Had a quick trip to the area and decided to make this hotel my place to sleep. It's literally down the street from the airport and in a neighborhood of other competing hotels. First, shout out to Norman for answering all my shuttle questions even before I got there. I'm sure I asked him multiple times and he had no issues answering. Upon arrival, he was also awesome. Yes, they have a shuttle to and from the airport which is very convenient and it's not far from downtown via Uber. Highly recommend if you need someplace close and they also offer the earliest pick up time for the shuttle to the airport that I found. read more

Overall nice place to stay. Accommodation far as extra pillows etc. Had an issue with running toilet which required several discussions but finally got done. The room we had conference in has odd heating and air conditioning alternations, so we're taking sweater off and 10 minutes later putting it back on. The place was serviceable. The elevator roared sometimes; not sure if it bothered anyone sleeping next to it. The pool area was not open. Breakfast was good. The room was clean. The floor wasn't as sticky as some. The TV offerings were limited - basically, there was nothing on; maybe you could use it to access your own Netflix or other subscription. The main thing I disliked - the reason I would not stay here again - was that the bathroom door was a weird, sliding affair: when open, it would cover the closet; when closed, the closet would be open; but in any event it didn't seal, no matter which position it was in. So sounds and smells from the bathroom could permeate the whole room. Fun for the whole family! There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Therefore, for certain functions, I used the general public's bathroom on the first floor, next to the breakfast room. I hadn't seen this particular bit of creative interior design before, and I'm not in a rush to see it again. read more

I stayed here one night recently as I had an early flight the next morning. The hotel gets five stars for convenience and proximity to the airport. The front desk person was friendly and helpful when I checked in. I did not experience breakfast as I left before it was available. The room was fine. I paid a little more than a typical Hampton Inn stay but I assume that was because of the proximity to the airport. I changed hotels to be closer to the airport, but that was not really necessary as the Boise airport is small quick and easy to navigate. read more

I stayed here on my last night in Idaho after a week of driving all over the state. I was afraid it was going to be loud next to highway and the number of firefighters and volleyball players staying in the hotel. I was on the side away from the highway but facing the car park. However, it was extremely quiet. I slept well. The bed was comfortable and four pillows for a king size bed. The TV has streaming options as well as live TV. King size room has a chaise lounge in the room that was relaxing. Microwave, fridge, in room coffee maker, ice bucket. Rooms have been updated. Shower with no tub and large shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and lotion provided. Better than all that waste. Room was clean. I interacted with no staff as I did get the room on my phone through the Hilton app. I got to choose my room, get the electric key and check out without speaking to a soul. Breakfast was the standard Hampton spread with make your own waffles. There is an indoor pool and hot tub. The gym has a treadmill, free weights and a Pelton. The halls and stair wells are not updated. However, they don't look bad. It is a bit odd to see the old Hampton design in the halls and then go into your room with the new design. Odd but at the end of the day if it is clean and comfortable, I don't care what it looks like. Plenty of parking. The AC worked well and I was even cold for the first time in a week after the heat wave. Thank you Hampton Inn Boise airport. It was a great night to end my trip. read more

