Disappointing. Flying into LGA and making my way to NJ made for a long morning/early afternoon. All I wanted was to settle into my hotel room and relax for a bit. The hotel location is convenient to car transport if not the most alluring of locations (think 'office park'). But you're in Teaneck, not Midtown Manhattan so you should already be fine with location. I was. I was not fine with the level of service I received during my 3-night stay. I walked in to be greeted with attitude. Far from indifference, this was hostility. I didn't understand. I, literally, walked out of my rideshare and into negative body language (pursed lips, eye rolls and neck movements) and dismissive language. What made it worse was that at this time, I was close to Diamond status. This is a perk of membership? I wasn't smiled at, greeted, told about the hotel amenities, food options, or, even, offered water. Unacceptable for a hospitality business. The frustration continued with my mid-level room with no view. At first I was just happy to be in a room. This one had a decent size and I liked that I could stretch out. That's when I noticed multiple grains of rice on the floor. Was this not cleaned? The bedding didn't have visible stains but that's not dispositive of cleanliness. My fears were deepened when I went to the bathroom and discovered hair on the shower products. I contacted the front desk. No apology. No new room. Housekeeping came up (eventually, not immediately) and went through the motions of cleaning the floor and bathroom. I asked for a towel set from the cart. I slept in sweats, socks, long-sleeved shirt, and do-rag to minimize the amount of skin that touched the sheets. Again, no visible stains but I don't know if it was laundered (given the state of the room). 2 stars because I didn't leave with a rash. Faint praise, I know. read more

I've stayed at both Hampton Inn & Homewood Suites. I'm usually in town once or twice a year over the last 11 years The breakfast is very good. My first morning it was cheesy eggs, breakfast potatoes & a bagel & cream cheese. The 2nd morning oatmeal, yogurt & a pancake. Pretty good breakfast setup. No bathtub, shower only. The staff is really the standout here. Always friendly and helpful. I wish they had a restaurant that served food as I usually arrive late and starving but I've learned to plan for it. read more

Chose a 2 night stay at the Hampton Inn, since I remember having good experience staying at the Homewood Suites over 2 years ago. The room at Hampton Inn was not as huge as the Homewood Suites, but it also cost less and it was just as nice and clean. And had a spacious bathroom. Worked out great for the 2 adult + 1 kid stay. The valet attendant was super friendly, as well as the lady at the check in counter. I did not have to use the valet, and was able to self park inside like before. Lady said the hotel was not too crowded so shouldn't have any issues finding space inside, and she was right. Felt right at home driving up the ramp and into the parking lot and navigating to the Hampton side elevators (discovered there are 2 separate elevator locations when stayed before at Homewood Suites and one time used the Hampton elevators to arrive at the floor that I didn't recognize, lol!) Parking levels 2, 3, 4 but I was able to find space on level 2 the first night, and level 3 on the second night when came back late at night. No problems and parking spots are wide enough to fit cars easy enough. I think maybe I paid for parking before, but it's free now so that was probably another factor in me coming back to this property. I didn't get to go breakfast last time, but this time got to check it out and it was great! Had all the basics. Heck, even the basic bagel with cream cheese was surprisingly good. I didn't realize until the 2nd morning, but there was breakfast on 2 sides, one for Homewood and one for Hampton. First morning did not know and used the Homewood side (it was quite classy and nice). And noticed the signs and went to Hampton side the 2nd morning. Food was equally good, maybe the same, not sure. Anyway, will def keep this property in mind for any NY area trips, since it's so modern and clean and priced competitively for this Teaneck/Fort Lee area. read more

