This has become my go-to place for staying in the area. The employees are super friendly and helpful, they shuttle you to the airport and let you park your car for a nominal fee. The room itself was clean and decent! Breakfast was good but, the General Manager Jamy Belcher is the most dishonest manager I have ever dealt with. This incident stems from my wedding night 2 weeks ago in which they don't ask for proper identification, their security policy is non existent and then they check you in to the wrong room and then lie through their teeth about things that never happened. Interesting how you could lie about a bride in a full blown wedding dress checking in the night before when I wasn't even there yet, and lying that my husband and mother in law were extremely falling over drunk when that was NOT true. Oh and coorporate has failed to even see of any wrong doing from this particular "managers" point of view. Protect their own is how I see it. Incredibly disappointed at how companies don't do anything unless a video of the incident is posted on social media. Oh and before I get the same automated response, save it! I didn't enjoy staying there, YOU ARE NOT here to make our stay great and you don't value feedback. EXCELLENT!!!! I can't say enough wonderful things about this place! Very clean, free breakfast, free coffee/tea/hot chocolate all day, free wifi, pleasant staff (other than the lady working the breakfast buffet). We ordered pizza from NYPD nearby, FYI it was amazing too! Total shot in the dark but definitely a new favorite! There's a ton of choices though nearby, and you could even order from the hotel's order in menu, which was quite extensive! They also allow pets if needed! read more

In times like these of COVID, I am extremely disappointed with this Hampton Inn and they by no means exemplified anything close to Hilton chain hotel quality. We along with many other family members have stayed at Hampton Inns in the past with no problem, so when choosing a hotel while in Arizona for my nephews graduation we figured they would be great and meet or exceed expectations. This was far from the truth. My daughter has a lung disease so sanitation is of extreme importance during this pandemic. They assured us they were doing extra to ease our concerns. We showed up to our hotel in the late evening and as we were walking to our room, the elevators had dead bugs on the floor and the carpet had debri on it that both remained the length of our 4 night stay, despite the fact that they said they were "cleaning" common areas nightly. The bathroom was clean for the most part, however the room we stayed in had a toilet that would only flush after multiple attempts. We woke the first morning expecting to find the provided breakfast which we knew was not normal and had to be COVID compliant with pre-packaged food, however all that existed was oatmeal and Greek yogurt pastry things and the area the food was kept in smelled horrific, like garbage. After bringing this up to management, they said that was all they could do...really?!? You are telling me that normal prepackaged cereal and breakfast bars and fruit is asking too much for a HILTON chain. Unacceptable and a poor representation of service. Lastly, no worker should enter a room until we departed due to COVID and we especially were concerned with this due our daughters lung disease, we even put the do not disturb sign on our door...well of course the last night before we were checking out, we walk in to our room to additional towels and toiletries...meaning someone had entered our room and disrespected our wishes and COVID compliance. After all of this, we will be taking our money elsewhere and ensuring that all of our family and friends are aware of how disgusting, disrespectful, and lacking concern for medical risk/quality that this hotel portrayed. My husband and I just got married at our home in Gilbert. We are originally from North Dakota and had a lot of people needing hotel accomadations and shuttle service. Back in 2011 I was working for the US Forest Service at the Tanker Base out at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and had to find a place to stay. A few of my fellow aerial firefighters suggested this hotel. I was glad I did. The rooms were great, everything that I needed to shop was nearby, and the staff was great. The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, but the walls were so thin that we could hear the conversation in the next room. It wouldn't have been so bad, but the conversation was nonstop from 3 to 6 am. At about 3:30 am I called the front desk three times before he finally answered the phone. We explained the noise was keeping us awake and asked if he could do anything about it. He said he would come up and take care of it. I doubt if he even came up, because the noise level never let up until just after our alarm went off at 6 am. Never again will we stay in this hotel and we will warn all of our friends who visit to stay away from this poorly built hotel. read more

