Stayed at the Hampton Inn/Ocean Springs MS location off Exit 50 (Feb 21-22) and may I say from check-in, room and check-out was . The hotel was clean. The room was clean. I like the fact there was a microwave and mini-fridge in the room. Clean bathroom and plenty of towels. Breakfast at the Hampton . Hampton Inns are usually one of my staple hotels if I can't get a Home2 or Homewood Suites room. This Hampton though is in need of a renovation. Rooms are dated and the furniture is old and chipped. The carpet is many years old. Just a lot of areas that need attention. But Hamptons are known for their complimentary breakfast and their breakfast didn't disappoint. read more

We stayed based on reviews...when we first walked through the room doors there was a sticky substance that covered the entire tile area...from the door to the are where the beds are and in the bathroom. Your shoes would stick to ground. The room smelt horrible, we had to order a room freshener. Thankfully I always bring Lysol as Clorox wipes, because I immediately started cleaning. The bathtub had most definitely not been cleaned. Im not sure what is going on with Hamptons, but that's the last one we will stay in for sure!!-and they don't have drawers for your clothes...it's like metal slide out racks like you would put pots and pans. It was the craziest thing. Don't even get me started on the lighting in the room!!! Every light on, blinds on and my travel mirror with lighting around it and I could barely see. Horrible!!! The mattresses are very firm, but overall I did sleep well. read more

Hospitality at its finest! I took a flight here due to my momma going into the ICU. I ended up staying here for 40 nights. It was the closest hotel to the hospital and I could be there within 15 mins if needed. I arrived without my family. During my time here, at one point, the staff became aware of my momma in the ICU and that I was leaving early in the mornings and arriving late at nights. The accommodations made for me were so helpful. Getting me a water, yogurt, or bowl of cereal in the wee hours knowing that I wouldn't be here for breakfast saved me money from the vending machines. When I needed extra towels, new blankets, anything, the staff was so nice and was very helpful, and with a smile. Sean and Nate worked the late nights and often seen us coming in. My family ended up going back home as my momma started to get better so it was just me again. Almost daily, they asked how my momma was doing! When momma passed away, the staff were here hugging me, crying with me, showing sympathy and really going out of their way for our family. One night while I was up late, around 1am, writing a eulogy, I couldn't help but sob. Lindsay noticed this came over, sat behind me, and just hugged me. Mrs. Tammy, while making our beds, helped me create a playlist for momma's memorial video. My family arrived back down for the funeral. Precious and Armoni loved on my kiddo and kept him company. Often times, Harley, Lindsay, Astrid, and Madison took care of us. Madison went out of her way to walk to the store across the parking lot to bless me with a flavored water that the hotel was out of. I later found out that she spent her own money! Harley came up to the room around 2am to change out shampoo & conditioner bottles for me. Ms. Iroda and Leanetta cried with me and gave me big hugs. They made sure that I had bagged towels for when my family arrived waiting at our door without even asking. I had the chance to meet Aaron, the GM, to let him know that his staff really was so helpful during this stay. It was a pleasure speaking with him. He has definitely created a culture of family-oriented staff, that work well together as a team! The staff at this hotel is an asset to Hilton Properties. and I want the "big" people to know how helpful and kind they were to me and my family. Man this was a hard review. I was excited about the friendly staff and the amazing room, the location of the hotel and all the nice things but then the atom bomb. I go to use the bathroom and I notice daisy. You ask who's daisy? That's the locks of hair pilled in the corner of the bathroom, but don't you worry it wasn't just in the corner, daisy made sure to have her friends hanging around the shower walls. I honestly laughed and said' " cleaned and disinfected for my comfort ha lies" if this bathroom was this bad what other "Covid cleaning" are they missing? I mean look I'm not worried about Covid but if I was seeing that hair I'm sure they aren't doing their job to clean. Sad just sad. Had it not been for the hair this would be 5 stars. read more

Pets allowed? Barking dog in Room 202. No ice on the 2nd floor. It would be nice to know that when you check-in instead of walking down the hall to an Out of Order sign. Our A/C didn't work in Room 201. The hallway was a stuffy, warm temperature. Our Room smelled plus there was not any sanitizer on the 2nd floor elevator exit. Hilton & Hampton Inn claim to have a sanitary environment but this location doesn't practice it. The Front Desk is nice & friendly and they answer the phone when called. read more

