Stayed here for 5 nights. After checking in at the front desk, we went upstairs to our room. Did an inspection of the room only to discover dirty and stained bed sheets and pillowcases! The bed had a blood or poop stain. Gross and disgusting! Went back downstairs and asked for a new room and was told they were "sold out". Only resolution was for me to play housekeeper and change all 8 pillowcases and the fitted and flat sheets for both beds. Anyways... 2 queen sized beds, room was spacious enough for 3 people. They use the big pump-topped bottles for toiletries instead of the single use bottles. The shampoo ran out after the first night. Standard breakfast choices: eggs, bacon or sausage, cereal, waffle, yogurt. Parking lot was big, never had a hard time finding parking. They should have more garbage cans, hotels usually one on each floor and near the exits. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE-SMELLY ROOMS, POOL BROKEN, RUDE and ABUSIVE MANAGEMENT, and DECEITFUL BUSINESS PRACTICES The first two rooms were smelly: one with chemical exhaust from the broken pool directly below, and the other with animal smell and heavy deodorant spray, plus the rudest and most inept assistant manager and front desk staff who were verbally abusive, and clearly do not know the definition of hospitality. This was the worst hotel experience ever! They ruined my (senior) mother's birthday which was to be an expensive (overpriced but I would have been okay with this had the experience been better) pool and hot tub weekend for the girls. The front desk staff and assistant manager were liars and the absolute rudest and most verbally abusive people I have ever encountered in my life. The pool did not work and they promised it would be fixed by the next morning, which was a lie. but after some of my party who had traveled 6 hours checked into our two rooms, I ran into some staff in the parking lot who told me that the front desk had lied to me and that they already knew the pool was not going to be fixed the entire weekend. I could have so easily moved to the Fairfield across the street if they had been straight with me, but they knew once we checked in that we would be charged (and they overcharged my credit card with actual/not pending charges immediately before services were rendered). My room had chemical exhaust coming in from the pool which was below me, and the staff told me it was dangerous, yet the front desk person argued with me about switching. They overcharged my credit card over $600.00 and did not agree to the reservation price I confirmed over the phone, and I had to dispute it with my credit card company. TERRIBLE! We saw literally a luggage cart come in with tons of pet carriers with animals in them and they were okay with this. Unbelievable! I love animals, but seriously, this is not the place. Hotel manager and owner never called me as promised either. Hilton (Hampton's Parent Company promised me a free night at a different hotel but they never followed through). A TRULY SHAMEFUL DISGRACE FOR A BUSINESS! read more

This is my second time staying at Hampton Inn and I'm truly so comfortable here. Being greeted by Jennifer at the front desk counter is so nice and so helpful. Then you have sweet Diana taking care of the breakfast area and making sure you have everything you need greeting you with a warm smile and keeping the dining hall and the lounge area cleaned and organized. The breakfast was really good. One day they offered scrambled eggs, bacon, seasoned potatoes and two types of waffles along with your bread and muffin staples. Another day it was frittatas-so good and sausage and the plain and chocolate waffles. The bedding and beds are clean and comfy and the bathroom is clean, spacious, great lighting, nice toiletries and well this hotel is just overall great. You will see a lot of staff moving along the hotel always cleaning and keeping things neat. My only "booo" moment was the person who checked us in on Friday afternoon. He wasn't friendly and when we spoke or asked him a question he would look away or reply with a tone as if we were bothering him or annoying him. I'm guessing maybe he was just hungry lols. Idk but I will definitely be coming back when I'm in the Plattsburgh area. read more

Very clean, great service from staff. Checked in on Tuesday with my family while moving in my niece to SUNY Plattsburgh. Karen and Lori were very pleasant, patient and very sweet. The breakfast was hot and quite delicious. I was very surprised especially since I'm not a breakfast person and I actually ate it all. The rooms were very clean--only one complaint was a small stain on the sofa and found a plastic bag behind the fridge. The fridge in our room also wasn't working properly and we had to wait until the morning for repair but front desk did offer to have our food moved to employee lounge fridge. Lobby was very clean social distancing in place. Overall great experience and look forward to staying here again. read more

This is a very clean establishment! We stayed here for a night in August,2024! We had requested early check in to which we were told they won't be able to accommodate us! We still reached around 2 pm (check in was for 3 pm) and decided to check to see if we could at least have one of the two rooms! Guess what? Karen at the front desk was an angel! I have not met someone so warm and welcoming in any hotel front desk in a very very long time! She not only let us check in early, she was super nice and offered my kid a cookie and Swedish fish! Spoke to us warmly with a sunshine of a smile! Makes me realize that such warmth is something we are losing these days! I would recommend this Hampton Inn to everyone I know and I am sure they will have a stellar stay just like us! They have a great complimentary breakfast spread which cheese eggs, potatoes, bacon, usual cereal, fruits coffee and tea! You can make your own waffles as well and it is very clean! You can also have lunch and dinner near by or order Uber eats! Perkins is particularly good! Hampton Inn Corporates should make Karen their brand promoter or something coz she is exceptional and kind! read more

We stayed here for one night. The cost was $300, because of the fall season. The customer service was excellent. The room was large and clean. Bathroom is also clean. The Wi-Fi worked well. I would say the continental breakfast was not what I expected. There was not much of a choice. They did not offer pancakes and the oatmeal was watery. I stayed at other Hampton Ins, where they have offered a greater variety of breakfast servings. Nevertheless, this is a good hotel and I do recommend staying here whenever one is in Plattsburgh, New York. read more

