This place has become my go-to hotel whenever I am visiting NJ/NY. The location is super convenient--right off major highways, close to Korean Town, and with a bus stop right next to the property that takes you straight into NYC. It makes getting around really easy whether I'm heading into the city or staying local. The hotel itself is consistently comfortable and reliable. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and well maintained, and the staff is always professional and welcoming. My most recent stay was extra special because the hotel was hosting the Korean soccer team--such a fun and unique experience to see them up close! One thing that could be improved is responsiveness to service calls. I often find myself having to go down to get assistance instead of being able to reach someone directly by phone. Go anywhere else but here. Don't waste your money. Overpriced garbage hotel. Also Don't bother upgrading for the m club lounge. Was a joke. We stayed for 2 nights. We booked through Marriotts website. My husband, my 6yr old son and myself stayed in a 2 queen room and chose to upgrade to the m club lounge. The description has it listed as free hot buffet breakfast along with grab and go snacks and drinks. After arriving we asked where breakfast would be and were told in the main restaurant. We arrived in the morning and were told we needed vouchers and that the buffet in the lounge was closed since it's only early morning hours. Turns out the gentleman LIED because the person who called them from Marriott corporate said that this hotel does not do any breakfast buffet and instead you go to the restaurant where everyone else goes to. They gave us 2 vouchers and I asked about my son and was told the breakfast is only for 2 people. We had to pay $19 for him which was ridiculous since during the booking and now if you view the same room accommodations it says NOWHERE that it's only for 2 people. Never have I been to a hotel that has breakfast included but not for all the guests. I didn't want to make a big deal so we paid and then called Marriott and were told the same thing and that we had to speak with the hotel. I said I didn't book with the hotel I booked online and nowhere does it state that this upgrade was for 2 people only. I was passed on to a supervisor who contacted the hotel again and said they would take care of it and give us the 3 vouchers and refund us for the breakfast that we paid for my son. Did they do that? Of course not. We had to go back to the lobby to get the vouchers. And deal with another rude woman who claimed the same thing that it's only for 2 people but gave us the 3 vouchers. I was so disgusted at this point that we didn't even use them the following day. We checked out and went to a much better restaurant for breakfast. The buffet they have is just like any other hotel. Eggs made in a bag. Tough sausages and bacon, stale pancakes and muffins. It wasn't even worth the time I spent complaining about it. Also our cards for the m club kept not working and had to ask them to fix on 3 separate occasions. The m club lounge is ridiculous at this hotel. What do you get for it? Gummy bears, m&ms l, granola, stale cookies, bags of lays potato chips, yogurt but no spoons available and frozen desserts in the evening. I saw other marriot hotels show much better selections including hot food and appetizers and fresh juices. That is what I was expecting and instead all crappy kid like foods. This place is so poor in service and amenities. You would get better food from a gas station. The rooms are nothing to speak of. Clean but basic. Our family had a perfectly lovely experience on a recent trip to the Teaneck Marriott. Room: + Well-appointed rooms without any concerns whatsoever. Staff: + From the front desk to the M Club lounge, we had good interactions with everyone. Food: + We ate at the M Club lounge (evening appetizers, which were enough for a meal) and Pancetta (breakfast). Both were excellent. Elite recognition: +As Titanium, we were given access to the M Club lounge (main floor, right next to the check in desk). As noted, their evening appetizers are heavy enough for a meal, with good variety. For breakfast, we were given 2 buffet breakfasts at Pancetta. Room was upgraded to a higher floor. read more

Attended an event at Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe recently. Food served is what gives banquet food a bad name. With some exception, much of what was offered was done with little effort or thought of satisfying the guests. Pass apps had no selection and were very bland....like chicken on a stick. Flat bread was a nice idea but was room temperature, at best. Was as if I was eating leftover pizza. Sliders mostly bread with little meat and also, not hot. The carving stations were ok as was the pasta but nothing terrific....just ok. read more

Pretty clean, friendly service, limitless amounts of parking, and great access to a real gym facility it shares the peppery with make this a great place stay. Was part of a large group reservation and booking through any billing questions weeks after the event were seamless. Easy access to NYC can be had with bus stations literally that stop at the hotel. Rooms are quiet and well insulated and heat and air conditioning can be adjusted to a wide range. Shower was hot with good pressure. Would stay again for the right price. read more