Parking- 5-Ample parking out front, shred lot with the Marriott across the parking lot. Ease of check-in-5- super easy, used the Hilton app and had my room set up before I arrived. Room-4-Nice and adequate overall. The plugs next to the bed and at the desk worked. Mattress/pillows-e-Nothing special, fairly comfortable mattress and several good pillows. Elevator speed/availability-n/a didn't use/stayed on 1st floor. Gym/pool-3- gym was small, bike didn't work and elevation on treadmill could not be decreased once it was raised. Didn't check out pool/spa. Restaurant- n/a WiFi- 2-Evidently the free Hilton Wi-Fi routes via VPN through Brazil, keep that in mind when accessing the internet. Recommend tethering your phone. Staff-5- All of the ladies at the front desk were fantastic. Manager asked what time I was checking out so she could ensure I had food and coffee. Available snacks-5-My favorite Monster flavor in the cooler, lots of snacks. Price-4-as expected, price did change depending on the day of the week. Overall- 4-A great place to stay near the airport (.9 miles), staff was great! Shout out- All of the front desk staff, especially the manager. Super nice! I would like to compliment the professionalism of the staff at the Hampton Inn near the Boise Airport in Idaho. In particular, I'd like to highlight a handful of individuals. Mary Ann, who performs everything from front desk and manager duties, to occasional cooking duties for the morning breakfast buffet. I engaged with her from my initial reservations to my final checkout. She is very professional, patient and cooperative, plus she has a great sense of humor. Brandon, who checked me in and also helped me with advice on local places to eat, for my first-ever trip to Boise, Idaho. Rebecca, who runs the morning front desk and was unfailingly polite and friendly, even at the early hours. Molly, who cooks and maintains the breakfast buffet, which was always excellent. All of these folks made my stay for a business trip quite enjoyable. In fact the only improvement I would make relates to storage space. Since the closet is somewhat small, and there are no drawers, it would be nice if a luggage rack/stand was provided, maybe small enough to fit in the closet. As a single traveler, I just put my suitcase on one of the desk areas and kept things like socks and t-shirts in it, while hanging up other clothing items. This would have been difficult if I had been travelling with my wife. Otherwise, a great stay and the cookies at the check-in desk are a nice touch. read more

Nice place to stay. Extremely clean and a super friendly staff. The rooms just need two things: (1). Nonslip strips in the tub. (2). Bigger TVs. The one in my room was not commensurate with the high quality of everything else. And if you do stay there request a room that faces North. The sun pouring in the room was pretty harsh, which made viewing my tiny TV screen difficult. read more

We rolled into this hotel after a long day of cleaning our apartment to move and then driving from Beaverton Ore. We had packed a small lunch to avoid a lot of contact during Covid, so arrived tired and hungry and not really wanting to drive around. The staff checked us in quickly (they were masked and behind plexiglass) and gave us a recommendation for a Applebees just down the road (a couple of blocks) who gave guests a discount. The room was clean and comfy and the shower the next day was fantastic! Though they were not doing their usual breakfast due to Covid, they had some safe options, so we got a nice start to our day and made it to our next leg without needing to stop for food. We were surprised that being near the airport it was so quiet, but we were pretty tired, so that may be us. Still a great value. read more

I wanted to take a second to recommend this hotel after having a very disappointing search for this area. I have been visiting family for a few days and wanted a hotel by the airport the last night since I had an early flight home. I personally like a nice luxury hotel but for one night and getting in somewhat late and leaving at 4 I didn't want to pay luxury prices. When doing a search of the hotels I consistently read very gross and scary reviews for almost all of the hotels. I am traveling alone and saw some situations where people felt unsafe and really started to think it wasn't worth staying and just inconveniencing my family on the day I left. I came across Hampton and didn't see anything alarming but not too many recent reviews and decided to give it a shot. Glad I did. Room was very clean. All the bathroom products were nice. Little market and what seemed to be a decent breakfast bar but I didn't have time since I left so early for the airport. Felt safe and had a good stay. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in town. read more

Had a chance to stay here when i was in Boise. Great staff, above average breakfast, comfortable beds, good place to stay. Only problem was the bathroom sink faucet and the doors. Its a slide door so it wont really have 100% privacy. Since i was staying with a friend it wasn't a big issue but something to consider before staying here. read more