This is the first time I stayed in a Hampton Inn and I was quite surprised and impressed. The staff here is very attentive and quick to service you. This place had a decent gym and a pool with a hot tub. The only thing with the hot tub is that it wasn't too hot, so I was a little disappointed. Now the room was pretty nice, the bed was comfortable and big if I might add. You get a flat screen HD TV and the room is pretty spacious. I also, liked the desk area, the setup was nice for you to be comfortable to do work. The bathroom was clean and big, you can just tell this hotel is not more then 2-3 years old. Many of these hotels out here are outdated. But that is obviously not the case here now. One last thing this review was based on just a standard room, so I am guessing the upgrades are even better. read more

Went to this hotel the first week it opened and thought it was wonderful! It was clean, the beds were comfy, the room was cozy, the bathroom was really modern and nicely decorated. The breakfast room feels really modern ski lodge like. The breakfast was good and had a lot of variety. The pool area is really pretty with really nice lounge furniture. I would say this is one of the best hotels in Plattsburgh. Do try it out you won't regret it:) read more

There is black mold in every bathroom I have pictures as proof the coffee pots are never cleaned urin stains on most mattresses also mold in the ptac heating/ac unit also they are approximately 15 years old and are pieced together most of them do not heat and alot of guest have complained wallpaper peeling off the wall and paint in spots maintenance man very creepy always watching people in the pool I would rather stay in a cardboard box than to have ever known this place existed check your health after staying black mold is harmful and a lawsuit is the right thing to do read more

Although the amenities are fine at this establishment, the manager is one of the most unprofessional people out there. At our stay ( July 12-14) we experienced poor service. First, we had to have our key card rekeyed twice to eventually discover the room we were trying to access was already occupied Second, first one then both elevators went down. Apparently not unexpected by employees as they said this happens when the hotel has a higher occupancy level While trying to resolve our complaints, the manager answered my call once but never answered or returned a single call thereafter The headquarters were then contacted-- again, very unresponsive I am still waiting 4 days after their policy of a 72 hour turnaround for phone inquiries There are several other very nice places to stay in Plattsburgh--I would advise you avoid this Hampton Inn read more

Meh - I have been to many other better Hampton inns. This one was just dingy feeling, which was odd to me since it was listed as Plattsburgh's number one hotel on tripadvisor. That being said, I guess Plattsburgh just isn't a place many come to visit? We had a huge room with no closet and just a vacuous space. While I understand it's the handicap accessible room, it just felt awful. Also- our window had zero view- and I don't mean that we looked out into the parking lot- I mean we literally had it obstructed so badly that we couldn't even tell what the weather was like outside. Breakfast was your average continental spread, meh. Coffee is weak and bad tasting. For what we paid, I really was expecting more. I've paid for less at Hampton Inns in many other parts of the country and the rooms were way better and much more comfortable. This was a huge let down. I wouldn't come back. read more

Rooms were small and out dated. Pictures on the website are deceiving. Beds super uncomfortable. Pillows were horrible! Had the worse sleep ever. Because of COVID I wiped everything down and my lysol wipes came up dirty! Not sure what their definition of clean is but it certainly isn't my definition. Breakfast was decent. WOW! I checked in last night and Jordan was behind the counter. Not only does this gentleman knows his job and performs it well but you can tell he likes his job. The hotel industry needs to study this guy and do a Meyers Briggs test on him and look for personalities like his. As I write this, it's 3am, and we're waking up in our hotel room in a SWEAT because the air-conditioning is run by a motion sensor on the door, where our movement cannot be detected WHILE WE ARE SLEEPING. We're here for a death in the family, and cannot sleep in comfort. We had the SAME issue 6 weeks ago when we were here for the birthday of the grandfather who just passed. I complained bitterly then, and they sent us a gift card for a free night. HILTON - you guys need to fix this. Now. There MUST be a way to disable the sensor. We're paying 200 a night per room. This is unacceptable. To anyone reading this... Prepare to sweat in the summer, or freeze in the winter, if you sleep at this hotel. I'm going to update you daily on this. We are in room 421, and it's Sat-Sun of labor day weekend 2015. Six weeks ago, we were on the opposite end of the hall on the same floor. A studio mini-suite. UPDATE: The hotel manager who was on vacation emailed immediately and sent up a technician who disabled the dreaded sensor, and the next day we slept in COMFORT. Kudos to Karen Peng, and the folks from Hampton and Hilton for an immediate response. read more

We travel often and have been to many hotels. We always stay at Hilton affiliations as we own a timeshare with them. While this hotel was clean and convenient for us, the customer service was not at all as expected. No friendly smiles when you come in, actually we had to wait about 10 minuets for someone to come to the front desk. Our room never got cleaned, we had to ask for garbage bags, towels and toiletries. We didn't want to leave things a mess. When asked about it no real reaction. I will go back because of convenience but don't expect anything else especially since the General Manager was the one up front. read more

Sarah and Carrie at the front desk made this such a fulfilling family night. The room was a King suite, with extra everything. Sarah made my 3 little girls feel like true Princesses. Hot tub was the icing after the warm pool in the middle of winter. Staff made sure we had all our desires covered and set us up at Unos about 50 steps away. As a 4 year Diamond - yes, this makes my cut as a top property. maybe the previous Diamond member needs to get out more :-). read more