This was the nicest Hampton Inn I think I have been to. It was also one of the most inconveniently placed hotels I have stayed at. Hubs decided to stay somewhere close to my parents and chose this hotel. Since the last hour or so of our drive consists of just crossing the bridge into the Bronx, it's nice to break it up from the many hours we already drove. We arrived mid evening and had to valet our car because all the self parking spaces were already occupied. We had the digital key so I went upstairs with the dog and some belongings while hubs took care of the valet stuff. I was immediately impressed upon entering the room. It was huge and lots of floor to ceiling window space, I mean it's Jersey and there's not much to view but I'm sure during the Fall, it's gorgeous. This was probably the most busy and chaotic breakfast I have ever seen. This is a big hotel, that obviously occupies an abundance of people, so one would assume there would be ample space for guests to eat breakfast. No. The seating area was decent but the area to get food was so small in comparison to. It was like a little room that maybe you could fit 20 people comfortably. With all that being said, there was only one person working, who was working her ass off trying to replenish everything. She was unable to get anything successfully completed because people kept interrupting and requesting items. Then we saw this ahole yelling and berating her because he was waiting for something in particular. I later went to the front desk and informed them of what an excellent job she was doing and some small man was throwing a tantrum. They appreciated and said they would pass along the compliments to management and the employee. Besides the breakfast chaos, the staff were nice. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk allowed us to have a late checkout but the valet was unaware so hubs had to go and get everything taken care of. We definitely will consider this location for future stays. read more

The best things about this hotel is the security, and the ladies at the front desk-Tatiana and Kim. From day 1 we experienced problems. Buckle up because this will be a long review but worth the read. Day 1-Check-In was fine, got a nice little Hilton Honors welcome bag with snacks in it. However, when we got to the room (room 540), my son noticed a few ants in the bathroom. I killed them and looked around to see if there were more. There weren't. Tip: this hotel is split up by Hampton Inn Suites and Homestead Suites. If you book a room at Hampton Inn and use the elevator for the Homestead Suites, you will not be able to get to your room. You will need to use the right elevator depending on which hotel you booked. Then there was a table in our room by the window that typically would have a lamp or a light nearby. Nothing. The room already didn't have a lot of lighting so sitting at the only table in the room with a chair, was a bit frustrating because it was so dark. We also realized that the water didn't get hot, only slightly warm. I needed hot water for a warm compress for my face. The water was so lukewarm that by the time you got the washcloth wet and took it out of the water, the washcloth would be cool. I had to use my portable steamer that I was traveling with to get the washcloth warm enough to last longer than 3 seconds. Day 2: We saw more ants in the bathroom that morning so we called the front desk and they told me they were sending someone up right away. That was around 11am. We waited hours and no one showed up. My son was sitting at the table in the room (where it was dark) and he dropped something. Upon picking up the item that he dropped, we noticed more ants! So we tried to see where the ants were coming from. We had to use the flashlights from our phones to check the floor to trace the ants (because remember it's dark in that area where the desk is located near the window). We pulled the curtain back and saw crumbs behind the curtain that were flooded with ants crawling all over the crumbs. I called the front desk immediately to let them know. They said they would send someone up right away (again). But this time I asked them to switch our rooms. They obliged and put us on the 15th floor. FYI-we were told by the engineer that the ants were coming from our window because our window was level with a patio style roof that was made of rocks. Tip: DO NOT stay in room 540 Day 3: We were in our new switched room and saw that it was setup exactly like our last room EXCEPT-it had a light where the desk was located! Just where I said our last room had no light there. We went out around 8pm. When we arrived back at the hotel around 9pm, we drove around the parking garage for almost 20 minutes trying to find a space or see if anyone was leaving. We eventually had to park on the street near the residential homes. It was quite a walk as it was chilly out, we had bags, and I was with my elderly mother and toddler. When it was finally time to checkout, the morning of checkout around 10am, housekeeping just walks in our room without knocking. Keep in mind that checkout was at 12 noon. I go to take a shower and turn on the shower to find no water is coming out. I turn it off and turn it back on.....nothing. I try the sink faucet and it works but the pressure is low. I go back to the shower in disbelief and frustration and turn the water on again. This time I let it stay on for a few minutes and then finally little droplets of water started to trickle out. The pressure never did return to normal and was still not that warm so that was an unpleasant shower. Upon checkout, the host at the front desk (Tatiana) asked about my stay and I explained some of the mishaps we experienced. She quickly apologized and gave me extra hotel points for my inconveniences. Things to know: Security is good. You need hotel room keys to enter into the hotel from the parking garage as well as to use the elevators. There is a parking garage but BE WARNED, it's not that big and parking can fill up after 9pm. You will be forced to park across the street at the Marriott or choose street parking near homes. Valet is available A small bag of Dorito chips is $5. The regular size bag of M&M's is $4. No microwave in the rooms. Only one in the lobby. Elevators have a longer wait long time when you're on the higher floors The elevators for Homestead Suites do not take you to the rooms for the Hampton Inn and vice versa. read more

