We just got back from a short vacation with our children. Overall, the hotel is a good place to stay. Pros: -Room was clean and housekeeping does not enter during your stay. If you need anything extra, just ask. -Morning breakfast every day and had a decent assortment. The hot options changed every day. -Staff was friendly and very helpful with questions -Shuttle to bring you within 5 mile radius of hotel -Great location, south of the boardwalk and the more crowded area of Myrtle Beach -Great kids pool area Cons: -Pool towel situation needs better organization. People were grabbing more towels than needed and then the supply was gone for others -There needs to be a pool area attendant. Kids taking lazy river floats to use in main pool, people smoking next to a "no smoking in this area" sign, kids jumping in an already crowded pool read more

Good hotel. Although, a little bit expensive for what you get. A buffet breakfast is served to all hotel customers. This hotel gives out cookies and lemonade at 4PM make sure you stop by when they are warm and fresh (flavors are various they have Peanut butter, Macadamia, Chocolate dough with white chocolate chunks, chocolate chip, and raisin). I recommend grabbing a bowl from the south tower breakfast area and just grab a whole bowl of them. Check out the 14th story on both the North and South tower for a relaxation lounge that I though was really cool. If you are driving make sure you bring some umbrellas and chairs, as the beach is not owned by the hotel and you have to pay to receive chairs and umbrellas at $40 dollars a day. The beach is a lot more peaceful after 7PM and is open all day. A few things that should be considered or added is more security around the hotel's premises. Some homeless people walked in and cussing and started eating some of the breakfast. Also, the south tower needs to be renovated, their is only 2 elevators for 14 stories with each of them having lots of rooms, the wait should be handled. read more

Both times we've stayed in Myrtle Beach, we've stayed at the Hampton Inn Oceanfront. We had paid for this stay with points Upon check-in they even acknowledged that we had been there previously (5+ years ago!), and let us know about some of the updates since we were last there. My kids enjoyed the free cookies, and I enjoyed the awesome view of the ocean from the front lobby. There was ample parking in the parking structure. There is also a new Walmart a block away for all of your beer drinking needs. We were up on the 10th floor with an Oceanview. It was stunning and my wife and I spent some time out there enjoying the scenes. Our room was clean, but a little tight for our family of 5, but we were going to be sleeping here, not living here. Only downside was that the AC unit keep leaking condensate (water) on the carpet. Initially, I blamed my messy 7 year old. Breakfast was good. Since my kids and I were up early to beachcomb, we were among the first at breakfast. The food was typical Hilton Fare. The pools were still awesome. We didn't spend as much time in them as last time we were here, but the covered ones are a godsend to shelter us from the mid-day sun. We did not use the spa or the gym on this visit. read more

I stayed at this terrific hotel a couple of years ago and loved it so much, I only wanted to stay here again on this visit to Myrtle Beach. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated in a very beachy, nautical way. I loved the rockers on the balcony and the beautiful clear ocean view. This place is the best. You have choices on how you want to cool off, with multiple pools, hot tubs and lazy rivers on the property. I can't forget to mention the comfy hammocks in the pool area. I loved kicking back in the mornings on the free wi-fi while enjoying a full, hot complimentary breakfast. The parking garage is another plus. I'd give this Hampton Inn & Suites more than 5 stars if it were possible. I'm already planning a return trip to Myrtle Beach and you can best bet I'll be staying here again. Loves it!!!!! read more

Many guests did not follow covid guidelines and would crowd in elevators not wearing a mask. House keeping staff didn't speak English. This hotel is beautiful. The lobby area has a beautiful bay window with amazing ocean views. There are TONS of sitting areas to sit inside or on covered balconies and view ocean. Indoor pools as well as outdoor pools and lazy river. Our room had such an amazing view of the ocean. We were in a double queen room. The room itself was clean and sufficient for our needs. It isn't fancy and "modern" but wasn't worn down. Parking garage is a bit tight for larger vehicles. Would definitely stay here again. Due to covid there is no "hot" breakfast but there was plenty to choose from. read more

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here, the rooms are clean and comfortable, even the sofa bed was very comfortable! The price was reasonable for being right on the beach. It also has two outdoor pools, a wave pool, a kiddie pool and a jacuzzi. Even with it being during COVID they serve a very nice continental breakfast. We didn't partake but they serve fresh baked cookies at 4:00 pm every day. The only downside was that you have to rent your beach chairs and umbrellas. We felt it was a little pricey at $65 for 2 chairs and 1 umbrella for 2 days. Definitely worth staying here! read more

