middle and not get wet!!! Sound proofing is another issue as it sounds like a circus of 600 lb performers are practicing above us. Checked out the pool and gym areas. The exercise room is very nice but, seems unused. The pool is old as is the hot tub. The staff seems nice enough. Bring your own snacks and drinks as theirs are incredibly high priced. For what they charge and the Hilton name, I truly expect more, a lot more. read more

We are currently staying here. All day a couple people obviously homeless have been hanging out in the lobby My wife is scared walking through the lobby..the front desk will not do anything about it Tonight when I got back in around 1am the same people where sleeping in the breakfast area on the couches. I went into the restroom in the lobby not wanting to wake my family in our room. It was filthy. Looks like someone washed themselves in the bathroom If these individuals are still here at breakfast we will find a new place to stay even though our reservation was nonrefundable This is absolutely inexcusable read more

Needed a place to stay while moving. This hotel is new (just opened in Dec 2015). I didn't expect much because, well, it's in Minooka. I was seriously wowed by this place. The lobby and breakfast area are nicely decorated and spacious. The room itself is HUGE! It would comfortably sleep 5-6. The layout was well planned and gave my kids room to move. I really like the layout of the bathroom. The water closet (shower/toilet) was in its own room. This way, I could use the sink/counter area to get ready while others showered. That was a plus! There is a small kitchen area with a sink, fridge and coffee pot. The room also has a nice size couch (with pull out bed) and chaise. Although the room is close to the highway, it was very quiet. Another plus! My husband took advantage of the weight room. He liked the equipment and said it was a nice feature. Every employee we encountered was really friendly, courteous and professional. They were super accommodating with our late departure request as well. When I first made the reservation, the price seemed somewhat steep. After staying here, I realized it was well worth the cost! read more

Found my spot while in the Joliet area! I work on the road quiet a bit and since this is the case, I have become pickier about where I stay. I basically have to live in hotels half the year now-a-days so I want certain things. This place is perfect! It has great wifi (as does every Hampton that I've ever stayed in) big comfy, clean rooms, outlets and USB ports by the bed. ( this is huge and believe it or not most places don't have this) There is an indoor pool and separate hot tub both with handicap access. There are 4 different exercise machines along with a bench, and various dumbbells and exercise balls. I forgot to mention the place is brand new, just opened in Dec. of 2015. The employees are super friendly and always welcoming. I've been here for 3 separate stays and all have been wonderful. My only complaint(and it isn't really one) is that the heater made noises that sounded like a cross between a dog being hit by a car and Mrs. Doubtfire saying " Helllllloooooo". I know that's a seriously obscure reference but it's spot on. Oh and the suites don't have bathtubs, just shower stalls. read more

The staff is very helpful and attentive. Prior to arriving I called a few times, mostly to inquire about Covid rules and using the indoor pool. Every time I called they answered quickly. It was all good. My room was clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub are nice. My six year old grandson had lot of fun. I will definitely book again when I visit. read more

This place is not getting any good points so far, mostly for service. The woman who checked me in looked like a random teenager with no uniform or identification that she works here, she had been away from the front desk and had the sign posted she was helping a guest but when she returned, she didn't say anything about thank you for waiting or acknowledging I had been waiting. Then I park in the back because she said there are usually are closer parking spots but does the back door work? Nope! I use my key and digital key several times and the light turns green but I can't open it. Mind you, I've had a long day and it's 9:30pm, I have been traveling the last 8 hours and so this door not opening after I got all of my bags out of the car is super frustrating. I tried to call the front desk which I can almost see from the back door and she asks me to hold, so finally I give up and go around the building. Fortunately the side door works but when I get in and tell her the back door doesn't work she looks up from her cell phone and says "oh, did you try turning the door handle up? Sometimes it only works if you turn the handle up". I say no and she replies "yeah, that door is weird like that...". Nothing about, oh, sorry, I should put a sign on it, or anything about my schlepping all my bags and not being able to get in the door that she told me to park next to. Who turns a door handle up?? You can tell she has zero interest in hospitality or customer service. For that reason, I will not stay here again or recommend anyone else to. I recently stayed at this location after a wedding I was in. The entire bridal party booked rooms here, and multiple people had issues with check in, myself included. I booked a room 2 months in advance & when I called to confirm (even though I already had a confirmation email) I was told that I didn't have a room reserved for me because I booked through a 3rd party website. After finally finding the room I booked, the hotel charged my credit card a second time, even though I had already paid when I initially booked. Actually getting through to someone when I called to explain my situation was also way more difficult than it needed to be. I was not impressed at all. read more

We stayed here while in town for a funeral. If I could give this hotel 10 stars I would! My husband and I stayed in a king suite. My sister stayed in the adjacent king suite. We are experienced travelers and this hotel was AMAZING!!! We would like to personally thank the front desk staff, Lindsey, Sam, etc. who made sure that our stay was peaceful and comfortable since we were in town for a sad occasion. Every single staff member that we saw greeted us with a smile, hello and and offer of assistance. The service was incredible. The mini market in the lobby was amply stocked with a variety of snacks and refrigerated items. Even wine, champagne & beer! Our room size was very generous, the towels were soft & the products were Neutrogena. The silk shantung curtains were gorgeous. The bathroom had plenty of privacy and a sliding barn style door! Free wife, of course. The decor is modern. Very clean lines. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was luxurious. After the sad emotions of the day, we napped and slept soundly! Big flat screen TV. And the sofa was very well made and comfortable! The counter area where the refrigerator, coffee maker, & microwave are located had a granite counter and a bar sink! The light fixtures were unique and not all matchy. It was a quiet hotel and very relaxing. I wish we'd had time to take advantage of the pool and exercise facility. We were always in a hurry each morning, so the wide variety of breakfast options (included!!) was greatly appreciated. A different egg and meat option each day. Hard boiled eggs, breakfast breads, sweet rolls, cereals, hot cereal, yogurts, juices, 24 hour coffee, fresh fruit, toppings, spreads, etc. Very well presented. The main room hosted a business center, TV's, and ample bar-type seating along with separate dining tables. It was so comfortable, we stayed up until midnight one night just hanging out and watching funny SNL videos on the computer! I highly recommend this hotel! read more

A newer hotel in Minooka Illinois, my recent stay here the room was clean and meticulous, the only thing this hotel is lacking is customer service from the front desk. On several occasions I went down to their snack shop to pick up a couple items and there was no one at the front desk to pay so I finally gave up. My last complaint on the front desk is that there was nobody at the front desk to check me out the morning I left, I had to call the hotel back to notify them I had checked out. read more

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful and check in was a breeze. The whole hotel was very clean and our room was beautiful. The bed was also very comfortable. The outlets to plug in electronics are on the front of the bedside table for convenience. The only thing I found slightly odd was the the bathroom door didn't have a lock. I have never stayed at a hotel that didn't have a locking bathroom door. The breakfast was very good and there were a lot of options. The swimming pool was very warm and probably the warmest hotel swimming pool I have been too. Whenever there was a small issue like no towels in the pool area the staff quickly fixed it. read more

I was apprehensive at what I might find checking into an unknown place. What a delightful surprise. Every employee greeted us happily. Every employee had a smile on their faces at all times. You could tell they were happy with their jobs. The entire place was spotless. The beds and linens were so luxurious, I felt like royalty. The continental breakfast was the finest I have had in all my travels. The staff is to be commended. . . I don't want to ramble on, but I could seriously keep going on.