Our Church group stay here often when we have out of town guest come in and our conventions, the Manager Jamy has went above the call of duty to make our stays there enjoyable and stress free. When you fly from out of town tired and stressed walking into the Hotel is like a breath of fresh air, the staff is very professional and courteous and always pleasant and smiling. Perfect place to stay the night before an early flight out of Mesa Gateway Airport. Took 5:30am shuttle and was sitting on the plane at 6am! Customer service was excellent. Pool was nice. They offer a free shuttle to both the airport and local shopping mall (San Tan Village). This was a great added bonus. Only concern was preference as our bed was incredibly firm. I was staying at the Hampton Inn with my 3 children while my floors were being worked on in my house in Gilbert. I was placed in a room with a connecting door to the adjacent room. The doors were so thin that it felt like the people beside us were in our room with us. We could hear them talking, coughing, watching tv late at night. we just returned from a 7 day stay at this location. i had reserved a king accessible room because the extended stay rate was $69.00 per night. when we checked in i asked how much extra the cost would be if we upgraded to a studio suite with a coach, mini refrigerator, microwave and small area with a sink. the cost was $10 more each night!!! what a steal!....... this location offers the great amenities that hampton inns are famous for.....hot breakfast..including waffle batter to make belgian waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, 2 hot items each day, instant oatmeal,danish, eng muffins,toast, bagels etc. one morning we arrived at the end of the 6:00 am-10:00 am daily serving time and the fresh fruit was gone. i asked the breakfast attendant about getting more??? she went in the back and came out with my own bowl of fruit! so much that i couldn't finish it all.....so i asked for some plastic wrap and brought it back to my room for later. there is a small store which carries snacks, sundries and beverages. no charge to park your car....no daily resort fee, free wifi throughout the hotel. comfy hampton beds.....with a nice card stating that comforters, covers and blankets are washed before each new guest stays in their room!!! that is a huge plus! the 42" tv was fantastic!! reason enough to want to stay here:):):) the lobby is bright and has coffee, tea, apples and a few bananas available 24/7. if you miss breakfast or just want a snack on the go....there are bags at the front desk that have an apple, kelloggs special k bar, otis spunkmeyer muffin and a small box of mints!!!! there is a 24 hour business center on site with 2 computers, 1 printer, and office supplies like paper clips, pens, hole punch.....you will need your room key to access the computer area as well as the hotel lobby after midnight i believe?? there is alot of different restaurants, fast food, banks, stores if you continue north on market st to the san tan village area........or if you turn left at market st and val vista dr and proceed south to east germann rd, turn right and travel approx 3-4 miles there is a huge shopping and dining complex called crossroads towne center. this area also has a movie theater. along with every good review..there is always something to be improved on......some hilton family hotels do not offer safes in their rooms and this location does not have an in room safe. i wanted to bring my ipad with. i feel better locking the ipad in a safe when i am out of my room. i did find out that my trip insurance i purchased covered my ipad if it was lost or stolen so i brought it with. an in room safe would be a good addition to rooms on a pay per use basis. also, the juices at breakfast as not 100% juice...rather high fructose corn syrup based. i have food sensitivities to hfcs so serving 100% juice would be a better choice and more healthy too. this hampton location is in a new area not recognized on a gps. we had alot of trouble trying to remember we couldn't use the hotel address. when i went to the computer room to use mapquest...2 times the printer was on "sleep" and wouldn't reboot:(:(:(. the swimming area is very small..... overall a great stay for a great price staffed with great employees!!! a very clean hotel top to bottom!!! read more

I stayed here to attend a 2-day training at nearby InData. I appreciated how helpful and friendly all the staff was. After check-in they knew my name. I felt very welcome, and happy by the upbeat atmosphere. Good breakfast with coffee and tea available all the time. Excellent options as far as what's in the area, in terms of a grocery store within walking distance and a great outdoor mall (in Arizona in July-- HOT). It was so nice to be able to take the shuttle everywhere I wanted to go. My room was very comfortable with a mini-fridge and microwave. I'd highly recommend this hotel! read more