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars as it was almost perfect. Pros: 1. It's one of the cleanest Hampton Inn I've ever seen. 2. Breakfast was really yummy and the breakfast staff was attentive and nice. 3. Beds super comfy! 4. Quiet stay! 5. Bathroom was clean and good shower pressure shower head was higher up so it's great for tall people! Cons: Really rude front desk person on the night shift. She was so sure of herself and tried to tell me I wasn't an honors member when I asked for my complimentary water, and I quote "you not a member go buy water at the treat shop." I had to laugh at how she said it cause she was so sure of herself. I asked her to look again and she simply said "oh" and gave me my water and didn't even try to apologize for trying to play me with her snark. My partner and I laughed it off but the interaction is what took their rating from a 5 to a 4. Maybe she was having a bad night or something but other than that the entire stay was great and comfortable! *There was a sign that says they charge $15 for self parking so keep that in mind if you drive in* I will note that this is one building with two hotels in it so as you walk the hallway you see signs for Hampton in and Signs for Homewood suites but both sides look nice and clean either way. read more

Following up from my last review I posted - which I'll leave below in this review for context- I received a callback from this hotel. First it was a different "Manager" named "Kim" apologizing for the "misunderstanding" and excusing the charge. Then I received another call from another person saying she was Genesis - that was who I allegedly spoke to earlier- except that it wasn't! I immediately noticed the difference in the voices. This lady was so nice and had an accent (Spanish, Hispanic or Latino - sorry I don't know which is correct and don't want to be offensive) but the first lady I spoke to this morning, who was rude, had no accent at all. The voices were completely different! This Genesis, called back because she's the Manager and got word of the issue and wanted to know, from me, what happened. I explained everything to her and told her that whoever I spoke to earlier around 10:26 AM today was rude, said she was the manager when I asked to speak to one, and when I asked for her name she said her name was "Genesis". She told me, she never spoke to me and she was not even there! Which I know to be true because, as I mentioned earlier, the voices were completely different. It's so crazy that somebody else was impersonating her! I really hope that whoever is in charge of this hotel finds out who this was and that there consequences for this person because it is not right. I was honestly not ever going to come back to this hotel (because the person I spoke to this morning was so rude) until the real Genesis called me, apologized and cleared everything up. The real Genesis was so nice that she apologized for something she didn't even do! Thank you (real) Genesis for being such a gem! And I really hope your higher ups figure out who is impersonating you and giving a bad reputation to this Hotel. This time I had to cancel because I became sick with the flu last minute and requested if I could cancel or even just change the reservation dates without being charged. The "Manager" Genesis who I spoke to was very rude and unaccommodating. She said that "there are never any exceptions made, even if there is a death in the family, because if they make an exception for one person, then they have to make an exception for everyone." So to that, I asked, so even if someone's family member dies you would still charge them? She said "Yes". Wow - Now I understand that business is business but there should be some kind of understanding when last minute emergencies come up, especially if you are someone who has never cancelled last minute previously and have been a loyal customer for many years. I guess I should have just showed up with the flu and infected the staff and other hotel guests since I am being charged anyways. The least they could have done was try to be understanding and offer some options to try and help or at least be nice, but they didn't, and the manager was very rude and abrupt and didn't care at all to help me. As a guest, I placed my trust in your establishment. I was told my personal property--a grooming kit--was located, and now it's unaccounted for. I'm asking you to address this transparently--not just for me, but to ensure this doesn't happen to other guests in the future. The complete lack of follow-through, communication, and accountability has been extremely disappointing. Moreover, the level of customer service and hospitality at this location is far below acceptable standards. Log of Events: Friday, May 9, 2025 Checked into the hotel. Saturday, May 10, 2025 9:31 AM: While heading to breakfast, I was yelled at by a hotel cleaner, who objected to our late checkout--even though it had been approved by the front desk in advance. This interaction was unprofessional, uncalled for, and unacceptable in any hospitality setting. I immediately reported the incident to the manager, who was apologetic, but the experience had already left a negative impression and reflected poorly on staff training. 4:38 PM: Called to report my missing grooming kit. Spoke with Winfrey, who said he would check with the manager. 4:41 PM: Called back--no update. 4:53 PM: Called again--still no update. 5:56 PM: Called again--still no update. 6:25 PM: Winfrey said he would need to follow up with me the next morning. 8:33 PM: Received a call from Winfrey--no grooming kit found yet; he said he needed to speak with the cleaning staff manager. 8:53 PM: Received a call from the cleaning staff manager, who confirmed that the grooming kit had been found and would be kept at the front desk for pickup. Saturday, May 17, 2025 9:13 AM: I called to confirm the grooming kit was still available before heading to the hotel to pick it up. Spoke with Kim, who said it was not at the front desk or in lost and found. While I was explaining the situation, Kim abruptly cut me off and placed me on hold without listening to my full concern--an example of dismissive and unprofessional behavior that only compounded my frustration. I requested to speak with a manager. Kim said no manager was available but one could call me back. I agreed to wait for a call. 12:57 PM: Kim (not a manager) called back to say the item still hadn't been found, and that she would check with a colleague coming in later. I have received no communication from the hotel since that call. This experience has left me deeply concerned--not just about my lost item, but about the hotel's internal processes and customer service standards. I was: Told the item was found and would be held for pickup, Given assurance it would be stored safely, Then told it had vanished with no explanation or accountability, And met with silence and indifference from hotel staff after multiple follow-ups. Additionally, being yelled at by cleaning staff for using a front-desk-approved late checkout, and being cut off mid-sentence and placed on hold while trying to voice concerns, highlight a broader problem with the lack of professionalism and hospitality training at this location. This behavior reflects poorly on the hotel's integrity and guest care. I hope this review encourages better training, stronger internal communication, and serious attention to how guests are treated so that no one else has to go through an experience like this. read more

