    Nice King Studio
    Jason S.

If you're traveling on the Turnpike, this hotel is worth the extra 5 minute drive north on 611. I would first like to say the front desk staff, Amit and John were very personable with a no hassle, pleasant check in. The property is relatively new, well maintained, and clean. I had the king studio tonight; furniture, carpet and appliances were all in great condition. Room and vanity are well lit. Tons of parking with shopping and food within walking distance. I like this room layout. Small seating area and a bed. I definitely recommend this property over other Hampton in the area.

On the bathroom mirror is a sticker that explains that housekeeping is given every other day, which is fine with us. But in seven days, we received only ONE DAY of housekeeping, and then only because we asked for it. When we asked at the front desk what was going on, the desk clerk replied that "this is not a full-service hotel, and you have to ASK for housekeeping". Really? I've never had to ask for housekeeping at any hotel I've stayed in ever, and certainly not for one I stayed in for seven nights! And the sticker on our bathroom mirror says that housekeeping is given every other day! And as for "not a full-service hotel"?? The hotel has full amenities in the rooms - toiletries, fridge, microwave and coffee set up. They have a pool, a jacuzzi, a gym and full hot breakfast complimentary each morning. What exactly makes it not a full-service hotel?? Our trash really piled up (no one came to empty it), our towels smelled after a while (no one changed them out) and I don't like to make my own bed on vacation! Very nice hotel in general, and good hot breakfast, but the housekeeping issue really ruined it for us.

They have an issue with the fire alarm going off with showers in some rooms. This occurred after 10pm, the siren, the 8+ firefighters with equipment climbing to the 3rd floor was a bit disturbing and I'm told this happens more than not. Overall cute place but can honestly report not sleeping well here.

The location is unbeatable and it is accessible to everything that the beautiful and charming downtown of Doylestown has to offer with their bookstores, bars, restaurants, and shopping. The town even has a stand alone movie theatre. The Inn is charming, historic, quaint, cozy, and was decorated beautifully for the holidays. The Inn staff was very welcoming and warm and attached to a rustic restaurant called the Hattery Stove & Still (worth the visit). We stayed in the George Washington room on the second floor. It was a nice and quiet location and we only had a neighbor across from us and no rooms next to us on either side. Everything in our room worked to perfection and the housekeeping staff did their job nicely. There was a very visible rusted air vent in the bathroom that needed replacing and the mattress was very soft, not firm, causing us to fold into the center of the bed. There were no coffeemakers in the rooms but a carafe of hot water with a tea selection as well as a carafe of coffee in the lobby after 10:00 pm. Sadly, it is not there all day but only late at night. When our friend came down in the early morning for a cup of coffee, he mentioned it was cold and went across the street to Starbucks. The Inn does not have private parking so we were directed to the public parking lot, a half a block away, and the street parking. Parking was not free and you will have to pay during the day, however, there is no charge for overnight parking. The rates were inexpensive considering where I live in New Jersey. The price of the Inn was very reasonable and we would not hesitate to stay here again. None of these things I mentioned bothered my wife and I and we only point them out for your information only. The Inn is only 15 minutes from Peddler's Village and just a tad longer to New Hope, PA. This is a great location to stay and make the trips.

Beautiful grounds filled with all sorts of plants. There were so many flowers and plants blooming wonderfully so! Everything from corn to Dahlia! Lots of paths to walk around and get your steps!! There was also some very nice bands there performing by the covered seating. You could buy all kinds of seeds for $1.50 a packet! What a deal ! Every employee and/or volunteer were salt of the earth kind hearted . If you were tuckered out after a long day of fun, they also had mini golf cart rides to take you to the exit of the grounds and you can walk to your car freely . I would definitely come back to this place. It's wonderful to do some thing that is so meaningful to this county. The Burpee seed company is special & Mr. Burpee was great friends with author Pearl S. buck, who also lived nearby in Bucks County. I recommend it for locals and out of towners.

We bailed and parked a few blocks away and walked over. Once there, the long parking line situation was a blessing as it somewhat kept the crowd sizes not too crazy. Weather was good and the grounds were nice to walk around. They had some food trucks and a medium sized tent so you can take your food and eat (empanada man truck was quite good, as was the band that had the standup bass). They had quite a variety of plants, the kitchen garden was pretty neat for instance. The Stumpery was also pretty interesting, with old tree stumps covered in moss for instance. Overall a neat walk around a farm you can't typically access, hopefully they will consider opening up more for say a teaching partnership or limited event space, etc.

Nate was at the front desk and super nice. We got our free treat. Our room smelled good and had everything that we needed, as pictured when I booked our room online. We had a cozy night after Peddler's Village and dinner. Quiet and with an awesome comfortable King bed. We both slept great. Breakfast was so yummy! I had a bagel with cream cheese, eggs (saucer style with cheese in the middle) and two cups of really good coffee. Sir had a freshly self made waffle, eggs and a sausage patty. Lots of hungry guests were abound. I especially enjoyed meeting/petting an adorable dog that one couple had with them. For a dog friendly hotel, it was clean and had no traces of four legged friends. You'd never know! This was one of the best Choice hotel stays yet!
