My complaint is solely about the staff at this location. I wound up staying here for the very first time with family and it was a complete disaster. We checked in last Thursday only to deal with tons of hockey teams staying at this location. I have stayed at other hotels when these sort of things have happened before, but this was on a whole Nother level. I've never seen staff members just care so little about protecting their own property when kids are literally running a muck all over the place with hockey sticks in their bathing suits trashing rooms. The coach and the chaperones were drunk almost every day. We were there hanging out in the lobby and letting the kids do whatever they wanted. Any other hotel I have stayed at would've never allowed that. When we tried to go to sleep, kids were constantly running up and down hallways, shouting, screaming, and nobody was doing anything about it. We told the man at the front desk about what was going on, but he did not seem to care. The room itself was fine and big enough for my family. That's the only positive thing I can say about this. Maybe the staff act better and differently when they don't have all of these teams running around but truthfully because they just did not care about what was going on. I don't think I will return here. I'd rather stay at a hotel that has a strict. No noise policy passed a certain time of night and pay a little bit extra if that is insured. read more

Stayed here one night 2/7-2/8 with my family after driving in for a birthday event for my son. We checked in at front desk at 6:30pm and were quoted $165/night for a 2 bed room on first floor. We offered to pay the woman who checked us in cash at our arrival for the room and she indicated that we couldn't pay cash until checkout and needed to provide a credit card on file but that at checkout all charges would be reversed so we could pay cash as we wished to do. She told us that the total with ALL taxes and fees at checkout for our room would be $185. Flash forward to check out time and we go to front desk and speak with man on duty with cash in hand to pay for the room. He proceeds to inform us that the total for the room was $225 and not the agreed upon $185 as indicated at checkout. He said the room was $200/night (we were told it was $165 at check in, remember!) and the total was $225 with taxes & fees. We repeatedly attempted to explain to the man that the staffer who checked us in provided us with an entirely different quote for the room and he rudely declined to assist us in any way and just said "Well you can try to call on Monday when there is a manager here but I don't know what that will do...". We needed to get on the road to our event so couldn't continue to beat a dead horse with a person who didn't care and wouldn't listen. As soon as we got into the car we immediately called the credit card company to dispute the charges and at that time the credit card company informed us that there had been about 4 charges made and reversed by Hampton/Hilton on our card and none of the charges at ALL matched with amount the front desk staff provided at check-in! There was one charge that seemed to be close to the $185 as discussed but even that was off (it was $192) there was also a charge of $39.95 that was charged and reversed several times to the card that we NEVER authorized so not sure what was going on there! Even the credit card company said that the charges seemed "concerning"! I'm not sure what's going on with the staff/management at this hotel but one thing I am absolutely positive on is that my family and I fell prey to a bait and switch courtesy of Hampton Inn of Marlborough, MA and I'm not pleased! If you said the room was $165/night for (2) full beds, I am going to expect to pay $165/night...not $200/night! I mean, if we wanted to spent $200/night...we would have stayed at a better star rated hotel with better amenities or at least caring and competent staffers who didn't ignore or concerns and had us leave the hotel feeling cheated and lied to! Looking forward to speaking with the manager on Monday to hopefully get this sorted out but I wanted to let any would be guests traveling through the area know that they may be lied to and overcharged! read more

Stayed there 6/28/25, one night. Pluses: - Nice pillows! I really liked mine. (neck issues). Ordered one from Hilton.com when I got home. - the Roman shades are a pleasant addition to the window, instead of the vertical type. (not that there is much of a view, just treetops.) - Lots of lunch/dinner options nearby. - We like Hampton Inns, and generally choose one in our travels. Minuses: - A little bit of noisy kids-running-up-and-down the corridors at night. - Really cramped little elevator running, out of two elevators. - On entry - where is the check-in desk? Behind the breakfast area on the right...a little disorienting on entering. Make it easier! - Wishing that you had a hot tub near that massive pool... - Beware of any sports tournaments going on locally, prior to booking - watch out for all those young, noisy athletes who may be bunking there. - Had to squat down really low to use the toilet in the room! read more