I'm just updating this review. I've been frequently driving back & forth from Florida & Texas (for both family reasons & work) - this is about the half way point. This is a safe, clean, & inexpensive Hampton. It's exactly what I need & I'll continue to use this so I can know when I need to drop off of I-10 to rest. Staff is friendly & takes care of Hilton Honors members very well. Warm comfy beds & quiet. Loved all of it & the breakfast is great to boot. (Seriously who hates a waffle machine? ) As a woman who has to make the 16-18 hour drive from Texas to Florida by herself - this is a safe port. Thanks for the great service & room! read more

It was a typical by the interstate, near the beach, roadside hotel. Nice staff and lobby but the rooms are quite shopworn and my air conditioning unit had flooded the entire three feet in front of the unit and was moldy. The food and the coffee were all lukewarm and though tasty enough, working in medical services I am keen on keeping foods at safe serving temperatures, and these were not. Overall, worth the $128 rate, but nothing special or overly disappointing. read more

Hampton Inn's are hit & miss but this one was a hit. The front desk clerk was awesome. She was so friendly and easy to talk to during my check in process. They have fresh baked cookies in the lobby and the breakfast in the morning has a wide variety of choices. The room has an updated bathroom but the room itself needed a little touch up paint soon. Do not recommend at all! After driving for 10 hours and all I wanted was a clean room but this is what I got! I tried calling the front desk as no one was present when I went backdown. I waited a good 10 and calling to no avail. Went to check out and yet again no one there. I ended up leaving as I had to get back on the road. They also need to invest in some batteries for their smoke detectors. Mine bad tape holing the flap up. You can see that there wasn't any batteries in it. Hope nothing ever happens there. read more

this hotel is in a great safe location close to casinos and restaurants and just a few miles to the beach. It's a little older, but was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I like that we were able to check in with our smart phones and get digital room keys. They had a pretty decent continental breakfast as well. The staff were very nice with every interaction we had with them. There is a small shopping center just a couple of miles away. But we especially enjoyed downtown Ocean Springs, which was recommended by a staff member. We could walk around the main streets and visit lots of boutiques. We were in town for a wedding but we did go to the Beau Rivage Casino, and watch the sunset on the beach. Highly recommend. read more

This hotel has gone through some recent renovations, and some parts are still going through them. They didn't do it during sleeping hours, thankfully, but it was still a lot of noise during the day. Also, our room was not quite up to code. The bathroom door wouldn't shut all the way. The shower head was tilted towards the wall and couldn't be moved to face the center. Those kinds of things. Other than that, it was a nice hotel. Air worked well. Plenty of hot water. Staff were friendly. read more

This was a very clean and nice hotel. We booked it on Hotels.com for a great rate. The only thing that I would say is the hotel was not at full capacity in fact we learned it was about 75% full and we were given a handicapped room. Maybe that was because of the negotiated rate with Hotels.com. The room was still clean and nice but the bathroom shower and vanity are designed differently and we would have preferred the larger vanity and tub/shower, as water gets everywhere with the open handicapped shower. Just feedback, if the rooms are available why not give a standard room? Still, highly recommend. read more

This Hampton is my home away from home. Due to the nature of my job, I stay in the Biloxi area for two weeks at a time, so I have lived in this hotel for seven months altogether. Considering the other options in the area, I feel very fortunate my company decided on Hampton inn for my second home. There are three primary reasons why this is a four star hotel: convenient location, friendly/courteous staff, and fast response times for problems that arise in the rooms. 1) Convenient location. It's a mere 10 minute drive to downtown Ocean Spring's offerings of numerous quality restaurants and shops, as well as my favorite casino (the Isle of Capri). The hotel is also a block away from I~10. So it's easy to find and quick to leave if you're traveling through the area. 2) Friendly/courteous staff. Over the course of the year I've had the chance to get to know the staff. They have always been responsive to my needs and prompt about check in/out. They also give you a courtesy call to your room phone just to make sure the room they gave you is satisfactory. 3)Fast response times for repairs. There have been several times where I have been caught as the 'first responder' for routine maintenance issues, such as a broken fridge, microwave, room phone, and even room locks. The desk and maintenance staff have always been quick to fix these issues, within a day, if not a few hours. Overall, this is a very well run hotel with good management. I've never had problems with the noise level. The rooms are spacious too, with many furnished with large office desks to place your laptop. read more

We had a very enjoyable one night stay here. The place is very clean, the beds great and the staff very friendly. They have a regular hot breakfast for those who want a cooked meal. Our choice was from the many grab and go items that were an option. They honored the AAA discount so the room rate was reasonable. We will definitely stop there again. read more