I've visited friends staying at this hotel and I've stayed here for business so I was somewhat familiar when I planned a family getaway for the weekend at this hotel. I booked the 2 queen room with no view. The room was very clean and had a microwave, refrigerator, small balcony and small bathroom. The room had rocking chairs on the balcony which is a nice feature. The lobby is spacious and the views of the beach are very nice. When we visited it was during the pandemic and the governor had all pools closed, but they were still being cleaned and had tape roping it off. They also were not allowed to set up the breakfast buffet so the staff had put together grab n go bags with a water, apple, nutri grain bar and muffin. The coffee stations were still in service. My only complaint is the location, it's very noisy in the evening, especially on the balcony as you can hear all the noise from ocean BLVD. The street access to get to the hotel is pretty much bumper to bumper so it's a bit of a hassle to leave to go the nicer restaurants, which are a few miles away. Overall I would still recommend this hotel for the price and beach location. Our family enjoyed this establishment! read more

Hotel beyond nice! Heated pools four or five of them. Nice workout center and business room. Free on demand movies loved that. ONLY problem I had was that there was a sign on front desk as soon as you come in. The sign was saying how committed they were to being safe from Covid and how mask required but NOT one employee had on a mask. Matter of fact the only people that had on one..guest in lobby included were me and my husband. The guy in the room beside us woke us up at 3 am with nonstop coughing. I guess he wanted to make sure that we heard him because as we were leaving he began to walk down hall coughing violently without covering his mouth. I will definitely be back but not while the pandemic is still here. Honestly, I was ready to go as soon as we got there because I didn't feel safe at all. First off the staff is very sweet, and super accommodating. We drove 13 hours, and paid a good amount for a few days for February vacation. They wanted to put us on the first floor with not much of an ocean view, and once I explained how long we drove, the women at the desk understood and stuck us on thr 12th floor. Absolutely amazing views. Breakfast was great, simple food, always hot and fresh. We lucked out and got gorgeous weather and were able to use the pools and sit on the beach one day! The rooms are definitely dated, but once you drive up and down the strip, you'll notice this resort seems to be very nice compared to others. Firm,but comfy bed. Carpets could be newer, but not anything to complain about. Overall this a great place to stay, you get what you pay for! We can't wait to come back. read more

FAYE STCLAIR deserves 10 stars!!!! Back story: I used Booking.com to get a hotel for a short weekend stay with a late arrival. When I got to this place I was concerned because it looked run down but I proceeded to check in even though the site pictures were a total LIE and went into a room that was funky with sheet rock dust EVERYWHERE. When we open the door there was a crusty dirty towel on the floor at the door and both the beds were about to fall down. Refusing to stay there I demanded a refund and checked out. Now I'm roaming different hotels now at 1 a.m. and ended up at HAMPTON INN AND SUITES BY HILTON. I am huge on customer service and I was pleasantly greeted by FAYE STCLAIR. She then asked how are you doing? I shared my dilemma and she listened. She then went above and beyond to accommodate us! I was put in a room that matched the customer service. This hotel is VERY CLEAN, well maintained, great amenities and the ocean view... beautiful!!! I am now a rewards member and will always lodge here because of the great experience I had at the Hampton Inn at Myrtle Beach. Just came back from a 7 night vacation stay at this location. Before I begin, just wanted to give full disclosure on 2 things: 1.) When travelling with family for week long summer vacation, we usually stay at resort through HGVC (members for over 20 years). 2.) We frequently stay at Hampton Inn for shorter weekend getaways, this was first time staying with Hampton Inn for a full week. We had the 2 BR / 2BA Oceanfront suite (master bedroom had King size bed, second bedroom had Queen bed and bunk beds which the kids got a kick out of!) On our last trip to Myrtle Beach in 2019 we stayed at HGVC resort, Ocean Enclave to use our Club Points. This year waited too long to book with Club Points (somewhat challenging in Covid climate) and was unable to secure resort with HGVC Club Points. Initially disappointed that had to pay out of pocket, but it was money well spent. When compared to resort at Ocean Enclave, this room was pretty much comparable for 2 BR / 2 BA suite. Terrific oceanfront views with private balcony, great poolside area with multiple pools to choose from, and just steps from the beach! To be honest, I think we enjoyed the poolside environment here more than Ocean Enclave. As we've discovered recently at other hotels in current Covid climate, no housekeeping service during your stay, but if you need anything just let them know. Everything went seamless with this - at one point switched out towels, just leave dirty ones outside door and they leave a sealed bag of fresh towels for you! In addition, housekeepers in hallways that are cleaning out vacated rooms are always helpful and accommodating with providing anything you need (toilet paper, bathroom toiletries, etc). Staff is incredibly courteous, polite and friendly. Special shout-out to Pam - always hustling to make sure breakfast items are promptly refilled, and after breakfast wraps up, she is down at the pool making sure fresh towels are readily available! Her vibrant energy always put a smile on our face! Downstairs lobby / lounge / dining area is gorgeous - certainly the nicest I have ever seen for a Hampton Inn! Typical Hampton Inn breakfast was awesome as usual - hot trays of egg & sausage, make your own waffles, muffins / danish / breads / bagels, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruit, and various juices. Coffee / tea is available 24/7. One nice perk about this location is that they offer a complimentary shuttle. Did not take advantage of this since we drove down, but it is certainly nice to know in the event we decide to fly down and stay here again. Shuttle takes you anywhere in 5 mile radius, and that certainly covers a lot of ground for great dining / shopping / attractions (Broadway At The Beach, Market Common, Sky Wheel / Boardwalk, Myrtle Beach State Park), plus they offer the shuttle service to/from airport! If you drive there like I did, there is plenty of onsite parking. For extra wiggle room and plenty of spots, go right to the 3rd level (rooftop). Another quick tip - no need to come down with a ton of food for your stay...there is a Walmart Neighborhood Market right down the block. Full sized supermarket including beer / wine, with the great Walmart prices! Overall this was a terrific experience and the suite exceeded my expectations. We will certainly be staying here again when we return to Myrtle Beach. Awesome job, Hampton Inn & Suites!!! read more