I dont expect much from a chain hotel in the burbs, but there were a couple items that made this one of the less comfortable work trip hotel stays. The good: 1) I love that they provide earplugs. It was a Thursday night and the hotel was quiet and I didnt need them, but I appreciated them being there. 2) The desk area and chair were confortable and the internet was fast. 3) The faux wood finish on the furniture and closet were actually really nice and luxurious looking. 4) Free plentiful parking, and the location is right next to a shopping center with a grocery store. The not so good: 1.) The shower in my room was visually dirty. I dont know it if was stained or what but it was offputting enough that I didnt use it. I didn't ask for a new room because I just needed a place to crash for one night before moving on, and I am sure they would have been happy to fix the situation, hence why they are getting an average rating. But the point is I shouldn't have been given a room with a shower like that to begin with. 2.) This is a totally minor thing, but the wrap advertisement in the elevator had a variety of hot sauce on it, including Franks. But there was no variety of hot sauce available at the hotel. I dont really care that much about hot sauce, but if you are going to advertise it to me 5 times a day in the elevator and get it in my head I want it only to not have it, that's just kind of rude. Especially when I am from Buffalo and have a Franks addiction. 3.) When I arrived the woman at the front desk was having a heated argument with someone on the phone. For a good 5 minutes. It was obvious that the person on the phone was being difficult, but its still not the best welcoming experience when that is your first interaction with the hotel staff. I wouldnt be opposed to staying here again, but if I had to be here more than one night I would have absolutely demanded a new room with a cleaner shower. read more

The best beds by far, super cushiony, FRESH WHITE SHEETS. Usually when I goto a hotel the first thing I do is pull down the top cover of the bed since those are usually not washed, but I didn't have to do that here. You can feel that they're clean... they're brilliant white so it's intended to be visibly clean. The bathrooms were all very very up to date and clean, exquisite care from the staff and this is what you get- fresh clean towels, spotless surfaces, and a very functional shower/bath with no signs of corrosion from the tiles or grout. Very very well maintained and clean. The lobby is also very pleasant-24/7 coffee and tea and the lounge is very welcoming. Free wifi, an indoor pool that's opened until midnight, and gym too. read more

Located off 495 in Marlboro, this is a standard Hampton Inn....Similar architecture...but as I walked in to check in...I could smell the fresh popcorn by the check in counter....what a nice sweet smell to welcome guests...they also have the famous freshly baked cookies originally from the DoubleTree Brand..now in most Hilton properties. The room was nice, a bit dated....carpet was clean but old. The bed was comfortable. The bathtub was clean but a bit of a musty smell....something to improve upon. The workout room is small but practical. The breakfast was Ok...not bacon or sausage only bagel toppers and breakfast fries. It would had been nice to get a meat protein in the morning... I stayed here overnight with my father, everything I didn't expect! This was my first time staying with Hampton Inn and they far exceeded my expectations. We originally booked 1 king but instead upon check-in request we got 2 doubles. They also allowed us to check into our room early, the room was large and the bathroom was clean. I'm a HHonors member who travels 2 weeks out of the month for work. I am constantly at Hilton hotels and I've never had an issue with a Hilton property before this. I booked the hotel online and after driving 6 hours to get there, I was ready to check in and relax before my early wake up call the next morning to head into Boston for work. I checked in with the front desk, they gave me the room key, a bottle of water and as I was about to head to my room, sprung on me that I would be in a smoking room, said casually, like it wasn't a big deal. I went up to the room to see how bad the smell was, for someone who doesn't smoke, it was unbearable. First of all, what hotels still have smoking rooms?? Secondly, when I book a non smoking room, and you just book me into a smoking room because all the other rooms are sold out without asking if that's okay, it's rude. Instead of dealing with the hotel staff, who clearly could have cared less, I called HHonors and they booked a different Hilton property for me to stay at a few miles away. The hotel gets 1 star only because I can't give it 0 however HHonors gets 5 for doing a great job accommodating their members even when it's not their fault. read more

As good as anyother hamptons location. I have been diamond member for the last 3 years .. Stayed 220+days a year in hilton properties. I can tell that this place do treat their customer special. Not many guest services can offer good service and great you and remember your name. I felt special. Nice and typical Hampton Inn. Nice indoor Pool and hot tub (aka whirlpool) that no one else seems to use. Rooms are average size, they do not stuff the in-room frig with over priced drinks and soda (+1), bathrooms has a full tub ( not oversized). Still not enough drawers. read more