We stopped at this Hampton Inn on a return trip from Yellowstone. The staff - Tasha - was wonderful, but the room was bad. We had to take a smoking room and that was ok. However, it was 108 degrees when we rolled up and the AC wouldn't get it below 86 - not acceptable. We called the front desk and Tasha was at our door in minutes. She took the cover off and attempted to resolve the issue but couldn't and after consulting the manual diagnosed it as a failed compressor. Tasha then offered us the room next door. It was a comfortable 73 so we happily moved our stuff over. Sadly, that AC unit couldn't keep up and we went to bed in a 78 degree room. When we got up after a restless night, it was down to 75. Again, not acceptable. Combine that with two broken (non-functional) light fixtures and no bathroom fan at $121.75, we cannot recommend Hampton Inns nor will we stay at one again. However, if I could employ Tasha, I would snatch her up in a minute. Two stars for the great effort, a softer than usual bed and a better than average breakfast. read more

Clean room and a nice stay for the price. There was some sort of weird banging noise that would occur periodically throughout the night. I'm not sure where it was coming from. I called the front desk, but it still never stopped. I was on the third floor near the elevator which is not what my Hilton preference is set at but I didn't care because I was close to the airport. To the best of my knowledge the noise had to have been from the elevator or the ice machine if I had to guess. read more

This was the last night of my cross country road trip. They had just finished renovating this hotel (they still had signs up saying the first floor rooms were closed, but I was given a first floor room!). All the furnishings are new and I think every room comes with a fridge and microwave. They do allow pets to stay for free but there isn't much grass near the hotel and they were paving the main street outside the hotel, so puppy and I didn't have a lot of walking choices. This was the second night in a row that I had a noisy A/C (I'd never experienced this at a Hampton Inn before, so twice in a row was super weird). Although at least this A/C made the room nice and cool, so the noise wasn't in vain. Breakfast was the standard Hampton Inn fare, the internet was fast, and I didn't check out any of the other amenities. There is an Applebee's across the street if you want to grab carryout. I'd stay here again if I was driving through the Boise area. read more

Great experience. From check in to check out and in between. They run free shuttle from and to the airport. Renovated room with microwave, refrigerator, super clean throughout and bathroom was spacious, bright and again super clean. They even serve hot, real breakfast in the morning. Options including hot omelets, potato, breakfast sandwiches among other things. Every staff member that I encountered during my stay at the hotel was very friendly, efficient, willing to help with great smile. Especially Kami, the manager greeting us at the check-in counter made us feel that this is the home away from home. What else do you expect? The hotel is what you'd expect from a Hampton, the staff were sort of annoying. The Hampton-Merridian was really close and much nicer.

An older Hampton just across the interstate from the Airport. Literally a 5 minute drive. The beds are pure Hampton. Awesome. Good water pressure. And an evening mini-meal during the week and the standard Hampton Breakfast every morning. Staff is ok. Not great. Adequate. The shuttle service to the airport is shared with two other hotels. It's not dedicated to just the Hampton like a lot of others. It's a little slow and rarely on time. The rooms are standard fare with the old room design. Desk wedged between "smallish" Flat Screen TV and the air conditioner/heater. You will either be hot or cold working at the desk. There's no way around it. Bill slid under the door as per most Hampton's but no USA Today outside the door. Whatever. Grab one in the lobby. Only option for food in walking distance is Applebee's. There's a brand new Hampton three miles west on the interstate. I'll go there next time. read more

I made the reservation via the 800# with the corporate reservation system. I needed a pet friendly room with plenty of parking as I was driving the largest U-Haul and pulling a SUV. The parking was inadequate and they blocked about 20% off due to replacing concrete. It would have been extremely difficult to back out the trailer due to the maze. The front desk attendant removed the cones and allowed me to drive though the construction. Still, the parking for trucks is a dirt lot in front of the hotel. I did not like the fact that my dog had to tramp through all of this dirt and then into the hotel room and truck (she sits on the seat). The rooms are clean though. read more

It was very conveniently located & my two little boys loved the indoor pool. The front desk lady was super nice. (feel bad i forgot her name) She gaves us cookies, suckers & chocolate covered strawberries! I saw a "deal" on Yelp where you could get two free waters upon check in. She offered them to us before I could even ask for them! The free breakfast was really nice in the morning. A wide range of food for everyone! The rooms are a fine size & the windows open. (yay!) My back was a little bit sore the next morning, but I slept fine. Probably just a different mattress then I am used to. ONE LAST PERK - you get 10% off your meal at Applebee's next door if you tell them you are staying here. We would utalize this hotel again if we ever needed to! read more