I had a 3 day stay and was without a tv for 2 of those days. I called he front desk to request an engineer come to the room to try to fix it. Lady said he is on the way. Never showed. The next day I went tothe front desk and asked for an engineer, her repsonse was, "He called in sick today". They didn't have any rooms to move me. Stayed here Easter weekend and it wasn't quite what we expected. The hotel itself was nice, albeit dated. The rooms were clean and customer service was acceptable. You're literally on the beach so the view is superb. A few cons: 1. The showers are somewhat small. 2. The pillows are horrible; very flat which made for a bad night's sleep. 3. The area has numerous hotels lined up on the same street and some appear to be seedy with suspect guests hanging out front. At times, some of them even blocked the entrance/exit to our hotel. 4. The streets were very congested and it took a long time to get to short distances. The streets are also poorly lit at night. 5. The elevators were very rickety and seemed unstable. read more

Except for the sliced almonds & raisins; everything has an after taste... The eggs are not quite real, the fruit may be out of a can... taste not quite right... The banana was good, the boiled egg not bad... Yogurt, well it's packaged & full of sugar... No meat, on a Keto diet, not a good thing... they had the usuals otherwise; oatmeal, pastries (mostly packaged), bagels & cook your own waffles.... all carbs, unfortunately... Cheese for your eggs, pats of real butter, sliced almonds, black & blonde raisins... Perfect spot for a beach vacation!! If you're going to the beach and want someplace that's totally relaxing then this is it! Be sure and request Oceanfront not Oceanview thru the hotel. Room was perfect and listed as oceanview which I thought would have been total view but we ended up on the end of the hotel with a partial view. Had a balcony with 2 rockers. Airport shuttle thru this hotel plus a wonderful hot buffet breakfast each morning. Lots of cozy family areas to eat, play cards or just sit and relax!! Cookies and lemonade each afternoon. Second year in a row my wife and I have stayed here in January/February. We really enjoy coming here with friends for a few days. The hotel is not an a "Typical Myrtle Beach" resort but has a nice home feel about it. The hotel for the two years we have stayed has always been well kept up and the rooms are well maintained. Housekeeping is in and out very quickly so long all day weights for fresh towels or bedding. Breakfast is always good and great variety. Parking deck looks small, but plenty of parking in the off season. Although ramps up and down deck are a bit tight. Hotel is less than 5 miles from restaurants and entertainment. But there is no bad view when your room is oceanfront and I enjoy the rocking chairs on your porch. read more

I stay at Hamptons a lot, and this one is much like all the others. Clean, nice rooms, good breakfast layout, easy parking, quiet (that last part is important in MB). However ... I also expect free wi-fi. Being charged a daily rate for a room this expensive is just petty. I also expect the restrooms in the common areas to be kept clean. Here, they weren't and one of them was disgusting when I went in. Another time it looked as if it hadn't been attended in many hours and it needed to have been. The late afternoon cookies aren't up to Hampton standard. read more

Stay at this hotel! Traveling w/ a 2 year old and a 16 year old, this hotel was just about perfect. We were deciding between this and Breakers and this was the right decision for us. Breakers pitch was that it was in the middle of it all. Well, after seeing "it all," I am glad not to be in the middle of it. This part of the street is filled w/ ultra cheap gift/surf shops. Lots of pedestrians walking and a little trashier than I was expecting in Myrtle Beach. A 5 minute car ride will get you to this area. The boardwalk, sky wheel, amusement park, haunted house and old time photos were places we hit that were right next to Breakers. But I am glad we weren't there all of the time. Skywheel is $13 and worth visiting. Sit on the side facing the ocean. Back to the hotel.... the Hampton's staff were polite, breakfast is included (but no bacon) , the pool area stays clean and the parking garage is free. The rooms are big! We had an awesome view and AC works well. We loved being on the lobby level. High traffic times can make the elevators get a little busy. But we are taking a 2-3 minute wait so no harm done. We paid an average of $350 per night. Bath and shower, sleeper sofa, 2 balconies and full size frig/kitchen. read more