Stalker security guards popped up everywhere. At check-in, standing there whispering to eachother. Going to the room, scary guy staring me down as I entered my room. Went to store to get bottled water and was followed out to parking lot. Went to the gym in the morning, he followed me from the elevator to the gym, then stood at pool and uncomfortably and awkwardly stood there looking at me. Weird. Stopped at this hotel enroute to Connecticut/Rhode Island and knew that Hampton Inns have comfortable beds and I would get Hilton points so I was there. The room was cozy and I couldn't hear the neighbors but honestly didn't feel comfortable on the property because of the security guards. I don't recall any at other hotels I stayed at, so I'm not sure why security was so thick. read more

I've stayed here twice in the past year, both trips were for one night only. The hotel does a couple of things that make it stand out. Most Hamptons offer free cookies each night, this Hampton offers free cookies and a popcorn machine! They also have a really nice staff at the front desk. I came in late one night and they chatted with me for a bit. My second stay I arrived an hour early and they let me check in. (Of course, I had to stay in a handicap room on the first floor because of the early check in, so it wasn't my favorite stay) The shower pressure was pretty meh, and the water only stayed warm for 3 minutes during my 10 minute shower. On the bright side, the cold water sure made my hair shiny. You can hear the room next door quite clearly if you are staying in a conjoining room. My next door neighbor was enjoying an adult video at six in the morning. I usually wake up with coffee, but hey to each his own. Their breakfast was pretty lack luster. Also, the room was packed with guests sitting around chatting and I had to eat standing up. Of course, that wasn't the Hampton's fault but it annoyed me nonetheless. The room was clean and equipped with all of the standard Hampton features. I only gave it three stars because I wasn't WOWED by the property. They few things I mentioned above resulted in the minus one star. I was happy with my stay and I would certainly stay here again if I was in the area. read more

Great hotel. It has been renovated and maintained very well. Better than any Hampton Inn I have been to. There are a mix of businessmen, sports teams, and families. The WIFI and breakfast are free, awesome. The coffee is freshly brewed every 3 hours. I appreciate that. It is conveniently located close by several restaurants, subway, panera bread and Hannaford Marlborough which has very good sushi stand and sub. Everything is great except my encounter with a 7-8 years old boy who kept popping out of the corner. One night, I craved for some snacks around 11 pm, so I walked to the vending machine. I turned around to get to the elevator and there he was standing quietly looking at me from the corner in front of the elevator. Thank God for the well-lit hallway. I almost had a heart attack. I was scared of ghost, of course. I was holding my breath and put up a brave face to ask the boy why he was standing there for at 11 pm.He said he was waiting for his friend to come up and go to sleep with him. I took the elevator downstairs to the snack machine. My heart was still beating fast, hoping he would not pop into the elevator with me. Downstairs, there was a group of teenagers hanging out in the lobby and a girl getting her hot chocolate at the coffee corner. That must be a friend he was waiting for. I got my snack from the snack machine downstairs and headed back upstairs. I was holding my breath hoping that the boy would be gone when the elevator door opened up. Yes!!! he was not there. I was relieved walking back to my room. There, he was again. Popping out from the wall in front. He probably tried to scare his friend. I almost died. I walked a few feet further to see a room door propping opened. That must be his room, close by the elevator. I couldn't sleep that night. read more

The rooms were nice BUT they put a block on the AC in the rooms so it cant go below 65 degrees. And let me tell you, it's a very hot 65 degrees! I even asked at the front desk for it to be turned down and she said she couldn't and maintenance was on site to look but she could send someone the next day. However I don't think anyone came to look at it because it was still hot in my room. Another women I saw in the elevator asked me if I was staying here. After I told her I was, she asked if my room was too hot because she was having troubles too. Don't stay here if it's hot out! It made for a very long, uncomfortable and sleepless week. read more

The receptionist was very rude and unprofessional. There was no supervisor/manager on site to address the issues with the receptionist, Mischelle. She accommodated some other customers with a smile, but when interacting with us, she was rude. She said she was busy and did not have time to help us check in. We had already paid for the whole stay electronically and just needed to check in. She refused to check us in, called her "supervisor" and said that we were "harassing" her. I requested to speak with the supervisor, but she ignored my request and gave us a phone number that no one answered. We called Hampton Inn customer support and Hilton support and complained. They did not do anything because our reservation was through a third party. We cancelled our reservation and stayed at Sheraton instead. We will never return to that hotel nor will we stay at any Hilton group hotels. The customer service was at its worst. The fact that the person interacting with guests is an unprofessional, racist, liar is totally unacceptable! read more