I won't go back. Checked in around 4:15 pm Sunday, July 2nd. I asked if we could have late check out on July 4th. Answer was no. The housekeeping staff leaves at 3pm. I was taken back & said I worked in hotel and asked if they were sold out on the 4th, she said yes- with attitude. I checked they were not. We had a service dog & I thought that info was in the reservation, she claims it wasn't & gave more attitude. On Monday, July 3rd, our room was not serviced (dog was with us all day). Housekeeping didn't even ask us if we wanted fresh towels. Entering & leaving, Front desk person never acknowledged us. We just never felt that we were welcomed. Other guest were wonderful. This was a great hotel. We are hurricane Irma evacuees and I goofed my reservation. Never done that before but I did this time. Dawn was at front desk when we arrived and she said she'd do everything she could to help. And she did! I was so thankful. It was stupid on my part but we were weary and she could see that. Hotel was very clean and quiet and beds were comfy. Never heard any road noise. Breakfast was a little better than most Hamptons. Fabulous fruit selection. We stayed here with our newborn for a long weekend and enjoyed our stay tremendously. The hotel was under some construction during our stay, but it did not interfere with the quality of our stay at all. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly- consistent with Hampton Inn brand. The breakfast offerings were plentiful and the staff made sure to refresh the items frequently. read more

Shady hotel employees and management. Do not stay at this establishment. The staff is very rude, and not helpful. I had a service animal staying with me for my stay and the manager told me I could not keep him that he had to stay at a boarder because he barked(news flash a dog is going to bark). Which ended up costing me $400. Towards the end of my stay I was charged $200 before I CHECKED OUT of the hotel because of pet fur. When I called to speak with the manger about the charge they said the room wasn't habitable for two days even though my dog was at the kennel and I was charged before I even left. I asked for the $200 to be refunded and they said no, I spoke with corporate and they also wouldn't refund the money. This hotel will charge you extra money and REFUSE to give it back!! BEWARE if you are a warm blooded SENIOR like me, who lives in Central Florida, I froze. The heat is pre-set to a maximum of 75 degrees and minimum of 65 degrees - it won't go above or below those temperatures. I complained to the manager on duty and he said he would do something - as far as I could tell he did nothing. Thanks for messing up my reunion. I had a choice of checking out and finding another warmer room, with a penalty of not checking in until 3 PM, or staying another freezing day. I took the latter so as not to miss the reunion activities. I did learn a lesson from my experience - call the motel and verify the room-heat situation. BUT why should I have to do that? Congrats to the hotel management - you saved a buck on the heating bill, but gave Hampton Inn a bad name. Otherwise, it was standard Hampton Inn. ONE STAR based on the heat situation. read more

I am very picky about hotels....a little OCD but this was a nice hotel. Clean and close to the beach.

This is the worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in. Whomever runs/owns this hotel leaves it grossly understaffed. The front counter person supposed to answer phones, take care of customers checking in or checking out and somehow make a run to the 3rd floor to drop off extra pillows or towels at 4:30, 5:00pm. In the morning, at a sold out hotel, you have one person taking care of the dining room. That person is supposed to empty trash cans (3 were overflowing at 9am) clean tables and stock all food and drinks. While I was there, I saw at least 8 people leave because there were no eggs, no sausages, no French toast, a small solid ball of oatmeal stuck to the bottom of the slow cooker, no milk, only Decaf coffee. After eating a waffle that I made myself, 20 minutes passed and a batch of scrambled eggs became available. (no sausage, nothing else) The other thing that was unusual was, someone was vacuuming the hallway at 8:45 in the morning. In a town with 7 or 8 casinos, I hope you planned on getting up early! perhaps the person vacuuming could empty trash or wipe down a table or two so that people don't have to eat at a table with sticky syrup spots, or clean them themselves before sitting down. We have come here for a sport tournament our team manager called and was given a group rate. Some of us are active duty military and found a cheaper price online for a military leisure rate so of course we booked that. Well they choose not to honor thay rate. We were with the group so we had to use the group rate.... our teams stayed 2 night in over 20 rooms. Well 2 night tge front desk lady had a melt down. She went off on us for "being so loud" she called the cops. They reviewed the tapes n we were not at fault. The cops were called twice. Do not book here. These kids were being great hanging out in rooms playing video games. The beds are awful ever time u moved in the beds u woke up. The fruit at breakfast was canned or previously frozen. Please stay away from this hotel. We have 2 kids n travel sports and personally n professional travel all the time. We have never experienced anything like this. Stay nect store. read more