There is one person going shower slow and the automatic doors are taped off making it nearly impossible to accommodate someone with a disability or an injury. 5 people in line and nonsense of urgency to get people checked in at the end of the night. We stayed here for a national bodybuilding show held at the Marriott across the street. It was very clean and stay was attentive and courteous. Breakfast was on point as well. Pros: Clean Amenities are decent Price point was great Breakfast hours are extended (6am-10am) Coffee, tea, hot chocolate available in the lobby for free. Free valet parking Cons: Not much around that area in walking distance TV in room only has basic dish network. No ability to add or login to apps like Netflix etc. Would return again if I'm the area. read more

Friendly front desk check in. Clean room...my kid said it smells "fresh"...better than her regular comments at other hotels. Loved the gated free parking. Check into hotel first, your room key gives you access to the garage. For Hampton Inn guests park at the far end of the garage which are closer to the elevators. Not much to eat around the hotel. Good value for an over night stay before my Manhattan cruise. Free breakfast was nice... eggs, bacon, oatmeal and waffles (there was more but that's what I ate) Check out in the morning was uneventful. HORRIBLE SERVICE, When i booked online it let me book even though i was under 21 years old, and I drove 6 hours to New York just to get to the hotel and for them not to let me and my friends check in, even though we got someone, an ADULT that was 21+ to check us in but short Africa American lady with curly big brown hair was giving me and everyone else a very hard time. She was telling us lies, making up rules that didn't exist like a 21 year old had to be with us in the room even though, no where in the policy does it state that!!! She also offered us no solutions shutting us out and being completely rude. We also tried to rebook it with the correct regulations but the lady didn't allow it. She also refunded our rooms without informing us and also didn't tell us that we were receiving our money after 7-10 business days. Me and my friend were left stranded in the lobby for 5 hours trying to find every solution possible so we didn't have to go home, but lady kept shutting out every solution we had even though we were being responsible and respectful. We even asked her for help for looking for other places that took 18 year old but she didn't give us the time of day. She was very disrespectful but when other people would come into the hotel, it was like she was a completely different person. We didn't understand because online it let me book the hotel but to drive 6 hours and not be able to check into the hotel i had ALREADY booked AND payed for really made all of us upset. We had no other solution so we decided to leave and when we were leaving the lady was smirking at us and staring. All we wanted was a break from work and life itself but unfortunately because of someone's bad day, that wasn't possible! read more