These folks provide the most outstanding customer service I've seen in a long while. It was a great location for my needs, near Mercy Gilbert hospital, clean and comfortable, but the people and the thoughtful extras were really special. I needed, and received, a last minute crib, a brown bag breakfast to replace the one I missed, early check in, special help at the included buffet breakfast, and a toothbrush for the unexpected overnight stay of a grandchild. And breakfast was way nicer than expected. I love this place! read more

Very disappointed in the service we experienced. The facility and the cleanliness was very good and typical of a Hampton Inn. We booked for 5 nights but had something come up after our third night and had to check out. We were going to be back the following day and wanted to stay back here again. The clerk confirmed our check-out and with minimal hassle confirmed that he had made a reservation for our return the following day. Upon our return, we were notified that we were never checked out and that we would have to pay for the night we didn't use, even though we had been told we had successfully checked-out! Complaining didn't help and we were tersely informed we were simply out of luck. When we went to check out after the last night of our stay we were asked if we wanted a receipt. We said yes since we probably would need it to protest being charged a night for which we should have been checked out. We were then told that the printer was down and that they would email it to me. That was 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for my receipt. In short, our stay here was not great and not fun. Will check out other options more closely next time. read more

A massive power outage forced us into a hotel for the night to escape 110 degree heat. This hotel was close and within our budget. We try to go with any property under the Hilton umbrella and are usually not disappointed. This was the best Hampton Inn we've stayed in. New, clean, and extremely quiet. Our neighbors took the room next to us. We couldn't hear a peep. No slamming hall doors, no sounds of neighbors running water, nothing. Great air conditioner, ice cold. Lovely dining room for morning breakfast. Great shower and nice bath supplies. The staff were all friendly and joked with us. If I had to find something wrong, I'd say the room was on the small side, but everything else outweighed that. Close to shopping, lots of restaurants. You won't be disappointed. read more

No stars , five caution marks. Very bad experience all around. We were booked in a wedding package for the 4th of May. Additionally we booked for the 3rd. Upon arrival on the 3rd,Eddie at the front desk could not locate my reservation on the computer. He could do nothing for me without a conformation number which I did not have. After much hassle involving a call to my daughter, who was busy with her next day wedding arrangements. The unapologetic Eddie, finally found my reservation which somehow was erroneously made for the 4th and 5th. I was told the Inn was full and I was out of luck,(in so many words). After my insistence Eddie booked us into another hotel which had actual suites and much better accommodations. We were allowed to check in early the next day, after a call to customer service in India who notified the Hampton Inn. No actual direct phone calls to the Hampton Inn. Our so called "suite" was a room separated by a table with a couch on one side and a bed on the other. The table lacked a lamp but retained some bolt holes. The refrigerator lacked refrigerant and did not work. We phoned the front desk and asked for a suit as was contracted for. The curt reply from the front desk was, the room I was in, is a suite. I also complained about the refrigerator. I was given the ridiculous explanation that the refrigerator did not cool well because it had no freezer. I had no time to hassle due to imminent wedding preparations. Plus after dealing with their bungling of our reservation and the dismissive, absurd ineptitude in dealing with customer service, I digressed. We put a bag of ice in the refrigerator to keep our food cool and carried-on with our wedding preparations. Be prepared for poorly maintained, amazing amenities, inhospitable and incompetent staff. They did comp the room which was already comped in the wedding package. The bed was nice and I had a good breakfast. I dislike hassling with the uncaring or the incompetent. We held a strategic planning meeting at the Hampton Inn/Gilbert. The staff was friendly and helpful. We arranged for both breakfast and lunch to be provided in the spacious breakfast area. This was a great option because the set up for lunch didn't interrupt our meeting and allowed us to recharge in a beautiful open air setting before continuing our meeting. My Family and I stayed in this hotel think that they would withhold the "Hampton" high standards. Boy were we wrong!!! First and foremost when I called in to let them know my parents were checking in a couple of hours before my husband and I and i was told i was booked in that hotel with 6 different rooms and that my card didn't go through for so many rooms, But a hold was still placed on my card there for i was left with less money to spend on my trip!!! The lady who helped me followed through and removed this to just 2 different rooms. I was like fine people make mistakes. The night before check out my husband went down to there shop to purchase some milk for our 2 kids. The lady who help him didn't ask if he had a room or not just assumed she had not seen him in the hotel and then proceeded in charging him for a room. My husband is from South American descent and according to everyone in this hotel there was a "slight language barrier" How do you go from milk to i need a room!!! Can anyone explain that to me?? My husband was racially profiled maybe because he went down with a rag shirt and shorts? O and by the way the lady who did this to my husband claimed my husband claims my husband might have been under the influence! That was the icing on the cake! Now another 80 something was put on my car on hold less money to spend on my trip. At the end of my trip my father comes up to me and claims his card was also charged for a room when both rooms had already been paid for on my card!!!! it's been over a week now and my father still hasn't had those funds released, he's had to dispute this transaction with his credit union. Now I've been pinballing from person to person and all they can say is I'm sorry and all they are worried about is the money. How can i explain the sour taste in my daughter's mouth asking why are people mean. How can i just let this pass by for what they did to my husband. I am a hard working American and with a line of serving military family. We don't deserve this! read more

