This is the ceiling above the shower, the paint is starting to fall into the tub, room 220. No small clock in the room.

I would not recommend this property. The ceiling paint in the bathroom is pealing and starting to fall into the shower. The room was okay, but I stayed two nights and the key had to be reset to get back into my room for the second night...weird

The only outlet in the bathroom didn't work. The plugs-ins were so loose that you can't use them.

Pluses: The bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the shower was okay. Negatives: Our room was dirty and very dated. The entire hotel has walls, ceilings, and an elevator that are worn & smelly. It is in desperate need of cleaning, repairs, and upgrading! $135 was too much for the condition of the place. Save your money.

I've stayed at several Hampton Inn properties as I am a Diamond member and travel every week of the year. Service and amenities have consistently slipped with this chain. In my opinion, Hampton has always had its strongest suit with consistency. They are now, seemingly, becoming consistent with mediocre service, and a breakfast that I would expect at an Econo Lodge.

stopped here as we were driving through. it was late. as we got into the room it smelled and was dirty, but the sheets were clean. it was only after we got settled that I noticed that the knob on the shower was gone. the lady at the front desk was super nice and apologetic. we moved to another room, passing an open breaker box in the hall. After we got settled in the room the nice lady said there was an issue with the toilet and would move us yet again. it was late and the kid was already asleep, so we said we would deal.

This was only an A-OK experience at the Hampton in Battle Creek, where I stayed four nights. The hotel is near restaurants and retail shopping, with the Lakeview Mall within walking distance. My room was clean and the housekeeping staff did a good job of resetting it the one day I took the Do Not Disturb off, they honored it the other times it was on the door. Coffee service, plenty of towels, the bed was comfortable (though quite high off the floor) and the wifi worked well. Breakfast in the morning was consistent with the Hampton brand. Eggs or pre-prepared omelets, a breakfast meat plus bread for toasting, fresh fruit, juices and yogurts. The breakfast area was clean and well cared for. My main complaint here is the noise. This hotel is right next to the Interstate and there was a good amount of noise from the trucks passing on the highway. The situation was improved with earplugs but it was still distracting. There isn't much that they can do about it, so it's just something to deal with. Second problem is that the doors in the hallways slammed a lot. The door to my room was not completely fitted so there was some room between the door and the jamb. Still secure, but not a tight fit. Also a good gap under the door for noise. There aren't any other choices for Hampton properties in Battle Creek, so when I am back, I would likely stay have to here again. [Review 11036 overall, 809 of 2019.]

View from room 123. There is a wall. I'm not near Mexico.

I'd have to call this a mixed review at best. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and had me checked in quickly. I was given a room where the window faced a wall. Not sure if that's to give their Diamond elites more privacy. The bed was a bit lumpy and high off the ground. Getting out of bed in the morning just required pivoting and sliding to the floor. I have no comment on the housekeeping since they forgot to clean my room. I had the do not disturb on the door until 11 a.m.. I guess that suggests that housekeeping will only make up your room until 11 a.m. Fortunately I had enough towels. Breakfast was on the up side. Very friendly attendant. Nice selection of items including cheese omelette on one day and ham & cheese scrambled eggs on the next. They looked to have a nice pool and hot tub, although I didn't bring a bathing suit. I did try the fitness room which had 2 treadmills and 1 elliptical as well as free weights. These were lower model Precor units with no video and programmable options. The treadmill closest to the window was in great need of servicing. Very unbalanced. High speed running may cause it to tip over. High speed internet is free (as usual with Hamptons). Other than the person in the room over me doing the in-room Beachbody workout at 5:30 a.m., there were no other issues.

Room was fine but one of the primary reasons we picked this hotel is because of the breakfast. After staying four nights it is apparent that when the breakfast area is run by the older lady every detail is attended to before anyone has to ask. When she isn't there they run out of everything (water, coffee). The front desk doesn't intervene or attempt to help with a "let me get someone for you".

Absolute worst Hampton Inn I've ever stayed at. Staff could care less and the hotel itself is literally falling apart.

I honestly felt like I walked through a wardrobe into a Narnia world. The small sign at the drive was a bit tough to see, so as your map tells you you're close, slow down and look for the Bed and Breakfast sign. The vibe here is full on beautiful Pinterest, French countryside garden chateau. Everywhere you look there is something beautiful to see, from the outdoor pavilion to the stately rooms inside. The ivy covered buildings and gardens bursting with blooms are great backdrops for any photos. The wedding I attended was on a super hot, sunny June day, but there were plenty of amenities provided to guests to alleviate the heat: shade parasols, handheld electric fans, folding fans, and plenty of cold water. This was such a thoughtful touch and really helped make guests comfortable. The mansion in the background was a stunning view for the short but sweet ceremony. Once the ceremony concluded, we were greeted by staff members with water and wine and were directed to a courtyard for hors d'oeuvres and an outdoor bar. There were areas of shade from trees and umbrellas, which was a nice reprieve from the sun. The food was all perfectly arranged and the bacon wrapped date I had was a delicious sweet and savory bite! Molly and Jenn were pouring drinks with big smiles despite the heat. We were ushered into the main reception area -- a beautiful, airy, open pavilion -- by a tinkling dinner bell! Dinner was delicious and all staff members I interacted with were incredibly polite and professional. I was really blown away by the details and care put into this celebration at this amazing venue! Hopefully I can attend another wedding there someday. If you need a beautiful place to get married, look no further than Greencrest Manor.

Reminds me of the old route 66 type motels with actual keys for the doors! We had 4 adults in our party and the beds were nice, desk space was ample along with the amenities of microwave (which we didn't use), tv and refrigerator (we used for water). Bathroom is a bit small for 4 adults with little shelf space but for an overnight stay it was adequate. Don't expect the niceties of typical hotels but 3 packets of shampoo and 3 small bars of soap were provided. Towels were also provided. The shower was fine for me (5'2") but short for my 6' husband. However it had plenty of hot water and the entire bathroom was very clean. Check in was easy and the staff was pleasant. I didn't check for ice but there was an ice bucket in the room. Overall this is a pleasant place to stay and if we are in the area again we will definitely stay here.