The staff is friendly and coffee and hot chocolate are available 24/7. That is the only positive. The hotel room was super small with a bed that was like sleeping on a stone tablet. If you have never been to Myrtle Beach, save yourself the trip. It was like living in a retirement community. The "Boardwalk" area and all of the hotels on Ocean Blvd were straight out of the late 70's. Next spring break we will head for some other town along the east coast. read more

Big warning. This hotel's beach front is right where a storm drain dumps storm water into the ocean!! Really?!? This is allowed? So, last night's rain water brought a lot of cigarette butts onto shore. No wonder the water in Myrtle Beach is murky compared to Ft. Lauderdale. This is not Ft. Lauderdale. We hadn't been to Myrtle Beach in 20 years, so we decided to try here this year. In summary, we will be returning to Ft Lauderdale next year. This hotel is nice and clean and nicer than any other Hampton Inn I've been in. We got a nice 2 BR suite with great 11th floor ocean view. A few nits about the room. The airflow within the rooms is not consistent. The family room will be chilly and the bedrooms warm. The refrigerator is not full size and doesn't include an ice maker. Really? The free breakfast is sheer madness. Lukewarm food, people hovering over waffle maker, just a mess. Head over to Croissants for breakfast instead. Amazing Very clean rooms especially the bathrooms. They could scrub the bathroom grout better but that's just the way I am at home. The gym is fantastic. It's clean and has a lot to offer. I love that they have a water dispenser because I didn't have a water bottle. They also offer towels which is another huge plus I looked at the pool and it seems nice. We are here for the beach so I doubt I will be in the pool. The breakfast is nice and has a good variety of food. Also good food for the kids. I wish we could stay here longer on vacation I would have given this place 5 stars, but I cannot I called last night to get a few more pillows since we are a family of 5 and we didn't have enough. I called and they told me to come to front desk. I've never had to go to the front desk for anything I'm used to having someone run it up to my room. I was already in pjs and I spent my son to get it. Other than that I am enjoying my stay here. read more

The location of this property is just perfect. It's right on the beach. Parking: there is a parking garage free for guests. Check-in: a little disappointing. No recognition of my diamond status, no water bottles, no little snacks. I booked a King oceanfront room and they offered 2 full beds with oceanfront view or one king with no view. I was here for 4 nights, so I took the oceanfront room, but was very disappointed. Room: Well, since I didn't get the king room I originally booked, the room was very cramped with 2 queen beds. The tiles in front of the door were very slippery from the humidity. Room was clean and comfortable. I just wish that rooms with 2 beds were a bit larger. Property: there are 2 lazy river pools outside, 2 pools and 2 hot tubs inside (although it's very humid inside). They were restoring the lobby floors when we were there in January so getting up to our hotel room was not fun! We had to take the stairs or elevator to the second level, walk across to the other side of the hotel to take another set of elevators. Great location, beautiful but simple property. Hilton convinced me to stay here indicating that this is a "full service property that is not like other Hampton Inn's", so I was expecting more, which is why I was disappointed. Day two we get ready to walk out the door there was one on the wall, later that evening we go to bed with a roach on our head board and in the bath room there were two more. Nice place on the beach. Breakfast is ok. They had complimentary cookies the first day we arrived. Not sure if it's just a wknd thing. They should have them out at the same time. But anyway it was nice. We were very upset and disappointed with their "complimentary welcome gift". This was just a mere sales pitch for their time shares. Very deceiving! The lady was nice and she was only doing her job but we didn't appreciate having our time wasted with this. At first we were going to sign up for this 90min sales pitch but then she had us sign and answer some required questions that I thought were irrelevant, such as income, for a presentation. Then she asks us for a refundable $20 to hold our spot! Obviously you don't show you lose $20! We finally said forget it and asked for our welcome gift to which she replied "oh this is it", pointing to a lousy coupon book!!!! As a HH member I did not appreciate that. First let me say this was a beautiful, clean hotel. Nice amenities except two glaring mistakes. Opening the hotel with no restaurant and the flexible schedule of the outdoor bar. In this part of Myrtle Beach a restaurant is sorely needed in the hotel. There are two mom and pop restaurants located down the street that are open with limited hours. The hotel "bar" is hard to find, located at the end of the pool area and is small and not dependable. We travel a lot, are Hilton Diamond members and this hotel is clean, has a gracious staff, but is not up to the Hilton standard. We have stayed at three other Hilton facilities on Myrtle Beach over the years and will return to those instead. Maybe give this place a few years to get everything in place before you try it. read more