So I've been on a road trip past few days and traveled around MA, Rhode Island and Boston area and I came upon this inn. Me and my friend decided to stay here and we had a great stay. The hotel room is very clean and the hospitality is excellent. The hotel offers you complimentary breakfast and it was absolutely delicious with a variety of waffles, eggs and bacon with assorted cookies and breads and juices. It was a great experience. I recommend anyone who is in the area for a night or two to go here. It's affordable and nice. read more

I loved staying here for one night in November 2013. I was in Marlborough for a 2-day natural living exposition (note: you can easily walk to the expo center in Marlborough from this hotel) and it was a great experience. I arrived in Marlborough around 10AM and was able to check-in to a room early! That made everything so much easier for me because I was able to check in, then head right over to the expo. Awesome. Just stayed here for 3 nights and, except for a minor credit card issue that I'm sure will be cleared up, the stay was pleasant...Great breakfast and they have "to go" breakfast in a bag which had a piece of fruit, a granola bar, muffin, and a bottle of water...nice touch...The in hotel breakfast is great...especially when staying with a 7 year old...Those meals can add up...Free EXCELLENT coffee all the time...with to go lids and all the fixings... The room was decent...I'm not a fan of hotels and i always notice mistakes...like light fixtures that aren't flush or paint over wallpaper on the edges, or the fact that I had to hold the toilet seat up while I stood over it because it would fall...But really overall, and for the price the place is great, pool is great, and I'd stay here again...options for food delivery are pretty bad...Would not recommend the Panda something, Chinese place...terrible... Funny I just saw the review about what she referred to as "Stalker security guards"...I saw them too...It was kinda strange to see a guy that was nearly in full cop attire standing there as you get your coffee and eat breakfast...But they didn't bother me... read more

I cannot say enough positive things about my stay here. It's located a short drive away from many places to eat and shop and that's always a plus for me. The lady at the front desk was very pleasant and our check-in and checkout were very easy. The room was very clean and nicer than expected for the price we paid. Free breakfast is always a plus and the hotel had one. I will keep this short and just say if you're looking for a very nice place to stay with a great staff and quiet, relaxed atmosphere then this hotel is for you. We had the absolute best service at this hotel over the last week. We were there for a girls hockey tournament. The hotel handled all the teenage girls quite well. My older daughter became sick one night, and we called the front desk about getting our hockey player daughter into another room ASAP so she wouldn't get sick. They responded so quickly, they were sold out, but worked some magic and had her in another room within minutes. She had her key waiting at the desk and got her situated. Hell Night. Checked in to find hotel overrun with unsupervised 10 year oldish hockey players from near by sports complex. Unattendant parents drinking all night in common areas and outside my window in parking lot smoking and partying. Kids running in and out of rooms playing in hallways throughout the hotel till into the later hours. After driving and working all day needed rest that was impossible. Staff was ill trained to deal with unruly guests after I called down and reported noisy conditions. Staff implied I should have known that this was a favorite stay for the sports crowds from the complex. Was finally moved and comped a room after calling local police to quell the situation. Never encountered In my life such a horrendous stay at a hotel. Beware! read more

We had a conference in Leominster, so we stayed here on the way home. Nice room, everything was quiet. We loved the room. Upon arrival, We were informed that a number of sporting teams were booked for the night and that we should plan on having breakfast later in the morning, as they would be gone after 8:30. We arrived at breakfast at 9:30 and found that at least one team was still there and the food was gone. We left for the road with no breakfast, which is not a hardship for us, but it is a highly advertised point that Hilton and Hampton Inns pride themselves on their free breakfast amenities. This was poor planning on the part of the inn and, knowing that school teams are booked there, we will not be returning to this inn. We will not stop using other Hilton properties , but this one we will avoid! read more

Our family stayed at this hotel for 3 nights... Excellent! The rooms were great with a nice sized bathroom and very comfortable beds. Our absolute favorite part was the breakfast, though.