My husband and I had to stay in this hotel for one night due to having a wedding nearby. The price was great and the room was very spacious. Upon checking in, Joseph D greeted us and was very knowledgeable about everything. I had mentioned that my brother in law was also staying in the hotel, and he immediately checked to see if we could be placed near each other. Speaking of my brother in law, his room with his girlfriend unfortunately had AC that was not working, and Joseph quickly changed their room for them with no issue. When we got to our room, it was very clean and as previously mentioned, spacious. The bathroom had a ton of space, and the room had a million available outlets, which is a huge plus for me. Everything was great, until we got back to the room after the wedding. I will preface what I am about to say by mentioning that it was about 105 degrees all day, but when we got back to the room, it was very warm. We dropped the air as low as it could go, but we were very uncomfortable all night. It seemed as if the air wasn't even on or that it was on like a motion sensor because the second we got up and were moving around the room, the air kicked on stronger and cooled down. Unfortunately because it was so warm all night, I barely slept, plus I found the pillows to be very uncomfortable. Had the pillows been softer and that air working better despite the heat wave, this woulda been the perfect spot! read more

I reserved a room for someone in our company. They charged the room to the company credit card as well as the guest's credit card (even though the guest wasn't supposed to give their card information since we had signed an authorization to charge the company for all charges) . I tried calling 3 times to request a credit. The hotel picks up the phone, says "hold on a minute" without asking whose calling and then they never pick back up....I was on hold for 20 minutes all 3 times before I gave up. My boyfriend and I chose this hotel for our valentine date. Upon arrival the staff was extremely kind and the rooms were spacious. The room was clean and well decorated and we were greeted by all of the staff. However, the day of checkout, my boyfriend and I stepped out for a drink. We placed a privacy please sign on the door, that way we let housekeepers know we do not want anyone in our room. We returned to the room and were welcomed by my gifts being thrown out as well as toothbrushes and alcohol. I called the front desk immediately letting her know about the situation. She was apologetic and let me know that she will be calling the manager of housekeepers and hung up. I was waiting for an update for over an hour. My boyfriend and I decided to just checkout. He then re explained the situation to the woman present and she told him that she will be calling in 30 minutes to update us about the situation. We received that call to be told that they got our stuff out of the garbage and we could go back and pick it up if we'd like. That was no where near what we were expecting. Reimbursement (we had all receipts), Hotel credit or something of that nature might have been a much better choice. Retrieving items of your guest from the garbage and offering them back (chocolate covered strawberries) is unsanitary regardless if it was food or not. Overall, it was a good stay but we will have to reconsider about going back. read more

Last time I was here I stayed at the adjoining Homewood Suites - they are connected and share the front desk, pool, fitness area, conference rooms, bar (drinks only), and the amazing front desk staff. Jojo and the others always greated you with a smile whenever you walked by, and wanted to make sure my stay was perfect - including handing me a stack of delivery resturants as the only close by is at the Marriott across the street. They both have separate dining areas with a fireplace in each, and the Hampton has it's normal breakfast food and coffee bar - the kitchen and dining areas are well sized with lots of seating and seating options. The hotel opened mid-2018 and the room furnishings are well appointed, with the hallways wide, well lit, and good signage. Definitely a nice place to stay if in the area. read more

If you are disabled, old, or short then getting in and out of bed is difficult, frustrating and uncomfortable. This is a new hotel, convenient access into NYC using NJ transit. Rooms are comfortable and service is great. Standard hotel buffet breakfast, however, the service staff is exceptional. Free parking, quiet room, perfect for short stays going into NY. Also close to Rt 80 and 95 for travel options. read more