Went in to use the restroom while waiting for our tesla to charge when the front desk employee came up to us and said if we didn't have a room we had to leave. No customer service at all and very rude. Then proceeded to mumble something to another employee. We understand it's after hours and we weren't there for more than 5 minutes to use the restroom. read more

Stayed here recently with a friend while she attended a conference. Room was clean and neat. Staff was cordial. My only concern was the gym. The hotel staff needs to better communicate to guests that it is on the property but not the hotel's. The hotel front desk did not explain procedures to guests -just gave us a QR code- and unfortunately I saw many guests take this out on gym staff. read more

Recently had an outstanding experience at the Teaneck Marriott hotel. Extremely smooth check in process with Rene and even after a few hiccups, Jennie and Stephen were quick to provide assistance and reasonable accommodations to make things better. The M Club Lounge was a nice amenity as was the Starbucks in the property. I only wish we had enjoyed breakfast more than once, the omelette I had was excellent. Rooms and beds are comfortable but the rooms are always cold.......thermostats are either limited or they just don't work well regardless of temperature set. Has a 23.00 impossible burger one night with fries. Fries were good but the bun was stale and soaking elsewhere from the onions and lettuce added. Don not recommend their restaurant. read more

We had such a good stay. One time Ron at the front desk was so wonderful. My husband was looking for a cappuccino and the Starbucks was closed. And Ron saved the day. I'm thinking this guy is great. We had our first family trip with ages ranging from a 2 year old to a 80 year old; there were 13 of us. The hotel staff were able to get us next to each other. The M Lounge had plenty of beverages and light snacks to hold us over before dinner, which was great! Breakfast was available and have everything you expect at a hotel buffet. There is a full gym (operated privately) and Starbucks on site. There were plenty to do and places to hang out on site. Oh, parking was plentiful and free!! I would have given this hotel 5 stars but 3 days after I checked out, I received an email receipt for another 3 nights stay. This has never happened before, with any hotels. Did someone use my credit card or did they make a mistake? I called Marriott corporate office and then someone from this hotel called back and apologized. They thought I didn't leave the room so they charged 3 extra nights. The guy on the phone explained and blamed the cleaning staff. Now, I'm kind of annoyed that they can't own up to their mistakes, instead accuse the cleaning crew. If the accusations are true, they need to improve their system. He said the cleaning crew did not tell them the room was checked out. But the fact that it took you guys 3 extra nights to find out that oh maybe they left? That's inexcusable. We even put the keys with the hotel room number sleeve in the express checkout box. Poorly managed system. This makes me want to deduct another star but I did like this hotel and everything was great until this excuse. read more