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at this hotel on our way back from vacation since it's near the Mesa, AZ airport. The hotel was nice, very clean, had bottles of water in the room (always a plus in my book), but that's not why I'm giving it 5 stars. Let me preface, I don't think I've ever rated a hotel five stars, even the best resorts typically will still only get 4 from me. So why did I give this hotel 5 out of 5? I, like many of you, have left items (phone charges, curling irons, shirts, socks, etc.) in hotel rooms by accident. This was one of those times, I accidently left my cell phone charger in the room and didn't even realize it until I received a call from the hotel. They notified me that I had left my charge in the room (I hadn't even gotten home an unpacked yet to find out that I forgot it there). So, they get 5 stars because they found it, notified me immediately, and I didn't need to stress out about it when I found out on my own because the situation was already resolved. Now this is TOP NOTCH customer service. I wish all hotel chains took a lesson book from this Hampton. Thanks again to Yolanda, the manager there for great service. I will definitely stay at this hotel again if I'm in the area and will recommend to others. read more

Just what you would expect from a Hilton property - well trained staff, reasonable prices and consistent, clean comfortable rooms. Large roomy bed in our standard king room, soft clean cotton sheets, excellent AC, fantastic view of the valley from the room, enjoyed the flat screen TV and cable, the internet was blazing fast, and all amenities were in perfect working order. Breakfast was delicious, although the food was wiped out quickly by a group of kids on Spring Break, so seconds were not an option unless we were going to wait around. We opted to grab a bagged "to go" breakfast and were checked out in under 20 seconds. Slept like a baby with no loud noise despite the proliferation of spring-breakers. Parking lot was well lit, and many good restaurants nearby, of all types; Chinese, Mexican, American Grill, chain cafes, and fast food. Close to the I-60 Superstition Freeway. Worth the money, would go back gladly. read more

Many wedding guests stayed at this hotel because they sold us on their shuttle service to the wedding site. However didn't work out as planned. Driver didn't read the posted signs at the wedding and drove to another area. She actually blamed that on the wedding staff for directing her. Than their pick-up times at the end of the wedding weren't kept so guests rode with the bride and groom when they had a special vehicle. When we emailed Hampton about the disappointment they reached me by phone and emailed a lecture to me, at least four times. The manager had the poorest English and infractions in her writing and clearly anger. Hampton also promotes 100% satisfaction or your money back, but that didn't happen. Oh, the shuttle is complimentary with so many rooms booked, so who makes the profit. I'll purchase a service and stay at another hotel now more than ever because how the two staff responded. read more