We've stayed at 3 different hotels on our 2,500 mile road trip and this Hampton by far was the best! The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and breakfast exceeded my expectations! I want to point out Maryanne (correct spelling might not be right) for being a star employee! She was the friendliest front desk clerk I've met! Providing laughter and smiles to everyone. She made our kids fun little go bags for our trip. I then caught her helping an older gentleman who had a walker dish up his breakfast and beverages. Unfortunately I only had a few hours to spend here. Drove in from Baker City, Oregon and flew out first thing in the morning. The hotel is in a very convenient location. I was even able to return my rental car early and easily walk back to the property. There are several restaurants in the local area. The shuttle bus starts early and runs frequently throughout the day. I didn't experience any delay and while there were two others on the shuttle before we two boarded, we went straight to the airport. I left the hotel around 5 and even though it was before breakfast, pastries had been set out - nice touch. read more

BOI is one of the few walkable airports I've had the pleasure of visiting. In the past, I've stayed at the Best Western. If you don't mind its indoor motel-style model, it's the the easiest to walk to. If you don't mind crossing a few intersections, you can stay at this Hampton Inn or the nearby Holiday Inn. The parking lot is immense and most of it lay barren which worried me that the hotel might not even be in business any longer. Not to worry... The hostess at the front desk doubles up her duties doing laundry which was what she was doing when I walked into the empty lobby. She came to greet me after a moment. She is very friendly and easy to laugh which is a treat and even helped me take a picture of my co-worker's mascot with their welcome sign. I was already e-checked so she just handed me a room key. My room contained an openable (at least six inches worth) window which was a welcome discovery as I caught traces of cigarette smoke throughout the room. I'm no longer used to hotels that offer smoking rooms, but this one was only lightly tainted and the odor was gone after a few hours of letting it air out. This Hilton location lets you use their wi-fi for free. It's not only fast, but the signal didn't waver even at the far end of the hall where I stayed. They give you a mini-frig and a little microwave to use with the pantry items they offer for sale in the lobby. If you're not fond of snack foods, they give you a 10% discount at the Applebee's across the street. I opted to walk a mile up Vista Ave to the Albertsons for exercise! From 6 to 10 AM they have the traditional Hampton Inn hot breakfast in the spacious lobby across from the front desk. It's not the healthiest stuff, but it's free! read more

The clerk at the front had several responses.....this is the way it is...really??????........the technician left an hour early and wouldn't respond....they were all booked up and could only move us to the adjacent room where it was also 80 degrees and no working AC.....and the entire city area was booked up.....ALL of which was said just to keep us there....after giving some time to see if the air conditioning would "kick" in.......we left in a jiffy and went to a beautiful hotel that we booked because the front manager wouldn't help us....only 2 miles down the road...where we enjoyed a 65 degree room. I was trying to book a room for my 17 yr daughter who will be visiting Boise State but traveling with another family. I love staying at Hampton. But this is my first time at this location, and my first impression was disappointing. The staff at the desk seemed totally disinterested in my presence, and then sent me to a room that was ALREADY OCCUPIED. Huge deal breaker. The (right) room was clean and comfortable as usual, so at least the housekeeping staff have their crap together. While I will continue to stay at Hampton Inn's, I will never stay at this one again. read more