I've visited this location many times for business meetings with my manager who stays overnight visiting from Connecticut. Ample parking, very clean premises, friendly employees. The restaurant had tasty food and really nice service. I love the trendy look inside without trying too hard. Plenty of space to hold a business meeting or even remote work! I go to Marriott at Glenpointe for a meeting. The hotel is clean and still don't have too many tourists yet. After meeting I have food that provide by the hotel. It is ok but just not perfect. Rice is not all cooked. Noodles over cooked and no taste. Chicken and beef is good. Salad is no dressing. Pudding is too sweet too much syrup. My husband and I stayed here last night to celebrate Valentine's Day. I also needed to be able to sleep in as I'm 7 1/2 months pregnant and have a 2 year old at home. We were assigned a newly renovated room on the 7th floor. Room 702, the room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. It was a very enjoyable stay. I also feel the price was reasonable. The only negative was the room service charge was high. I ordered a quesadilla and a soup as I was starving when we got here. A $5 delivery fee was added, as well as, a 20% gratuity charge. Noisy neighbors next door but that wasn't the issue! The real issue was the walls are too thin!!! You can hear everyone's conversation next to your room and I couldn't sleep. Stayed here to attend an event in the hotel. We arrived late, but before midnight, so there were no issues with check-in at the front desk. I'm happy to say that our king room was exactly how the picture appeared on the site. The room was clean & no odd smells. There was a a coffee machine, mini fridge, & safe. A microwave isn't provided in the room. There is a public one in the "store", next to the check in counter. This, I found to be inconvenient. Additionally, you have to sign up for the free bonvoy membership to gain access to the wifi. Note, even though the site says you can get it by signing in, it is wrong, you will get charged. The front desk advised that you should supply your membership information at the time of reservation to get free the wifi. (I signed up after the fact). The hotel gladly refunded the $14 charge. Since we only stayed a day, we didn't require room service. Due to covid, only the Pancetta restaurant was open. I grabbed a drink at the bar. They are operating on a limited menu, & nothing interested me from it, so I passed. By looking at other guests' plates, I wasn't missing anything. The hotel has notices posted to wear masks in public areas. However, there were MANY guests walking around without. I'm not sure what the rules are in NJ, but the hotel wasn't enforcing masks at all. The employees were wearing masks & they do provide sanitizer dispensers & masks were readily available at the front desk. We had neighbors in the connecting room. We could hear them talking, while the TV was on, so the walls are thin, because it didn't seem like were speaking loudly. Putting a towel at the bottom of the door helped a little. We visited the fully equipped gym, that's shared by guests & another business. Wearing masks here, was required. They had a sign & it was verbally stated as well. We didn't visit the pool, but I was able to see inside from our 9th floor window. People were inside splashing around. All in all, the rooms & the bed was comfortable. The water pressure is great & the water gets pretty hot quickly. I will say, the toilet has a very loud flush, even with the door closed. The towels were clean & somewhat soft. There are USB & traditional plugs on both sides of the bed. read more

First, this review is as much about Bonvoy as it is about the Glenpointe Marriott. I stay at Marriott/Bonvoy properties from 10-20 nights a year. Mostly for work plus 1-2 personal trips. Not a lot by business standards, but multiple thousands of dollars/year, which I would think would get some sort of loyalty benefit. Started a new job in New Jersey this year and my company requires that I use TravelPerk to book stays. I have used TravelPerk to book 3 trips to the Teaneck Marriott, plus 1 trip to the Tel Aviv Renaissance. I added my Bonvoy number to TravelPerk before the very first trip but have only received credit for ~50% of my stays. I have been going back and forth with TravelPerk, the Teaneck Marriott GM and Bonvoy for months and cannot get credit for the other nights. I always get a different reason - TravelPerk is not an accepted third party (with reference to a painful policy that leaves me confused), my Bonvoy number wasn't on the original booking (which is not true), etc. I have spent probably 20+ hours and cannot get anywhere. To be fair, TravelPerk is not great either - they advertise that I get reward points for these stays - tried to solve it through them and got the same runaround. Will write a review about them as well. I should point out that I have had ZERO problems getting my points with United or other hotels through TravelPerk - Bonvoy seems to be the most difficult by far. Thousands of dollars have been spent and the hotels have gotten the revenue but somehow I only get the loyalty points about 50% of the time with a bunch of confusing and different reasons why, depending on who I talk to. In addition, the Bonvoy site hasn't worked on Google Chrome for the last two months without clearing my cache, most Marriott properties are old and outdated (Denver, New Jersey, Brooklyn to be specific) relative to many of the newer chains (Kimpton, Hoxton), etc. Why would I want to go through all the trouble?!?! Am canceling my Bonvoy credit card and switching my stays to Hyatt. read more

I spent a few night while I was looking for a venue for an event. I was very disappointed in this hotel. It seemed tired and dated. There was absolutely no sound insulation between the rooms to the point where I not only heard the person next door, I heard every single word. The front desk staff was unusually nice, but next time I will definitely try a different chain. Maybe my room was old and most of the rooms were newer, but if that's the case it was absolutely not worth the $300 plus tax per night that I spent. read more