I really liked staying here and will stay here on my next trip to Boise as I found the rooms well maintained and the price was reasonable. The front desk staff was awesome, I worked out in the gym room (no complaints) and soaked my feet in that jacuzzi. So recommend. Only draw back is though its close enough to town, not much is there in the immediate surrounding the hotel area. We came with a group for the Region IV Soccer championships and stayed for 7 nights. Let me just preface this review by saying that our particular team travels quite frequently all over the nation (and sometimes internationally) so I feel that we have much to compare this stay to when in comes to sports team accommodations. The Hampton Boise Airport knocked it out of the park! If I had to sum up the staff performance in one phrase, it would be "Above and Beyond." Each staff member went out of their way to accommodate our needs both individually and as a group. This made things so easy for us which is huge when you are in a hotel for that long with nineteen 15 year old boys plus a handful of adults and coaches. They made things so easy for us as we maneuvered and planned group meals, meetings, birthday dinner, etc., at the hotel. Over the last few years, I had basically resigned myself to the fact that the high level of customer service in the hotel industry had gone out the window. Yes, we stay at hotels that are nice and have a polite staff, but that is where it ends. This particular property has restored my faith in the hotel industry in regards to customer services and guest satisfaction. At the Hampton Boise Airport, the staff is not only incredibly nice, but by the 2nd day, they know your name. At this hotel, you are not just a number. You are a guest and are treated as such. The staff has a knack for going out of their way to assist you. I believe that at this specific property, the staff has mastered the fine art of paying close attention to detail. From the always-filled bowl of yummy butter mints at the front desk to the little notes and touches in the spacious, comfortable rooms,the indoor pool, to the quality breakfast each morning, you aren't just getting the standard fare. As a guest, you realize very quickly that there is great effort and thought put into every facet of your stay. The rooms are spacious and are up to the Hilton standards. The toiletries are Neutrogena and if you happen to forget a toiletry, the staff is quick to assist. Bed linens are of good quality as well as the plentiful bathroom towels. There are plenty of outlets to plug devices (a big deal to teenagers) & the nice big flat screens are great as well. Once you awake from a nice slumber in the comfy beds, you have the option of their complimentary breakfast they offer. The breakfast has a nice long run time (6am-10am) with a vast array of options. It is evident that a lot of thought and planning goes into the daily breakfast and when your hotel is your home away from home for seven days, a good quality, tasty breakfast is great to wake up to. There are great options for hot(meats/eggs/potatoes)cold breakfasts as well as fresh fruit, breads, cereals (with different milk choices), yogurts, a legit oatmeal bar with all the fixin's (again, they don't miss any detail) Waffle griddles, where even the batter they use is a vanilla flavored that turns out quality hot waffles. Whip cream too! They leave no stone UN-turned at their breakfast. It is set up very nicely and super organized with little signs & quotes written on little chalkboards for labeling purposes. They do a great job of maximizing space in the lobby/breakfast area. The 2 staff members that were in charge of breakfast throughout our stay were Ron and Karen. Each of them is attentive and kind. They take the time to chat with you and ensure that you have an enjoyable morning.They are more than helpful in answering any questions about Boise or anything else we needed to know. You feel as if you are eating in their own personal dining room. I'm a breakfast gal, so it meant a lot to be able to have the access to such a nice breakfast each day. But it was more important for our athletes to be able to properly fuel up each morning.Kudos! Once breakfast is cleared away, they bring out 2 of those large, clear water jugs with spigots and kept them filled until quiet time around 11pm each night. One was filled with plain ice water & the other was filled with fruit infused water. I never remember the same fruit infused water used twice. Each day was a different water. My favorites were the cucumber mint & the strawberry lemon. Also in the lobby set out for guests periodically throughout each day was a nice tray of warm cookies that they would bake right down in the breakfast area.The smell was to die for and the chocolate chip and white chocolate macadamia nut cookies were a treat! I ate more than I care to admit. Mary Ann as well as other staff members would actually whip up special batch for us if we were congregating in the lobby hanging out watching tv or working on homework,etc. A very thoughtful gesture. Thank goodness for the scale in the fitness room to keep me in check! Bottom line for my review is that the staff spoiled us. Every effort was made to make us feel welcome. Where they lack in size, they make up for in the flawless execution of a comfortable guest stay. read more