This hotel is pretty awesome! I came here with my boyfriend, and my cousin, to explore NYC & meet some of my boyfriend's family that lives in Bergenfield, NJ. The location was perfectly suited for my needs. This Marriott is super clean and chic. If you are part of Marriott rewards I would take advantage of using their M club on the lobby level near front desk. There are some complimentary goodies like a coffee bar, milk, soda, yogurts,Chex mix & gummy bear snacks for you to enjoy. Also if you want to have a couple drinks before heading to NYC, the drinks at bar next door are a great steal. I was able to get a Moscow mule, Allagash beer, and a double shot of tequila all for $23. To get to NY the bus stop is conveniently located right outside hotel. The number you want to take is the 167. It only costs you $4 one way to get into NYC, and from the hotel you can purchase your bus ticket on the bus. The 167 drops you off at Port Terminal NYC, which has an NYC subway connection inside of the station, and is only a couple blocks walking distance to Times Square. Port Terminal is also a great place to use the bathroom for free in NYC. If you are using the 167 to come back to the hotel, you must purchase your bus ticket inside of Port Terminal. The bus will not let you purchase tickets onboard for the way back to NJ. Now, would I stay here again? Definitely, but only if I needed to be in NJ & NYC. This Marriott is a great hotel, but the customer service needs improvement. My one star dock is based only on the service desk. I had called downstairs to have my Empire State Building tickets printed out 30 minutes before I needed to catch the bus to go to NYC. After calling downstairs, I got rerouted 3x and put on hold for 20 minutes altogether. Needless to say I went directly downstairs to make a complaint, had my tickets printed out, and ended up missing the bus. I also called for towels and had two different people come and deliver two plethoras of towels. So communication could definitely be improved as well. read more

The hotel which is in the same proximity of a hospital has lots of parking but the spaces get full of there is an event. The hospital has its own reserved parking. Anyway the kids also a Starbucks inside this hotel. The hotel is quiet big. I'd come here to dine and rent a room out too. I did try the mushroom soup and it was delicious. Enjoyed a pleasant 3 night stay at this Marriott Hotel in Teaneck, New Jersey. Our room was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable. With the exception of the noises we could here in the hallway, our sleep was uninterrupted. Yeah, it would have been perfect if the room was more sound proof. The location of the hotel was right off the freeway. About a 15 minute drive from NYC. Outside of the hotel, there was no restaurants very close by for walking. Inside their property was a Starbucks, restaurant, and bar. Lots of parking available at no extra charge. A superb hotel to stay if you are in the area. read more

When you have an unfriendly service, one star experience at check in, and almost immediately disappointment that while we booked and paid for 2 rooms, they did not have connecting rooms for us (now we have to split parents so kids are not alone, or all stay in one room for the price of two), you know you are in trouble. Had we known that they would not have connecting rooms for us, we would have just booked one room. I rather not call out the person at the front desk. But Marriott must have friendlier front desk team members. That is the first person a guest interacts with. This time it left us with a lasting negative impression. One star due to the lack of gym. They share a location with a old ran out dirty gym that closes at 6pm on sundays. It's snowing outside. And the gym is closed all afternoon on sundays. You'd think a "flagship" property like this would have a in house 24/7 gym like most Hilton's do now. They definitely have the space for it. read more

In town dealing with a stressful family issue, and I didn't expect this Marriott facility to add to our stress. Room was ok. Beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, this was the only positive. Checkin was ok - given a copy of the carry out menu that's clearly out of toner and illegible. The fact that they would even give that out to guests is crazy. Then I'm told wait time for breakfast would be about an hour. No excuse for that, considering how empty the parking lot is. Do they call in someone from home if they get an order??? There's no vent in the bathroom, so very hot and steamy. A/C in the room was iffy - was set at 68, and still hot in the room. After the first night, never got room service, and no notice that wouldn't be done. Go down to the desk about 8pm, and inquire - they only offer that for over 3 nights? Wow.. Ask for towels (at least 2 in the room were dirty - looked like they got pulled off a dusty shelf or something. Asked for 4 coffees and a couple cups. Get a back with other 'stuff', but didn't notice there were only 2 coffee's and no cups until I get back to the room. Then also realize those were decaf. Go back down, and get cups, and told they don't have any regular coffee but will send someone up. Little later, get 3 delivered, not the 4 I asked for. Also found they charged an extra $50/day for 'incidentals'. Really? They have to charge me upfront, then took 5 days to get the updated charge? Was a huge disappointment that the hotel restaurant had limited hours, and couldn't even get room service for food. No restaurants in the area were open late, and stuck with fast food after a stressful day. I understand these are crazy times, but didn't expect this kind of poor service from a Marriott. And then I leave a comment detailing this after my stay, and get an apology from what I'm guessing is a corporate person, telling me they'll turn it over to Teaneck, and now 2 weeks later still no comment, call, or reply from them. read more

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend away from home. She's about to have our second child and we needed a night away without interruptions from our 2 year old daughter. The room was very nice. It had been recently updated. The bed was very comfortable and the room was actually quite large. The only negative was that the room service price was quite high as they add a $5 charge and a 20% tip to to the bill. We would definitely consider staying at this hotel again. read more

Was told upgrades are reserved for those as part of a group. Well, I am. Then was told because I was part of a group, no upgrades were available. I was charged twice what the group rate was. That was at least corrected. Hasn't showed up in my app yet. Also wasn't given M club access which I was given just last week in Houston. Not happy. As a gold elite member, I expect loyalty to be rewarded as promised. Update And now a lady behind me in line was given a room, room upgrade, and M club access and she's at my same tier level. Stayed at hotel along with 50 of my guests for my daughters wedding. Part of the booking included the breakfast vouchers for the guests. This was not ready upon our arrival. We were concerned about this and one of the hotel clerks Deborah intervened. Initially, we thought she would be helpful and provide a solution to this problem. "You need to relax. I feel as though you are all ganging up on me." Note: We never approached her for the issue but requested a manager. The manager Ron was successfully able to resolve the issue to our satisfaction but he has the misfortune of working with Deborah, who was more of a "karen" than Deborah. A bride and his father were ganging up on her? Not sure of her choice of words but as far as I am concerned she destroyed the brand of Marriott through her unskilled customer service. Incredible how Ron can function with such an incompetent staff member under his supervision. A key quality of customer service is that it is equally important managing a problem as it is in resolving it and Deborah cannot manage her way out of a paper bag. If you enter this Marriott and are attracted by its nice appearance but see someone at the check in Desk named Deborah, I hope you are smarter than I am and just leave to go to another hotel read more

I am a member of the Glenpointe pool for few years and never in such a terrible state I have seen the women's SPA room! I talk to other members and they are also dissatisfied and saddened by this service and complained Managment many times.... but everything ended only with promises.We will report about it to the head departments to solve this huge problem. read more

I stayed at this hotel to attend a wedding held here as well. So I can't say much about the hotel's pool, spa, fitness center, or other amenities. The wedding events pretty much took up most of my day. What I can say about the hotel is that it's pretty large and the service was excellent. They have a private parking lot with plenty of spaces. They are located about 2 miles from the George Washington Bridge. They have plenty of conference rooms to hold events. The room was very clean with a flat screen TV, sofa, chair, and desk. The wedding itself was amazing... about 400 people, so it wasn't small by any means. They had plenty of space for all the meals served (breakfast, lunch, cocktail hour, reception). The food was very fresh and tasty. The servers were polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. All and all, I would recommend this hotel to others. Happy Yelping :) read more

Whenever I fly in I stay at the Marriott because it's so close to the GWB. Debra at the front desk is always so helpful & friendly but this time the staff went over & above. I arrived early because my flight got in early and asked if I could check in, Carmen at the front desk said yes. Thank goodness....I was upstairs for 10 mins & heard a knock, it was Carmen. She asked if my room was fine & then said Happy Birthday and that I would be getting a gift. I was surprised because I never told her it was my birthday, she saw it on my license. I stepped out of my room to grab something to eat and when I returned...there was my gift and everyone at the front desk signed my card :) The Marriott staff made turning 50 a wonderful thing!!!! Let me start off by saying I got to stay here for free thank you to my good friends. From what I know, it can be a bit pricey to stay here. However, it is a really nice hotel otherwise. The front desk is always very polite and friendly, greeting you as you walk past or in. The rooms are clean and up to date, which are all you really require if you're staying a night. While staying here, you can easily go to the Glenpointe Gym & Spa, which has an indoor pool. If you're in the area and need a place to crash, this is a pretty good pick! read more
